This phone call which arrived two hours after one from 330-438-4041
requesting a charity donation for Cops for Kids, had a woman on the other line. She id'd herself only as "The Bookkeeper" and asked to speak to my husband (the one who pledged $7.50 to Cops for Kids, a supposedly charitable organization who buys teddy bears for children. She wanted to only speak to Dan, but when I continued to reiterate that he was not there, she acted confused, saying "The representative just spoke to him moments ago" when in actuality it was 2 hours previously. I asked the woman for the name of the company, she replied "Cops of Kids" (it is supposed to be "Cops for Kids". I asked for the address, she gave me a bogus post office box (not registered anywhere in the state of OH), and gave me a toll free number that ended in voicemail (no company name, again). However, when I asked for the city, she gave me the city in which I reside, totally mispronouncing it. The call was from Toledo, the phone number I have no idea 866-562-9656
) and the zip code was from Columbus. When this bill comes to pay I am going to copy and send it on to the BBB and possibly the FTC.
