Does changes phone numbers solve the problem?
Blago
 Jan 08th, 2009
I was hit today. They called wanting to know if I needed tram a dol. I've never taken tram a dol! I asked what dr's office they had down they said they have their own and all I have to do is answer a few questions and he would approve it. Their number showed up as unknown. Read through this and most of their old numbers aren't working for me but 866-207-2229 did. They gentleman with an accent informed me they are compliant with the Hippa laws, but won't give out there address, or disclose how they got my information which violates the hippa laws. He hung up on me and it appears I can't call them anymore from that number. They called me once before about 5 months ago and I told them I was on the Federal No Call list. I work for a mail order pharmacy and what they are doing is illegal

Wow, I can't believe nobodies posted in two months. Are we that lucky that many this companies building was blown up or that some sort of legal action may have closed them down. I'm glad to see no post.

But who know's maybe they just changed phone numbers beside the half dozen they already had.

To this day I still haven't received anymore calls since last april.
Good Luck everybody.

866-887-0838
866-850-1431
866-855-6325 and now

Has anyone tried telling them that "Oh, I am moving, here is my new number" and giving a number from rejectionhotline.com? I tried that today; don't know if they will actually overwrite my current number or simply add the new one to their collection. If the former, should work.

This is unbelievable! I used the reverse look up for this number 866-887-0838 and tons of shit came up!! It is Residence Online Pharmacy- supposedly in New York (but there is not website for them) This company is harassing hundreds of people and there is nothing that can be done about it- short of changing my own phone number! These people call me twice a day for the last 2 months! I am going crazy!! AT&T said starting next month they will have a service called Smart Service- in which you can pay $4.99 and put in specific numbers to block. As of now, there is no way to block calls, nor is there a phone available that has this feature under their service. They do not believe that there is a cell phone that blocks numbers available on the market.
I filed a complaint with https://www.donotcall.gov/Complain/ComplainCheck.aspx (do not call registry). I also called my friend who is a lawyer about this, but he is out of town for the holiday.
When you put in a search for this number- all this info comes up!!

This number calls me a minimum 4 times a day. I have filed a complaint with donotcall.gov to no avail. I have filed complaints on 4 occasions. I have spoken to a "supervisor" at this number who assured me the calls would stop. That was 11 months ago. Sometimes the caller ID says all zeros like 000-000-0000 or private call or unknown number and a few times it shows just 4 or 5 numbers with no pattern. Someone has to find a way to put these people out of business.

Good for you Jim,

I'm glad your tactics worked even though I gave you shit before. I have also not received any calls from these bastards in several months.

I just stopped answering the phone calls. I think by answering, you confirm that it is a live number and that is why they continue to call. Don't get me wrong, it took a while (a couple of months) of not answering their calls before they finally stopped calling, but it has been several months since I have received a call from them.

DTT,
I can't believe you actually made a post without telling someone to change their phone number. Still, since you already have changed your number, you need to get a life and just go away.

Jim,

I'm glad you were able to get the calls to stop and I hope they stay stopped for you.

Was this phone number -- (866) 887-0838 -- the only one you were getting?

I got hundreds of calls from dozens of different toll-free phone numbers with different prefixes - 1-800, 1-866, 1-877, 1-888 and countless disposable cell phone numbers non-stop for 4 years.

I eventually started calling them all back, yelling at them, threatening them, and playing loud music on their answering machines for as long as their machines would hold the messages - then start it all over again. They never stopped calling me.

To this day I strongly advocate the death of every single one of these sub-humans. I truly hope there is a hell so they can all rot there forever.

Hey all, it's been awhile since I've been on. Thought I check and see if anyone else has had the luck I've had. I originally posted a comment on around 4/20/07. Since I tried the things I said in there I have yet to receive another call.
My suggestion is since they want to be so aggressive, you be aggressive back. Get a supervisor's name and keep calling him back. When they start saying there is no supervisor there by that name, get another and each time tell them to remove you.

Jo, that suggestion of putting them on hold sounds cool as well.

People the only way we are going to stop these people is to take action ourselves. Report to your State Attorney general, then hassle them right back.

I have not received a call back from these people since April. I hope my luck continues. But if not at least I got a repreive and I will use my tactic again and but them for a week until they stop again.

These kinds of people are always going to be around and if they don't get you someone else will.

Changing you phone number is not necessary as some people have suggestion. What will work is if you start hassleing them worse then they are hassling you.

Dateline has no freaking concept of how persistent these drug-pushing assholes from India are.

Dateline's suggestion is worthless. These pieces of human filth will continue to call for years no matter how long you try to put them on hold, no matter what you tell them, no matter what!

THE ONLY THING THAT WORKS IS TO CHANGE YOUR PHONE NUMBER! PERIOD!
No One Listens
 Aug 07th, 2007
I saw a suggestion on Dateline on how to get rid of them. When they call, just nicely ask them to hold, and make them sit there. Come back to the phone a couple of times and ask them to hold so more..so that they spend time having to sit there waiting on you. Then, about the third time, just tell them they have the wrong number. Time is money for them and if enough people waste their time, then they lose money. They are paying for this call. If enough people do this, then maybe they will start taking their "do not call" list seriously.

Joe,

I agree. But for those who don't want to change their phone number (BTW, it cost me $20.00 to change mine), due to the incredible hassle of informing all your friends and contacts -- and because Kurt asked about technology of blocking calls -- I just thought I'd mention it. After a year of having a new phone number I am still coming across people whom I forgot to give my new number.

I purchased the device and used it for about a year before I got fed up enough to finally change my phone number. Once these criminal scum started using throw-away cell phones (like their terrorist counterparts), then I was forced to keep entering the new cell numbers into the machine every day.

Once I changed my phone number, I have been call-free from these assholes for a year! It is the only thing that works. These assholes called nearly everyday for 4 years. But it's been 1 year of blissful silence since my phone number change!

I don't know why I bother...but here goes.

Why spend $100 on something when you can change your number for free? It's the only thing that will work 100%. Just be kind enough to tell the phone company to retire your number, so the numbnutz don't keep calling someone new.
Joe
 Aug 01st, 2007
Kurt,

Phone companies won't block the 800, 866, 877, 888, etc Toll Free Calls because they make money from them. You can try this device:

http://www.privacycorps.com/products/?id=20

But it will set you back $100, but it worked for me. But you have to keep adding the new numbers to block each week or so, as these scumbags change their phone numbers.

Making a complaint may make you feel better. But it won't do a thing to stop the calls from coming.

These calls are coming from oversea criminal scumbags who cannot be touched by any U.S. law enforcement agency. And the feds can't and won't do a damn thing to stop these calls.

CHANGE YOUR PHONE NUMBER AND RETIRE THE OLD ONE! That is the only thing that works.

I know you don't like to hear that. I know it is not fair. I know it takes lots of work to inform all your friends and family of your new number. I know it sucks. But if you want these calls to stop, THAT IS THE ONLY THING THAT WORKS!

Now if I answer the just hang up, If my wife answers then they try getting her to give them an order. Talk about a waste of time. If you have changed your phone number, why are you still bothering with this website? What do you have to gain by posting here? Like many people here, I am not going to change my phone number just because of some camel jockey in a third world country. So, unless you have something else to say, you should probably spend your time getting your new phone number to all of your friends and family.

Diane,

You are wasting you time.

No State Attorney General can or will do anything. It is out of their jurisdiction. These pieces of human filth that commit these non-stop calls are calling from other countries, usually India. What is the New Jersey Attorney General going to do, have the New Jersey Governor call up the New Jersey National Guard, air-lift them to India, paratroop down and have the NJ National Guard tanks roll into the houses of these criminals? If they did, I sure as hell hope they wouldn't waste time arresting them or brining them to court, but just open fire and blow them all to hell where they belong! But unfortunately that is not going to happen. And neither is anything else.

THE ONLY THING THAT WORKS IS TO CHANGE YOUR PHONE NUMBER!!!

Besides, your phone number has been sold to dozens or possibly hundreds of other foreign criminals who are also committing these calls. Even if a state Attorney General could stop just one of them (which they can't), then there would still be countless more with your phone number still calling you numerous times every day non-stop for years, just as you are now experiencing.

THE ONLY THING THAT WORKS IS TO CHANGE YOUR PHONE NUMBER!!!

And when you change your phone number, make sure you tell the phone company to RETIRE your old phone number so the next unsuspecting victim doesn't start getting the calls.

Once again...

THE ONLY THING THAT WORKS IS TO CHANGE YOUR PHONE NUMBER!!!

Ive posted several times on this site for the last 8 months. I finally received a call today from the Attorney Generals Office in New Jersey. They are looking into the problem but want all the numbers that they are calling from. I have several of them other than the 866-887-0838. If there are any other numbers, please post on this site or send them to my email ginese@aol.com. They questioned me for half an hour, they have been on this site. They also gave me an address which we should bombard with complaints: NJ Office of Consumer Protection, PO Box 45025, Newark, NJ 07101. They are also looking into the fact of them selling these drugs without having a doctor actually seeing the patient. Please send complaints to them. They told me they are going to find them and bring them to court. People with complaints will be able to go to court against them if and when they find them. I know it sounds like a longshot, but Ive been writing to the government for almost 1 lyear and have finally spoken to someone who seems to want to do something about this. Please send me any number and advise if you will send complaints, If we bombard them with complaints, it will really get the ball rolling.

I first posted something on here on 4/20/07. To those of you who said they would start calling me back. Well guess what. I haven't received any more calls from them. Maybe Im just lucky, maybe my strategy worked, maybe I just talked to the right person, who knows. But if I do start getting calls again, I will post it.
What I posted were suggestions for people to try. I hope they work for others as well. I pretty much kept bothering the same manager all day long regardless of who originally answered. I wish you all the best of luck and hope they will stop calling you.
One more thing. I got a letter from the Texas State Attorney generals office in reference to my complaint to them. In the letter is stated they will keep the information on file and if enough complaints come in about this company then they would use the information and take action. I realize that's a vague answer to a complaint in some peoples eyes, however if you all would do the same thing with you state attorney generals office then maybe we can get phone harrassment like this to be taken more seriously and action to be taken against this company.

I'm not saying it's the right thing to do, it's the ONLY thing you can do to get rid of these idiots from calling you. I tried EVERYTHING from being nice, to begging them, to talking to a manager, to reporting them to multiple agencies, to cussing repeatedly at them, to calling them back and placing bogus orders, to calling them back and hanging up and NOTHING worked...NOTHING. They are foreign based and there's nothing that will stop them. It's a hassle to change your number, I agree...I did and the calls stopped. Just let the phone company know to 'retire' the phone number so that the next person getting the number doesn't get hassled.

I'm even on the DNC list and have been reporting them deaily to no avail. Instead, the calls seemed to have increased. I have never ordered online medicine or any other medical crap so don't know how I got on their damn list in the first place. I am fed up with this shit.

Since most calls hang up on you for foul language I am trying it with the f-Bomb. They STILL call 3 times a day despite reporting them to do not call registry.

Curtis,

Please report back when the phone calls start up again...WHICH THEY WILL!

These people are dope-pushing criminal scum. The junk they sell is not the real medicine sold here in the U.S. with all the safeguards we have in place. It is counterfeit at the best, and full of contaminants at the worst!

These type of people do not have a "customer service" department!

CHANGE YOUR PHONE NUMBER! It's the ONLY thing that works.

Tim Julio is right. The ONLY way to ever get theses scumbags to stop is to change your phone number.

NOTHING ELSE WORKS!

I've tried all the tricks on this site (like reporting them to all the government agencies, signing up to be on the DNC List, calling them back over and over, telling them the person OD'd, playing a disconnected tone as soon as you pick up the phone, etc.) and dozens of other tactics for over 4 years of these harassing calls. 4 YEARS PEOPLE! THEY NEVER STOPPED!

And neither will the calls you are getting...until you change your phone number!

And while doing these worthless things may make you feel good, they won't ever stop the calls from coming. NEVER!

Stop wasting your time & energy and change your phone number. And then DON'T EVER give out your phone number online!!!

I don't answer 800 calls, in general...These folks have me on auto dial or something. They call each weekday about the same time.

You pay as your grow - Another benefit for smaller start up businesses is that you only have to pay for the usage or calls to your toll free number. If nobody calls, there's no charge. Your bills will only increase as your business grows.

Put in one online order, and now they won't leave me alone. Have called at least 5 times just today. Just don't answer.

Any word from the Pharmacy Vigilante? Did your tactics work?

Jim, have your calls started again? It's been about 3 weeks...and they should any day...given their track record over the last couple of years.

Seems they buy these lists and distribute them. They'll stop calling them for a little bit, then another person will come along and enter the information back into the system.

I tried everything everyone mentioned...a year and 1/2 ago...and the ONLY thing that finally worked was changing my phone number.

What I did is keep calling for about an hour everytime they called me. Wait awhile until they turned off their automated prompt then started calling again. Finally ask one of them if they like their job listening to you all day and say you will keep doing it. The guy sounded all sad and finally this lady in another department took over the call. She gave me her name and said that they would remove my number. I informered her that if I get any more calls from anyone like this I will just call over and over agin like i have been doing because i have their phone numbers. We will see if it works. You must make it seem like you wont stop calling.

This is also related to phone number 866-887-0838. They call the at that number Residence Health Pharmacy. When you tell them you want to complain about the callse they give you the 866-207-2229 number to Real Med Services. When you call the 2229 all I got was a "Please Hold" and was on hold for about 6 minutes when the phone just hung up. I tried several times. I was finally able to get through on the 0838 number. What information I was able to gather turned out to be false or may have been to an MailBox express type of address. That address was 1315 Columbus, Baca Raton Fl 36015. The zip code given actually belongs to Chapmen Alabama. When I contacted the Boca Raton Chamber of commerce I was able to find out there is no Columbus street in Boca Raton. You may have seen my post on the Whocalled site for the 866-887-0838 already. But now that I have more information I can clarify a few things.

Tim Julio or whoever you are, Duh, I don't go online to buy drugs. I never said I did. When i talked to James Burke he said they were sold a list of phone numbers and names from people who used the internet. If you read carefully you'll find alot of the people on here did not order anytype of drugs online. These people don't care they are calling to make a buck. I told James Burke when i spoke to him I didn't need to order drugs from them or their online site because I work for a RX company. It's been almost 3 weeks and hmm no calls. Let see next week.

Another thing to do is start telling them the person died from a drug overdose.

I remember hearing a funny MP3 of a person pretending to be the police when he answered a spammer's call, so you should pretend to be the police and be at the scene of the drug overdose.

and Jim,

if you work for a drug company, why are you buying drugs from an online pharmacy?

Jim,

Let's talk in two weeks when the calls return. If you've read what others have written on this board, you'll see that the calls do indeed stop, but begin again after a couple week break.

Like I said, the ONLY thing that will work is to change your number. You're not the only cleaver one to think of the things you thought of. There's a BUNCH of us that have been through this for A LONG TIME.

I wonder how the PV is doing? Did your efforts have any effect?

After I kept calling James Burke multiple times I have not received anymore calls from them. So I would say my way worked. I don't have to change my number.

The ONLY thing that will EVER work with these people is to CHANGE YOUR PHONE number. End of story. They don't care about HIPPA...in fact I doubt they even know what that is in India. Just be polite and tell the phone company to "retire" your phone number when you change it...that way they won't continue to call the poor sucker that gets the new phone number.
