Call from Menlo Park INC 334-297-0963 asking for us by farm name, when I told them we had gelded our stallion, they said fine and hung up, the call "felt" weird so I phoned back and a man answered, said they dialed the wrong number--- appologized, and I asked then how did they have our farm name? Am worried this was a phishing identity theft scam and that I confirmed our phone number. They DID NOT say they sell light bulbs, or anything about that, they said they are an industrial heating service. Thinking of calling from another number and seeing what they have to say.
Called early this morning and asked for the 'owner' or 'manager' of the place. I usually say, "Speaking, would you like to buy a miniature horse?" That shuts them up every time. This morning I wasn't in a harrassment mood and just hung up instead.
Shirely Senn is what she says her name is and she will call you constantly. she is very rude as she tries to sell you light bulbs.. I am reporting her to the better business bureau.
They called me at 6:27 AM!!! I work 16 hour shifts & the lady was rude - not even apologizing that she woke me up. I've gotten MANY calls from this place & every time ask to have my number removed from their list. Hah. I want to complain somewhere - I have to leave my phone on (well, I choose to) due to sick mother & son who drives 30 miles to school early....
Called several times and hung up on answering machine.
'Shirley Senn' from United Helping Hands wants to sell our business florescent light bulbs, garbage bags and cleaning supplies. has no website, fax information, brochures or printed price lists. wants to ship us product and then invoice in 30 days for the merchandise. Stated based out of Atlanta, GA. Did not specifically state they were non-profit, but insinuated such. She has called four times in one day, and finally receptionist advised her to hold on and got me. She wanted my physical address, and then wanted to confirm business phone #, she had neither to give me... she stated she 'lost her place' in the list. Needless to say, we won't need any lightbulbs. Legit or not, it's very sad that they use the disabled as a crutch to spam you.
oh, yes, they do ask if it is a business, the call listes can be as old as 4 years old and we know phone numbers get recycled. it is a legitimate business.
they sell industrial light bulbs and cleaning supplies. they are NOT a charity.

I may have missed it, but I find no information indicating they are a non-profit org. Also, United Helping Hands is not listed as any type of business or org.
Next time they call, I'll answer and talk to them .... try to find out more and whether they specifically will represent themselves as non-profit.
They call once every week or so, never leave a message. Caller ID always shows 'Menlo Park, Inc'.
Wanted to sell industrial light bulbs.
has called before does not leave message.
Left no message, but from all the web postings, appears to be a telemarketer. So, I blocked them.
Calls as late as 9:30 pm . I have told many times to take me off their calling list. Trying to sell commercial cleaning products for daycare business. VERY rude!! When asked the operators name and to talk to a supervisor they hung up on me. Sounds like a shady business that is run out of someone's basement.
Calls time and time again asking for owner. Spam Caller
They called and immediatly said they had the wrong number. Probably just checking the number to see if its still the one they want. But aggravating all the same. I have done the no call list thing, but I guess they just don't care. Document the calls, tell them they're being recorded, they'll stop. I hope
Have been calling a few times a week. Usually they say "Hello, is this a restaurant?"
(it is not) When I got suspicious, they actually said "I think we have a bad connection" and hung up.
The last time (just a minute ago) I asked for the name of the company and address. She told me to hold on and she would get someone who knew the answer. No one did.
This was my first ever unsolicited sales call to my cell phone. How did they get my number? How did they know I was a farmer? If I ever find out who sold them my cell phone number, they won't hear the end of it.
These folks seem real shady. The person they wanted wasnt here I asked who was calling and got hung-up on. I called them back to find out who they were and what business they had and again got hung-up on.
They've been calling almost weekly asking for the owner. This time, when we tried to "get the owner" they hung up on us. When we called and asked for a supervisor, we got the run around and no name for the Supervisor.
no idea, they didnt leave a message
