This is the second call in two days from this number and it woke me up again. I didn't answer this time. Yesterday, I called back and selected "1" after the prompt to discontinue further contact. The recording said it would take 72 hours to remove my number...we'll see. The call came in on my cell phone both days.
Interactive robocall advising that it was a home security company. Then ask if I was the homeowner and wanted a call back. I called back and got a recording stating to select "1" if I didn't want anymore calls. I selected "1" and the response was to allow 72 hours for my number to be removed. I seriously doubt that stops them. I'm a day sleeper and that %$&@ call woke me up.
Call was from National Bullion & Coin trying to sell me U.S. gold coins.
I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number and no message was left. Came in on my cell phone.
I googled US Emerald Energy and came up with usemeraldenergy.com. It appears they are involved in gas and oil investment solicitations. I called the 800 number listed on the website (800-783-9059) and spoke with "John S." He was courteous and said he would add my number to their do-not-call list.
When I answered the phone after 3 rings, there was a pause and then a disconnect tone. I have received numerous calls with the caller ID of US EMERALD ENER over the last year or 2. I usually do not answer calls with this CID and there is never a voice mail left. I answered this time to request they remove my number from their call list.

Regarding my last post, I checked the Capital One website and 800-239-7054 was listed under Fraud Protection. However, the call sure seemed suspicious.
Answering machine message identified the caller (Crystal) as being from Capital One Fraud Department. I called the number back and the voice mail asked for a 5-digit extension which had no been given. I was connect to Annette who had a strong Caribbean accent. She asked for my Capital 1 account number which, thankfully, I didn't have. She wanted to verify last 4 of SSN, my phone number, address, date of birth. I became suspicious when she ask to verify the state my SSN was issued. At that point, I asked to speak to a supervisor. She put me on hold and I hung up after about a minute. The voice mail greeting sounded legit but the quality of the call, talking in the background, and the "hold" background music quality didn't give me confidence.
I answered the call this time. Caller said it was "Jose" from Chase Bank and he asked to speak to Reba xxxxx. I told him that there is no Reba xxxxx at this number. I also told him to be put my number on The No Call List. We have received numerous calls from this number and let it go to voice mail. After the first call, I called the number given in the message and got a recording for a sex advertisement.
"This message is for Reba, Chase Bank. Call us back at 800-446-8939, thank you."
We have received numerous similar calls from several different numbers (either an 800 toll free or from area code 614, the caller identifying themselves as being from Chase Bank and providing a different number for call back. After the first call, we called the number given and it was a recording of a "sex" advertisement. No "Reba" reside at this house anyway.
Obviously, this is not Chase Bank.
When the 800 number was called, the answering message was something like: "Welcome to Find A Local Girl"
This call is for (unintelligible), this is Monica calling from Chase Bank. Please call us 800-446-8929.
I received a call on my cell phone but did not answer. The area code indicates it is from the Dominican Republic. I don't know anyone from that country. No message was left.
Earthlink.net must have been calling to see if my problem was satisfactorily resolved from a few days ago. Caller ID just said TOLL FREE CALL. I answered and heard no response within a couple of seconds of my "hello". So, I hung up.
