A few years back a Nebraska call center would pelt my folks for months trying to upsell service. Tell them to quit and they would only start up again with the next sales campaign. Should have made demands via Certified mail as I often advise with debt collectors.

I received a call from this number on 12/21/10, claiming to be from Cox Communications and trying to sell me an upgrade to my internet access. I told him he couldn't be trusted. At least he wished me a Merry Christmas before he hung up.
This number called a few days in a row a little after 9am, doesn't leave a message. Usually caller ID is Weehawken NJ, but sometimes there is none.
Called Cox Communications and they said it is not them and nothing is wrong with account so should not be getting 3rd party calls. I am on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY and will be reporting this number. Suggest everyone take this step to shut them down.
If you have a fax machine or multifunction printer/scanner/fax with a junk fax blocker you're home free. Just add the telephone number to the junk fax list. Whenever they call the machine will immediately answer and hang up.

a recorded message said 'your local cable company is trying to contact you.' then it hung up. ?? Weird. Why don't they just call me and talk to me then. Dumb.
