As of May 12 2009 Mr Rand David Barnea of Boca Raton Florida is using 941-766-9785 for his scam calls about "you have won a free Orlando Florida vacation." the website heatherwithaccountservices offers information about how Mr Barnea's scams work. If you are ever in the Boca Raton area stop by 21955 Cypress Drive apartment 48F and ask Mr Barnea to stop calling you. He owns several properties in the Boca Raton area according to zabasearch.com.

this company leaves phony numbers on caller ids so the name and number you get is worthless. check out the website heatherwithaccountservices---they have been trying to shut down these callers for some time now. If you live near Boca Raton Florida you might want to visit Mr Ran David Barnea at 21955 Cypress Drive apt 48F and request he stop calling you.

incoming recorded message last chance to lower credit card rate, press1 to connect.Account Services asking for all credit card info. Explains you're not liable for fraudulent activity. Can't provide callback number, blah blah. SCAM to extract any info from u they can use for their benefit.Phishing. I receive numerous calls. Haven't maintained phone numbers but if u redial number doesn't exist or has been disconnected. If u speak to a person explaining u have no credit card debt they hang up or make some cutesy remark. Very annoying ticks me off sure would like to see this group busted!

OK. I found the problem. You must have clicked on a link that I mistyped in an earlier post and it took you to one of those generic "search" pages that is loaded with ad links. Sorry about that.

As I posted above, the correct link for the anti-scam site is www.heatherwithaccountservices.com
TM

NOTE TO POSTER "MN":

Are you sure your clicking on the right url link - www.heatherwithaccountservices.com - because none of the site links you mention appear on that web site, all links that are there take you to other parts of that web site only and none of them link to any ads anywhere.

The correct url (above) is what I (and others) have said it is - an anti-scam website. There are no links to spam sites anywhere on it.

TM2, I have no issue with your posting that site; however, when I went there, there was no info (such as you describe below) on any of the links I clicked. Example, I clicked on Contact and got ads for companies selling contact lenses. Click on Fraud and get detective services ads. Click on Who Are You and get more PI svcs ads, and so on. Also, each link clicked presented a pop-up ad that bypassed my super-duper popup blockers.

TM or TM2, I DO take issue when you chastise posters here for not going to that PAGE (not site) and supposedly getting all the info needed to take down the scam artists. The info is not readily available. Normally, I would back out of sites that resemble that page, but I clicked the links (read adverts) because you ranted that all the info we need is available there, yet it isn't. If you don't like OUR questions, use YOUR scroll feature and breeze on by.

If by chance you can provide a better web portal (not spam) you will be taken more seriously. -MN

Was on an important call when this flashed in on call waiting, as I know people in that area I called the number back that was displayed on Caller ID and got a recording that the number was disconnected. This is obviously a major scam artist and has to be terminated before someone answers and believes the person with "a deal" on the other end.
A check on Reverse Phone Directory websites comes up with a "Nicole Knight" listing and an address on 12450 Biscayne Blvd, in Jacksonville, FL.

Rec'd call with caller ID of David Smith. Message was left in a woman's voice, saying, "Congratulations! You just won a free, all-inclusive cruise to the Caribbean. To claim your prize, press 9 now, or press 8 to be removed from the list. Again, press 9 now to receive your cruise." Other people called from the same number have gotten completely different messages.

To: Not TM. It's not my web site, pal. And I keep posting it because it seems many people don't go back and read previous posts and just keep on posting complaints about getting called by these criminals and asking the same questions over and over again, which indicates they haven't read that many of their questions are answered on that site. Ya don't wanna read it, use your scroll feature to whip right past it to get to the following post that will be a complaint asking the same questions, etc. etc.

Joe, any chance of getting some radio coverage of this scam? It a nutshell:

Their primary scam is tricking people into providing their credit card info so they can quickly post over $900 in "service" fees to the account may be armor plated enough to be judged legal (yet downright morally unethical), but the company's blatant and long-running (over one year and counting) multiple violations of the US TCPA are an entirely different matter.

Using an autodialer to place blind calls to thousands of personal landlines and cellphones including ones on the DNC list - violation (for each and every call made).

Using an autodialer to place fake Caller ID names and numbers on victim's phones and leaving unsolicited recorded messages.

Having telemarketers give misleading and inaccurate information to callers (such as lying about the name, address and business affiliation - "We are affiliated with xxxx credit card company or bank") - violation.

Telemarketers refusing (often abusively) to answer provide accurate information (see the above) when asked, - violation (each and every time the question is asked and the answer is not given truthfully).

Refusing requests to remove a person's number from your auto-dialing list- violation (each and every time the request is asked and no action is taken).

The web site www.heatherwithaccountservice.com has the information you need to help put a stop to this illegal activity.

I work for a large radio station cluster and every phone line in the building has gotten calls from Heather or Kelly or whoever about the damm car warranty, credit card, etc. I've even gotten calls lately on my business cell phone from the same numbers. 1-904-757-4253; 1-514-958-0000; 506-226-79537. Yes that is an extra 7 digit on that last one. The perpetrator obviously has the ability to change what comes up on the caller id if he slipped up an included an extra digit.

Get calls from this one all the time. Usually I just ignore, one time I answered. Got some guy who said he was from me credit card company and wanted to lower my intrest rates. Told him I didn't have any credit cards, which is 100% true, and asked who he was with. He said he'd remove my number from their list and hung up. Wasn't rude, just got off the phone quick. Thing is, they are still calling.

Donna, these illegal calls will stop only after enough people have filed complaints with the authorities using the company's real name and phone number instead of the fake ones that they see on their Caller IDs.

Please, everyone, if you want to help stop these people, go to the web site www.heatherwithaccountservices.com to get the information you need to file complaints and which authorities to file them with (links provided).

"Heather" again with different phone number. Credit card scam. Last number was 407-857-3332 answered by Tanya who hung up on me. Tried to record this and press 1 but have new machine and they hung up. When are thse going to stop!
Donna
 May 24th, 2008
That's right, Christy, and it's because selecting the automated option to be removed from their calling list is intentionally not functional (a violation of the US TCPA), and the auto-dialer that called you and left fake names and numbers on your Caller ID (another TCPA violation) is programed to periodically call every phone number in the US (another TCPA violation) even ones on the DoNotCall list (another TCPA violation) leaving recorded messages (another TCPA violation) for services you never asked for (another TCPA violation), and even if you speak to one of the telemarketers and ask them to have you number removed from their calling list, they never comply (another TCPA violation).

Go to www.heatherwithaccountservices.com to gather the information needed to file a meaningfull complaint with the authorities.

For those who post their complaints here but don't bother to read too far back into earlier posts, I repeat the following:

If you want to learn about the company (or companies) behind this scam go to the web site www.heatherwithaccontservices.com where they are in the process of being exposed (company names, owners names, etc.). THIS is the information you need for reporting to the FCC, DNC your state's Attorneys General offices AND the Florida BBB and Florida Attorney's General office, because the company and its owner reside there. Reporting them using one of their fake business names (Account Services, Card Services, Consumer Services, etc.) or the spoofed numbers that show up on your Caller ID (they use different ones sometimes daily) will not result in action being taken, but if everyone reported the real company name (it's PHL International owned by American Debt Negotiators, both owned by a Ran David Barnea), then authorities have something real to act on. Again, if you report the call as coming from "David Smith" - a fake name - from the spoofed Jacksonville, Florida phone number on your Caller ID - a fake number - then you are wasting your time.

Just go to the aforementioned website and you'll have what you need to know to help put a stop to these criminals.

Rafael, the teleco doesn't care because they make money off the calls (i.e., the scammer is paying fro the use of the toll-free numbers and the services related to placing all of those illegal calls every day). The DNC folks don't care primarily because most people who do bother to file a complaint use the bogus phone numbers that appear on their Caller ID, and the DNC can't do anything with a fake number. The DNC, along with the FCC, your own state's Attorney General office, the Florida Attorney General Office and their the Florida Consumers Services branch, however, will take action if they get enough complaints identifying the real company names behind these scam calls. That information is available at the web site www.heatherwithaccountservices.com.
