Pre-recorded message that transfers to a live agent if you stay on the line. They are offering to lower credit card interest rate. I told them I was not interested, that I wanted to be taken off of their list. I told them I have reported already, because I'm on the do-not-call list. The agent just hung up on me.

I have received many calls from them in the past recent months. The phone number varies, but it's the same pre-recorded message. I have 2 complaints sent to the CRTC. I'm hoping they will get their act together. I'm fed up of this telemarketer.

they called and said they are from VisaMastercard. I asked 'which one are you with'. Then they said oh, maple accounting. dude told me website was www.maple-accounting.ca. when i keyed it in it came up as OOOPS UNAVAILABLE. When I told him that he said oh it must be under construction. These people are criminals that are calling - trying to catch people unaware and they should be charged with FRAUD. Reporting them to the BBB!

Same old credit card scam. Seem to be the same folks that have sued 324-8131 and 352-9679 as well.

Reports from other phone spam-reporting sites mention that these scammers call themselves the "Federal Credit Card Authority of Canada", among others. The typical spiel involves lowering your credit card interest rate to 6.9%.

Filing a complaint with the CRTC's DNCL ( https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/index-eng ) is probably fruitless because the phone number is spoofed. Apparently, it belonged to a deceased (c. 2006) man in Kamloops, B.C. ((250) 372-xxxx is a Kamloops, B.C. prefix.)
