They call multiple times a day, even on Sunday. I know I am behind on my Lane Bryant/Cacique account that I opened in April. The problem is that I did call them back 3 times now requesting they send me a statement as I have never received one, or the credit card for that matter, from the company. I opened this account as it's supposed to help women improve their credit! HA! All they did was make mine worse. I am not going to pay this over the phone since I have no hard copy. But I do plan to go to the store where I opened the account & pay in person so that I can file a complaint. Loudly.
I was annoyed at first because they kept calling, and not leaving a message, but then after a reading a post below this could be a legit call I realized this was my wife's Beall account that slipped through the crack and was overdue. Would be nice if they just left a short message.

Call from 'Pottery Barn' telling me I'm past due. I'm way too cheap to shop there. But I played along, logged in (me fake-typing on the keyboard), 'paid' whatever amount he told me to pay (not really). I told him 'ok it's paid now' (not really), and he was just silent. THen he asked for my home address. Then I asked him to confirm my last 4 xxxx on my PB card so I know which card, and he couldn't. **CAUGHT!** When in doubt, throw the ball back on his court.

The first call from 913-563-5504 showing "WFNNB" on the Caller ID, came in at 8:10 AM on Wednesday, October 28, 2009. I was not near the telephone and was unable to pick up.
They called back only 18 minutes later. When my answering machine picked up, WFNNB did not leave a message. I'm assuming it was a computer generated dialing. If they call
back today, I will answer the telephone and let "WHO CALLED" know what they wanted. Who knows, maybe I forgot to pay a bill. If I did, it would only be one month late, so
that would rule out it being from a collection agency.
to get around harassment charges, they don't leave a message but will simply set your number on autodial until they get a response. you can try calling your phone company to place a block on all numbers from certain area codes for a start.
i see the credit card companies are getting smart -- we need to pay our bills or report them immediately.
Rule of thumb - if you don't recognize the number or area code, then it's most likely a collections agency. If you don't owe them anything, write them and report them to the BBB and to your state/local agencies to file a complaint if it happens more than once.
No longer do collection agencies go through an 800 number -- they now use tactics to become disruptive enough to make you want to pay. They believe that by calling you four times or five days a day using different numbers they avoid getting tapped for harrassment. Little do they know ALL The numbers can be traced and traced back to one entity in the end, and they will have to suffer the consequences for their harrassment. I believe most of them cannot contact more than once a week and then have to only by mail once you send a cease and desist letter for them to stop calling you.
I wish the government would crack down on these fools but they are only doing their jobs, to collect an outstanding debt whether you like it or not.

The calls come all day, every day.
First they started by calling my cell phone and then calling me at work. I have no idea how they got these 2 numbers since I never gave either one to them.
I told the one guy quite homestly that I just don't have the money right now and he sarcastically told me they will keep calling then.

They are still calling, despite me calling their 800 numbers and telling them there is no "Kelly Morgan" in this house, never heard of this person. Today I answered the phone, I figured they wouldn't take me off the list, and told the woman the same thing. I told her I had reported them to the FCC (twice now) and she replied rather sarcastically,
"Ma'am, you do whatever you need to do." They are harassing us, even when they have a WRONG NUMBER. Bunch of jerks.
These people are calling for someone we've never heard of, and tried to tell me I need to write them a letter to get them to stop! They gave me two other numbers: 800-332-1651

. The latter is voice mail only & was useless. They also stated they represented Citicards, National Cards and Ambassador Cards. I told them take me off the list or I'm reporting them to the FCC and other agencies for phone abuse. They have called for 2 weeks for the wrong person!
Yes, this is WFB calling you if you get this number on your caller I'D. They do a lot of skip tracing so you can't run from these people for too long .
They call five times a day. They are bill collectors. They ask for my wife who has been disabled for seven years and hasn't had a charge account of any kind in more than ten years. I ask them not to call back. The call back anyway. I am writing the Controller of the Currency who is responsible for policing these people.
To everyone receiving calls from WFNNB - That is World Financial Network National Bank. They are the bank that funds about 65 private (store label) credit cards, such as Victoria's Secret, the Sports Authority and Crate and Barrel. They are calling (most likely) because you fell behind on your bill and are wanting to collect the missed payment.
I worked there for about a year, we used a auto-dialing system, so if you get quite a few hang ups, it's probably because the computer that is actually calling you didn't register your voice on the line before it ended the call.
The computer usually calls 2 - 5 times a day until it gets and answer, it will connect you with an associate, then take you off the list to call once you have spoken to someone about the bill. You have to keep in mind that if you have more than one card through WFNNB, you are going to get 2 - 5 calls per delinquent account.

Lane Bryant- I actually caught them one day. The wife sent a payment late. How they got my cell number, I don;t know.

They called this morning (Saturday) at 8:00am from 913-563-5513
asking for my wife. She passed away 2 years ago from cancer at age 44. I know we did not owe a penny to any clothing store.
It's a credit card collection group from Lane Bryant or the Avenue or some other of their group for clothing.

They called twice today, did the *not a sales call* bit, then I waited and nothing happened. I hung up both times. I do not owe anything on credit cards, so must assume they want to sell me one. Jerks. I despise automated calls. If they want to talk to me, have a human do it.

If you have an account that is past due with a clothing store they will call you until you pay them.Once i've answered and they are very rude and do want your information. even though you should never give out your info. so just go pay you past due account thats all they want. i havent paid mine yet but im fixing to pay the whole amount in full hopefully they will stop.
Get over it....this is the collection arm of Avenue (women's clothing). Someone in your house is past due on an account! They don't make mistakes. Neither can they tell anything to anyone except the person on the Avenue account. That is the law.

These peolpe call at least two - three times daily. This incldes Saturdays and Sundays starting around 8am and ending around 10pm. Never leave a message.
My caller id says UNKNOWN NAME. They are calling 2x's a day and ask for my daughter. She has not lived here in over 4 yrs. One time she was here, she answered and they hung up on her even though she said she was who they wanted.
I got a recording saying this is not a sales call and then it was interupted by a woman. Because I didn't recognize the number I said I was unavailable to find out more of what it was regarding. I got no information about it but when I googled the number I found you! Now I know what it is regarding but I wish they would give further information!

A woman asked to speak to my wife...I ?'d the call and was given a cold shoulder... she got defensive... (The woman said it was a personal buisness call.....but We know it was B/S... she hung up after I told her I would block the # if she could not elaborate a bit on the subject..... These callers (1-913-563-5504, Lenexa KS) call up to 2 times a day to speak to my daughter. She is never home when they call. Today, I asked if this had something to do with one of her credit cards, a possible theft or something of that nature. I was given a number for her to call, 1-800-827-7592

I called back the number on my caller id (913-563-5504) and it is for World Financial Bank. They service Avenue accounts/customers. I hope this info helps you.
