So I returned the call and had to fight with an automated system (that insisted it could help me if I provided my account number, which I don't have b/c my provider is US Cellular) in order to get a representative on the line to speak with. The rep tried to make excuses for why T-Mobile was calling me about non-payment of Dell Connor's phone bill. A male that I have never heard of and do not know. I was told that my phone number would be removed from T-Mobile's computer since was input as a "secondary contact number" for Dell by mistake. I was told that it may take 48 hours for my number to come off the computer's call list.
That conversation occurred only 90 minutes ago. Since then T-Mobile has called my cellphone 3 times. It this continues, then I will receive a total of 6 calls every three hours. Based on the foregoing, I expect to receive 96 calls within those 48 hours that the rep said it would take for my number to be removed from the computer.
I am glad that T-Mobile has no stores in my area. If it does come to my area, I will never use the service. It is ridiculous to treat people this way.
T-Mobile is calling me up to 3 times per day to speak to a male named Dell about his unpaid bill. My cellphone provider is US Cellular. There are no T-Mobile stores in my area of Northwestern Indiana, so I do not know why they are calling me about some guy's unpaid bill that I have never heard of. T-Mobile is threatening to cut off my phone service, but my phone number and service provider is US Cellular.
I'm receiving numerous calls at all hours of the day and night because some inept person input the wrong phone number into T-Mobile's system. Every feel like you are just one DUMB ASS away from losing it?
If this didn't come from a third party robo-caller, T-Mobile's billing department is completely incompetent. I received a voice mail wanting some bizarre name to return the call about wireless service. The call came on a T-Mobile prepaid phone I've had for several months. Did they:
1. Check current account holder's name against overdue account holder's name. Probably not.
2. Verify when number was assigned vs when payment was due? Obviously not.
Pretty embarrassing I'd say.
Not Whoever Jul 09th, 2012
It is T-Mobile. When you cancel your service with them they harass you to pay any remaining money owed before they even send you a bill. I received a letter threatening me with collections before they ever even sent me my final billing. Then to make things worse they billed me for entire months service when it was cancelled two hours after my new billing period started. I loved T-Mobile and had them for years. I recommended them to everyone. Never again.
This call is from T-Mobile.
didn't leave message - but it's T Mobile
They never leave a message but I am tired of them harrassing me!
I called 611 and they verified this number is associated with T-Mobile Finance.
I called the number and it is T-Mobile. I was behind on my bill.
A bill collecting company named ERC (their statement) keeps calling me even though I asked them not to. A number does show in caller ID when they call. They have called my family in another state and bothered them as well. Also my e-mail has been hacked and every person in my contacts list has gotten 2 e-mails with negative statements about me and my money situation, they even make me sound suicidal.
Needless to say my friends and family were worried sick because of the worried sick because of these e-mails. Who are these people who think that we the people will put up with this? What can be done about them?
T-Mobile past due acct dept, absolutely true not a scam..if a person doesn't have tmobile the person with the same number before them did..past due. If I pay my bill it takes a few days for the collection dept to see it, no worries its paid, just tell them and they will quit calling. Ha, I am past due quite frequently so they bug often, but it usually takes 3 weeks of being behind and that is a plus my friends!!
no message but it is t-mobile
Omg ppl... You filthy mouths really show your maturity. Pay your bill. The number calls me every time I get a little behind on my T-Mobile account. Always has.
This is NOT T Mobile, its a scam. I checked every single number listed on T Mobiles website, and this number is NOT listed. Also, they called me to ask me some questions to see if they could lower my monthly payments. First, that's a complete lie. Why would any business want to lessen income they have coming in?? They aren't going to voluntarily help you lower you bills. Secondly, if you have a past due account with T Mobile, they send you 1 single text message each month its late. They never call (unless perhaps you are over 60 or 90 days past due), and at that point they probably send you delinquent account to another company for them to collect on the amount, so it can't be the credit department or billing department asking for money.
Scam Hater Nov 29th, 2010
Yeah, it's T-Mobile. They are calling to harass me over my past due phone bill. They are worse than the mob. However, I have a pretty decent phone (SGH-T118) that can block specific numbers through receive call options.. You should look into your phones options and do the same. Hope this helps.
baptizedbyfire Nov 19th, 2010
This is a scammer!! BEWARE, not LEGIT T-Mo. Anyone who says it is, is a fcking liar!!!!
When I called the number back, I got T-mobile's billing department, which looked up my account (it is past due).
Larry Collins Sep 29th, 2010
They've called me 10 times since the 7th and haven't left me a message. It's pissing me off. I called T-Mobile's main number, and they said my account was paid in full. So I don't think it's T-Mobile.
it was T-Mobile calling to tell me that my account is past due.
I keep getting calls from this number on my SPRINT cell phone. I have another cell phone as well, but it is with AT&T.
I do not and never have had an account with T-Mobile.
I am changing my number because of so many fraudulent calls.
called won't leave message or anything
SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!
These calls are part of a sophisticated ID theft scam operation. Those people on this comment board claiming that this really is T-Mobile are either part of it or idiots that gave their info and were scammed. Look at how many comments were from people that either didn't have a T-Mobile account or were current on their account.
If you get a call DON'T call back and certainly don't give them ANY personal info. If you screwed up and did, place a fraud alert on your credit report. You can do this online with any of the 3 agencies. They will report to the other 2.
GOOD LUCK AND BE CAREFUL!!!
SCAM ALERT Jun 28th, 2010
t-Mobile spam #. Don't respond or give any information.
This is the # for Tmobile's accounting department. They call when you have a bill past due.
tmobilecustomer May 24th, 2010
It's T Mobile, supposedly they only call if you have a past-due amount on your bill. However, there have been plenty of times we've already paid the bill and they keep calling anyway. Like now for instance. We paid the bill - before the due date, mind you - in full earlier this week. Then starting this morning, they've called several times today. It's extremely irritating. They will call at all hours of the day too - I've gotten calls as early as 7 AM and as late at 11 PM. I just turn the phone off when they start calling - I know our bill has been paid, there is NO reason for them to be calling especially not at such early/late hours and not 10+ times a day!
This is T-Mobile. They left a message.
T-Mobile. The message is in spanish. Sorry, folks, but this is the United States of America, speak ENGLISH!
IT IS T-MOBILE'S COLLECTION DEPT, I KNOW THIS BECAUSE MY ACCOUNT IS BEHIND NOW & THEY WILL CALL LIKE 4-5 DAILY!!!!
Unknown - did not leave msg
You think you can close out your account when your contract with TMobile is done? Think you can pay them off what you owe and be done????????? No, you can NEVER LEAVE T Mobile. You don't have to owe them money, all you hve to do is try to Check Out but you can NEVER LEAVE!!! ahey'll call all your contact numbers and torment everyone to get them to complain to YOU and all because they Want Ya Back!, my, what a friendly well run corporate entity, more like mafia thugs who pay off the Government so they can do whetever they want. I wish they would be slaughtered, literally.
Make It STOP Feb 11th, 2010
OK, I started with them calling for someone to pay a bill, that isn't the case in this instance. They want customers to return so I who never had an account get robocalled because someone on T Mobile who left used to call me and T Mobile is stalking and harassing their contacts to get the customer to come back in order for the harassment to stp. good grief. Go to Hell T Mobile
T Mobile will call anyone and everyone on your contact list or that you call with their robo caller and harass them in order to get YOU to pay your phone bill. I was on a call list of a T Mobile account hlder, they left for a better plan and paid off T Mobile scum and have no obligation. Well apparently, they are like Hotel California, you can check out but you can never leave because even though no one owes them money.. they're not wanting to LOSE a customer so they're robocalling everybody on their call list to harass them and pressure the past account holder to cme back in order for the harassment to stop.. WOW, scum of the lowest order
This is an automatic call saying they are TMobile calling for a past employee, but it won't allow you to speak to anyone. Very annoying since it comes through our switchboard.
YOU KNOW I AM REALLY SICK AND TIRED OF TMOBILE. THEY HARRASS THEIR CUSTOMERS WITH THIS STUPID 819 NUMBER AND THROUGH TXT MESSAGES. NO WONDER I KEEP GOING OVER MY TXT MESSAGES. BUT THEY CLAIM, I'M GOING OVER MY TXT LIMITS, IM SURE THEY'RE CHARGING ME, THEY R SUCH LIARS. EVEN IF YOU ARE A FEW DAYS LATE, THEY START STALKING YOU, SENDING YOU AN ARRAY OF STUPID TXT REMINDERS, BACK TO BACK NON-STOP, MAKES YOU WANT TO FILE HARRASSMENT CHARGES. THIS IS COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY, ESP. WHEN YOU BEEN WITH TMOBILE FOR OVER 8 YEARS, AND HAVE GIVEN THEM THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS, AND YOUR SWEATING ME TMOBILE FOR A BILL THAT'S A FEW DAYS LATE. C'MON THAT'S SO NOT COOL THAT'S WHY I'M OUTTA THIS PIECE, THYE'RE NOT GONNA HARRASS ME ANYMORE BECAUSE I'M OUT, GOING TO BOOST MOBILE. MY CONTRACT IS UP THIS MONTH AMEN. PLEASE PRAY FOR HAITI.
This number keeps calling me too - no answer!
Some further info to my earlier post... As part of the scam, I was also compromised by "CHKCARDVZWRLSS*ECARS O888-29404 CAUS", which is claming to be a Verizon number, but is not. Read about it at:
For what its worth to you all... I found this page after doing a search on" CHECK CRD PURCHASE 12/23 T-MOBILE IVR PAYMENT 800-937-8997
", which showed up on my bank statement. I was not called by this number, but MY BUSINESS BANK ACCOUNT WAS COMPROMISED AND FRAUDULENTLY CHARGED BY THE ABOVE NAME, to well over $2k. On the same day, I had a personal credit card compromised for $1k, which had to be cancelled. So yes... beware of that phone number.... Bad juju and my banks say they are going after it.
T-mobile collections. they do leave voice messages if you don't immediately send the automated call to your message center. Don't call this number back, use 611.
9173880513 Nov 05th, 2009
This is not tmobile in perticular. It is a call center hired by a few differant companies, primaraly tmobile but also Verizon and other cell companies to send out pre-recorded messages.
I got a call on my home phone from this number with a recorded message for an ex-boyfriend who moved to another state over 8 years ago. The recording said, "This is T-Mobile calling with an important message. We need to speak to you about your account." Well, he didn't have T-Mobile when he lived here, and I have no idea how they got this number.
It's T-Mobile's finance department. Its a computer automated call that isn't designed to leave a voice message unless the call is physically answered. The call is for those with overdue payments on their cell phone bill. If you don't have a T-Mobile phone someone you know does and has you as a contact number if they can't be reached or someone you don't might have your number as well for a contact. This isn't a scam. Also all call centers (finance departments included) doesn't take note of all calls they receive or of those that go out hence the constant calling.
I just added them to my block list. I am tired of getting called by them
this is not T-Mobile, call was looking for me, but my t-mobile was from friend's family account, my name was never on his t-mobile account. should be looking for my friend not me.
Got called twice today. When I called back, got like a fax machine pickup.
This is T-Mobile, they have been calling me but i am well aware my bill is overdue and will pay it when i get so money!!
I am a verizon CELL PHONE customer receiving calls from this number. They have called two days in a row. I first access this wonderful web site and get a handle on the number. Now that I know there is a problem, I enter the number in my cell phone contacts and assign a no-ring response for that same number. This way I don't know if they are calling.
This IS T-mobile.
I verified by calling them back.
I fully acknowledge that my cell phone bill was due... yesterday. One day late, and I have received three phone calls from this number today. I don't consider this to be a "reminder" that my payment is due but rather outright harassment.
I do not have a T-Mobile account, have been a Verizon customer for going on 10 years, and this number keeps calling my cell and does not leave a message!
This is Tmobile collections, and the annoying part is that they call again
MY T- MOBILE PHONE IS BEING BLOWN UP FROM CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER 1-877-819-6042.IAM BEING CHARGED EVERYTIME I GET A CALL.I WILL REPORT THIS TO MY LAWYER IF I HAVE TO.I AM NOT PAYING FOR THIS ANY MORE.WE NEED TO PULL TOGETHER AND NOT PAY T-MOBILE FOR THE CALLS AND LET T-MOBILE DEAL WITH IT. OR THEY CAN PUT A BLOCK ON THIS NUMBER FROM ALL T-MOBILE PHONES.
I stopped my auto pays with t-mobile and forgot to pay my bill. A couple of days before I got a text message from them I started getting calls from this number. I just called it and IT IS T-MOBILE!! Call it and they answer. No mystery.
Linda Church May 08th, 2009
they never leave a message and will call 10 ten times a week if not more
I've been getting the calls for the past four days. I don't answer them and they don't leave a voice mail. I won't answer in the future thanks to this website.
It's TMobile, they usually start calling about 5 days late for your payment.
Don't believe that it's TMobile. It is another place that has hacked into their system to get customers' information. Past and current clients, it seems. Do not give them any information. Calling TMobile will confirm if you are overdue (current clients) or, you know, checking your account online. If you don't have an account with them, well that answers that question.
lol @ all the people insisting we pay our bills to get this number to stop calling. Kind of hard if you don't have a TMobile or an overdue account! ;) TMobile insists it is not them. It is indeed a scam. Do not give these people any information. If they send you something in the mail for collections, that is legit. This is not.
Ah, just thought I'd double check. T-Mobile huh? Sounds about right.
Hey - they called me and I don't even have T-Mobile! This is obviously a scam.
The call 5-8 times per day and have never left a voice mail, keeps calling my cell phone
i have been getting calls from this number 877-819-6042 its not t-mobile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i 611 from my phone and ask t-mobile what did they want & they told me nothing my bills is pay. t-mobile (611) told me not to give this unknown #877-819-6042 any info.
People it is T-Mobile calling. It's not a phishing scam. Pay your bill and this number will not call you!
this is tmobile.....automated line!
They call me from this number from early morning all through the day and evening trying to get me to buy a warranty I dont need.
Its obviously a new scam so dont go for it. Dont know how to report this kind of abuse though.
I HATE THESE PUNKS!!! GRRRRRR i just had a baby and got in a car accident i will pay it eventually!!!
TINATHE-ANGRY Dec 29th, 2008
ALLIED COLLECTION may be calling saying they are T-Mobile until you identify yourself and then they start harassing you.
If you are in collection, seek debt consolidation to stop harassment. Until then, save the number to your phone contacts
and give them a silent ring-tone and ignore them; they cannot hurt you.
DEADBEAT 2 Dec 24th, 2008
If it isn't T-Mo, it might be Allied Collection.
I never pay on time Ooops!
When I get that call, it's when I'm at 2 months due.
Pay your bills fool!
Just figure out how to save the caller to your contacts
(Elmer Fudd is a good name)
Then give them a silent ring-tone; That was easy!
(I recorded silence, loaded it on my phone, saved it as ring-tone)
Take control of your life :)
I have gotten calls from this number repeatedly over the last three weeks. I called T-Mobile and it is NOT them. I was told they do not call anyone without an account, and the phone number will ALWAYS show T-Mobile. Any claiming to be them will call from a T-Mobile number.
Liz Valentine Dec 15th, 2008
I just got a call from this number and they didn't even leave a message.
I was reading through some of these post where people just think there would be no other reason for this number to show up tons of times during the day other than you are a deadbeat who should just pony up the money you "must" owe... Well I just want to say pull your head from between your buns and stop being so quick to put people down. I am proud to say I am up to date on my bill to the point I have over a 300.00 credit due to paying all of those bills on time. That does not reflect to employee discount that will be added on too. Due to "their" mistake they turned my service off but turned it right back on then put a hold on my account so it won't happen again since there won't be getting any money for awhile...
Some people may be behind, or on time but there isn't anyone who should step up on their thrown to just get in a quick rude jab.. How are you helping anyway?
Also want everyone to know the reason why there isn't a a msg being left is because it is a computer until it confirms there is a human on the line. Hope this helps, as far as removing your # just answer the call play dumb and ask to be removed due to your wk/ sleep schedule. They can only discuss the bill with the person who's name it's in or with an auth user. Then if you do need to talk to cust service call 611 or the other 800# that others have listed.
Sorry to have said what I did, it bothers me when people refuse to see there will always be two sides to things. What a sorry world it'd be if everyone assumed the worse about others??
T-Mobile, just call the # back (that's if you can get a signal) and you'll get T-mobile's Menu Options.
HE CHANGED HIS NUMBER. . .AGAIN.
T-Mobile Bill Collections. They have called my phone 12 times in the past two days over $29. I told them I pay my bill a month behind because their service is a month behind. The #BAL# never even works from my phone. My Internet is in and out all day. They threaten to shut my phone off over the $29 so I told them if they did I would file a class action lawsuit because of their constant harassment and false claims of great service
Jonathan Moreno Oct 09th, 2008
T mobile customer service for past due cell phone bill
It called on my cellphone I thought it was T-mobile, BUT I REMEMBER T-MOBILE DON'T CALL FROM THAT #.
I just got a call from this number also and picked it up but i had a bad signal so all i heard was a muffled "who is this?" I'm surprised that the phone actually even rang inside my house... T-Mobile
IT IS TOO T-MOBILE I PROMISE!! IF YOU HAVE T-MOBILE YOUR BILL IS OVERDUE.
This is TMobile calling to tell you your phone bill is overdue!
T-mo keeps calling me.
My mom passed away and, during the crisis a lot of people called me, and it was right at the end of my billing, so I went over without even knowing. Customer "Care" was unsympathetic...all they care about is their money. I even wrote a letter to Customer "Relations", and in fact told them when this happened to my friend, not only did they waive the charges, they also gave her EXTRA MINUTES!! I even paid what I could afford of the bill, which was several x more than my regular bill.
T-mobile expects that, during this crisis, I would have called them to sign up for a higher-cost plan. Yeah, right.
Needless to say, I am no longer doing business with t-mobile. Bad customer retention policy
T-Mobile now offers Home Phone Service in some areas for 10.00 a month.. (It was on the outside of my bill envelope.) Could be calling to offer that service.. I too, am getting these calls and I also agree, they need to leave a voice message.
T-Mobile, my account was past due. They didn't leave a message.
these bastards dont fukin stop callin me
It is definately T-Mobile
Tried calling the number back, thats who I got!!
Received two calls today within 2 hrs apart time and no message was left 6/24/08
Called the number back and it was T-Mobile and asked for my mobile number. Since I don't have T-Mobile anymore I just hung up.
For a number of reasons, this number can't possibly be associated with T-Mobile:
* I've NEVER in the past been called when the bill ran late. T-Mobile always used text messages.
* Reports of calls occuring at insane hours (5am, 8am, past 6/10pm...)
* The fact that sensitive information (SSN, etc.) is asked for when the call is answered.
* Many reports of non-TMobile customers (and even non-cellphone) being called by this number.
Not to mention the fact that no message is left. That alone should be the red-flag indicating the call is suspicious.
If you don't initiate the call, don't reveal your identity.
NOT T-MOBILE May 29th, 2008
I've never gotten a call from T Mobile for being late before. Why start now? And I'm not even that far behind on my bill.
I got a call from this number and with message about my account. I called T-mobile Customer Service on 800-937-8997
. They say my account is OK. Does anyone konws who they are?
i got a call from 877 819 6042 on may 5, 2008, it was a recorded message saying they were T mobile and asking for someone with my last name but a different first name and saying if i was that person press 1 otherwise press 2, so i did not press any number and merely hung up. when i did a *69 that was the number that came up. that's not any of the T mobile numbers on the T mobile website. i think it's a phishing scam. I'm on the do not call list and have never had a T mobile account, so the call was illegal no matter who made it or for what purpose. If it's an elaborate identity-phishing gig, I hope the feds and T mobile are hot on the heels of the perps.
This is pissing me off, they called me last night at 11:30 when i was on the phone already and I had to put my friend on hold or whatever, and today twice, once was in class and I had to convince my teacher not to take my phone away, and they just called me again a few minutes ago. And I don't even have T-Mobile, I'm signed with Verizon, you'd think a company would know the phone numbers they give out!!!
This is T-Mobile ,they do not leave a message my bill must be due they have called 3 times today
Don Patterson May 01st, 2008
Yeah, I missed my payment by ONE DAY with T-Mobile, and I received a total of five calls the next day from this number as well as three text messages. Can anyone say harassment? Everyone needs to remember that T-mobile does NOT operate on an American customer service model but rather a German one. For example, if you call to report that your reception "sucks", then the customer service rep will hang up on you citing that the word "sucks" is profanity. How do I know? It's happened to me twice.
Tmobile Sucks Apr 29th, 2008
I get calls from this number approx three times a day for almost 4 days now.. I never pick up 'cos I know I don't know who's calling., It's starting to piss me off!!! Most annoying part is they call at 7am each time.
Sanmi Olowoyo Apr 25th, 2008
