The first call was listed as an unknown number. I let it go to voice mail. When I checked the voice mail, the caller was a foreign speaking male. He said he was from Wells Fargo and wanted me to call 800-266-2693). When I called the number and after going through the more than usual automated voice response items, I finally got a woman who spoke English. She wanted my account number. I told her I did not have one--thinking it is a bank account. So she said that she could look it up if I gave her my social security number. I told her no. Then she wanted my phone number. I told her to send me a letter stating what the issue was. She said she could not do that. I told her that anyone who calls me with an unknown number and is foreign is the biggest red flag I can think of. I said that it tells me that this is nothing more than a scam. Then I hung up.

Receive several calls daily, no message left. Keeps waking me and my baby up. Really annoying. Anyone know how to make it stop?

Wells Fargo calls 10 times everyday from this number. They keep waking up my newborn baby with all these harassing phone calls.

These people called me about 4 times in 2 days including on a Saturday and late Friday night. I called the number back and it said "Wells Fargo Financial Bank." Now, we bought an item which opened a WF account and we have one more item that we purchased with them. One item is brand new and we have not received a bill for it yet. The other one we are current as we do not have over-due bills. I blocked the number after reading many of the posts on several websites. I called them back just out of curiosity and they immediately asked for my SSN. I said, "NOPE." Can you pull it by name or phone number and they said no. THAT'S a BIG RED FLAG in my book. I have talked to many loan companies and they can ALWAYS pull by your name or phone number. They do NOT have to have your SSN. I don't worry too much b/c we have Lifelock. But in any event, I wouldn't give anyone my SSN.

Although the people claim to be from Wells Fargo they may not be and are likely not. I called Wells Fargo On-line (1 800-956-4442 then 0) and used the key word FRAUD to get an agent. I reported the 266-6932 as a possible fraud number. The agent (very nice by the way) said that Wells Fargo Financial is a separate "sister" company and is associated with home improvements, but wasn't sure that my caller was really from them... I pointed out that these kinds of activities (legitimate, fraudulent, or malicious) were making the company look bad. I don't know if they will act but I urge others to call Wells Fargo and keep up the pressure. Companies will act against bad actors when they understand it is effecting their bottom line... or so I hope.

I answered the phone but was greeted by a recorded message claiming to be Wells Fargo. The message said to call them back for important information about my account. I have a loan through my air conditioner company backed by Wells Fargo, but have never missed or been late with a payment. I plan to ignore this.

We get calls from this number on the weekends starting at 8 AM and then about every hour after that until 1 PM. Don't know who it is. I answered the phone a couple of times and there was no reply—human or otherwise. The caller ID comes up "Toll Free Calle". The "e" on the end of the word "Call" is not a typo.

An update to my previous comment: I just called Wells Fargo who after keeping me on hold for about 10 minutes came back and stated this is not a Wells Fargo number, it is not in their system and I should ignore calls from this number. So, this is definitely not a legitimately caller but apparently a scammer. The will check into it (or so they say). Best advice is do not answer the phone if the call is from this number.

Caller stated they were Well Fargo, but it was a recorded message wanting me to call back. I have doubts as they did not know ho they were calling or any account number.

They called 2x today showing Wells Fargo Bank...when I didn't answer they called 5 minutes later showing , "Toll Free". After checking this website I see it is still Wells Fargo or someone they are allowing to run this scam!

I give up. I instructed my cellphone to just ignore theses calls and not even ring.

I am getting calls from this #too. How did you stop it? When I called them back it instructs me to enter my acct#. It has to be a scam. Sure is not Wells Fargo!

THEY ARE CALLING 7 DAYS PER WEEK, 4 TO 5 TIMES PER DAY....IT'S WELLS FARGO AND I DO HAVE A 48 MOS SAME AS CASH ACCOUNT WITH WELLS FARGO THRU A PURCHASE AT THE TEMPURPEDIC MATTRESS COMPANY. ALTHOUGH I HAVE PAID TO THEM A MONTHLY PAYMENT EQUAL TO 1/48TH OF THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE MATTRESS (SO AT THE END OF THE 48 MONTHS THE BALANCE WILL BE ZERO AND INTEREST FREE), THEY HAVE DETERMINED THAT THEY WILL BE THE ONES TO DECIDE WHAT MINIMUM PAYMENT I MUST MAKE EVERY MONTH...WHICH HAPPENS TO BE $40 MORE PER MONTH THAN THE PAYMENT CALCULATED TO SATISFY THE LOAN WITHIN THE 48-MONTH TIME PERIOD. I have NEVER done business with Wells Fargo and I never will. They call in spurts, 4 and 5 times daily. I am on the do not call list and have filed complaints repeatedly to no avail!

I had a call from 800-266-6932 on Sat 11-7 from Wells Fargo. I informed the caller that this is a cell number and the calls cost me money. I gave her my home number. She was very pushy and argumentative. I explained I was having money problems and that her call was costing me MORE money. I finally had to hang up on her.

Continuously (5x/day) receive calls from this number on a government line. After answering either the caller hangs up or we hold to be told connecting your call and then the line is lost. Don't have an account so unsure why they are calling.

I do have an account with them and yes, it is behind due to economic problems (no overtime anymore and on top of that, hourly CUTS for everyone... there have even been some layoffs). I have told them REPEATEDLY that I will talk to them anytime AFTER 4:00 PM CST. The CSR said that there was no way to set that up, because the system is totally automatic. I WILL NOT ANSWER PERSONAL CALLS AT WORK. I work in a cubicle environment, and those calls are EMBARRASING! I finally got them to take the work phone off the account (by threatning them with the FCC), but my cell phone rings all day 5-10 times a day. I finally just set it on vibrate and check the caller ID number when anyone call. If it is them, I push the "reject call" button. BTW, they NEVER call to talk after 4 like I asked them to. When I get this bill paid off, I will NEVER have an account with them again.

HAHAHA... it is 8:55am CST right now, and as I was writing this THEY CALLED AGAIN! 2nd call already today. A$$holes!

I received more than 5 calls everyday from Wells Fargo phone 1-800-266-6932. We don't have any mising payment and they insisted that I lost two payments. It is crazy, I called Wells Fargo customer service 1-800-635-5585 and they promised that calls will stop in three days.

I have NEVER done business with this company and know of no one who does. In spite of that, four days ago they started calling me 5 times a day...every day including weekends. I do no answer 1-800 and I am on the federal do not call list. I once accidently answered thinking it was a friend whose call had just been dropped. I got an automated operator who told me to wait and quickly hung up. From what I've read on this site it doesn't matter if they have the wrong number, they will keep harrassing you. Everyday I file another complaint with the FCC giving the times and days of these calls. I am ready to consult an attorney as I need to leave my phone ringer on when I am teaching to monitor the health of my 85 years old mother. That means that the calls end up disrupting my teaching. They are messing with the wrong person.

I get calls from this 800 number at least every 30 - 40 minutes all day. I don't answer. I did answer one time, and the call was for my son, who does not live here. I ask who was calling, was told to just have my son call back.

I get calls from these number daily. When I picked up(3 times)there is a taped msg that says it isn't a Sales call and all counselors are busy and then puts you ON HOLD. Every time I caved in the same msg came on so I won't answer it again. With all of the scams and telemarketers in the world I'm not risking anything. Furthermore, the idea of someone interrupting my day and putting me ON HOLD is never going to fly if I don't know who it is.

The caller id showed 1-800-266-6932. I am tired of these 800 calls! Every residential phone number should be able to be public or private. Every business should be public so we can keep track of these damn auto-dialers and get them behind bars! I get every kind of number and I don't have enough to owe anything or anyone.
