This sight and others advise that this is Stonebridge Benefit Services Inc., a company that is authorized to market J. C. Penny products. I would respectfully submit that this is not the image Penny's wants.....bothersome telemarketer.

You buy something from Jcpenny catalog (over phone or internet) and you'll be asked if you want a "$10 mail in rebate with a free 30 day trial offer." They are owned by JCP, but stonebridge services it and handles all ur money.
They target little old ladies because they are forgetful and sign up for them, forget to look at their transactions, and just pay the 9.95 fee every month because they forgot to cancel their membership before the trial period was over. this is how stonebridge gets ur number and offers you insurance. if you try to cancel your membership, you'll be offered a insurance product, which if you accept but hang up before going to the licensed agent, they'll put u in a call back que. and unless you request for them to stop, THEY'LL KEEP CALLING!!!
When you get your membership, most likely you'll forget. You'll never notice you didn't get your package "or you threw it away, not knowing what it was." And for the idiots who don't check their statements for years, you end up paying alot of money to them. If you are one of these people, here's what you do. The max you can get back is 4 months credit of 39.80 or you can request for the tape to be sent to you, but it'll cost them $175 to pull the tape so they don't want you to do this. Their offer will be "take the 4 months or get no money or just one credit and we can pull the tape to authorize the enrollment of the trial membership. if you authorized it, you won't get anything more back. if you DIDN'T, you'll get ALL your money back." most times they did accept it, but you never know!!! =o) Good Luck and go get em!!!

Received calls from this number ever since signing up for a JC Penney card. Annoying as heck!!!! We have an unlisted # and they call in Spanish. We do not speak Spanish. Just entered my phone number when given the "do not call option". Hope it works.
Just received the 3rd call @ 6:51 ET and what they are trying to sell, at least this time is insurance. I am sure there are going to be many of these insurance scams since this idiotic health care bill is trying to be pushed through. I told my mother to just hang up on them or just don't answer the phone.

Have been receiving calls for at least a year now. We answered the first few times but always told the person that we werenot interested. This does not stop the calls. When our ID shows Ben Stonebridge we just do not answer. Would like to know how to stop the calls. It is very irritating to have to get up to see who is calling at all times of the day and night and find out it is this Ben Stonebridge.
However, further investigation finds that Stonebridge has ties to Capitol One. I do have an active Capitol One account, one I wish I had never started and am doing my darnedest to get clear of ASAP. Still, I don't recognize Stonebridge, nor the need for their services, whatever they are.
We have no ties to JC Penney, at all. No credit card, no nothing. I can't remember the last time we shopped at JC Penney since there is no store locally.

Stonebridge IS tied with JC Penney--but their "benefits services" are indeed shady and best AVOIDED. JCP customers should INSIST they are NOT to be contacted by ALL third party companies/callers. Go one better and INSIST the same to your store or credit card services. The DNC Registry does NOT work against Stonebridge, because they're loophole protected under the consensual third party
clause currently in the plan. I'm speaking to my D.C. elected officials to lobby for closing that loophole in the DNC Registry plan.

I received approx 5 to 10 calls a day from this number and no-one leaves a message. Being a senior, it takes me a little longer to get to phone, and everyone knows to start talking and I will pick up...so, it is a little annoying to make the effort and then I get a hang up. Today, I was near the phone, when it rang, I usually screen my calls, but, I picked it up. It was a gentleman that answered, I had ordered a book online about 5 months ago and apparently there was small print and unless you checked a box you were automatically enrolled in 2 programs and when these unknown charges were added to the credit card I used to order the books I questioned them. After numerous hours of investigation I got a hold of those companies and cancelled. The charges were quickly taken off my credit card and have never been charged again...thankfully. However, about a week ago, I started receiving these calls from stonebridge ben(efits). They are calling to sucker me into accepting those programs I cancelled and add some of their own scams. I asked to be put on their "do not call" list and was told it would be done. All I can say is be careful when ordering anything on-line and keep a close watch on your credit card statements.
Ben Stonebridge is a telemarketing company that will call your home regardless of whether you are on the "Do Not Call" Registry. They get your number from a credit card company like J.C. Penney. "Ben Stonebridge" showed up on my caller ID for months, and they would call 2-3 times a day early in the morning and again around 7 or 8 at night. Everytime I picked up the phone, there was a recording. I didn't know what to do about it, so I filed a complaint with the FTC. I think I am going to have to change my number.
This number calls daily. Three times a day. Yes literally. They call at 10pm when I finally get the kids to bed@!!!

Identified herself as Melissa with Stonebridge Benefits. I was selected because of my excellent record with American Express. Had the last four numbers of my Amex card. Offered a membership in some discount buying club. "What is my Amex account number," I sasked? "I don't have that," she replied. "Then how can you bill me?" "The computer has your full account number." "It better not," I said. Asked where her organization was located. "Tennessee", she said. Where in TN? "I don't have to tell you that," she replied. Persisted in her attempts to "sign me up". Said if she didn't tell me the name and address of the company I was going to make a BBB complaint. She became even more rude and abusive. I have a new mission in life, to track these idiots down and file a class action suit.
This 'Ben Stonebridge' number has been calling twice a day for three days now. I just called the number and placed my number on their dnc list. Only time will tell.
This is JC Penney calling to push people to buy a supplemental medical plan. They don't like to take no for an answer.
Phone calls occur daily, weekly and monthly. They are persistent and rude. I've asked them multiple times to take me off of the their list...they still call. I called JcPenney customer service after viewing this site and explained the problem that several of us are having with Ben Stonebridge. They transferred me to a rep. from Stonebridge who apologized and said he would take me off of the calling list immediately (not the 30 days later like I've been told before). If I am called ever again...I'm thinking this would be an awesome investigative report for the media to put out nationwide...Headline: Ben Stonebrigde Insurance Harasses Thousands of People Daily. I can't imagine JcPenney would want to be affiliated anymore...just a hunch. May God bless all of you who have endured such harassment. It is a marketing company, this time calling on behalf of AT&T. Phone number goes to Hollywood, Florida (used fonefinder.net to locate city by phone number). Am blocking them now with a free program called phonetray.

Stonebridge Benefit Services must be a parent company that covers many other smaller companies. My girlfriend responded to or recieved a call from "Consumer Resource Network" and during that $1.99 agreement they offered her a subcription to a "Save as you go" (a different company) promotion which she declined. but since they had the info they needed they signed her up for it anyway. I called them for her about the overdraft they caused by putting a $8.oo "review fee" on her checking account; they refered me to "Stonebridge Benefit Services" with a fax number and address in Texas to obtain a refund of the $8.oo and pay the US Bank overdraft fees of $37.50 plus $7 per day, might take a law suit to fix this.
this is the 5th call from this number in the past few months. No one speaks they just hang up.
I would like to be immediately removed from your telemarketing calling list. I am registered with the Do Not Call Registry, and have reported getting several unwanted calls from this number, on a daily basis.
