Ok so ... car warranty i dont ever no what that is. they is so dumb they are callin kids now really. And in the middle of class? wtf is wrong with this rick guy??did he run out of crack money so he has sto steel from random people? and whats up with the spanish recordings????
I now have rec'd a call from this # and the 516 # AT WORK which is not a publicly publlshed number.
This is the same ripoff extended car warranty spoof sales call as 516-889-1486
. Looks like some company is wreaking havoc on someone's personal phone line again! Funny - this # is registered to Michael T Stigler of Waukesha, Wi. The person who spoke after I pressed 1 was named "Kesha". How coincidental is that?
To read more comments on this same type of scam, put in 516-889-1486
as the caller id # and see what many others had to say...
Thanks to those reporting, I knew not to answer.
My current cell phone provider does not cover a region of the country I must travel to on occasion. I had to purchase a prepaid phone from Verizon, the only cell phone company operating in my destination area. I receive, although I have never answered, calls from 866-851-1591, 701-550-0821
. If I had a choice, I would use a different company for prepaid phone service, but I don't.
I have rec over 50 calls from both my home and cell.
I have pushed 2 as instructed and talked w a person live
I do not want to rec the these calls . I am now keeping a log
of the calls which I consider harassment .
This is the first request in writing. 3-27-09
I will pursue legal action if these calls continue

they have been calling both home and cell phone. Its a scam. They say they are selling extended warranty's on your cars. Google car warranty scam, and read all about them.

Got the call from Rick. No message.
The best thing you can do is go to www.donotcall.gov and register your numbers as well as family members. Then go to http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/microsites/phonefraud/report.shtml to report the number. That's about all you can do. These people use numbers that have been recently disconnected and use a spoof calling system (for an example www.spoofcard.com) to call people. I do not know how they get these numbers. I had to get my cell numbers changed and seriously within 15 minutes they called both phones. One is an AT&T the other is Sprint. Just ignore the calls and block them.
This call comes on my pre-paid trac phone.
If other posters here have a pre-paid cell then this could be a scam by trac phone who is probably knowingly selling the number to make more $$$$$$.
Jokes on them as I use my trac phone as a beeper for my google voice number and call back free on my skype or voip.
If this is happening on your pre-paid cell I urge you to make a BBB, FCC and FTC complaint. You can do so online free, just google it.
got call about 12:00 PM, didn't answer, no message.
got the same thing yesterday 3/25/09. 3 calls from this number, attempted to call back today, the number has been disconnected. So, watch out for other numbers.
Ohio - Verizon Mar 26th, 2009

It's a spoofed number. It's not that Rick guy.

3/25/09 - Started answering questions but stopped quickly when something smelled fishy and quickly hanged up. Got another call in a few minutes and told the guy to not call me again. I wish there was a way to stop this nonsense.
Talked to a few people when I answered- telemarketing warranty extension on our car. They didn't know what type of car it was, however. They were pretty slick- someone could fall for them.
Just got a call from this number now and I'm glad I googled it before answering
Just a missed call at my office number in Oakland CA with no message left. I always Google unkown numbers nowadays and more often than not, they're sales robo calls.
Called at 9:31AM Hawaii time... 3:31PM NY time... no message, missed call. But had called earlier last week. Unsure of how they got cell number. Thanks for info, hope they can stop further calls.
I got one too on my cell as well. These idiots need to be stopped!!!
i am verizon also.
amd we have got this call over 5 days.
none of our numbers are listed?
so we are all confused
I can't believe all of this is just from today!!! It was on my cell too (Verizon like someone else). I also put my resume up recently but I thought I made it private so they wouldn't be able to get my number. Have to go check.
Same its called my dad mom two of my 3 sisters and me
pushed 1 said thx for calling and hung up
Called in the afternoon, didn't leave a message, I looked it up because I thought it might be for work, and found his name on this website.

Got call from number, no voice mail was left
Didn't pick up the phone. Just googled the number as listed in caller ID and saw that it was already reported on this board.

Received this missed call this afternoon. Only way I can think he got my number is my resume online. It has been posted recently. Guy is a creep.
I received an call with an automated voice telling me my warranty was about to expire but the
call was disconnected. tried to call back but it is always busy. Googled the number and comes up Rick Kremer.
I read about these scams a few days ago in the news.
Just received a call from this number on my cell phone -- second time today -- don't answer cell at work. Looked him up, if it's the "real" Rick Kremer, his email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
I sent him an email from my office email -- I am an attorney -- telling him all calls must go to my work phone or email if he has a need to call me.
Robocall re Warranty on vehicle
called my daughers cell number, changed her ringtone in the process, when i tried to call back it was busy signal every time. i will call bb and make a complaint. the message was about a warrenty about to expire on a "vehicle" vague...
Rick must be busy today. just called me, I didn't answer. they did not leave a message.
this number called me too, but i didn't pick up.
called on unlisted/work only cell phone.
recording in spanish. called here in texas from NYC!
I wonder if the guy who is doing this is reading all of our messages right now. I also wonder if it's actually Rick Kremer from NY who is making these calls or if it's just a made up person.
Just received my first call from him/her this morning but I never picked up. Hope he doesn't continue calling me.
I have an unlisted federal government number. He must dial at random.
also called me... left me a voicemail. dnt recognize the number... who is this? how did he get my number? i'm very careful about who gets my number. i dnt like this at all!
Rutgers girl Mar 25th, 2009
Caller ID "Rick Kremer 516-889-1486" dialed and did not leave a message - nice to see y'all on their case already.
Anyone here do business with Midas lately?
Tells me the warranty has expired on my car, if I select 1 they do business with me, if I select 2 they will not call again. This is about the 20th call I have received from them.
I just sent Verizon Wireless an e-mail complaining about this caller, and included a link to this web site. We'll see what happens...
I answered the first time they called about a week ago and said that the warranty on my vehicle was about to expire, they wouldn't tell me the make or model listed and wanted me to give them that information, I told them to remove my number and not to call again, just got another call, i didn't answer this time.
got 2 phone calls really early in the morning. no messages.
Didn't pick up the phone. Just googled the number as listed in caller ID while it rang and saw that it was already reported on this board. Call was at 10:35 PDT.
guys name was danny wanted to ask me questions avoided giving managers phone number
Twice in 7 minutes. I pressed "1" to speak to a human. When she answered, I asked "What are you wearing?"
Make that three times in an hour and two minutes. It's tempting me to not actually set voicemail up at all.
They called twice in an hour. I haven't even gotten *voicemail* set up and I already have two calls from these people.
They claim to be a car warrenty company from the west coast(they said its 6am for them when it was 8am mountain), but 516 is a NY area code. I suspect a simple credit card scam run out of some crack head whores house. Never had a real telemarketer call from any number not begining with 8, even then I just give em shit for the fun of it. If you call the number back you either get a busy signal or a message about it being disconnected(fake answering machine message). So ive just been watching tv finishing my vodka(long night at work) and screwing up their time.
Here's who that # is listed to:
Rick Kremer (516) 889-1486 415 E Park Ave, Long Beach, NY 11561
Let's see what we can do to make his life miserable. I don't know how they get our cell phone #s, but I'm sure it's illegal as is calling us with telemarketing calls.
EVERYONE call the BB and maybe we can get this comp shut down!!! I asked to be removed and then they called me again in 5 minutes!!!! claim they are located in Southern California. When asked for comp name & phone# they hung up!

THIS TOO IS MY CELL THEY ARE CALLING ME ON.
OK they just called again so I answered; it's an automated message about vehicle warranty crap ... I pressed 2 to be removed from follow up list; we'll see!
