Lady with an accent called from this national medical strategy to confirm a package I never ordered and she wanted me to confirm my bank info so that she could give me a cancellation number. When she decided that it would be policy for me to give her my info instead of her reading it to me to confirm after she called me, I screamed about suing then she hung up. I called my bank, they never had any charges, but they are keeping their eyes open. I was told I was smart for not giving out my info.

Everyone needs to report these people to the agencies below to stop this fraud how many innocent people give out their bank information. They keep changing their phone number. I keep reporting them. They need to be stopped. The (FTC) Federal Trade Commission has already responded with a letter saying they reviewed my information and added it to their National Fraud Database and gave me a reference number and a letter stating I will be contacted as the investigation continues.

National Medical Strategy, call my wife telling her that she or I requested a insurance policy and sucked her into giving our bank account number. My wife said that they knew very many details about us and assumed I requested the policy. However, she did get a phone number 866-969-2574 and a cancellation number. I called and waited on hold for over an hour, and demanded to speak to a manger from my first words. Waited another 30min for the manger. I first asked for the company name, address, phone number and website.

Company Name: National Medical Strategy
Address: 1320 Route 9
Champlain, New York, 12919
Phone: Customer service only. THEY COULD NOT GIVE ME A CORP NUMBER!!!
Website: National Medical Strategy claimed they did NOT have a website. However the company in my package/policy was https://www.pharmabay.net. I called PharmaBay.Net and waited on hold for 1 hour 2 times. NEVER SPEAKING WITH THEM!!!

I looked up the address and came up with Freeport Forwarding Incorporated
1320 State Route 9, Champlain, NY 12919 Tel: 518-298-8582. They are a dumpy ship to address for companies all over the world, but mostly Candia. I called Freeport Forwarding Incorporated and told them they were being used in a fraud operation and gave them the details to call about.

We canceled the bank account and reported this to our bank. Seems that this is the only option we have. I hope that our information will help someone caring this further than us. We would be glad to help anyone at stopping these crooks!!!

This is some crazy stuff. The lady even knew my social. Told me who I bank through, but said I would have to verify th account numbers. I am very private with my banking information. She knew I had to bank accounts as well as my wife's information and banks. Yet she could not tell that they were overdran. I reported these people to Bay Nes 9 and they do pretty good at stopping these scams at their roots.

I beleive these are the same scammers that use 253-390-6784 and 316-351-0618. Do not give them ANY information. If someone doesn't hang up on you, they'll be phishing for your bank account. Good luck!!!

I Called 1-866-969-2574 which is the company National Medical Strategy and spoke with a supervisor. They do offer medical discount packages but have no idea who is calling from 253-390-6784 or 316-351-0618. Now that they are aware of the scammers they will try to do what they can to help catch these people (hopefully this is true). It made me feel better to let them know I was very upset this is happening to me and others! I'm still receiving calls as of last night 11-6-07 at 5:06 p.m. on my cell. This time the girl said her name was Melissa Stevens. I asked if she was with Natioanl... she said no! I asked then who are you this time so I can report it and she hung up on me!!! I will try everytime they call to ask the questions not them!

We know these recent calls are from the Wichita Kansas area..

The last number, 253-390-6784, is in the Tacoma Washington area.

Report this scam to the FTC, local law enforcement, your local news station, or whatever it takes to take them down!

I just received a call from the 316-351-0618 #, asking for my name (first and last!). The woman with an accent said she was from Medical Strategies and that I would be receiving a packet in the mail "that I had ordered" for the program that would give me (I think) 65% off my medical expenses. I asked what in the heck was she talking about; I have good medical insurance. She said, you talked to our representative, and you probably get so many phone calls you don't remember. I asked how they expected to charge me the $376 (I think this was it...) and she said with my bank account information that I supposedly gave them. I asked what bank account information, and she said I would have to confirm that with them. I totally freaked out at her, and after she said some really abusive things, she hung up!!! ...and, by the way, I have also been receiving the 253-390-6784 phone calls also - and got to talk to the woman with the accent one time! I believe that I will report this to my bank also.

yeah it semms like they have found my mobile number also. same story 3 to 5 calls per day and of course when I call back the number I get the recording to press 1 to leave a message and 2 to leave a fax. I do like the idea about answering, "investigations, detective (whoever) speaking" lol I just may have to try this!! or maybe "Law Office" attorney (whoever) speaking. I am glad that I found this information and thank you to all who have commented on this situation and have given me the heads up.

Same as all the other comments.

Female telemarketer (I could hear others in the background) with a Jamaican accent claimed to be with National Medical Strategys and that a package I had asked for (I absolutely did NOT) is on its way to my address, which she had somehow. She kept asking to verify my name to which I responded with several bogus ones. I also asked several times why she needs information regarding a package aleady on its way. As she became more annoyed, she demanded the name of my bank, to which I replied each time with a different out-of-country bank. She asked one more time for the name of my bank, my account number and transit number. After I refused she said I will be billed $370, a service fee for failing to obtain a receipt number to activate or cancel "the package" that's on its way.

I like the comment about answering the number and sounding like LE.

This would be bank fraud if they used this type of personal information without permission. Never give this information over the phone, internet, mail, or anywhere else it can be used in a scam like this. I will contact my bank and I hope others will.

usually call between 3 to 5 times a day, when I finally answeredt, this woman with an accent started telling me that I have signed up for some medical account, for which I have not, and that I will be billed $350.00 when it arrives, and that the only way to vere in any wayify the account and to cancel was to give them my bank account and personal information. funny if there supposed to have it already.
sounds like a SCAM, she would not help me in any way, nor would she let me talk to a supervisor. She was upset with me and started yelling at me when she heard my roommate asking me to ask them questions.TOTAL SCAM....

RODNEY ANDERSON called me from a number 316 351 0618 and claimed to be a representative from National Medical Strategy. He continously called my mobile phone for about 2 weeks. When I finally answered the number he was offering a medical coverage at 65%. Before letting him finish his offers, I asked him what is your company's phone number, who referred my number to you, how did you get my information, and who is the company affiliated with? The only answer he gave me was the company's phone number, which is 866-969-2574. He said, that he got my information over the internet, and later into the conversation he mentioned that Social Services referred me to him.

Then he tells me that in order for them to send me a free medical package, he would need to verify my information on file. He insisted for me to verify my name, address, and phone number, and my bank account.

So I asked him, if you are medical company why would you need me to verify my account? Most medical companies verifies other information besides my account. So I told him let me contact medicaid, medical military facility, social services and the better business bureau and I will call you back if I am still interested. For now, please do not call my number and I will call you.

He still insisted, then later threatened that the company will still charge me for the package. I told him, "I did not apply anything from your company, so don't call me again!" I hung up.

I hope they don't have my information. :(

Person was saying she was with National Medical Strategy. New all my banking info!!! Said if I confirmed the info I could get a receipt number and then call this 1-866-969-2574 to give receipt number to cancel, but if I didn't call my account would be charged $350.00 some odd dollars for some medical package that I never heard of. Have reported it to my bank fraud department. If anyone else has this happen please report it to your bank as well!!!

Stopped getting calls from 253-390-6784 and started getting calls from 316-351-0618 today. I'm seriously thinking about filing harassment charges with the DA's in each county these calls are coming from. Whatever you do DO NOT give them any info. With the first number I mentioned one lady just started answering the calls "Investigations, Detective (make up a name) how can I help you? It worked for her and the calls stopped.

Frequent calls, usually 4 per day, for approximately 3 weeks. There is never a message, only dead silence. I have called the number which is answered by an answering machine directing the caller to select 1 to leave message or 2 to fax. Left message to remove phone number from their list. No response. Calls continue.
