Company that identified itself as "Answer Solutions". They offered a cruise a for the answer to some non sensative demographic questions. When transfered to an "operator" i asked about the company and was told the name was Answer Solutions and all they can tell me is that they are on the "East Coast". When I asked to speak to a supervisor the rep hung up on me. Very dodgy call.

@STUDENT: Hey, you are aware that ANI/CallerID information can be forged, aren't you? This is the new spam (well, perhaps not that "new") and its purveyors will protest their innocence--loudly--to the ends of the earth.

Think about it: if you were making a bunch of hated calls, would you make them appear to come from your neighborhood? Personally, I'd try to make it look like it came from the other side of the country (as he has apparently done).

I hope someone annoys the snot out of the bastard!

Just got a call from this number. Busy signal. Blocked it from my phone. I think its a scam.
 Sep 26th, 2011

4 YEAR OLD SCAM!!! Was told I would receive 2 fee cruise tickets if take survey. Went to "" after, as directed, filled in my info and kept going to a page that said "not handled, check tracking". The phone call and survey site is sponsored by "United Survey Group". Cannot locate any physical address of ligit contact info for them. Did find numerous complaints on yahoo, google, rip-off etc. going back 4 YEARS on this "survey cruise" and the United Survey Group.

@STUDENT - if you look at that guys info, he owns an 'autodialing company' which is exactly what is calling us. He deserves to be terrorized regardless of whether it is his company doing it or not.

 Sep 22nd, 2011
It was a pre-recorded message explaining that if I participated in a survey, I would immediately be the recipient of two free cruise tickets to the Bahamas! ot press 1 to take some random survey (that wasn't even explained in the recording) I pressed nothing but stayed on the line to see if there were more options than to "press 1 to take the survey now and get two FREE cruise tickets to the Bahamas!" .... but there was no other options, such as "press 2 to never receive a call from us again!" I just hung up.

a phone call from 2024805620
 Sep 22nd, 2011
This company called claiming that if I answer 10 questions I will be up for a cruise to the Bahamas. I went through answered the questions then talked to a rep just long enough to give him my name cell number and zip code. Then he sent me to a recording that said if I will go to I can register to claim my cruise. Conviently when I got on the web site the guy typed my last name incorrectly. I tried to edit but and continue with the submission but it came up with my information is inconsistent and wouldn't allow me to go any further. I then tried the link to send an email and it just gave me an error and wouldn't allow me to submit. I'm sure it is a hoax but I going to try and find a number to report them to a consumer watch group because I'm sure it isn't legal.

I called the number from @ANGRY's post:

He said:
"Some asshole put my information to a telemarketing number site and I get 50 calls per day. My area code is (949) not (202)"

Maybe that post should be removed. Don't think it's worth terrorizing a random person.
 Sep 20th, 2011
this call came in yesterday Sept.17th 2011 - had no message, we did not pick up as unknown number. Also our home phone is unlisted.
 Sep 18th, 2011
I got this phone call on my cell, and did not recognize the number, although I could see that it was a DC number and knew that it was likely a phone call that I would regret answering. I accidentally (or was it?) hit the "reject" button, then came here to find out who it had been. Thanks to the site, I will add this number to my list of rejected numbers (actually, it's the inaugural number. Congratulations?)
 Sep 16th, 2011
Received on my mobile which is unlisted and on the Do Not Call list. I didn't recognize the number so I ignored the call.
 Sep 16th, 2011
I don't give my cell # to ANYONE, so this is an automated calling system which is in violation of federal law because I'm on the national DNC list. I filed a complaint at (along w/208 other victims) hoping that if enough of us do, this creep will go out of business. THANKS to & contributors for letting us know who he really is and his real address & phone #. You guys ROCK!
 Sep 15th, 2011
Cruise recorded msg, no company name, no way to opt out or speak to live person. Seems illegal telemarketing
 Sep 15th, 2011
Hung up as I answered. Called back a few times and it hung up automatically each time. Was busy every other time.
 Sep 13th, 2011
Folks, give ole Montes a call every time his system calls you. Send a letter to Verizon wireless and to ole Monte telling them that you are officially telling them to cease. I plan on calling Mr. Monte everytime his stupid machine calls me. Lets see how he likes it.

 Sep 07th, 2011
I keep recieving calls from this number (several times a week for several weeks now). Its a recording that says its a public opinion poll and for my answers i'll receive 2 free boarding passes for a cruise to Nassau Bahamas. I know its a scam, so I hang up. There is no option to say "no" to the survey. When you try to call the number back, its a busy signal or the line just goes dead. I want them to stop calling me!! This is ridiculous!
Very annoyed
 Sep 01st, 2011
kept calling until I answered and took short survey on BS. The said I won 2 all inclusive cruise tickets and directed me to website to claim them but you can't..alla scam
 Aug 25th, 2011
got the call about the free Nassau cruise (with the foghorn and captain cheesiness), did the survey, gave my real name to a real person...when they asked if this was the best number to reach me at I asked "for what purpose?" They didn't answer, just asked again, "is this your home number?" I repeated "for what purpose?" and they hung up.
just googled "phone survey free bahama cruise" and spent the last 15 minutes skimming various sites, blogs, etc. Still not sure exactly what their goal is or what they'll do with the information I've given. We feel like our information is obviously quite accessible to just about any company out there, devious or not, based on all the junk mail/email that we get regularly... so I'm assuming this won't really make a big difference...
but the curious thing is that even though the records on this same sort of phone call go back now like 3-4 years, so far I haven't found a definitive answer as to who this is, what they're doing, how it works, or what to do about it.

Robocall Cruise scam. Got the same call from a number that had a caller id of all zeroes the other day.
 Aug 20th, 2011
Some kind of cruise scam automated message. They called twice 2 days in a row. The second time, I tried to call back to have my number removed from their list, their system hangs up immediately.
