Houses and cars are expensive and not everybody is able to buy it. But, loans are invented to aid different people in such kind of situations.
Many times these phone calls are terminated before you answer. Their telemarketing machines do this regardless if you answer or not. The objective for many of these telemarketers is to get name and/or number to show up on your caller ID. If those numbers show up on your caller ID, then they (telemarketing group) are paid small amount of money (it is small, but multiply that times 10,000 calls a day and you have a business). The process is called DIP charges and they are paid by the local carrier to a third party vendor who maintains some control over 911 databases and SS7 switches. They make deals with these telemarketing companies to call these phone numbers in order to get paid. The third party vendors get paid and they pay these telemarketing companies in order to offset the telemarketers' costs. But here is the clincher, there are companies that are set up to do nothing but call your number and hang up and they get paid for it. The phone companies can't stop it because they don't get dinged on the duration of the call, but if the call went through with caller name or number on it. Major cities around the nation are set up with these bogus companies that do this. It is legal for now and you and I pay for it to maintain the 911 databases. Some idiots have found a loophole and exploit it, thus raising our cost.
Lastly, if it is an 800 number or so (or if they ask you to call back an 800 number) then the telemarketer may be getting paid twice. The 800 numbers may go to a lata where long distance termination is higher than usual. Even though these calls terminated in a high dollar lata, most likely it is being shipped by VOIP to another area.
Now YOU know. We can make this country great again. Stop these thieves.
I seen there was information on cell pay as you go phones, you should check out blowzell.com they have descent selection of various prepaid services.
An annoying telemarketer. I am on the Do Not Call List.
They are calling on my cell phone which I do not appreciate.
These people have no right to use up your minutes.
Got the missed call today on my cell phone, seems like the FCC should be able to Zap this
complile the #s & file complaints with the FTC, BBB, FCC & Division of consumer affairs. Maybe if they get enough complaints we can get the mins charged to our cell phones reversed back to them. This would hit their pocketbooks
no message, no one present.
Please stop calling me, I am not interested in your whatever? I will report your number to the Better Business Bureau.
DAMN STOP CALLING ME!!!!!!!!!
called and dind't talk.... happens all the time and the stupid car warranty. I don't even have a car! STOP!
I get several calls a week from numbers I don't know and the ones I do anwser most of them are from a so called car warranty buisness claiming warrranty is about to expire (BS it's good for another 4 years) the number is never the same and you can never call them back if you don't anwser (number either busy or says disconnected) if you do anwser they like to argue with you on the phone which is really fun to waste there time. So i say if you have time argue with them and have a laugh at their expense.
Hit me about 5 minutes ago. Didn't answer. This is my work number....DO NOT SOLICIT!
Message was "this is the second notice that your auto warranty...", and I hung up at this point. Immediately called this number back was was told that the # was no longer in service. I'm gettin 2 call like this per day.
Called today. I didn't answer because I was suspicious of the number. It showed up in my caller ID as "012155798144"
called at 9 this morning, didn't leave a message.
Car warranty scam.
Called seven minutes ago, but I didn't answer.
I get this several times a week.Always saying this is the second and final notice. This is annoying.
they call my number and my boyfriends number more than once. can someone do something about this?
This number keeps calling my phone at work, sometimes several times within just a few minutes. There's never anyone on the line. Huge waste of my time!
i like to get them on the line and take up some of there time. i told them i had a 1978 datsun 210 maybe they will delete my #
dis number called me, it was silent. she was scared. wat up then
i'm getting this from several numbers. i have an i-phone and recently downloaded a free speed dial application. The notes about the application say it will occasionally feature ads (if you don't want the ads you have to download the paid version of the app). i wonder if these calls are related to that. i deleted the app today. Anyone else?
(509) 935-0671 warranty information, they are calling from different numbers.
Chewelah, WA the other number is 617) 625-5509
I answered a call from them last week and finally listened to the message. I tried the discontinue calls and that didn't work. So the next call I received I asked for more info and got someone named Laura. When I figured she wasn't going to give any extra info, I yelled at her until she hung up. I would suggest doing the same thing. It won't stop the calls but it does feel good to vent after so many scam calls.
I'm guessing that they just call numbers sequentially, i.e, 453-1234, 453-1235, 453-1236,453-1237, etc. and try for "hits." So it doesn't matter if you are unlisted, or on "do not call" list. I've always got a "missed call", then google the number, and find out it's the same scam.
Calls on all 3 off my phones, to tell me my warranty is running out. I have recieved my 2nd noticed 6 TIMES
MISSED CALLS ON MY CELL EVERY DAY!
I don't think this is anyone trying to make money. It's just hackers doing it simply because they can. Even I WANTED to buy their warranty, there's no way to do so, as there is never a human being on the line, nor any instructions for how to follow up. WEeks ago it was "tammy Tucker" calling constantly. Now this. Sometimes I get them from "Unavailable Numbers.
If your cell is with Verizon, you can at least go on their website and block the numbers. But this thing morphs like bacteria; they'll just figure out how to keep calling from DIFFERENT numbers. Idiocy.
Central Maine here, I've been getting these calls for the past couple of weeks. Latest from 800-465-7962. Always a recording about my warrany expiring. I always just hang up. Just kind of a pain in the neck...
Keeps calling my mother's phone at around 3am est. time. Once it was a male and left a really dirty and nasty message asking her when they were going to have sex. I called back and just a busy tone.
Angie Tipton 101 N Baker St, Chewelah, WA 99109 is the name and address that pulle up under google.
I live in NH and these calls continue, too bad it interferes with elderly and hospital patients.
Got several calls from this number today...didn't answer though.
I started asking questions about what company did they represent, their name, etc... They hung up
I startes asking questions about what company did they represent, their name, etc... They hung up

I got a missed call at 12:14. Yesterday I got a call from 252-636-3841. This is getting annoying.
On my 'unlisted' cell. Car warranty crapperony. Does nto apply! Very annoying. Busy when trying to call back.
Also got calls from 800 465 7962. Who are these idiots? Who falls for this crap and keeps them going? Yuck.
i don't answer (unknown, out of arrea, private,). but i check the # and the area code. i tried to call this # from the land line & won't connect. so i called from the cell phone & it went through. i asked very nicely to stop calling my cell phone. she said to me quote"" no, too bad"". WHAT A WENCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
now i am in contact with the better business bureau from spokane, wa. hopefully they can do something.
Some warranty scam as others have reported, second warning, etc.. Hate that they call me at work, I've got other things to do. Another guy in the office has been getting calls today from a different number, same message type. 815 area code.
Car Warranty BS
Didn't answer since I've been getting too many spam calls from all different numbers. No message was left. Quite annoying trying to guess what is important or not when thinking about answering. Other numbers include: 412-401-2952, 302-384-0103, 412-901-8510, 270-200-1305, 503-682-9329, 806-785-6596, 412-401-5420, 516-889-1486, 866-469-3328. I save them in my phone book under SPAM so if they call again, i'll know!
have been getting calls from this number for the past couple of weeks, I reject the call and hope that they will stop calling after a while.
This number is not form angie tipton. I called the numbers carrier and found out tha the number is infact a Broadband number based in HUnters washingtion. I am looking more into this, I'll post anything interesting I have found
The call disrupted my work. I didnt pick up. They left no message. How annoying.
Didnt ans - tried to callback number - non working! Spammers!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
My 11 year old son's cell (pay as you go) has received 5 calls this morning from this number. My older son has a friend here and his cell phone is also getting calls on it. I doubt this is a collection agency. I would think it is either a scam or sales call.
Car warranty offer. Called my magic jack. How did they get that number?
these jerks keep calling my cell. When I answer and get a recording i try to press the # to discontinue calling but they keep calling. This is extremely annoying and I sure wish there was a way to get back at these idiots. Any ideas?
I am in East Feliciana Parish, in Louisiana.
What about the rest of you? Let's try adding 2 +2. See what we get.
I had a missed call. Then answered the next one--the call came to my cell phone, I've had the number about 2 weeks. Nobody has this number, but this 509 one did. Anyway, warranty is about to expire on my vehicle. HELLO! My vehicle is a 1987, bought used, paid cash, no warranty.
So what's up with this? SCAM!?
didnt pick up...
i did call the number back...got the message my call was dialed incorrectly by the auto operator.
is this a collection agency or the warranty scam pple????
Warned that my car warranty was expiring. This was the second call (I believe the other one was yesterday).
I don't even own a vehicle. I'd like to find these annoying scumbags and slit their throats for fucking with my private life.
THIS IS A SCAM!
They will spam call you from numbers such as:
"208-783-0733", "704-456-1307", "714-495-4815", "863-904-4825", and "509-935-0671", there are even more listed on my cell phone at this moment.
NEVER GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION ABOUT YOU
I have been getting spam called by this number and a couple others. I am 95% sure these are all scam calls!
I and my sister (two different cell phone#'s) have picked up and heard the "Warrenty is about to expire message." It's absolutely ridiculous how often I get these phone calls. The only people who have my number are close family members and a couple trusted friends. I believe that my number was given to this "509-935-0671" by companies that I have applied to for jobs.
This needs to stop! =(
didn't answer, called several times. Id the number as scam in my phone book
missed call on my cell
I checked online who this call was from and it is registered to an Angie Tipton of Chewelah, WA. I tried to return the call and the call will not go thru.
these people suck
I didn't answer - but I've been getting those damn expiring auto warranty calls on my cell phone recently.
I was just wondering, has anyone ever followed through and listened all the way to see if you actually get someone on the line? if so i'd love to ring their neck
auto warranty scam
I am so sick of these calls. If anyone know how to sue them let us. I would even be willing to donate money to help pay for legal fee's.
I'm pretty sure the number is spoofed so Angie Tipton is innocent most likely and is a victim of these scam artists. Every call I have received has a different number listed and it is always out of order or busy.
my auto warranty is about to expire
This has happened several times. Trying to find out who sold my number out. (thanks a lot!!) Not only this number but 9097599103 2036374783 9096509100 4045370417 8125349131. They all come to my unlisted cell phone and it is the same thing. Warranty scam.
I'm tired of these cretins calling!
Called my cell that is used stricty for business calls. I get these calls all the time!
I have had it!
I have received more than one call on my cell from 509-935-0671. After doing some research, I came up with..Angie Pipton in Chewelah, WA in Stevens County. I do get her street address and age too. When you call back you either get a busy (off the hook) signal or a recording saying the number was dialed incorrectly. I think it is one of those "car warrenty" scams
This is a Collection Agency they are extremly rude.
Their company name is ER Solutions they are in Washington State
They are using a few different numbers and excuses for their contact.
The numbers they are using are as follows.
and 206 area code number that I will update later.
They try calling me on my cell and voice mail numbers 2-4 times from each number they use every day.
I added them to my address book and gave them the fart ring tone so I do not answer it.
Call rang through @ 20:21; didn't answer; googled number; angie tipton id'd
This number called my cell twice within an hour on 4/28. It left a message once about my warranty on my vehicle expiring. I never give out my cell to any company, so it's quite annoying. It's even more annoying that my car is 10 years old and any warranty would have expired years ago. www.consumeraffairs.com
This is beyond being out of control. I am getting calls, 4 or more per day, on my work phone as well as my personal cell phone from these warranty freaks! They come from so many different numbers.... both numbers are registered on the Do Not Call List too, and from what I've read, most numbers they call are. How/why is this company still allowed to do this after so much time?
This number and another number calls me with the same recorded message telling me about my car's warranty about to expire. This is totally stupid being that it doesn't apply to my situation. My daughter got that call as well from the same two numbers. Each call is now saying that it is my second warning. Ummm ... It would be more like my 20th or more call not just the second warning.
How do I get off this list of stupidity? Driving me insane. Worse is that it is a work phone and I am in charge of this department.
on my cell
another automated msg calling my work number. caller id shows Tipton Angie.
They call me every freaking day as well, from a different number (incl. area code). Always says this is the second alert that some auto warranty is about to expire. Has been going on for maybe a month now...
They call from a different # every single day. Never leave message.
One other number they call from is 202-495-7124
get calls from this Warranty alert both on our cell phone and landline every week, sometimes few times a day.
don't even bother looking for a address or a persons name its a waste of time!!!!i have noticed a pattern that every other day when i get a call about the "warranty" they are calling from a different number...it would be nice if the government stepped in and prosucted these people... and i got a call from another number it was a guy said my application for a car loan was approved and i asked him what company he was with said don't remeber that loan agency because i had been trying to get approved for a car loan at the dealerships then he asked for my social security number thats when i hung up! i think dealerships and other business's might be selling are info!
Called my cell, didn't answer. Called back and got a message that the number was disconnected. It's obviously not a message from a "real" phone operator... Hmmm... someone has to know how to shut these people down. I'm going to contact our local news team and see if they can't do some investigating. *grin* They love that stuff! LOL
Several annoying calls from this number. Automated message saying something about this being a second notice that my warranty was about to expire. reverse lookup traces this to number to jenna Jimerson in Mequite, NV.
calling about car warranty. also fifteen minutes earlier got a call from 310-599-9100 for the same thing.
This came to my cell phone. I will no longer answer numbers that are not in my phone. Received my call on Apr 17th at 6:40 and 6:55 pm
missed the call-tried to text it back cause i thought it was my cousin in GA, but i got an error saying the number didnt exist...jerks.
these ppl call me and wast my min. this pisses me off because they say they willnt call back but they do!!! i've gotten up wwierds to 8 calls a day the r getting harassing and im getting a layor
Are these peaple that dumb or bored. It's just not right. Report this problem right away
This number called me twice today, didn't answer either time, no message. Don't they get it--no one is going to give them the time of day if they hassle people on their mobile phones. Come to think if it, they won't get anywhere calling people at home either. I'm a marketer and I think telemarketing is evil. It's the one thing left that pushes messages out at you against your will--not a great way to build a business or brand relationship!
No, they're a scam, call the FTC. They have a website for complaints like fraud:
I've taken to posting the following message in an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. This is apparently the company that is calling all of us. I figure we should inundate their inbox, like the do our phones.
I have just found out that you are the company responsible for the calls I have been getting on my cell phone every day. I am being informed that my factory warranty is about to expire. I don't have a car. I don't have anything with a warranty. I want to be removed from your list as do a whole lot of other people. I've decided to join them in inundating your inbox. You can tell me how you like it.
A Very Angry NOT customer.
If this doesn't work, I might start calling them twice a day, saying "You Suck", and hanging up the phone. Eventually, they'll get the point. I encourage you all to do the same. Their number is on their website www.royaladmin.com. They are located in Hanover, MA. I've considered paying them a visit.
i called this number back and just got a fast busy signal, so I'm assuming its a tele-marketer.
I got two calls on 4-20-09 and multiples before
keeps calling me also
i got the same at 2:14 pm in PA
Jenna Jimerson called me too. I was hoping it was a typo and it was Jenna Jameson.
called my cell and left no message 4-20-19 @ 12:28pm. I live in Green Bay, WI. How did they get my number?
called my cell phone. left no message. reverse directory lists number as jenna jimerson of mesquite, nevada outside of vegas. no address listed po box only.
oh, i forgot! if i don't answer the call, it goes to *** voice mail!
have received numerous recorded messages from this number. i have responded by pressing 7 to take my name off the call list. i have tried pressing 1 to talk to someone, and get another recorded message about the car warranty. this is happening on my cell phone, for a total of 9:30 minutes!!! i try to call the number back and get a recorded "disconnect notice" similar to the one the phone company uses. am sick of this!!!!
This number showed up on my cellphone also.
this person keeps calling and calling you would think that they would just give up but no. I ain't never going to answer the phone. Maybe one day they will get the point. I wish ya'll luck getting off the calling list or whatever they have lil bit
Don't call back, this scam will charge $14.99 per minute on your phone bill.
i have gotten 5 different calls from this stupid auto warranty thing. I'm 12!!! I dont own a car!!!!
annoying. got called on my cellphone many many times
Long story short: same comments as below, plus
Today's call was 8 days after the last one which was 5 in 3 months and on 3 of previous 4 calls, I asked to talk to a supervisor. Twice I was hung up on. Once I was transferred and calmly reminded the lady that I was on do not call list and they had been informed of this already. Of course she apologized and said she'd take care of it.
With today's call, it was also Shawn and when I asked for supervisor he hung up. I immediately did a call back of the number and got recording that the number had been disconnected. I called couple of times again 10 minutes later and got busy signals. One more call received the disconnected message again. An hour later it was answered on first ring: My first words were "please don't hang up like the last person did and by the way, this is being monitored on this end also". I asked for supervisor - the lady who answered said she was a floor supervisor - I relayed all of the above plus "Shawn"s poor customer service conduct.
I got the same old apology and comment that it would be taken care of.
Well, guess what folks. This lady said she was in California. That 702 area code is Las Vegas, and we all know that Las Vegas is infamous for boiler room call centers. I informed her that it was illegal to mask callings they way they are doing and as a former federal employee I do have an "in" at the FCC and if they dared calling me again I would send all my documentation to the my FCC enforcement contact.
Girl said her name was Melissa, we asked her to stop calling, this being one of many calls regarding our "warranty". Our friends said they were getting these calls also., Ours is a cell number, how did they get this number? How can we report them or stop the calls?
Talked to the first person, made up some info, they told me "Warranty Solutions"... got transfered to a "Senior Specialist" who told me that this would be a product serviced by "royaladmin.com"... Once I revealed that I was not interested in purchasing the product, and asked to get off their call list they guy said "Good Luck Man"...
I contacted Royal Solutions - Their Legal Dept says they aren't responsible for the agents calling because they are just the "service provider"... At any rate, at least this is one of the companies paying money for this crap.
Call Royal Admin yourself - 1-800-871-0467 or send an e-mail email@example.com.
i didn't answer but some guy named Shawn left me a message..... weird.
I picked up the phone and waited for somebody to say something, but it was just silence.
I responded to their phone message by pressing 1 and waited for the connection to a real person. It was some you guy named Shawn who started talking at 100 miles/hr, asking questions about the make and model of my car. I interrupted him and asked who they were. He said "Warranty Solutions". I then asked, "How'd you get my number?" He hung up!
Dont just let them speak.....mess with them like I do. I asked him when my warranty ran out on my 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass. Act Panicked. Or, Use Soundboards from the internet and answer your phone as a celebrity. I answered my phone as Jack Nicholson. Funny as hell. He hung up after only 15 seconds. Heres the latest number to call me. Jenna Jimerson (702) 346-2420 Mesquite, NV 89024
Got this call on my cell phone; how did they get my number?
Other numbers that dont respond are...
Auto warranty stuff
they call my house and my minor childrens cell phones even though on the do not call list
when pressed one to speak to rep, they hung up on me when i informed them they were contacting my minor childs phone who is on the do not call list
calling about extending our car warrenty (my son is 14 and does not own a car)
auto warranty expiring... sounds like a scam
They call 2 or 3 times a week and I pressed two a couple times to stop the call, then I pressed one to talk to a real person. Everytime I ask them to not call me and they say they put me on the do not call list and hang up. As I'm reading through the comments, I can see I'm not the only one who is angry. I signed up for the national do not call list a few days ago and haven't heard anything since. They always had an American/New England Accent so I can't help but think a branch of this scam is close to MA.
They better hope to god I don't find out where they work.
How many complaints have to be filed against them before they quit?
Called on my cell. My cell is unlisted and private. Don't know how they got it. It's the car warranty scam that keeps circulating.
call from this number on 4/8/2009 -
I've been getting those same calls. I've tried pressing 2 to be removed once or twice. Three other times I've pressed 1 to speak to someone. The first time, I got someone to answer, and before I could finish saying "take me off your list," they hung up on me. The second time, I never got through to anyone, and was disconnected by the system after 20 minutes. The third time, I got an answer, started off acting like I wanted to buy what they were selling. Once I had verified the caller's name and company, I told him to take me off the list. He said he would, but I have still received one or two calls since.
I'm considering sending them a certified letter threatening to sue under the TCPA. Don't have the name of the company on me right now (sorry). They've also called from 402-982-0464.
area code 266 is in another country, india i think
just called my phone, i did not answer
no message left
They called my CELL phone, 266 I didn't even see as a valid Area code?
They told me my warranty on my car has expired. I do not own a car. My sister receives the same phone calls. She owns a car. The area code 266 does not exist.
this number just called me 10 mins ago! and also didnt leave a voicemail!
Received call from this number. I hung up.
This number continues to call my cell phone, how do I stop this?
just keep filing with fcc/ftc till something gets done.
Yep, do it
I have been getting these calls from various 800 and other numbers for several months. When I pressed 1 to talk to a live person and asked who the company was, he hung up.
I filed complaint with Indiana attorney general since these calls are autodialed to my cell phone, which is against the law.
I GET THESE CALLS BOTH ON MY BUSINESS SELL PHONE. WHEN I ASK QUESTIONS, THE CALLER HANGS UP. THESE ARE QUESTIONS LIKE "WHICH CAR? I HAVE THREE.""
Call from Warranty Solutions calling to sell me a car warranty on cars they have no information about. Called with an auto-dialer to a cell phone, indicating that they are fraudulent and criminal. "Shelia" refused to provide phone number or address, stating that they do not do business with people face to face and do not accept phone calls. She also refused to allow me to speak with a supervisor.
This is a scam. Any legitimate warranty organization will have your vehicle information to begin with, and will not call cell phones (unless you have asked them to call you on that number) and will not call with an autodialer. also, any legitimate organization will gladly provide you with their street address and phone number when you ask, without having to be information that it is illegal for them not to provide that information.
Okay they are Warranty Solutions and the number to call to get taken off of the call list is 800-376-5644
This company has been calling me every one or two weeks for months and leaving automated messages on my voice mail saying my car warranty has expired -- I don't own a car. Under my cell phone plan, I have to pay a fee everytime I access voice mail. I finally took one of their calls today and the woman said the firm is called 'Warranty Solutions' and is located in Atlanta, GA. I tried googling that and nothing comes up.
I didn't answer, but I suspect it's another extended car warranty solicitation. I get those every now and then. I also get them from a 973-779-3178 number as well. I never answer my phone when its a number I don't recognize, unless I'm expecting the call.
Extended factory car warranty SCAM! Keep calling my cell phone, refuse to stop calling. DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE! Whata bunch of A-holes!!!!
I keep getting calls from these people, despite the fact that I don't have a car. I have repeatedly asked them to remove me from their call list, but they continue to call me. It is horrible.
I got this call and I answered. I listened to the message and it said that you could press 1 to talk to a representative. The representative asked for my name and make and model of my car. I told them my name. But I refused to give them the make and model of my car. I said, "Actually, you tell me since you called me." The sales person immediately asked if I wanted to be taken off the call list and I said yes. I knew that it was a scam once they wanted MY information. When my Geico rep calls me, she tells me the information about me on file, I don't tell her.
I RECEIVED A CALL FROM 402-982-0602 SAYING MY CAR WARRANTEE NEEDS TO BE EXTENDED (SCAM:I DONT HAVE A CAR WARRANTEE & MY CAR'S TOO OLD TO NEED ONE) & THEN I GOT A CALL FROM 401-762-4302, I DIDN'T ANSWER, THE MESSAGE THEY LEFT WAS JUST 3 SECONDS OF MUSICAL NOTES.
Called my cell phone and saying my warranty is about to expire on my car(((
They called twice, and I missed the call. Thinking it might be something important I called back only to get a busy signal.
i'm just thankful it isn't a hungover coworker ripping me from the beautiful freedom of my day off
These guys called me twice today. What the hell, I don't even own a car!!!!! When I asked how they got my number, they hung up! It's a total scam!!!!
I have received multiple calls from this number. Sometimes there's a message about some car warranty or no message at all. The messgae is detailed in the sense that I have to call back "asap" because this is the last warning...I DON'T EVEN HAVE A CAR!! what is their deal...is the scam only a success if you call them back and give them your info....i don't bother...
Okay - can somebody catch these people and throw them in the alligator pond before I do it myself?
Warranty message that continues to call with automatic message even after being told to stop
How can we get them to stop calling us. I listen to the message and press the correct number like it syas and then it disconnects. When you try to call the number back its alwyas busy.
They need to stop callin my freakin phone... ts getting annoying.... How do report them?
I've been getting them too. But I sis find something to do about it. Just read this article on msnbc www.msnbc.msn.com on th elast page of the story there is a link to the Federal Trade Commission. Report them! If enough people report it, then the Government can bring a lawsuit.here is the final paragraph from the article....
"If you are the recipient of one of these sales calls, file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.
The government has the power to sue these companies, fine them, and make them stop any misleading sales
Called my cell phone. There is NO TRUTH to the rumors that calling cell phones will become legal. In fact calling your cell phone is ALWAYS AGAINST THE LAW!
Calls from these numbers are the same scammers:
704 824 1398
802 763 2141
702 520 1477
Here's their real addresses
Automotive Warranty Solutions
6501 Congress Ave Ste. 140
Boca Raton, FL 33487
3344 Mid Rivers Mall Dr.
St Peters, MO 63376
KEEP A LOG OF WHEN THEY CALL AND FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE FTC:
Rung cell phone at 10.27 ayem local time. As it's a number I don't know or recognise, I hit IGNORE.
they called me on my cell! grrr. I don't like spam calls on my cell
Woke me up, too - How to make it stop is the question.......
Wireless call; They never leave a message.
They just woke me up too...but about half an hour before that I got call from another scam...This is ridiculous. I'm so tired of getting these calls. It's so annoying.
They just called - did not leave a message - Dayton, OH
this is the 30th time no joke they have called me saying my warranty is about to expire on my car, funny thing is i never had a warranty and i never bought it brand new. they left a message on my voice mail as i told them to go FK themselves and went to the police. today they went to far. They just don't know who they are calling because i will keep going to the police until this is stopped.
Call was to my cell phone. No message. Second time that the cell phone was called. I have stopped counting all the landline calls. This is getting very old....and increasingly annoying...
They called us, but we don't even own a car.
They call and I don't answer. I call back and phone is disconnected
I don't know who this is but they keep calling me. How do you make it stop?
This link whocalled.us talks about the same people.
It is some warranty scam. I've actually talked to the people and asked repeatedly to have my number taken off the list, but apparently not.
The link above has information (if it is accurate, the phone numbers to the company no longer work) for the company.
I recently bought a 2008 car (used) so I am guessing that they bought some kind of list of people that recently purchased a new car.
!Numerous harassing calls to cell. How do you get them to stop?
These people have been calling me on and off for about 2 months on my cell phone. I hang up as soon as I hear "Your warrantee"
I am on the "Do not call" list, but that doesn't stop the calls.
How does one stop the calls?
I don't even own a car. Why doesn't the FCC do something about this?
called on a saturday caught by my answer service left no message
I received this call on my cell phone, which is a number I have NEVER given out to anyone other than family. It is illegal to make telemarketing calls to a cell phone unless the company has had any business relationship with you (sales (internet/mail order/brick and mortar store), auto repair, home repair/improvement, ... [or you gave them your cell phone number]). It doesn't matter if your number is on a "no call list" or not.
Want to get back at them? Do like I did! I've reported this to the FCC. And if you receive this type of call on your cell phone, you should too!
They just woke me up.. I didn't answer but I googled and found this site. Fuckers.
Got a Call From this Number and now it's saying it's been disconected I traced the call it is registered under amie Beals and I think it is being used as a fraud of some sort!
I tried calling this number back, and it doesn't even ring. It just connects and a second later the call ends. This is so annoying. How is it even legal to make out cell numbers public??!!
Car's warranty is expiring!
They don't say what car they're discussing or have any of my information before I give it to them to "look it up."
Hang up, you've got car insurance :)
File a complaint with the FCC. If they get a lot of complaints from the same number they may go after these people.
Go to www.fcc.gov
On the left side go to forms
Scroll down to form 1088 and file the report. "Electronic Filing"
They called my cell phone today but didn't leave a message. I see it's the new car warranty scammers at it again.
Why...Why do they call all the time?
I see here it's the warranty scammers again wasting my prepaid minutes. HANG THEM FROM THE TELEPHONE POLE! KILL THEM ALL!!!
My minor aged daughter received a call to her cell phone. She didn't answer and asked if I knew who this is. I'm not amused.
Another spammer. How is this LEGAL?
This is the second warning, your vehicle warranty is about to expire. I am sick of these calls, I am getting two and three a day
Called back got nothing. Busy signal!
Called number back it was busy
called number back. It was temporarily disconnected. Left no message.
These guys call my unlisted cell a few times a week from different spoofed numbers.
733-753-0974 is the other, I've added them to my phone contacts under "awesome"
The phone company did not sell your number, the marketers use war-dialing type software and get your number by chance.
You're also barking up the wrong tree going after the owner of the number on your caller ID, Richard Fanning in this case, the number is being spoofed. Poor guy.
Check out the address and link Jack posted below, harass VP Marketing.
These people obviously make money and will not go away until it stops flowing. If you are stupid enough to fall for this scam, how the hell can you afford a phone, let alone get a license, a car and new warranty? Scarey. Drivers tests clearly need to be more difficult and phone companies should require an IQ of 60 or higher for customers.
Automated message saying "your car warranty is about to expire." I get a lot of this message, from different numbers.
companies getting desperate and sinking to lower levels of advertising in these trying times. time to google earth some shit. however i think these calls are all coming from one place, the marketers are under assumed names, the addresses, while they may be real, are not the locations of the calls.
The company making these calls is:
1820 Water Place Pkwy
Atlanta GA 30339
As proof, here is the first ever media report exposing these crooks! From Fox 5 Atlanta - WAGA, a 6 minute new video that confirms everything:
I just got a call from this number on my new cell phone that I've only had for 4 days. How did they get my number? I don't own a car, so why are they calling me? Is there anywhere to report this person or company and get them to stop doing this?
received call from this number on my cell phone- it appears to be a car warranty scam of some kind
I have recieved multiple calls from this company, and I just bought a new car. SO I thought it had something to do with it. However I attempted to talk to someone and the phone jsut rang over and over. I want to find out who this is and complain to the BBB.
i think it's odd that i also got a call from this number, re: a car warranty, and i don't even OWN a car
anyone live near Idaho? drive up to Kellogg and beat the hell out of this guy!
How can this guy obtain unlisted cell phone numbers!
Gee...I guess the warranty on my 1994 Honda will soon be up. I'd better hurry up and sign up for an extended warranty for my 15 year old car with some jackass over the phone. I sure would not want to work with my local car repair shop or a reputable dealership to extend a warranty that expired 12 years ago! I guess the thing that frustrates me is that there are people out there that actually fall for scams like this.
Sick and tired of these calls. Very unprofessional!!! There are several different numbers that show up, this one and one from Nebraska. Very inconsiderate and sorry way of trying to do business!!! Cowards!!!
I wouldn't doubt that this guy is a creeper. i got a call from him and unfortunately was involved in some stuff a while ago which a guy with his name and age. its very creepy. someone needs to call the police in his town and figure this out.
I have not given my number to anyone that is not family, why is the phone company selling our numbers to telemarketers and spending OUR minutes on the phone. I do not purchase things over my cell to anyone I dont know. At least twice a week my minutes are being used by phone scams. The telepnone companies need to stop selling our numbers to these people.
I am really careful about who I give my number out to, seeing that I am under the age of 15. So it very strange that I keep on getting these calls. Someone really has to investigate this because it is very creepy. Also, my warranty hasn't expired becuase I don't have a car! And I've tried calling the number but it gets cut off. I guess the best thing to do is report it.
I got a call on my cell and at my house. I just moved last week and no one has my home number. how did richard fanning know my home and my cell if my best friends don't know it as its new? this is really creepy. call today 3/24/09.
The local police need to investigate this person. H is calling young people and frightening them. The local police need to do something before its to late.
Richard Fanning (208) 783-0733 446 Railroad Ave, Kellogg, ID 83837
Several students have been receiving phone calls from this phone number. They are unwanted.
I keep getting the call on my cell phone, I never answer and there is never a message. I did a reverse phone number look up and came up with Richard Fanning
Did not answer this call but appears to be a fraudulent enterprise. Active as of March 24, 2009. Should be investigated by federal authorities as well as local law enforcement. 208 783 0733
With Mr. Fanning's name and address, and number, the Kellogg police should be able to stop this if they receive enough complaints and filed reports of phone harassment. This will take a lot of people needing to call the department (208) 784-1131 and asking to file a report, get a report number, and call to follow up with finding out what actions are being taken. The information needed to file a report is time and date of call, and Mr. Fanning's info is: Richard Fanning (208) 783-0733 446 Railroad Ave, Kellogg, ID 83837
Reports work best to stop this when they are from multiple sources who have been called multiple times. Also, police will try to put this off on you needing to communicate with FCC instead of them but I have spoken with cell phone companies and it IS within the scope of police duties to report and follow up on harassing calls. Good luck!
208-783-0733 left no message on 3-23-2009. I don't answer out of area code numbers I don't know.
I got a recorded message about expiring warranty on my vehicle. I waited for someone to answer and ask her witch vehicle she was refering too. I was hung up on.
this person is a piece of shit. hopefully they/anyone associated with this kills themselves immediately!
cost me long distance on my cell in hawaii
on the no call list and these guys called our home phone and called our cell
They called my Co-Worker I think Richard Fanning has a crush on him.
left no message
Unsolicited voice spam about car warranty expiring. Called an unlisted cell phone number that has never been given to anyone. Pure criminal fraud.
found this site on doing a search on the number and richard fanning name. haven't bothered to try calling the number. send the fbi in to investigate.
This is a FRAUDULENT number!
I'm not sure who's placing these calls, but you never get a ring tone when the number is dialed. It automatically cuts off.
208-783-0733 left no message
Got a call from this number for the 3rd time. Left no message. Googled it to see what it was.... I get at least 2 calls a week at the store I work at from this number too!!!
Buy a whistle and when a person comes on blow the hell out of their ear drums!!!!!!!!!
fraud!!! they have called over and over~!!!!
I have got a 100 calls till now and the recorded message keeps telling 'this is the second notice of factory warranty expiry' on my car. This is very very annoying. whoever it is, they knew what sort of response they will receive from irritated guys like me. Thats why they are hiding behind a recorded message. This whole recorded message marketing nonsense should to be banned and these anonymous callers should be charged a dollar for every marketing call they make...!!!
they just called my phone and I did not answer but google directory has this info for that number.
Richard Fanning (208) 783-0733 446 Railroad Ave,Kellogg, ID 83837

They called me today. I missed the call. Called back received only busy signal
called on March 24th 2009 on my cell and left no message.

208-783-0733 left no message
Just got a call and since I'm from Nebraska I knew this was out of state and I screen my calls. I googled the area code found out it was from IDAHO and then googled the number and got Richard Fanning...wtf? No message left.
Check to see if you are registered with the national do not call registry. www.donotcall.gov
Just got a call from this number @ my office. The message was in spanish...LOL I don't speak a word of spanish, so I came on here to find out who the crap it was. Time & Date of call: 10:26 AM 3/24/09
They need to leave Mikey alone.
caller hung up upon my husband answering - called back and received busy signal - spam call - we both received calls on our cell phones
I suspect these calls are a charge-off collector's india based farmed out nuisance caller boiler-room which is set up simply to annoy people who's charge-offs are lawfully un-collectable when their past the statute of limitations. Again, I'm guessing this's actually traceable back to Global Vantage, aka AACC, and they're fishing to try and find out if the unlisted cell numbers are ours.
Didn't pick up
Got a missed call from this number on my work cell phone.
Received a call from this number A.K.A.Richard Fanning on my work phone AND my cell phone. Call back and busy signal.
Sounds familiar; POS scammers!
I received a missed call from this number, and when I called it back, there was a busy signal.
Googled the number and got the ID as "Richard Fanning". Didn't pick up but got 2 calls in a row. Mikey said it; those car warranty calls are a pain in the ass.
No one said anything when I answered.
These people suck dick they keep fucking calling about my car warranty, I don't even own a fucking car.
Unidentified Warranty Services (scammers)
I have wasted my day investigating these crooks. This exact same recording comes every day on my cell phone from all kinds of long distance area codes and 800 numbers across the nation. Here is what I have found: Telemarketing calls to cell phones are against the law. Period. Do not call lists will not help because these idiots are breaking the law anyway and know it. They don't care. They are "shotgun dialing" thru VOIP smokescreens, to numbers created at random, without regard or care for any list. They hide behind fake recordings when you call back to chew some ass. All telemarketers are required by law to tell you up front that they are selling something and who they represent. No recorded calls to cell phones allowed, by law, period. How does it make you feel to know that these crooks are bothering you every day, knowing full well that they are breaking the law, not caring at all, and getting away with it? I have called the FCC and FTC and filed complaints. They said they hear this all the time from people just like me. I asked why this nuisance has been allowed to continue for over a year. They had no answer. The only answer is to wring a business or company name out of the guy you get when you press 1, then file a lawsuit against that company.
called about warranty service. My wife and I are getting repeated calls. they must be using a sequential autodialer that tracks which cell phone numbers go through.
I imagine they will be selling those cell numbers for other scams.
These scum bags should change their speel to " This is your one hundred and eighty thousandth notification about your auto maintainance." The asses need to be stopped. How much does it cost Americans in cell phone charges to answer these stupic calls/
Here's the link to FCC complaint form: esupport.fcc.gov Report the scammers.
THESE RELENTLESS TWATS KEEP CALLING ME!!! i like the police whistle thing, if I wasnt lazy i would buy one
i got this number 15 times one day within 2 min of activation of a new TRAC phone.. I think TRAC is involved somehow.
trying to sell warranty because mine is running out. duh like 30 yrs ago.
all from NAples FLA or atlanta.. not rocket science.
a hint here, carry a police whistle, if they call, blow hard. works for me the calling stopped..
This number called me yesterday and today. How can stop it?
relentless. this needs to end
Obnoxious caller; on my cellular line.
FYI, I have T-Mobile and we have begun receiving these messages. It doesn't matter what carrier you have. All these scammers need is an autodialer and Voice Over IP and they can start blasting out phone calls to any phone numbers that they want. And since they're usually overseas, the Do Not Call registry and the FTC are totally useless. Isn't "globalization" great?!
Bother! Got this on highway.
I am so tired of these calls
I have gotten a call from these jokers many many times and every time is with a different Phone Number. It is very annoying and I wish these people would stop. It is always on my Cell Phone too.
I recently have been receiving phone calls from this number, never finding out who is calling or why other than warranty renewal. This number belonged to my recently deceased father, and I believe they are trying to steal his identity through the vehicle records. They should be found and punished.
In case you get someone hooked, have the following information ready:
- the first four (4) digits of a VISA/MC, with the next 12 numbers being random (they have ways to determine that the credit card number is not real, based on the first four digits, I believe);
- have a FAKE VIN number(s) for each of the vehicles you want to insure (ie: your riding lawn mower; Caterpillar bulldozer; etc)
- fake Name/Address/Phone Number, but this goes without saying...
This was so much fun, I think I'm going to try it again later, but call from a different "state", not Missouri...
Called the following number --> 866 338 7877:
- spoke to a pleasant gentleman named "Warren" who informed me that they "...can not provide extended car warranties for residents of the state of Missouri, where they are based...";
- his explanation was that if a customer became "unhappy" with their agreement and decided to go "postal ", well, you can understand that they would not want to be in the same area;
So, he was not able to provide extended insurance for my 8 cars as I am a "car collector", but he would make some calls and try to get me some other information:
- if that didn't work, best bet would be to continue to "shop-around" for other coverage
Call ended pleasantly enough, but man...I was disappointed! ;-)
FAKE INFO GIVEN:
- Name: James Frederick Hines...but all my friends call me "Fred"...
- Address: 745 Friedens Road
St. Charles, MO 63303
- Fake Phone Number: 636 757 7501
*NOTE* If this info looks familiar, it happens to be the same address as --> Federal Auto Protection Notification Center ;-)
Oh, and a caveat, in case you're looking to talk to these people...I made this call from work in a callcenter, and they were able to determine that I was calling *FROM* work:
- I had to quickly make up some story about travelling right now, but I *LIVE* in Missouri... *whew*
Because I did not recognize the number, I let it ring, go into Missed Calls.
My experience with these callers is if you do not answer the call, they do not leave messages.
Then I Google the number, if Spam, I record it under New Contact as Spam.
cameo.livejournal.com makes some great connections about these people.
Somebody stop these pricks! Now they're targeting cell phones and wasting our money!
I am tired of this shit happening on my cell phone is there some way I can stop it short of throwing my cell away?
These people have been calling me for weeks. I found this site and the discussion useful but how do I get them to stop?
I try to stay on the line especially when they call from the 800 number cost them money with me holding. I have asked to be placed on the "do not call" list. The calls continue! I don't believe they know anything about me other than my phone numbers, it's my mobile and not too annoying. I will try the Federal Do Not Call registry. In the mean time, DO NOT divulge any personal information to these scum.
I recived a call from this number but when I answered they hungup... called back and got a message saying this number is not in service but it was clearly not the one a telephone company uses.
Company name: Vehicle Services, Inc. - Vehicle Services Inc., of St. Peters, MO. - Website: vsiwarranty.com - they called my cell phone several times - 1st time, I asked who it was and they hung up. After several more, I pretended to be interested, then when they asked for a $2000 payment, they told me their company name. Info from MO Attorney General's office: ago.mo.gov
Jacob was the "floor supervisor" for this call center. He would not give me his phone number or address but said he could give me a warranty for my car. He did say he was in Atlanta, GA. I gave him fake information to get to the warranty specialist.
That company is called "Vehicle Service Inc." out of St Peter, Missouri
their phone number is 866-925-1783 or 866-315-1555
Demand that they have your name removed from the call list or commit to call this company and annoy them the way their telemarketer continues to annoy us! "Butch Jones" is the supervisor there...
If you ask me its more of a scam when the dealership makes 40o percent profit off of fixing your car!!! I wouldnt go a day without a warranty!!!!
warranty service don't answer. scam
You all are officially morons.. does anyone realize that there are over 200 registered warranty companies?? and there are over 1000 different marketing compaines who work for these companies!!! You are all a bunch of sheep!!! One person crys scam and then the rest of you do.. One person says a company that the calls are coming from and then the rest of you agree.. all without finding out for yourself!!! This so called vehicle services you are speaking of last seems to have resolved all of there 36 complaints they have had to the bbb in the last 5 years?????????? How is possible a company can be open for 5 years and still be a scam???? How would the company be a scam yet be able to resolve the complaints against them???? HERE SHEEP SHEEP SHEEP Time for some new dinner!!!! Its just on the other side of that cliff!!! Go and get it!!!! How about you people stop being retarded and do some research beyond what the last guy said!!!! I swear the stupid people just wont stop breeding!!!! And just so you know the 1-800-219-7425 number is to a marketing company that after investigating MYSELF, seems to outsource their leads to over 75 different warranty companies alone!!!! So instead of all trying to gang up on one company do some research you stupid people!!!!!
This is SCAM:
Waited on the line for the rep., after the automated message.
They have no idea if you have a car or not,
and of any details.
The lady a I spoke with refused to provide any details of
her company, or how to call her back, and just claimed this
is the 'warranty help desk'.
After asking her few more questions she hanged up.
By her voice, I believe it is the same lady that called before.
I have received 4 calls from this number over the last 3 months. It is an automated call system that claims to be selling extended warranties on vehicles. Requested each time that they remove my number but they have not.
this cocksucka have been calling for over a year. somebody arrest these low lifes

They left a voicemail on my phone for an extended auto warranty.
I bought a TRAC PHONE for the wife (10bucks) I had it exactly 3 min activated (10 min card) and these fucktards called ME!! WTF. not to waste any time on the cell, I called the PHONE company and file a formal complaint, then notified the NYstate Attorney General. they tell you your warranty is out,, HAHA my two cars are over 20 yrs fucking old! if you try and call them back, dont bother.. its a fucking scam alright and I know where they are. my next road trip will be down their to rip out some phone lines and fuck someone up.. I know who they are now.
called on cell phone! If this is a known scam, why are they still able to call????
REMOVE FROM SOLICITATION!
Call from 800-219-7425 about the car warranty. Very annoying.
This caller called in Jan 20th. It started out as a warranty service but now it is a sex line. I appreciate it if they never call again
No message. They've called before.
Getting tired of these scum, with their "second warning" that my warranty is ending. I don't even have a car. When I tell them, they cut me off, yet they call me at least once a week. Something needs to be done to stop trash like this from wasting my time and minutes.
They call my cell multiple times daily...
Car warranty scam call. Filed report with the FCC.
I thought it was illegal (FCC regs) to call cell phones with auto dialing systems? Well my cell phone gets called by this 1-800-219-7425 on a regular basis about a factory warranty running out on a car I bought less than a year ago. Not only are they morons, if anyone has the company information with people's names in the company, please post it here. I'm thinking lawsuit and jail time will stop them.
I recently got a loan from Wells Fargo Financial, first time I used my cell number now I've received two calls from this 800 number, I was too busy to answer but I'll be watching from now on.
Missed call to my cell phone; no name, no message
Auto Dialer / IVR connected to a woman's voice. The woman hung up when I asked her company name in a challenging manner. The stated purpose of the call was offer me extended auto warranty. I consider this a harassing call to my cell phone. I was never given the opportunity to request removal from their call list. The caller ID number (800)219-7425 does not except an incoming call to request removal. Please assist
Company calls repeatedly despite blocked number, leaves no voice mail, simply dead air, uses up my message center with calls that have no information nor ID.
They didn't leave me a voicemail. Anybody who receives a call from this number, especially on their cell phone, can file a complaint with the FCC by calling 1-888-225-5322, or online at esupport.fcc.gov It’s also a good idea to get your cell on the Do Not Call Registry. This can be done by calling 1-888-382-1222 from the phone you are registering, or it can be done online at www.fcc.gov

I have confirmed Wells Fargo has begun sharing customer info with these idiots. This group is actually AIG insurance calling with the fake numbers. I've closed all my Wells Fargo accounts as a result. Ive received countless calls trying to reduce my credit card rate, extend my car warranty, etc. I hate these ass holes.
Received this number on my cell phone caller ID. Did not answer it. Have received calls before and its always about an expiring warranty. Irritating as it uses up some of my set amount of monthly minutes. My cell phone is also through AT&T - did they sell a list of our numbers to this scam company? - maybe we should complain to them! This web site is really helpful, glad I found it.
Pressing two to be removed from the database does not work. Asking the rep to remove you does not work. Waiting to speak to a rep and then blasting a whistle in his or her ear may not work, but it sure feels good! I can't stop them from calling, but I can give them a splitting headache for their efforts.
i got a message....in my voice mail..saying.. this is the final call to close the file on your vehicle..press to 2 to follow up..
doesn't make any sense to me
If everyone call them once a day like your new customer but giving only fake info, make them loose money and see how they like it.
Received call today 01-16-09 but did not answer. It left no message just the # 800-219-7425. Called the number and a recording said the 800-219-7425 is a non-working number.
They call but never leave a msg its on my cellphone I a signed them there own ringer which in no ringer at all so now when they call my phone will not ring and I labeled them "Do Not Pick Up" They been calling this phone for months and my home line to but that's just for faxing there a pain in the ass when will they get the hint
I know this is a scam because I don't have a car!
Calls every day.need info to summons to court
I called back and the operator said the phone number is no longer in service.
Phone number does not work, hung up when I answered
No message left on voicemail.
call was for Auto Warranty Service. They would not give me the name of the company. The caller was very rude. I have played along a few times trying to get information, but when they sense this they hang up on you. They are using my cell phone minutes when they call
recording states that my warranty is about to expire on my vehicle i receive this call every twoo weeks even though I am on the do not call registry and if you call back or ask for a supervisor they hang up on you and u reach a recording that says the numbe risnt in service. UGGHHH
Have asked several they remove me, both through the automated menu option and waiting for the rep and telling him, still calling. I have read other reports that this is a scam operation, specifically targeting the elderly. If you are on the National Do Not Call list, you can file a complaint with the FTC here www.donotcall.gov Please do, it only takes a few seconds.
these people have called several times spamming my work cell. They obviously don't know what cars I own...
aggressive, vulgar person
AT&T Has admitted to me the selling of cell numbers.
Called prepaid cell, get a clue scum a person with a prepaid cell isn't worth scamming! Or maybe you lowlifes want the fifteen dollars in my bank account? This is the kind of crap that makes normal people snap and sooner or later yours is coming you bunch of bums.
B.S. Company and B.S. call! scam all over it!
WTF.....called me on my pre-paid cell phone....I didn't answer because no 800 or 866 numbers have MY number. Can someone tell me how to register a cell phone number?
Car warranty scam call
what is this warranty call any issue with this
I pressed one to speak to someone and I immediately told the guy to remove me from the call list and that I was sick of them calling me every day. He hung up on me so I tried calling the number back to only find out that it's a non-working number. I then registered on the do not call list at www.ftc.gov and called them to file a complaint. They told me that it's a scam and that they don't have a way to stop them from calling me. This is really ANNOYING!!!!!!
I have the truth about "Warranty Help Desk"
I will post all of their information in a while, so that those annoying calls can finally stop!
I have their address, REAL phone number, names of Owners, Managers & Supervisors!
I have their "script" that all of you people are most likely tired of hearing when you call them.
TRUST ME, i am an EX-EMPLOYEE of theirs. E-mail me @ WarrantyHelpDesk@yahoo.com for more info.
I will post actual scan images of their script incase people doubt me.
- The Truth About Warranty Help Desk
The caller is an absolute nuisance. I would not extend my car warranty with this lot, or have anything with them.
it was niggers calling to see if i was home. i'm in los angeles alot of burgularies recently.
Didn't answer, called back, broken service.
My 11 year-old son gets calls daily from this number. Recorded message is "this is your last notice- your warranty is about to expire" or something to that effect. Like Casey, this is an AT&T prepaid phone, so especially disconcerting. Has anyone succeeded in stopping these calls?
Called and when I answered they hung up.
Miss the call, and picked it up twice asking about a car and im 15 so yea.. and you cant call back because its been "disconnected" 3 minutes after you call them and then they call you later in the day so yea idk im not picking it up again and i dont know how they got my number cause i got this phone less than a month ago. weird
I have no idea why I'm getting these calls. I don't even have a car, and I only use my cell phone, which I have listed on the Do Not Call Registry. Why aren't they being blocked? I only get an automated message; no live person, so I can't even tell them I don't have a car!
it said: ... was a second notification that my car warranty was to expire ...
18002177425 - junk fone calls machine; bastards are running a car warranty scam. Can't seem to convince them to put my number on their do not call list. Telemarketers, who needs em?! These pricks call at 1AM Pacific, I'd like to SUE!
got this call and wanted to check this trusty site to see if others got calleby it also. happened today at 1pm.
and to gus, if they call your cell alot you can block numbors just leve a " ,&space " between numbers on the "security" then "restrict calls". the names on teh menues may be different on various cellular models and cellular companies.
They called and left a message on my cell phone. It's the car warranty scam that has been calling my home phone.
No message was left. I called the number and got a recording that the number was not in service.
1-3-2009 10:49 am Received a call from this number, I did not answer it and no message was left.
Way to go Jack, I'm impressed you tracked these yahoos down so well! I've been getting both the 'credit card debt relief' & 'auto warranty' calls for about 10 mohths both at home, work and now on my cell. Talk about going nuts. I've had a hell of a time tracking these losers down. I've tried holding to talk to someone & they just hang up, I've tried all I know to figure out who they are so I REALLY am impressed you found out so much about them. I'm going to do all I can do to shut them down in Texas. We use Vonage at home & work and I can get the history of all the calls.
This is how it's done folks, stop whining, figure it out & fight back. The DNC list is a joke and the numbers that show on caller ID are spoofed- you have to figure this stuff out for yourselves & this sight is the first step. Follow Jack's advice, be pro-actve and stop being a victim and we can shut these lick-knobs down. It will be temporary, but if we stick to it this crap will slow down a lot.
Rule of thumb: if someone calls you to sell something- ignore them, be wary. If you do not receognoze the number or it ios NOT local don't answer (if no message is left it's no one you know and not important & maybe they will eventually go away, once you answer you confirm they have a good number & you will continue to get calls)
Reduce the inconvenience of these calls on some phones:
If you have a phone with capability to create/select your ring-tones, you can minimize the inconvenience of these repeating spam calls...
Set up these phone numbers in your phone book. Associate a distinctive ring-tone with each number, one that does NOT play for legitimate incoming calls. Or you may make your own ring-tone that consists of NO noise...a silent ring-tone.
This way when a call comes from one of these spam numbers the distinctive ring-tone plays and you know to ignore the call, or if you set up a "silent" ring-tone, in effect your phone doesn't "ring".
I created a silent ring-tone for each known scam number. Now when they call my phone I'm not bothered by "ringing".
Not quite the same as "call blocking" but it's the next best thing.
Note: you may have to change the numbers from time to time as these companies may have multiple "spoof" callerID phone numbers, or may change them from time to time. There is an easily obtained electronic device that lets a caller create fake callerID info and that is probably what these companies are using. For example, using this callerID spoofing device they could make an incoming phone call show up in your phone display as actually coming from YOUR own phone if they wanted to. Evil people.
All auto warranties sold via cold-calls over the telephone are scams.
this number call my cellphone but they also didnt left a message.
I might have found a solution.
I've been getting the warranty call. my only new-ish car is a Toyota i bought a few years back.
i called the Toyota "Customer Experience Center". 1 800-331-4331 (option 5)
I told them about the repeated calls and that this reflected badly on my Toyota experience.
The girl was quite pleasant and very apologetic.
She opened a case, and said that i will be removed from all marketing lists.
Apparently, in this case, Toyota has contracted with this company and has some degree of control over the lists.
It remains to be seen if this will actually stop the calls, but I encourage everyone to contact your vehicle manufacture about this issue.
They hired this firm, they need to be responsible for it's actions.
seems to be the same scam as from number 215-579-1035
scam for fake car warranty
this number keeps calling but i just downt answer. i wish i had a blocker or something
Called today12/29/o8 and a few days before Christmas .
I did't answer .
Most of time if I do not recognize a call or am not expecting one I will not answer .
I have a cell phone and do not want to waste time on non sense .
If it is about warrenty ? Then I should talk to them as I drive a 1988 Toyota pickup !
Wonder if they would extend it's warrenty ?
Hey thanks Jack! Your research is much appreciated!
When is this crap going to stop? What is the FCC going to do about this? This is getting out of hand now. These aren't even legitimate companies. They call to see who answers the phone and then sell the phone numbers to real companies. I guess that way the real co's can get around existing laws. Absolutely pathetic.
They called my cell phone and when i picked up nobody answered.why would they be calling a teenagers phone anyways?
Representative named Cody hung up on me when I asked to be removed from the calling list. Call was at 5:53pm on Xmas eve.
800-219-7425 - Did not answer, no message.
Did not answer call, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
I like the "block this number" idea. How about "block this number and redirect to the FCC"?
Ever hear of Scambaiting? That is what you are doing!!! There are many entertaining web sites on this topic. For example, see:
2) YOU MUST REPORT THEM TO THE AUTHORITIES:
FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION!
Here is the link to file a complaint: esupport.fcc.gov
FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION:
You must also file a report with the Attorney General of your state. See the last link below to see how effective this can be.
I file complaints against Versadebt and VP Marketing every time I receive a call. If everyone that received a call from these low-life scumbags does the same, then the combined action of thousands of us can stop these crooks from scamming innocent people out of money. You may also try to write your congress person.
Additional information: This is what can happen if everyone were to complain!
See the following press releases to see how effective your complaints can be:
NOW, WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT THIS? You have two solutions:
1) Speak to one of their customer service representatives. Pretend to be interested in either lowering your credit card interest rate or a car warranty. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY REAL INFORMATION. Give them a fake credit card number, a fake name, and a fake SS#. Tell them you own a Ferrari, or a 1937 Dodge (however, if you really own one of those two, tell them you own a Buick). Give a made up VIN number. If they ask for your name and phone number, give them the info for the person you hate the most.
Your goal is simple. Keep them on the phone for as long as possible. Be friendly. Your goal is twofold. You want to learn as much as possible about them. They will refuse to give you a website, phone number, or maybe even a real company name. They will attempt to give you a generic name such as "Account Services," "Financial Services," or "Dealer Services." This is done for a reason, to throw you and the government off their tracks. Do not accept this. Keep pressing for info. You will need this (see below).
EVEN BETTER IS IF YOU CAN RECORD THE CALL.
Also, the time you take from them means them have less time to steal from someone who is unknowledgeable about their scams. They get paid to rip people off. Take away their time, and they make no money! I have kept them on the phone for up to 20 minutes! I realize that many of you do not have the time? But do you appreciate being taken advantage of?
Interestingly, if you view these help wanted ads, you will notice that their address and phone number are different from what is listed with the Georgia Department of State. They now list 678-741-3188 and 678-741-3189 as the phone number of Human Resources. IT IS PERFECTLY LEGAL TO CALL THEM AS THEY LISTED THEIR NUMBER IN A PUBLIC FORUM. Call them to find out more information about this company. You will need this in your complaints to the FCC, FTC, and your state Attorney General.
You can call them to see if they offer Car Warranties or tell them you are interested in a lower interest rate. It is quite humorous to listen to their answers!
Here are some details from RipOff Report. Pay particular attention to these as ex employees detail how they operate and how their scam works:
You can learn much more about these douchebags by performing a web search for "versadebt," and "vp marketing," or "heather from account services."
You will find that the "Registered Agent" for VP Marketing is Kelly Lonas, 224 Ripple Creek Drive, Marietta GA 30060. The listed "Member/Manager" is James A. Schoenholz at the 4501 Circle 75 Parkway address.
Versadebt's Registered Agent is the same James A. Schoenholz at the 4501 Circle 75 Parkway address. There is one additional name listed for Versadebt. The listed CEO, CFO, and Secretary is named Marvin Cox, Jr. at the same address.
In fact, Marvin Cox may be the owner of all of these related companies.
Here are some links to prove my research:
Job listings for VP Marketing:
Notice the job listings for "Appointment Setter," "Qualification Representative," "Auto Warranty Specialist," and "Financial Representatives." Those are the idiots you get on the phone when you press "1" to speak to a representative after receiving their ILLEGAL recorded phone calls. Also, you can see many other job listings with similar titles.
Here are the details of these douchebags:
Car Warranty Scam (two potential addresses):
4501 Circle 75 Parkway
Atlanta GA 30339
They also show a new address in their help wanted ads:
1820 Water Place Pkwy
Atlanta GA 30339
Credit Card Scam:
4501 Circle 75 Parkway
Atlanta GA 30339
Both companies are listed with the Georgia Department of State. Here is how you can lookup their information:
Important message to all those that have received a call from this number:
The company making this call with an auto dialer is a known scam outfit. They spoofed phone numbers of victims all the time. Sometimes, they spoof non-working phone numbers. The phone number 571-261-0103 is just another victim of these scumbags. I've done a lot of research of this company. Actually, there are several affiliated companies, owned by the same people that try to scam innocent victims. One scam is about auto warranties. The other is about credit card debt relief. Their MO is the same. The use an auto dialer, and call thousands of random numbers. They have no regard to the do not call lists. Your demands or complaints are worthless. They will continue to call you.
They will not remove you from their call lists. Why? BECAUSE THEY DO NOT MAINTAIN ANY. THEY ARE CROOKS. THEY HAVE NO REGARD TO THE MANY LAWS THEY BREAK.
If they call about a car warranty, the message says something as "This is the second notice on your extended vehicle warranty. Press one now to speak to a representative..." The message about credit debt mentions "This is Account Services. We are calling to lower your credit card debt. Press one now to speak to a representative..."
they called me today. didnt answer. i hate how all these 800 numbers and telemockets call. its annoying so i will proably complain tmobile is the worst for the telamarketing!
Was called from this number, no message or voice...just hung up. Called back this number...am told this number is not in service.
I've received so many calls from these people. They keep promising that "this is the last notification...if you don't respond, we will remove you from our database" or something along those lines. Well, I got tired of these messages, so this last time I pressed 1 to speak to a representative. She asked sweetly if I would like to renew my warranty. I said no and started to tell her to take my name off the list because I was tired of receiving these calls......she hung up on ME!!
call back, message says outservice
I have probably got 10 calls from them in the last 1 month, but I hang up as soon as I hear their Car Warranty bull****.
Pain in the *ss.
Pain in the *ss
Have received 3 calls now for Car Warranty Expiration, to a work number. First time, I tried the automated option for opting out. Second time, I selected option for a live agent and requested to be opted out. I just tried opting out via a live agent again, but doubt it will do any good.
Total waste of my, or rather, my company's time.
"the factory warranty on your vehicle....." recorded telemarketer
car warranty scam, it's like my 100th call from them. they use a diff. number each time
I received a call from this number today on my cell phone. This uses up my minutes, which are limited. I would like to know a way to block the call if there is such a thing.
Warranty Help desk...this is a big fat scam. Google the words "Car warranty is about to expire" to find info about it.
Another spammer on the lousy spammer ATT network.
these people are real scam artists but i was not born yesterday so i went along with it they told me they could cover me for seven years an xtra 100k miles and that all i was goin to pay was something like $2800 bucks instead of the $3400 they would have charged me they said they were giving me a deal and when i told them i use to do service and that my shop were i use to work at sold xtended warranty and that the price was too high he said what for 7 years and hung up on me wich really ticked me off and since i had their number i decided to call them but it had been disconnected already a whole 40 seconds after what a bunch of a$$w#0l3$ wish that when they get caught they get reemed by bubba..............
This number called my cell phone voicemail saying:
"Notification. It's not too late! Please don't make the mistake of driving without a warranty. You are still eligible to reactivate warranty coverage. This is the final call before we close the file. Press 1 to speak with a representative now about your vehicle. Press 2 to be removed from the follow-up list."
The problem is that I have never owned a car.
Called regarding car warranty expiration and renewing it
I am starting to learn that all these calls I get on my new phone # and new provider are all leading back to AT&T... seems that they sell off our #s to solicitors, maybe just to eat up our minutes. I see a class action lawsuit coming soon. I never had this trouble or so many solicitations with T-mobile.
Just recieved a missed call from this number. I didn't answer, so thanks for letting me know what call I missed out on! Scam People are Scummy
3.57 peeyem central time, 16 December 2008. I just received a call to my cell phone from this number. As I didn't recognise it I simply pressed IGNORE. No voice mail message left.
Did not leave a message, called back and received a "this number is not in service" message.
This number called my PREPAID phone (i.e. WASTE OF MY MINUTES!!!) So far, the only non-family member with this number is DirecTV and the AT&T prepaid phone people. So either they sell/make public their customer information or by luck of the draw some 800 number company dialed it. On a prepaid phone!!! Why did I bother to get one?!?!!!! I guess I won't be getting my child a prepaid phone if any Thom, Dick and Harry can call!!! Who wants your kid talking to strangers!!!! And if it is those car warranty people... all my vehicles are so far out of warranty ("just expired" my left hoof!!!)
left message re: automobile warranty...is there a word for cell phone spam?
Missed this call. Dialed back and got a disconnected number message.
this number callled me yesterday..when i called back it said the number was disconnected
who/whatever is relentless. I get about 5 per day since last August. Wish my phone had a number block
Car warranty scam call. Filed report with Do Not Call registry.
This call came in on my cell phone but they left no message. If it is the car warranty scam, I have been getting them @ home also. They leave a recorded message proclaiming the dire end of my vehicle warranty ( which ran out a year`ago).
Vehicle extended warranty scam as reported here: www.seattleweekly.com
