Never talk to debt collectors on the phone.

If you get calls from these guys, go visit creditboards.com and read up on how to deal with them properly.

Be careful, many collectors are tricky and will do their best to get you to expose yourself legally (including giving bad advice on web forums that look like they are there to help you).

I receive at least one call a day from this company on my cell phone while working. As I am usually busy during the times they call they go through to voice mail. I finally spoke with someone today and they have been calling daily to collect a $90 amount from my local hospital. I have had extensive medical bills and when I informed him that my local hospital used a different agency for collection, he had no answer. I refused to deal with them unless they sent something in writing and was told they had sent me a bill - one time - two years ago! I told him unless I got written notification so that I could verify with the original creditor then they better stop calling. He finally did agree to send out an itemized bill but told me they would continue to call even though I asked them to stop. Creditors are required to stop calling if asked to communicate by mail, especially if it is interferring with your work place. I have had so many bills from different doctors and hospitals somthing could have been missed - but this agency is a joke.

I received a call from them also. They wanted to know my ss# and birthdate. I told them I would not verify that information until they told me who they were and what they wanted. She (Jessica) refused to answer my questions - couldn't tell me what they wanted, started rampling on about some federal law and then hung up on me. I called back and when she answered she just said "hello." I thought that it was strange if this is a reputable business that she didn't answer with a business name. I asked to speak to her supervisor who in turn acted the same way. When I refused to verify my ss# she hung up on me also. I don't know who they are but I wouldn't give out any info to them.

West Asset Managment is a disreputable collection agency. Send them a cease communication letter and dont pay them a dime.

My name and phone number is listed on the 'No Call list.' Is this an invasion of privacy?

Called at least once a day.
This must be an unsolicited sales pitch of some sort.

They also call from 240-210-7086 and 703-291-9045. I looked up the (757) 209-2013 and it's a Sprint carrier. Really shady!!!!!
