I received a call from this number except they left me a text voicemail but when I listened to it, nobody was speaking. I am in college but they have always emailed my college email first before making calls. Scammers are getting tricky these days only we aren't as dumb as they think lol #FindABetterJobFools

May 2018--"Fed Loan" phoned me at my phone #, (that I "got" from AT&T a couple years ago). Apparently, the only way I can "converse with them", when I phone them back at this phone #, is to provide my Account # or my Social-Security-#.
Since I have no account with them, I would have to provide them with a significant amount of hacker-desired information
(i.e., my Social Security #) in order to even talk about the fact that they have a bogus phone # for someone who ACTUALLY HAS
an account with them. When I requested a supervisor, I was put on hold for 10-15 minutes. (I used my "Speakerphone" feature.)
When a supervisor(?) DID finally pick up, she did not give me time to get to the phone, but simply hung up.
I rate FedLoan.org, as ONE-STAR(NO-STARS is never an option, right?)__based-on their refusal to allow anyone to report a bogus phone #. (True, an actual account person might try to "throw them off" by falsely reporting that a phone number is bogus, but does that justify WASTING THE TIME of non-account holders? FedLoan.org CERTAINLY thinks so.) Bill S.
Going to FedLoan.org, they also PROVIDE NO WAY (w/o providing hacker-desired-information) to speak to anybody, about their having a bogus phone #. If I had nothing to do with my time, I might try to contact someone in government, to complain about this government representative (or perhaps they're really just a "collection agency", and the government does not feel any responsibility for "Fed Loan's" overbearing ways.

I got a bogus call from this number that left a very loud "Yahoooo" voice like that of commercials. I know the fed loan site has it as a number but if you want to be taken seriously do not leave these types of voicemails.

Received a call from 800-699-2908 and it was a very clear, English speaker who sounded pretty legitamate. I went to school about 3 years ago and go through SallieMae for all my loans. I never had a FAFSA approved, yet he was telling me that I was given $5,500 that I owe back to the Dept. of Education. I think after 3 years, a $5,500 loan would have gone to collections had it been legitimate. Definitely a scam, especially around Christmas time.

I keep getting calls that show up on the caller ID as 18006992908 with no spaces and the one listed. They never leave a message and have called 5 times just today.
