Received call from 786-358-6691 Not In Use according to caller ID. Foreign voice (sounded Hispanic) said calling from Medicare and were sending me new card. Had my name, address and telephone number. Wanted the name of my bank for verification purposes. Asked why. Kept saying for verification purposes only. After me asking why they need that for verification 4 times they finally hung up. I then contacted Medicare (1-800-633-4227). Gave them all info. The call WAS NOT from Medicare. They then gave me number (1-877-382-4357) to report this to Federal Trade Communication Center. Talked to them, gave them all info and they gave me a reference number then gave me number for Attorney General so I could file complaint with them as well. Will have to do that tomorrow since they are only there from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. I suggest anyone getting these calls do the same thing. Maybe if enough people file complaints these people will be found and prosecuted.
