Yep! Just another illegitimate robocall about your Windows license expiring and to call them for renewal. It's a scam.
just had this call in Maryland...needs to stop
District of Columbia 1day
Some survey company. Told 'em to eat crow and never, ever, ever, attempt to contact anyone at my number ever again. These jamokes think they have a RIGHT to our most sacred opinions regarding the government and religion. Are our lives not scrutinized enough by the powers at be? Has God not already been removed from the public sphere and replaced with a gilded dildo in every town square in America! I sometimes wonder if this nation, as a collective physical, economic, social, and spiritual can sustain under such conditions of avarice and blasphemy. Citizenship has been replaced with consumerism such that the primary duty of every man, woman, and child within the United States of America is to supply the fruits of their remuneration at decayed malls and marks, attempting to fill emptiness with ever greater containers of emptiness. We are doomed. FUCK THIS NUMBER!
Just got this call a few minutes ago.
Idiots from Bangladesh have upgraded to a computer caller that speaks English..I kind of enjoyed laughing at these morons.
Received the same call yesterday @ 14:15. Obvious scam.
received fraudulent about Microsoft
On April 22, 2017 I got a robo call and it left left message saying Microsoft services will be stopped on my computer. This is a total scam. They will attempt to seize control of your computer (after having you go to an IP address and give them control of your computer) and then they probably commit identity theft and get access to your online accounts and create a backdoor for a future uninvited visit to your computer. Do not call them back at all (you will just verify to them that your number is a good number if you call them and then they will sell your number to the next load of thieves waiting to buy "good" phone numbers.)
HOW do we report this number to the FTC?
Robo call left message saying Microsoft serviced will be stopped. Another computer scam perpetrated by despicable thieves.
District of Columbia 3days
Happened to me today. It appears this thing is going on for over a week. Why cant these Indian scammers be tracked and locked up if they are in the US?
Got a robo-call saying this is an emergency call from Microsoft, and that my Windows key has expired. I called back for fun, and got an Indian dude who was trying to get me to turn over control of my computer.. he got frustrated and hung up when he realized I I don't have a Windows computer...
Just got the same call. Thanks for the head's up.
Got message on my phone about Microsoft office cancelation. Called back and got answered on 2nd ring by some accented dude. Asked if I was at my computer. I hung up. Got to be a scam when a real person answers w/o going through some menu.
got call from 800-998-5202 claiming that all services for microsoft windows will be stopped on my computer, to call them to reinstall- same scam as below -
Got call heavy accented person and said services would end and need to have new key
800-998-5202 is a SCAM. Claim all services for microsoft windows will be stopped on our computer, to call them to reinstall. Total SCAM. Report the number to the FTC.
Called and said that our microsoft license key had expired and we needed to contact them at this number or we would lose access to all microsoft related software. Clearly a scam.
Got multiple messages left, with dire warnings about my Microsoft license expiring. Obviously a scam. Wish someone could shut off their number.....
I called them several times asking for more info and whether this is a scam. All thick Indian accents, but they say that their office is in Brooklyn, NY. Several of the agents hung up on me when I mentioned scam. Definitely not Microsoft!
just received the same message regarding windows
I received the same message as Arizona did about Windows stopping.
It's a scam. They want you to go through a bunch of keyboard manipulations, then to open your browser and go to an IP address. It downloads some pretty bad malware/ransomeware. Bad stuff.
I received 11 calls from this number yesterday. It is a recording ,so you can't leave a message or talk to them. It is just very annoying and fills up my answering machine on my land line.
"All services on your Microsoft Windows will be stopped. To reinstall call our toll free number: 800-998-5202" -- This is the message they are leaving on my phone.
