The number is now in my computer program PhoneTray which will answer this number the next time they call, give them a message of my choice, and hang up. All that's needed is a Fax/Data/Voice/CallerID modem and the program. Check it out at: http://www.phonetray.com/
I can't believe our phone companies can't stop these criminals from using spoofed numbers and fake numbers to call and bother us each and every day of the year. I get calls from these scam/spam/phishers/ whatever they happen to be doing this week to steal my info creeps...They call all hours of the day and night and even on weekends. I'm so sick of it that if I don't recognize the number on my caller ID ...then I just answer and hang up all in one swoop! I remember a month or so ago the phone numbers showing up on my caller ID were actually local numbers...so I blocked my number and called the numbers on my caller ID right back...of course they were not working numbers...so somehow the A-holes got a list of non working numbers and SPOOFED those numbers onto the caller ID...They even had the nerve to use my very own phone number!!! Come On !!!Someone help us! Stop these nitwits! it's so annoying! we're all sitting ducks here...and we're sick and tired of this $#!t HHHHHEEEELLLLPPPP!!!!!
They claim to be a "Service" that can reduce your credit card interest rate.
I consider this a spam call so I will NEVER answer it.I block all spam calls.
This scammer calls numbers on the national do not call registry in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They further violate the TCPA by not having an operator on the line when the phone is answered, and still further violate it by playing a recorded message without an operator on the line. The recorded message is the standard 'this is your last opportunity to take advantage of this offer to lower your interest rates' scam. When you do get to an operator, they further violate the TCPA by hanging up instead of providing a physical address and phone number when asked. This is clearly a scam. Do not provide this scammer any personal information.
