Not the first call I've gotten from these people. Car warranty scam. Other call was from 843-248-9071

Have received this phone call multiple times and always from different phone #'s. Today it was from 843-248-9071. When I do a reverse look up shows as Gertrude Daneault. The message tells me my warranty on my car is about to expire but they have no info on my car so obviously is a scam. How do I get my name off their list?

I think this is a number used by an on-line communication called ooVoo. You can find this at http://www.ooVoo.com/. This service lets people speak to each other verbally. It also allows for chat and video. A service like this lets a person from a computer connected to the internet call any telephone in the world. If you call someone using ooVoo then I think it shows up as this number on caller ID. Which means you still do not know who is calling you.

Just got a call from this #. Didn't know this website existed until I google'd the #; awesome! I generally screen all calls from #'s I don't recognize. If it's important, they'll leave a message.

I also received a call from this number. I didn't answer but when I called back, it was a disconnected number. Can someone please explain to me how some scam artist can make calls from a disconnected number. I didn't know that was possible.

Looks like "Palm Beach" had a lot of fun with this one ! GOOD ON YOU !
Just for your information, the people in Missouri are one of the employers of the crooks who do the telemarkating phone calls. They sell car warranties on which they never pay out on claims. Most of the calling is done from "boiler rooms" in Bangladesh (therefore the indian accent)and the real scam is to accumulate enough information on an individual to sell it to identity thieves in the USA. So, the best thing to do with these people, is screen them with your caller ID or just lie, lie, lie to them, because that is what they are doing to you.

I called the number, they have no idea what i'm talking about, it was a "real"company and they have stopped cold calling a lot time ago however they go by all different names as well. The customer service girl was very nice and said she will let her supervisors know that their phone number is listed on this page. They have a totally different domain name. Feel free to call, I just pressed one and got accounts receivable and then asked for customer service..there are a lot of options on the menu but once you press one, you can't get out! there is a federal do not call list information option, and an internal do not call list option, don't be fooled. but the interesting thing was, one of their companies names is national auto warranty services, which she told me,..the losers that have been calling us all.

I got to speak to someone! An indian guy who was extremely demanding for the make and model of my car. first he wouldn't answer any of my questions about how he got my information. so finally i said i am extremely interested because i received a phone call yesterday saying my file was going to be closed today and i was delighted i had another chance. so i asked him where he got my information again and he told me the dealer i got my car from sent over the information. So i said well then you know i have a toyota (i have a nissan) and he says yes, i want to confirm that. So then i told him, i bought it second hand from my grandfather (which is true) and that he passed away (which is also true) so unless he spoke to God, I can't imagine why this company would be calling me. then i told him i'm on the do not call list and thank you for ruining a pleasant memory (not true) and to rot in hell..(my aggression got the best of me) Oh what fun.

I knew it was some scam. All contact about our cars comes by mail from the manufacterers. I pressed 1 and there was no answer. Bastards.

This is a scam. I'm not sure who the company is or whether they provide an actual service, but, given the way they try to induce you to purchase something by misleading you into thinking they have some urgent message about your vehicle, I would guess that any "warranty" they give you wouldn't be worth nearly as much as they charge you.

I just answered their call, pressed 1. And asked them what car they were talking about, with an attitude mind you. And they hung up.

This is some "National Auto Warranty Services". If you get this call again... Pick up, press one to speak to someone and act like you interested in the product they have to offer. They will ask what year/make/model your vehicle is and how many miles it has on it. Just make up something and tell them anything over 150,000 miles. They will then tell you that you have too many miles and will not be able to be covered. That is when you ask to be taken off of their call list. Make sure you give them your #, oh and without an attitude or they'll hang up on you.
