called and no message left

They keep calling,ROBO CALLS! They say "This is an important message from "Focus Recieveables Management",the law requires us that we inform you this call is from a debt collector" and this is an attempt to collect a debt "Any information will be used for that purpose",(BUT not once do they ask for my name, nor say who they are calling for) Please return our call today, although they never ask for anyone by name, nor have I received ANY mail from this place! I find their hours rather odd, as most debt collectors SEND YOU MAIL FIRST,with the information from them ,I have never received any mail from this place. I thought they were to ASK FOR THE PERSON FIRST, AND HAD ONLY CERTAIN TIMES THEY CALL BY LAW? They even have called on Sunday, and Every day of the week,at odd and various times, over and over, sometimes several times a day,it is just a recorded message and say that it is an attempt to collect a debt, and any information will be used for that purpose. Then they say "Once again the number is 1-866-664-2513
" on all occasions,.In fact they have run out the message answerer on my phone to not be able to get any other calls, I saved their calls,as they called me early on a Sunday AM,and before 8AM, and call all days and hours. I thought this was not an acceptable practice? I thought they had specific rules on when they can call, and have to inform you of whom they are calling for? They ask you to call the number listed above, the thing is I check my caller id and they call from other numbers,as well. They do state this is an attempt to collect a debt, and any information will be used for that purpose. "Please return our call today,at 1-866-664-2513
"our office hours are Mondays Tuesdays, and Wednesay 8:30AM-11pm EST Thurday from 8:30-7pm and state their office hours, (They are ALL ROBO CALLS) Fridays 8:30AM -6pm once again the although the numbers are different every time, they are on my phone recorded over and over, they say they are a debt collector attempting to collect a debt-but they do NOT say who they are trying to reach,or whom they are calling for, nor have I received any mail from them. They say the law requires we inform you this is an attempt to collect a debt, but never ASK for any certain person? I am going thru a divorce, they could easily be calling for my soon to be ex, I do not know, as he left the state owning on bills left behind. Anyone else receiving these type calls? I did not know or have ever received a ROBO CALL on a debt, and wonder who they are calling for? I'm fed up, with their odd way of calling to so-called collect a debt, although my husband left us in debt, with debts owed, I have tried to pay them, but then he only has sent 5 payments that are never the amount the judge ordered, so the stress is abit much, not knowing who they are calling for? Any help appreciated!
They've robocalled in spurts over the past 9 months or so - calls 2-3 times a day for a few days, then they won't call for almost a month. I have DirecTV but I've never been late on a bill, so I don't know why this is going on. Funniest thing is that when I tried to call them back early on at the 2 numbers they've left, the first one said that I was out of their toll-free service area I'm in Nevada) and the second number was a voicemail terminal for several apartment complexes in the Atlanta area. Couldn't call them even when I wanted to, so what's the point?
Bottom feeding debt collectors (is there any other kind?) trying to reach a family member who has not been at this address for over five years (well past statute of limitations in this state). Really enjoyed telling them to ESAD after informing them any more calls to this number (the last being the third in two days) would bring action for harassment. It's really a toss-up as to whether debt collectors or liberal politicians are the lowest bipedal life form in this nation, but I certainly would rejoice to see either / both become extinct.
Wow! Too bad Focus Receivables weren't more straight-forward about who they are and who they are collecting for (I think it's DirecTV in my case) back when I had my tax refund because I might have paid them (or directly paid DirecTV, which I prefer). Now that I had to do all this research to find out exactly who they are and everything, it took so long that I already spent my tax refund on other (more necessary) things and I am now having worse money problems than I was having when they first started anonymously harassing me. Well, it's their loss for being such underhanded low-lives! =P LOL!
Anonymous: Your inability to pay is not a defense. Forget your wallet a moment and make Focus prove you owe. Respond to its required dunning letter with a written dispute, as the FTC and consumer groups advise. You might want to sift those phone calls for anything violative, such as rudeness which rises to abuse or turning that post-dated check demand into a threat.
Lisa B was apparently the only one paying attention to my advice thirteen months ago: ''You must directly confront the collector on paper''. You also send your demands via USPS Certified with return card. The word she wanted was ''desist'', but really what you send is a ''cease-communication'' notice if you are not the target or you cannot be held liable for the debt claim.
By the way, it sounds like Lisa can start a nice lawsuit for deceptive practice if the ''AG office'' calls are from a debt collector. Doesn't matter if she owes or not. Learn how to exercise your FDCPA rights as an alleged debtor at FTC-dot-gov.

Focus Receiveables. A bottom feeding 3rd party debt collector. Trying to collect a lousy $57 for a DirecTV bill that I can't pay right now due to being unemployed. Wouldn't listen and was rude as Hell. Tried to pressure me into sending them a post dated check. I finally had to hang up on them. I'll pay it when I find a job and can afford to do maore than just keep a roof over my family's head and food on the table!
This is Focus Receiveables- They at least call for DirectTV accounts, and who knows what else. Tried to get my new # off their list and they don't answer, even within reg business hours. F-ing irritating b@$t@rd$

This auto dialer keeps calling my house once a day. They need to stop. Going to see if it calls again, then reporting to ftc. Will first sent a cease and dicest letter. Have another stupid auto dialer calling, claiming to be from the attorney generals office. Filing a complaint against this one, as well. If these are debt collectors, then why hell can't real people call instead of being cowards and hiding behind a damn machine.
Called for person that was a neighbor and he has been dead almost 2 years---answered the phone and the woman did not even answer correctly--bad grammar.
Melissa, you don't need a valid debt or a derogatory trade line on your credit reports to be hassled by collectors. These are likely skip trace calls, a campaign to find some other poor soul.
Complaints to the FTC and attorneys general are lovely and benefit the greater good. However, to solve your particular problem you must directly confront the collector on paper as Federal and state laws allow. Learn how to exercise your rights as an alleged debtor at FTC-dot gov.

Re: "Bill Collector, mostly credit cards and real estate..."high dollar" debts."
I have never had a credit card or own any real estate, and yet I get multiple calls a day highest count was 15 in 1 day! even on Christmas Eve, that information must be incorrect.
I have been receiving atleast 5 calls DAILY for over a month from this number, when they call and I actually answer they hang up and when you call back no one answers they let the phone ring forever (I stayed on for 20 minutes before I disconnected) Ridiculous! Harassment for sure would be nice to leave a message about what you want rather than calling multiple times a day and harassing people.
I continue to get calls from this number everyday and sometimes twice a day. It is always a recording that I cannot tell to stop calling me. Is there a way to make them stop calling me?

I fied a complaint with Georgia State Attrney General on-line.
The office send me a copy of its letter to Focus Receivable indicated
my complaint toward the company unethical practices.
Three weeks later, I recived an email from Georgia's state office said
Focus asking for the account number, so they can reffer to. Obviously,
they didn't even read the State's letter.
I called their office and left voice mail with my refference number (given
by Georgia's state office, also hand writtenon their attachment sent
to State's office, told them ny telephone number, nd they have to remove
it from their dialling system.
Will wait for 1 more week and will ge back to Attorney General if they don't.
Bill Collector, mostly credit cards and real estate..."high dollar" debts.
This number calls twice a day, 5X a week. After checking out the number on line, I have not answered the call.

they keep calling 24/7 my family never picks up and they message keeps saying thats its from this company called focus recievable management and that they are calling for debt collectors and my mom and dad keeps telling themselves that they do not owe any debt
they keep calling its so annoying
The company who calla me are the worst bill collectors. I am hospitalized right now as I type this on my cell phone and I asked the to stop calling me and to please send me a bill. They refused and said that I must pay now! I owe 50 dollars to direct TV for a show that I order like 2 years ago. I closed the account and paid everything on time. When they received the box they said I didn't pay a show that I ordered back in December 2008, its July 2010 and they just told me of this. I told them that its not my problem that they gave a bad system, and I won't pay it. I ask to speak to a superior and they said that I have to mail them to fight for the bill. The 8666642513 number calls me at least 8 times a day for the past month. I am going ahead to sue.

They called me at 8:30am, 8:33am & 8:36am. Woman's voice recording saying their regular business hours are....No clue who this is but they are calling several times a day.
This number belongs to Focus Receivables. I also found their address here http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/forums/focus-receivables-management.html
Focus Receivables Management llc
1130 Northchase Parkway Suite 150
Representatives here do not give out information easily and customers are harassed unnecessarily.
i get the focus rec. calls all the time to my job and now they have my house number! they say there collection a debt from direct tv and i owe 445.00 but can pay half of that and account will be settled but they need my checking account information over the phone today. i told them to send me a bill like all other collection agencies would they say no we can't send you a bill. well guess what your not getting my banking information - do they think im dumb! i'll call direct tv myself and check into this and pay them the money.
My number is unlisted and on the National Do Not Call list. They left a message about "Business Opportunities." Since they already violated the law in calling, I imagine that it is a scam.
I don't know who these people are. I am on the do not call registry. If the call again, I am filling a harassing phone call complaint with the Sheriff's Office. Then legal recourse if it doesn't stop.
I have had this number call my cell hour after hour. I have no idea what they want and why they keep calling. They never call my home and that is why I am a little concerned. My business contacts have my home phone so I think this must be a scam. They just called again and I answered, but it is a recording. They do not say my name, but for me to call back.
We have been recieving these same calls for the past month. But when i checked this company out Threw The Better Business Bureau this company does not exist! This company is a scam don't let them have any of your personal info Gaurd it well!
Two calls today from different numbers. First was 678-228-3415
, name "Focus Receivables" then one from this no, saying "unaailable" Ask for Ronald Pritt, and sayif you want to speak to someone press 1. I did and after 15 seconds and several clicks was disconnected. Ronald Pritt was my husband who passed away over 11 years ago. Alredy notified AG's office here, and will do again on Monday.
Apparently a phony collection agency, possibly doing a phishing expedition. Scammer? I owe nothing to anyone. Called back, they will remove me from list; wished I hadn't called, don't know if they got more info from me. How do I report to FCC?

A collection agency that does NOT verify their information. Their robo-caller leaves messages on my answering machine each day for the past several weeks. Does not identify themselves. Does not mention who they are looking for. It is definitely not myself since I have NO debt. Will be filing complaints to the FTC and the attorney general if this continues.
This is a collection agency calling about a old account my husband had 6 years ago.Another agencey had this bill and i called to see waht the call was about, the rep told me it was direct tv which we termed service years ago,and wasnt diconnected so the new tents injoined free service they expected us to pay(not)when i informed her i was his spouse she told me this account was opened with a blockbuster account instore, she put my name ans ssn on this account,i am also a bill collector and i know you can not just add a spouse name to a collection account because they are married,it's not the same as medical bills in some states,i will never pay this bill first of all it is past staute, second ny information was never on this account this is part of there illegal skip tracing.
Frequent daily and weekend calls that are pre-recorded by two voices, first a female then a male regarding "a male individual" obviously not me nor in my household. I'm an elderly disabled woman living alone. A phone number is left for the party whom they are trying to contact. I've called it to explain I'm not that party nor do I know whom they are. No one responded as again there is another prerecorded message to leave "whatever" for their mail box #4245. Wish they would stop calling me at all hours including weekends and holidays. I researched this number and another number that showed Focus Receivable on my ID caller although their pre-recorded conuous messages did not identify who they were nor allow diret voice contact to streighten out the matter. The second number on my ID caller is: 678-228-3415
. For harassment purposes they seem to alternate the automated calls. Time to stop all this and pressure Congress into instituting stiff penalties to these "Bad Business" and also we should initiate a class action suit. I've learned that this is happening to many people, the FCC and the FTC should immediately intervene.
Caller ID read 866-664-2513 and "unavailable". When I picked up, an automated message using a woman's voice said "This call is for..." with an extremely long pause afterward and no name given. Finally the recording resumed saying that this was "regarding an important business matter" and to call 866-664-2513 during their business hours (which I didn't write down).
No business name was left, but I can only assume based on other people's experiences that this was a collection agency's scattershot attempt to reach someone. I'm not about to call a toll-free number back which would allow them to see my number and record that they actually reached someone. We're current on our debts and responding to them would probably only escalate their behavior.
This is a collection agency working for Alltel. I had a cell phone bill from Alltel that was 72.00 and it got past due, they shut my phone off. The next bill i recieved from Alltel was for 443.00 and I am refusing to pay this huge bill. My math tells me, 72.00 plus 200.00 early termination fee is 270.00, not 443.00. These people either hang up on you or are very threating and rude.
left a very vague recorded message about an urgent matter. I've never had directTV and I have no balances outstanding according to a recent credit report. I am suspicious after seeing these comments.
its collection agency-focus recievables
CALLING FROM FOCUS RECEIVABLES AGAIN. THE OTHER DAY I CALLED BACK AND THEY SAID IT WAS A WRONG NUMBER. NEED TO GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER.
This is a new cell phone number and I've not told anyone my number yet so I shouldn't be getting any calls. I assume they're looking for the last person who had this number. I haven't answered any of their calls yet but if this continues I'll call the cellphone company and have them change my number.
This call is from Direct TV hounding me for money I do not owe them. They claim to be calling about an acquaintance of mine. The same rude people call at all hours from 800-301-0117
It shows "a Georgia call" on Caller ID.I will never involve myself with Direct TV again. A very scuzzy operation.
