This call was from A & E factory service
I have no Sears appliances or repair appointments. My guess is someone is spoofing the number to sell something. I agree with some of the others here; why don't they identify themselves instead of showing up as "Unavailable"?
I let the call go to the TeleBouncer thinking it was another criminal scam artist. Thank you everone for taking the time to post it was from Sears. I have a dishwasher repair tomorrow.
Seems from messages left here it was Sears. We have a scheduled maintenance for our microwave. They never left a message. I hope they show up.
This is Sears Home Services. The call to me was to remind me of an upcoming service appointment. Completely legit, in my case.
Sears. Legit call. for repair of my dishwasher.
Was a call from Sears. Gave number to my husband and he called, received an automated answer about the service guy that is to come tomorrow between 8 and noon. He wanted to talk to someone in customer service and was left on the line a long time, listening to advertisements and music for at least 10 minutes, so he hung up. So, we're hoping that the guy shows up as scheduled tomorrow. Wish they would have had SEARS on the caller ID, then I would have picked up.
If you go to the Sears web site (sears.com) you will see a partial list of companies owned by Sears listed at the top of their home page including K-Mart, Lands End, etc. When you click on "See All" you will see even more. So you can reasonably assume that if you do business in any way, i.e. in-store, on-line, etc., with any of these companies you will be added to their call list IF you provided them with your phone when you made a purchase. I took the advise of another poster and called the Sears' customer service number (1-800-469-4663
) and asked to have our number removed from their call list. The rep was very nice and said we would not get any more calls from 800-827-6655 starting immediately. So far, we have not received any more calls.

I have an appointment for Sears repair tomorrow, and Sears had said they would call the day prior to the repair, but I don't answer unknown calls either. They did not leave a message.
Automated system calls to remind you of a service appointment that you made with Sears for the next day. You will get repeated calls throughout the day until you answer it.
This was a legitimate call that I almost didn't take. Sears was calling to tell me that my freezer part was being shipped and wanted to make an appointment to have it installed. A lady named Brigit called and did NOT try to sell me anything. Was most polite and professional.
Multiple calls from 800-469-4663 trying to sell me insurance on nearly everything I own. Demanded that they stop calling everyday. Why don't they realize people won't buy from people invading our privacy. I'm on the absolute verge of cancelling my land-line. They knew everything about me and my belongings. That's greed for you!
Got a call Sunday evening, I do have an appointment with sears appliance but like someone else already said, they should have their name come out on the caller i.d. I also don't answer unknown calls.By the way, they didn't leave any message.
Left a really odd-sounding message that our "item was ready for pickup," yet we haven't been to Sears in years... tried calling back and had the most bizarre "automated" phone call experience. Just hung up and left it at that.
I do have an appt with Sears repair tomorrow. I agree, they should have their name on cid and I would have answered.
Can they post the name of the company, Maybe we will pick up the call. They call on Holy Days, is anything sacred to these people. Ok they were calling to let us know it was a service call. Send an email. I don't answer the phone for automated calls. The reason the country is going down is that there is too much automation. I don't want to listen nor talk to a computer. DO NOT CALL ON A SUNDAY!!!! Sure I want the service call. BUT NOT ON A SUNDAY!!!! NOT FROM AN UNANNOUNCED NUMBER!!!!!! Do they work out of INDIA. Maybe we should stop shopping there, since they do not hire from within the country (USA mainland).
Sears customer. Mar 22nd, 2009
Sears? Strange, I haven't done any business with Sears. I'm sure they autodial, so I'm guessing the number wasn't a misdial. No voicemail message left.
10/20/08 No message left. Confirmed with Sears it was an automated appointment reminder - not verification - so no response required.

2-26-08 Received call from this number. ID said "Unknown Name". I didn't answer and no meassage was left. I had a Sears appliance installed last week but don't know why they would be calling me today. Why wouldn't they identify themselves as Sears on Caller ID if they really want to talk to the customer? Seems strange to me. I never answer "Unknown Name" calls.
Sears home repair automated appointment confirmation.
It's Sears. Had to have a snow thrower repaired and the call from that number is to confirm the upcoming scheduled appointment.
We didn't answer it & they didn't leave a message. But when I looked up the number on this website we called Sears back to confirm our appt for the next day.
I can assume with the comments here that it must have been Sears....spooky....
Sears Home Services calling to verify appointment
must be sears automated customer service appointment verification
