I talked to the woman for a few minutes. I asked her if she enjoyed working for a criminal organization. She said "Oh, that's the company from Missouri. We're different". I said to her that there must be better jobs out there that would be more satisfying, that you could sleep at night. There was no response. This will be my tactic whenever they call. They are working for minimum wage in a call centre or at home part time. They probably only get paid when they make a sale or collect personal information. They're in for a world of hurt every time they call. See also 909-650-9175

I don't understand why the feds can't trace these calls and at least keep fining them with public mischief. Probably petty for the feds.

I work at a major manufacturer of recreational equipment and this automated message ALWAYS calls. I usually hang up, sometimes I press "2" to be removed from their list (of COURSE I STILL get these calls) and once I dialed "1" to speak to a representative to ask them to be removed and he just said "okay" and hung up. I am really frustrated over these annoying phone calls! (And I have also received calls at my employers about "my" student loans, having a security system set up at my house if I display a sign, as well as countless others...)

As a PI for a law firm here, when I started getting calls from this number I found this site online. Curiosity led me to find out that
Wales Rodney & Patricia
Lovell, ME 04051
(207) 925-1732

Did indeed used to have this number, and that they now have a NEW number and not associated with the old one any more.
Also from checking, when people get a "disconnected" or "not in service" message I found out its simply the current owner (who chose to remain unlisted but is currently under request from the courts to reveal the same)
using a standard answering machine that he/she has recorded a legit phone company message on. When someone returns the call they simply let the machine pick up if they so choose not to answer. And the returning caller thinks the number is not in service.
After several attempts I managed to get a response, and was offered an "extended automobile warranty" upon surrendering bank or credit card information I would receive my information in the mail within 30 days.
So, I'm telling everyone from experience this is DEFFINATLY a scam. No legitimate business would not tell you their name, corporate owner, address etc.. (all of which was avoided and non given to me on request)
i'll update this later as I'm determined to get to the bottom of this!

if Mr. and Mrs. Wales don't have that number anymore, then how did you get a hold of them by calling it? confusing.
Oh and they've called me 4 times in the past 3 days. I haven't answered because I never answer when I don't know the number, and if they don't leave a message why would I call back when I have no idea who I'm calling. People are so stupid.

I got a call today and yesterday from this number. When I call back the message starts out as saying out of service. But if you listen long enough another message comes up saying this caller is not accepting calls. I looked up the number and it comes up as:

Wales Rodney & Patricia Modem
[undisclosed] Mc*neil Rd
Lovell, ME 04051
(207) 925-1732

When I look up the names I came up with:

R Whales
PO Box 82
Lovell, ME 04051-0082
207-925-3075

I have received 2 calls from 207-925-1732 on Dec 1 and just a few moments ago (Dec 2nd). I have called the number back (207-925-1732) and it states that this number is no longer in-service. That is strange...how can a number be no longer in-service and someone have access to use this line to call people. The concerning part is that this phone number is calling my cell phone, which uses my minutes. I did search on the Internet and the number shows a MODEM and Mrs. and Mrs. Wales other phone number. I did call and speak with Mrs. Wales. She said that the 207-925-1732 number was their OLD modem number from many years ago. She is receiving many calls from angry people because of this issue. The state police have even came to her home to talk with her. She does not know why and how this is happening. She has had nothing to do with this phone number for years. She just wishes that the police would catch these scam people and the angry phone calls would stop. She doesn’t know what to do to make this situation go away. Does anyone know what Mrs. Wales can do? She has contacted the phone company with no resolutions. I feel very sad for her and her husband; she is a very nice lady. Myself, I wish whoever is doing this would stop calling my cell phone and for them to be accountably for their actions.

Was some sort of auto warranty service. It said hit 1 to talk to an operator, so I did I got a person asking for the make/year/model of my car. I asked what the name of the company was. I was then disconnected. This is a new phone that I haven't used for any marketing deal, so it was a total cold call.

I just got a call from this company - it is a recorded message and if you press one you can talk to them. They are soliciting re-financing and such I am sure a scam to take advantage of people having a tough time right now. I pressed one to talk to them and told them to never call again as I am registered with the donotcall.gov
