They also call under 800-927-2291. It does no good to answer and tell them to stop calling. They want you to extend warranties on items you bought. They will bombard you about every 6 months. Eventually, the calls stop.

About twice a year, Sears will bombard you with calls. They want to extend warranties on items you bought. If you answer and tell them you are not interested, it does no good. They just continue calling. You have to wait them out and the calls eventually stop. Until next time....

After weeks of ignoring the 'unknown name' calling us from this 800 number, I finally confronted them. No pleasantries on my part. I just demanded that they stop calling us, period. This Sears line has been calling at all hours of the day and night (including one call at 5 a.m.) The man on the other end of the line didn't understand how they could be calling so early...apparently Sears doesn't know their time zones. We are in Alaska.

Called several times in last week and weekend for several weeks now.
Last night about 9 pm.
Again this morning 3-13-2012, about 9 am.

caller ID always "Toll Free Call" 8009272291 or 800-827-6655 = same call and situation. Several times a day and week - weekend.
When I answered once a girl says calling my wife re a Sears warranty protection. We did buy some sears products last year.
Now we are really angry at Sears because of all these calls. If you search the numbers you will find a lot of complaints and upset people.

Do all you can to call Sears and report as well to FBI, FTC,FCC.

It is now blocked automatically by my computer with phonetray software (get it free) and by my panasonic caller id blocking phone - but I still get the calls and it shows up as a blocked which always automatically hangs it up after the first ring - yet they keep calling- this is intentional harassing and disturbing - a violation of Ca law and Fedaral law for harassment. Next I will go the law enforcement agencies because my computer logs all calls, time, number and caller Id "Toll Free Call". 8009272291 or 800-827-6655 -- So the more they call the more violations, more fines, penalities.

If we get more calls we will have to check with class action lawyers.

Also call SEARS to complain and write letters.

Go to SEARS dot com and complain if necessary.

This number called my number on 11/29/11 at 11/37 AM. Their name was "Not Provided." I did not answer because I do not answer numbers with no name. If it is from Sears like others are saying, they have no business calling me. I have not bought anything from Sears and certainly not a protection plan even if I had bought something. These telemarketers are real pests and the Federal Trade Commission Do Not Call Program is a joke. The FTC needs to overhaul it to make it work because the telemarketing pests are still calling and wasting everyone's time.

I received this call this AM.(9:30AM. Caller ID showed Sears. wanted me to renew my service contract. When I answered, nothing was said, until I asked "who was calling". She then said Sears. I first told her to call me back (Something I will always do in the future). Then said "Yes". She asked me to "hold on". After about 9 min, I hung up. She hasn't called me back. I gave no info. I assumed it was Sears, since she knew that the renewal was up was almost due. Now , since she has this info--------no telling what she wil do next.

I had a caller yesterday (9:30AM)--didn't get to the phone in time, and the caller hung up That # was 1-800-827-6653 Sears. I will report that with this # Thanks GS.West

Therse people are relentless. I've asked many time to be taken off their call list to no avail. I am sick and out of work (been woken up many times), so today I am making it my business to call Sears for the entire day and waste their time. I got calls last night from 800-927-2291 from about 8:00pm to 8:20pm. They called me SIX times in that short period of time. The first time, I let it ring, as I know if it's a toll free number calling me, it's a solicitor and I don't want to be bothered. I did not answer the first time, then 2 minutes later they called again. This time I just answered and immediately hung up to stop the ringing (as they let it ring 15 times or so), they called back after that about 4-5 minutes later, then another couple of times. VERY ANNOYING!

So, this morning first thing, I get a call from 800-827-6655, I did not answer it. I came online and found that BOTH of those toll free numbers are from Sears Protection Agreements. I called the 800-827-6655 and told them to remove me immediately from their calling list. The girl asks for my phone number saying she could put me on No Soliciting. Then after I give her my phone number, she states that she also will need my name and address. I said I did not know for sure that this is even really Sears and I am not giving anything other than the number they keep harassing me at. She said she could not do anything without my name and address.

So, I went to Sears.com and got their customer service number and was told to call the Protections Agreement people directly at 800-927-7836. So, I called them and told them to remove my phone number immediately. I also told them that I had received in the mail a Protections Agreement offer for a power washer I purchased back in 2005! Five years ago, I purchased this and they are calling me and harassing me like there is some kind of an emergency!

So, the man or lady that answered the phone (could not tell by the voice and name) is Jermayn. She said she would remove me and apologized. I told her that from a company like Sears, this is VERY unprofessional to call someone so many times in a 20 minute period then to start it right back up the next morning. I also told her that this is a common practice as there are many complaints online at many different websites about this issue.

Hope this information helps someone else.

I am going to copy a complaint further down the list as it says it all - my exact thoughts and experience. I will not buy from Sears again after being a loyal customer for 40 years. From ENOUGH ALREADY "It’s just Sears showing their appreciation towards you for being a customer. That is if you call being bombarded by phone calls appreciation. These calls come any day of the week including Sunday. Most of the time not more than 20 minutes apart. I had them call twice in 11 minutes. I would answer but could never get anyone to answer back, just silence. Finally I picked up the phone on the first ring and it was someone calling from Sears. I didn’t give them any other chance to speak, I just immediately told them to put me on their DNC list. The girl said it would take up to 30 days for the calls to stop. I called Sears customer service to complain and also e-mailed them. Even if this is a telemarketing firm hired by Sears, Sears is still responsible for this firms actions. By them letting this absurd practice happen Sears is just showing you the consumer how little of a crap they give about you and your time. I regret buying from Sears and getting an extended warranty because this is how I believe they got my number.
If anyone from Sears reads this, congratulations, you just lost another customer. I would love to see all the people that have been harassed by your calling practices stop buying your products. Stop using auto-dialers that call more than one person at a time. Your wasting people’s time by letting them answer the phone and hear nothing but silence. Would you ring someone’s door bell and then run -- no, but that’s just what your doing with these phone calls.
I strongly urge anyone being tormented by this relentless calling to take the time and call or e-mail Sears to complain. Remember that you the consumer have the final say in how your treated. If Sears doesn’t respect your time or privacy then write them and tell them about it and PLEASE stop buying their products." My thoughts exactly!

I received a call this Morning (Sunday) 9:25am. I don't have a Warranty of any kind from Sears. They better stop calling Me.I've had several from this number prior to this. I want it to stop.

I called the 800-927-2291 # after looking it up on the internet. I was getting 3 calls a day from that number.....no message, they just simply hung up. When I tried retrieving my daily voice messages, I always had three calls from that number per day, since the middle of June, 2009 when I purchased some mattresses. I called this a.m., July 3, 2009 and talked to one of their Customer Service repres. I requested that my number be immediatley removed and was told that it would take up to 30 days to remove my name/number......I told them that I had been a very long time customer, spending a lot of $$$$ at Sears and I wanted my name immediately removed....the person was passively polite but would not commit to my request. I think that this is one of the rudest things Sears could do.....hang up without a message and then have their loyal cusstomers have to do a 'witch hunt' to find out who the 1-800-927-2291 call is from. I am now questing my loyalty to Sears as a customber.

After calling me up to five times a day without leaving a message, I decided enough already. As soon as the person asked for me by name, I asked her to put me on her company's "do not call" list. She kindly said she would. It has been about two weeks and I haven't received a call since.

Called me twice already today before noon. And it's Sunday! Why would anyone want to do business with a company that harasses potential customers like this?

I sent message to sears.com AND made complaint on at donotcall.gov

Answered the call. Got their rep....first words out of his mouth were "What credit card account number would you like to reduce the interest rate on?"

I asked, "What account are you calling about.....after all, you called me."

The rep then hung up without a word!!!

I'd watch whatever you tell these people....if it is Sears...they need to change some policies!

This number has been calling my cell phone every morning and afternoon and sometimes evening. They have only been bothering me for the last 3 days. I figured it was just a wrong number and tried to text and now I know that it is Sears -_- glad I know that now. As much as I love my ringtone, this is starting to aggravate me.

This number shows up on my phone several times a week. Rather than leave a message, the answering machine records about four clicking sounds, then 15-20 seconds of a loud buzzing sound (like a busy signal, only constant) EXTREMELY ANNOYING!
Even worse is to check my messages from a remote, and have to sit through that in order to get to the next message!

I returned this 800 number to find out who was calling and leaving no message. I found out it is Sears Protection Agreement. You would think as big a company as SEARS is they would not have to call people as they do. They are only ruining their reputation. I will not shop at SEARS any more!!!!

33 calls in 10 days !! Sheesh...finally broke down and called the S.O.B.'s (Sears Protection & Warranty) and told 'em NEVER to call here again...also reminded them of the National No-Call Registry Org. and that I put them on their 'complaint' list. Eh, at least the operator (telemarketer) said they were sorry...whoopteedoo !!

Answered. Call was from a warranty company telling us the warranty on our craftsman lawn tractor was expiring. When I told them I was not going to renew it, they asked why. I told them because of our financial situation. Became rude. I hung up.

This caller shows on my Caller ID as "Tollfree Number" and "800-927-2291". But from my research I discovered that this is "Sears" calling. They will not accept "No" and "Do not call" as a answer. Because they keep on calling non-stop anyway. When I answer there is never anyone at the other end or never leave a message on my answering machine. Plus they call at all hours of the night or day. This month alone they have called: 04 Apr, 2009 at 1228; 07 Apr, 2009 at 1854; 07 Apr, 2009 at 1927; 08 Apr, 2009 at 1818; 08 Apr, 2009 at 1829; 10 Apr, 2009 at 1752; 10 Apr, 2009 at 1802; 11 Apr, 2009 at 1506; 13 Apr, 2009 at 1347; 14 Apr, 2009 at 1347; 14 Apr, 2009 at 1358; 15 Apr, 2009 at 1347; 15 Apr, 2009 at 1358; 16 Apr, 2009 at 1349; 16 Apr, 2009 at 1359.
