Indian woman called my work number and said her name was Nancy Walker, no disrespect, but I never heard of a Indian woman with a name like that, anyway, the number was 206-445-6568, and she told my co-worker this is in reference to some sort of case and if I don't call back "Best of luck". I don't know what kind of scam they are running but this isn't the first time.

Same as other callers have noted. Guy with Indian accent tells me he's from Microsoft, says they've been getting error messages from my computer saying that it's infected with all types of viruses. Having programming experience with PCs, I cut him off, and told him he was full of crap. He promptly hung up. DON'T BUY INTO THIS SCAM!!! Ask yourself - how in the world would Microsoft have enough time and money to hunt down each and every person that had an infected PC? How would they get your phone number? And why didn't the Caller ID state them as being from Microsoft? Stupid, sleazy, scam all the way around.

Wow, that is really something that these people are out there running these scams. And even crazier is someone who would actually let them take control of or download something to their computer.

Caller Id: TRIKON. Heavy Indian accent, told me something was wrong with my computer. Played along...he had me go through the system event logs--application and security--and count the number of warning and errors logged by my system. I didn't have time to take it all the way but I suspect it was leading up to running a system check on some website (read that-install a Trojan). This is the third call I've received from this number in the last week. Maybe next time I'll continue to see where it eventually leads.
