I just want to add, I had a build issue my Dell computer That I ordered was not built with the parts That I was being billed for (getting charged for stuff not in computer). I was being overcharged and called many times. just so much hassle dealing with Dell. I decided to stop payment and never paid them another dime! The problem for me is still there it has been several years and quite, but you and I know it is posted out there. I dont hate dell computers just the shady practice of dealing with dell face to face. I had a great experiance buying a Dell from walmart they have great customer service and they are a good buffer to have between you and Dell, walmart will help you with all your questions and if you have a return they will be there for you. You do only have a 15 day return but you have a year warrenty that walmart enforces that way you never have to bother calling Dell yourself! If you like Dell try walmart or go online to walmart. BUT DONT GET TANGLED UP IN DELLS CREDIT OR THE CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU WILL END UP GETTING OVERCHARGED!

This is IC Systems, a collection agency for bank cards that have been written off. Told them they reap what the sow. In 2007 I paid off 3.5 million in small business loans, had an 830 FICO score, and had ran my own business that employed 30 people for over 16 years. Then the banks decided not to make small business loans any longer because they had taken bad risks on buying up junk mortgages. After losing several big contracts because I couldn't finance raw materials, I was forced to close my business and lay off all my employees. Now I can’t pay them back… their loss. They made their bed. They can get a judgement against me, but can’t attach what isn’t there. By law they can’t take my medicaid and foodstamps, so screw them. I also advised my employees not to bankrupt themselves trying to pay these crooks, they got our tax $$$ with the TARP (JP Morgan/Chase) bailout.

They will call from multiple numbers in different area codes trying to get you to answer their calls. IC Systems calls from over 120 different numbers including: 651-204-1341 800-779-1783 651-204-1316 605-204-1304 651-204-1329 651-481-6302 888-229-8848 651-204-1310 651-204-1349 651-204-1315 651-204-1348 888-735-0697 651-204-1345 651-204-1317 877-572-0159 651-204-1313 651-204-1304 866-858-2784 651-204-1320 651-204-1337 888-735-8029 651-204-1355 800-279-9525 888-312-3593 615-204-1320 651-204-1332 888-858-2784 800-988-4145 651-483-1867 410-968-7953 651-204-2554 651-204-1351 651-204-1314 604-204-1341 651-204-1366 651-204-1361 651-204-1374 651-204-1352 410-968-7955 877-221-3940 651-204-1377 866-903-1001 800-542-9121 888-241-8960 800-844-8001 866-350-8210 651-204-1387 800-561-5695 651-804-1374 651-204-1347 522-417-4563 866-483-8593 877221 651-204-1395 888-710-7271 651-204-9006 682-351-4950 661-533-5750 651-204-1392 651-204-1301 651-204-1093 800-561-4573 605-209-5531 866-389-2466 800-279-8189 813-464-2479 214-233-7251 651-204-1344 651-204-1365 651-204-1399 501-227-4734 866-873-1819 888-474-8332 500-000-0000 510-924-1676 651-204-1463 703-291-9016 202-367-9083 651-204-1299 651-204-1357 202-367-9845 202-367-9027 603-589-7206 202-367-9769 800-988-4154 651-204-1333 651-204-1306 202-367-9234 480-487-8109 800-711-0449 888-229-8896 804-234-9011 202-367-9813 202-367-9236 866-913-5380 712-941-5127 804-234-9008 651-204-1305 651-204-1312 208-991-1267 202-367-9278 651-204-1302 651-204-1321 651-204-1371 208-991-1279 208-991-1246 703-656-9977 651-204-1461 800-737-3122 202-870-5977 888-735-0516 651-204-1379 703-656-9842 651-204-1262 208-991-1256 512-293-3673 208-515-7492

Read the contract before you sign. Don't blame the salesman nor the collector. You know what interest is. You can pay the minimum amount for 10 years and will never pay any balance off. Duh. It's not how much you paid, it's how quick you paid it. Duh.

How many of you ignorant individuals even read or understood the contract that "YOU" signed when you signed up for the the credit application? You - the debtor, failed to adhere to your "Legal" obligation to pay back the debt that you owe!. Encore reps educate and advise the cusomer of many payment options to help them get out of debt. Encore has an extensive training progam that all employees must pass in order to "Help" all consumers. Maybe, just maybe, if all the "DEBTORS" who are complaining about the debt they owe would try to make an effort to pay instead of using their extra funds on want to purshase items instead of have to payments. They would realize that they are the issue, not the companys that try to make a differece inn helping others. Get off the internet and stop playing the victum and help yourself and find a job or an addition job and pay "YOUR" dept and stop playing the blame game and pay you bill and the collection calls would stop. The choice is yours. Think about it. Who is a fault here....hummmm...if you owed me money... I would make every legal effort to get it!

Get off the internet and stop playing the victum and help yourself and find a job or an additional job and pay "YOUR" dept and stop playing the blame game and pay your bill and the collection calls would stop. The choice is yours. Think about it. Who is a fault here....hummmm...if you owed me money... I would make every legal effort to get it!

Encore doesn't just work for Dell. I've been avoiding the call, as I'm paying off my bills as I can (grad school has its drawbacks).

The no-call-list isn't at issue, though. This isn't telemarketing, it's about a business agreement you have with a company. As much as I dislike the calls, I mostly just dislike the reminder that I messed up. They're just doing they're job by putting you on an autodialer.

A Dell account is a credit account. If you dont understand credit then don't take out an account. Making the minimum payments the way that people granting credit make their money. Do you think the time value of money is free? Just like credit cards are not for maintaining a balance, neither are charge accounts.

I know that I am behind with my dell account - am in a debt relief program - Dell knows this, Encore knows this, but they are using strong arm tatics and will not back off. I have 2 dell computers that I have paid more than they are worth over the past 5 years and still have a balance that is ridiculous. If this was any other company my acct would have been paid by now. The calls from India are a joke. I just do not answer my cell phone any more. The passive- agressive tatics that they use are emotinally draining. glad I found this site and I am not alone. I hate Dell and will not recommend their company to anyone.

I will never buy again from this company and I think there should be a legal limit set on collecion practices. Due dilligence is one thing - but harrassment is another. Is there any governing agency that this collection company answers to???? I know we are all behind on our payments but sheesh....if we are giving them something...it seems like the law would prevent the harrassment...just wait till they start calling you at work! My $700 computer is now almost $2000 and paying it down is impossible...besides the fact that no one at Dell speak ENGLISH - good grief. Pass the word - never buy from DELL.

They ignore cease and desist letters as well. Dell employees can't be understood, they have NO programs to help temporary financial problems. I make up to 4 payments a month and they STILL sent TWO collections agencies after me this month PLUS their OWN calls. Dell sucks.

This is Encore - http://www.encorecapitalgroup.com. They also have these numbers:
908-854-1973
410-968-7953
651-204-1337

They have been calling my daughter's cell number (we recently got the number). The cell phone is restricted to only people in the contact list so it drops all other calls. Their machine called her cell phone every minute over the course of three hours last night.

They are a very aggressive collection company. When I tried to have them remove my daughter's cell number for their call list, they became rude and harassing. I would like to press charges. I have the records.

The other collection agengies that were calling the number gladly removed the number from their system.

These ERMI people for Dell have called me up to 12 times in one day AND they have called like every 30 seconds to a minute apart 5 and 6 times in a row. Bought a Dell computer almost 4 years ago with a credit limit of $1500 and now it is pushing $2000. You can't get these accounts paid down and the outsourcing they do make it nearly impossible to understand what's being said. I will NEVER buy another Dell!

Cassandra did not identify the company in her voice message and when I called back the recording did not state the company's name. If this is Dell's collection agency then there has been a mistake since I have no Dell products.
