My phone numbers are all on the FCC Do Not Call List. That small fact does not impede this vendor from calling.

I got the your warranty is going to expire on your car and I pressed 1 because they call after 9pm. I spoke with the gentleman who told me the company name is TRANSAMERICA WARRANTY. I asked him to take my number off the list and he said that it is a computer that calls. I asked him if I give him the number can he take it off and he said YES. It is stupid! Thanks, Kelly

This is the 3rd time I have tried to talk to someone....this time I told him that I have babies sleeping in the other room and really need them to stop calling late.

Recording stated that my car warranty had expired and they have tried repeatedly to contact me via mail. Pressed 2 to disconnect and tried to call the number back, but a recording said the service was temporarily unavailable. They call everyday and I've had about all I can take.

Got the call tonight (again) about my vehicle's warranty being expired- clearly a scam. Good thing is, at least there's a number to go on.

According to NANPA (N. American Numbering Plan Assoc.), the 202-552 exchange is registered to Paetec Communications, Inc.
http://www.nanpa.com/nas/public/assigned_code_query_display.do?method=displayAssignedCodeQueryData

Paetec is a legit B2B company, and probably doesn't know whoever leased the 1000 block of numbers is phone-spamming. But, they do have the capability to shut it down if they want to, as the phone spam clearly violates their acceptable use policy. I will be contacting them tomorrow and see what they have to say about it. I encourage the rest of you to do the same.

The next step is to back-reference the CIC the central office(s) holding that exchange block to a specific location, and ultimately, the address of call center spamming all of us. I will post updates as I find out more.

The caller ID: "US United Colle". I almost answered because of the US United part. I decided to let them leave a message first -- they didn't. I'm on the do-no-call list, as well. I guess they don't care.

OMG! I have found at least 5 websites with this number listed as a problem for people, so, my story is so similar to others I won't get into that, but the common thread is that people give them an honest road block to their intentions, and all they do is hang up? What possible benefit are they looking for? What is the point? Does anyone know a way to report these people?

WTF???Message left: "YOU'VE BEEN NOTIFIED SERVERAL TIMES BY MAIL, BUT HAVE NOT RESPONDED! PRESS 1 TO RENEW YOUR WARRENTY NOW!" Tone of voice was like a threat! Not the first time I've had a message left by this number, but it's the first time I've ever felt like checking out who these spammers are.

No one is there when I answer -- this is the third call. Interestingly enough, we just got junk mail (that I threw out) from some company telling us our recently purchased used car's warranty was expired. I also just found out the Do-Not-CALL list only registers a phone number for 5 years, so you might have to re-register.

They called my cell phone and stayed on the line long enough for my carrier to think they were leaving a message. However, no message was left. My carrier identified the dialing number. These people should be hunted down and made an example of!

To stop this practice make a complaint to the FTC. Federal Law requires sellers to identify the name and address of the company they represent.

Called my home number - recording saying my auto warranty was up. Stayed on the line to tell them to talk to a rep. When I said I wanted to be taken off their call list, he hung up. When I called back, it was a recording about home financing. Pushed one to talk to a representative to be "taken off their call list" as the recorded option stated, but then was given a message asking to leave my name and phone number and a representative would call me back - I want them to STOP calling, not call me back. I hung up after leaving an aggravated message...WITHOUT my name and number.

This number is on my caller ID 3 to 4 times a day for the last several days. Leaves no message. I called the number, recording about debt settlement service. Recording said to press 2 to opt out of marketing service. I pressed 2, recording telling me to leave my name and number. My friend who is an attorney said avoiding the call will not stop it. Answer the call, interupt the person, tell them to put you on their DO NOT CALL LIST, hung up. If they call again, tell them you are on the National Do Not Call List and will be filing a complaint. Hung up.

They said they could help clear debts. Guy said his name was Mike and he was in Ca, with a D.C. number. When I said I wanted info on the company first he hung up. I only asked to waste his time. Makes it a little less profitable for them.

Think we all need to put a fast busy or the "number you have dialed is no longer in service" tone on our answering machines. Enough people do that the predictive would totally be freaked out. Only problem doing that some people that actually need to talk to us might get a bit confused.

Who knows it may just be a plot by the phone companies to get us to buy their privacy services - which btw don't work since there's the recording that still shows up to announce the caller.

7:30pm 8/30/07 Boston, MA they called but I didn't answer since I didn't recognise the # and they left no message. Something just came to me though. I just put my phone number on a website recently (on or about 8/28/07) because I was writing to tell a company about a product of theirs I was using. Since I love the product and am very happy with it I gladly checked off a box saying I would take place in a survey of their product and that I would be contacted by a service representative soon. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it but the timing does seem strange. Has anyone else done this?

They are cold calling. I've never owned and I've had this phone number for years now. So there is no reason from a mortgage service to call my phone number.

Since I am on the national no call list and I've never had any dealing with their company what they are doing is illegal!
