I receive an average of 14 calls per day from these idiots, despite being on the Do Not Call list. I finally called the Federal Trade Commission. Their number is 1-877-382-4357. They only act if there are numerous complaints against a company, so call the FTC now to stop this harassment.

I've gotten four calls from this number today. The 1st, 2nd, & 4th times there was nobody on the other end. The third time there was a woman w/ an Indian accent who asked if I was [my name], said something about marketing, then the call dropped. I tried calling the number and got a recorded message saying "You have reached the marketing department, all our agents are busy" and asking me to press 1 if I wanted my phone number included in future campaigns and 2 if I wanted an agent to call me back. It was a male voice, speaking with an American accent.

When I answered they asked if I was (my name). I said yes.
Man just said they were calling to thank me for my Visa Card.
I asked "Who is calling?" and he hung up. Apparent scam.

This # has been active again. fishing for info, and giving repeat calls. They use multiple area codes, I haven't seen one from my area yet. I know that some telemarketers make it appear that they're calling from your area code, the ones selling those extended warranties for cars I don't own do it. On another forum, a woman stated that was done to her, but also they used an a.c. from her son's college, and even a simmilar prefix.

I always get a rash of calls after making a purchase online, or by phone. I don't use phone orders anymore, and online I give a bogus #, if they require one.

Seems very close to frequent caller KBF, 231-224-2072. Appears to be some sort of scam, a la KBF's scam.

Called trying to sell/tell me I had won a free $50 gas card for only a $1.95 shipping fee, then a "low monthly fee". Be Ware! They had the last four digits of my credit card!
