Called back this number...this is NOT Capital One. Some guy named Brandon Boyd with Client Services which is a debt collector.

calles and says my mother who is 70 yrs old owes money...she has no bill's
These people have an anonymous caller ID; it is a robo-call and they do not state their business, except that it is important and that they are not “marketing”.
They called my phone, I do not have any business with capital one, they need to STOP harassing me, I'm going to change my number maybe this will help
we have a real account with Cap. One if this continues- we sure a h--- won't!!! I seems they get a number that was on an account once that had difficulty or a name and keep dialing. Cap. One needs to stop this or they will lose business. Enough already!!!
Collectors do not keep a "list" in the telemarketing sense, Chk. They are also not detectives. They will without fail begin skip tracing with whatever contact data is attached to the account being worked over. They will also assume you are liars each time you make a verbal denial. So your only options are hearing them pelt your phone another few months or sending the cease-comm.
We have been receiving "important calls" for Laura or Joseph Lowry. When there is a real person on the line, we have notified them there is no one by those names with this phone, and to take us off their list. Still receiving calls, now automated, for the Lowrys... had this number for a year, the calls began about 3 months ago...the company needs to check Facebook, LinkdIn or my space for the Lowrys contact info...
Doug, the calls will continue until you heed my advice from a month ago. You are making three very common blunders in fending off this collector. One, you have the benefits of complaint filing confused with taking direct action. Two, you are applying a law which has NO BEARING. Three, you have not read your FDCPA rights and therefore do not know how those repeated calls to your mobile phone can be turned into leverage.
BPG, you've heard that line before because you cannot enforce a verbal cease-comm. "Judy" (possibly an alias name) should have given you a mailing address without any grief. It's not exactly a state secret. I think Client Services is based in Missouri, if you're forced to dig up your own data. Fire a written cease-comm when ready. The FTC and many consumer watchdogs explain how.
Received a call from 866-415-1991. Recording asked for Sarah Hernandez (some deadbeat who has given my phone number to several of her creditors). The only options were, "If this is Sarah Hernandez, press 1. If this is NOT Sarah Hernandez, press 2." I've been through this before. If I press "2" the call is terminated, then I continue getting calls from that number.
I pressed "1" to talk to a real person whose name is Judy Richardson with Client Services. I explained that I am on Sarah Hernandez, the deadbeat who has given my phone number to her creditors. Judy was very polite and said she would take my number off their records. Unfortunately I've heard that line many times before. I asked her for her company's name and address. She gave me the name but not the address, reiterating that she was taking my phone number off their calling list. I'll believe it when I see it, Judy.
Sick of their Recordings that are nothing but harrassment. I do not have an account with them and I NEVER will. Recording all of the time saying "We have some opportunites at Capital One, please call 1-800-955-6600
". They call my "donotcall cellphone number" several times a day everyday for months. I fill out a complaint every time they call on donotcall.gov No matter how many different numbers they call from - all are blocked and rejected, but they still leave the same freaking message on my voicemail. STOP THIS SCAM!!! I DON'T OWE THEM A PENNY & DON'T WANT THEIR BUSINESS.

It grants you control of how you are contacted, and collectors can be sued for their crimes. Learn your rights and first response tactics at FTC-dot-gov. These people called me and recorded my voice, or at least I am speculating so. As I said hello, the reply was a mirror sound of my hello. I spoke 3 times and they mirrored all 3 back to me. Strange!
"If you are Clifton Milton, press one; if you are not Clifton Milton, press 2......."
These people keep calling about someone I never heard of. I don't return their calls even though they provide a call back number based on what I have seen here already. Sounds like a scam to obtain your personal banking information to me. I figure they will eventual stop calling one day.
These people called my in-laws looking for me. Mother-in-law asked them not to bother her, but did take down the number for me. I have written them several times telling them to provide me a copy of the alleged debt they say I owe. No copy of anything received yet. They continue to harass my mother-in-law.
Yea. These guys are obnoxious. They call me looking for somebody who likes to give out my phone number on their credit apps.
I told them 3 days in a row not to call anymore.. Each time they tell me sorry, will remove the number from the automated system..
Got a message saying they were looking for e services, called on a local area code, looking for a call bak at 866-415-1991

First they called three times from unknown name and no number showed up. Finally on the last call they said who they were and they were calling on behalf of Capital One. I told them I had filed bankruptcy and that they were not to call me again. Within two minutes the number 636-947-2321 calls showing Client Services and left a message to call them at 866-415-1991
