Scammers with autodialers and spoofed VOIP accounts have all of our numbers on what I would term the ''Do Not Care'' list. Your federal DNC registration is not a magical shield against every nuisance caller, and you were never promised one.

Here is all the ''nothing'' which has been done to clean out Telemarketing Sales Rule violators. Hope you have a few hours to read it all.

They call & call & call. I can no longer answer my phone. All calls go to my answering machine and these people just hang up. The FTC/DO NOT CALL is a waste. They do nothing. I'm paying for a service that just annoys me. These callers should be prosecuted. Why isn't someone stopping these callers?

253-753-9041 -- they call and hang up. I am so tired of these calls - why don't they stop once we are on the "do not call" list?????

PECO stalks me like a psycho ex-girlfriend. I'm on the Do Not Call List. This is their fifth number I've had to block. Who would do business with a company that stalks you?

PECO is alerting Philadelphia-area customers to a utility scam that claims customers can get help with their utility bills from the federal government.

Scammers are contacting customers through social media, text messages and U.S. mail, claiming a program from the Obama Administration can help pay their bills. Customers are then asked for their Social Security numbers and other personal information, and the scammer says payment will be made from a Federal Reserve bank account directly to their utility company.

PECO said customers should never give out their Social Security number or other information over the phone unless the customer has initiated the call. Customers who want to check the validity of a call should hang up and call PECO directly at 1-800-494-4000.

Customers also shouldn't allow access into their home from anyone who claims to be from PECO, or a PECO contractor, unless the visit was scheduled and the person has proper ID.

This number called roughly 3 times a day. I just wonder whether they can get any business. It is so annoying

I am getting numerous calls from this number DAILY promising me savings if I switch to their electric company. very annoying. Isn't this was the do not call list is for?

One of several 253 numbers coming up with such caller IDs as Electricity or Utility. Again, I figured that to stop the harassment, it was better to confront the person. Same "stay on the line" message as the others.

Anyway, she said that she had to have my ComEd account number to which I said I wasn't going to give that information to someone who didn't identify what company they represented, which was the end of that call.
