Did not answer call. I always file a complaint with DNC. I found when typing in the number that I'd filed another one recently on a similar number 206-397-1505.

Quick update, called 800-780-7492 spoke to a guy there, he searched their "databases" and said I must have got through to them because my number was no longer present in either.

Feel free to cal land complain., I did and let him know about having reported them to the National do not call registry and the FCC.

I will see if this gets it done finally if not well then I will call back I got the guys full name.

They also use 206-397-1523, the caller identifies himself as Kevin with Home security systems or home security group. I have told him not to call my cell, explained i was on the do not call list, and that it was illegal to do both in my state. They say sorry and hang up. Asking to speak to his boss will get you hung up on. I called the number back and I got an opt out option which I selected. I have reported them to the FCC and the Do not call registry. My next step is the better business bureau.

The want to just GIVE you a free security system and all you have to do is let them put a sign on your lawn. Right. I bet.

5-12-10 4:45pm Answered the phone and the guy said he was from a Home Security. Asked how I was today I replied "Fine", He said "Good, The reason I am calling "...then there was like a blank moment and he said "Fine not a problem" and hung up...very weird. Caller ID said SIMS 206-397-1505.

I'm on Virgin mobile. Just "missed" the call. Wouldn't have answered anyway as there are only about 5 people with my number.

As for the Do Not Call lists - they all get around them in the same way: they use an automated random dialer. In that way, they are not actually calling "you". If they do call you, it's "accidental". That's also why they don't maintain their own "do not call list" - they have no lists at all, either to call or to avoid. It skirts the illegality. You can take off your tin foil hat now .... ;)

My caller ID showed the caller's name as Sims. He then asked if we had a security system...and if we paid on a monthly basis for continued service.

There were intermittent long pauses in the message, then I said, "Is this a recording?" Then after another pause, a voice came on the line, (the same voice) and said, "do I sound that bad?" Then all of a sudden he hung up on me.

Be ware.

Fortunately, our neighbors have two Rottwielers and a 200lb Mastiff that watch our back yards.

Some home security company looking for "demo properties in my neighborhood" called again, as they do at least twice a year.
I told him that I wasn't interested and that my number is registered with the national Do Not Call List. He said that they would remove me from their list. They should be massively fined.

Once again, couldn't make it to the phone. No message was left. SIMS was on caller ID. I don't understand how folks who are on the Do Not Call list, including myself, keep getting these crap calls. At least have the decency to leave a message.

Just received the same call. First from some place that said SIMS on the caller ID and then the guy hung up and I received a call from this number. Got the same spill about wanting to install a free system, put a sign in the yard, etc. I was googling while on the phone with him b/c it made me nervous. He started asking if I knew about stickers being a deterrent, etc and I told him I did b/c we had a system. Like I am going to tell any stranger over the phone that I DONT have a system. Better luck next time guys. OH and btw, when I told him it was thru ADT, he told me that they can change it out and it would only be $34.95 or some such a mth...so...not free after all.

Offered free home security system - they want a model home in my neighborhood. I asked to be placed on the do not call list, so I don't know what this tremendous opportunity is.

Area Code 206 is for Seattle, Washington, and for portions of its metropolitan area from Des Moines to Woodway. 206 also serves the islands of Mercer, Bainbridge, and Vashon.

After doing some Google research, I found this:

1. My caller ID shows SIMS 206-397-1505, no message was left. I called the # back, just a recording which does not identify the company, but, an option to press #1 to stop further calls ... apparently it doesn't work, I received a call shortly afterwards from 800-780-7492 - which is a home security biz. I confirmed their telemarketing # is 206-397-1505. I asked how they got my #, the guy told me my husband gave our tel # when he registered at hulu.com http://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/2063971505/2
Caller: SIMS
Call Type: Telemarketer

2. Well just so everyone knows, this company has been making telemarketing calls to my phone for past couple of days even thought my phone is on DNC list. They use a guy named Kevin who would call me and so last 2 times I asked him to transfer me to an expert, instead he sent me to Monitronics. And the funny thing is when... I complained to Monitronics about this kind of telemarketing to DNC numbers being illegal, the representative says go ahead do whatever I can do and says "Fu@$ Off" before hanging up on me. Do you guys really do business with this company? The guy Kevin called from (206) 397 -1505 and he transferred me to a representative on 916-437-0900. http://www.facebook.com/monitronics

3. Google Search says the number 916-437-0900 belongs to a Joey Morris in Sacramento, CA 95814-0000

A Monitronics Representitive on FaceBook said he would start investigating what happened. You can contact him --- Leah Shafer, lshafer@monitronics.com , 972-243-7443, ext. 3029.

Monitronics Home Security Systems calls from 6 phone numbers:
800-447-6239
800-447-9239
800-890-6025
800-780-7492
206-397-1505
800-290-0709

And this SIMS calls from 7 phone numbers --- notice the 206-397-1505 number does over lap to both the SIMS and the Monotronics

Here http://whocalled.us/lookup/sims is says SIMS calls from 13 numbers, however, after looking up ALL of those numbers, only 7 are from this SIMS. Do not confuse this SIMS for SIM LLC, a Financial Department, they are two separate companies.
The 7 numbers this SIMS calls from are
206-397-1505
402-982-0719
517-933-2008
702-520-1101
760-526-8108

Got call on cell this morning, with same spiel about wanting to use my home as test home for security system, which I would get for free. When I asked for a number to call back after talking to my husband, he laughed a bit and thanked me for my time. Since he didn't give me another number, I asked if I could call back on this number. He again thanked me for my time, and I told him never to call my number again. I am on every do-not-call list I can find.

Something awful fishy about someone calling you and asking if you have a home security system. Hung up on them before they could ever get their question out. Not only am I notifying the federal Do-Not Call registry, but also notifying Sheriff and PD about this call.

Had a missed call from this number on March 19, evidently it's a home security scam. I just got a call from what I think must be the same company from phone number 406-982-0705 (it sounded like an automated message and asked if I had a home security system).
Answered and got what sounded like an automated message asking if I have a home security system. If it's free, there's either a catch or it's a scam and this seems to be the latter. Also got a missed call on March 19 that must've been the same company (no message left) from phone number 206-397-1505.

I was originally called from 206-397-1505 and asked about interest in a home security system.
Confirmed contact information then I was called back by someone @ 800-780-7492 with the sales pitch.
I called the first number back, as mentioned elsewhere, and pressed 1 to be placed on their Do Not Call list.

Received a call from this # saying they wanted to install a free Security system and put a sign in my yard I told them I wasn't interested and they hung up immediately. If it is a crook wait to they meet my security system if they try to break in.
