called them - stated I keep getting calls from this number. He asked if I was sombody anderson. I said no. He stated he will remove the number from his system.
I have gotten collections calls on this line for Mr Anderson before. They stop when I tell them this is no longer his number.
No real problem for me.

A message to the specialist that works for this company, I get an average of three calls a day for someone named Tabitha. I have a minute phone that I spend money to keep on, NO I DONOT HAVE A BILL WITH YOU PEOPLE, NO MY NAME IS NOT TABITHA NOR AM I THE PERSON YOU ARE LOOKING FOR. PERIOD. What makes people like me and the others have to post on this site is that even after we tell you by automation or by speaking to a rep that you have the wrong number YOU FUCKING PEOPLE KEEP CALLING AND HARRASSING INOCENT PEOPLE.My suggestion to everyone is to file a charge with the FCC and request, place yourself on the donot call registry and if they continue when you file the charge with the FCC request monetary payment for everytime they call after you are registered. Oh my watch how fast the calls stop, Hope this helps fixing to register and file charges the very next time they call my phone. Sure could use the extra money. Call on receiveables, call on.

December 5th, 2012 yessir AZ

This number started calling me a few weeks ago. They call at odd hours (night, weekends, and once at 5:00 in the morning) so I haven't answered until today. They ask for me, I say "speaking", then they ask for my social security number. I ask who they are and what this is about, all they will tell me is that they are RPM Financial "we're a financial institution" and that is all they can tell me until I give them my social security number to verify who I am. So I ask again what this is about, I'm not going to give my info to someone cause they say I should and the dude gets an attitude and tells me that he needs me to verify who I am and tells me to call him back when I can figure out my social security number.

October 2nd, 2012 Masked Avenger CA

To Tired: What they are doing is a Federal Law violation (not the DNC list either). Skip tracers (which is what these clowns are) may not call a business more than 1 time for any person. The fines can total $50,000.00 and you have the right to sue them in civil court for up to $100,000.00 plus costs. Step 1: Go online and secure the forms from the Federal Trade Commission and file a formal complaint. Step 2: Trace the call to the company/individual and send a letter stating you now consider "them" a "hostile agent" for whomever their customer is and you will notify said customer of their behavior and sue them along with the skip tracer. The "hostile agent" embedded in a letter tells everyone concerned that an attorney is now involved and usually stops future calls. They also don't want their customer threatened, especially if it turns out you are not the party they are seeking or related to them in any way. This idiot really messed up and you have the upper hand. Good luck.

October 2nd, 2012 Resident47 RI

Tired, you're not helpless as an employer. In fact, you get special mention in the FDCPA. As I discussed here in February, hostile skip tracing is common from this industry. Part of the scthick is to insist you're a liar until you either give yourself up or open the broom closet where the alleged debtor is supposedly hiding.

That sort of hounding with layers of cursing and abuse is illegal. You've a cause of action to spank RPM and the individual reps in court. The next official-type links will start you on your homework.

Verbal demands are totally useless against your attack dogs, so you need to move to a paper trail as I've also discussed before. Save copies of all phone calls if you have a recording system and take copious notes every time you have an encounter. You are gathering evidence which you will need badly.

October 2nd, 2012 Tired IL

I am an employer and this company has called so many times for an ex-employee I have almost lost my mind. I have told them to not call. I have explained she no longer works here. I was told that he will quit calling if I tell him the truth and give him her phone #. I have no contact with the former employee & her unpaid debts are not my concern. My concern is running a business and to stop getting harassing phone calls. This "man" has cussed me out, borderline threatened me, & is out of control. Now I get hang up calls from 866-212-7408 daily. OVER IT!!!!

I kept getting calles from them,... My TV has caller ID so I looked up the number and found this website. Don't know why they are calling me, I owe no bill, and have stellar credit. The best part is my landline is hooked to a fax machine so If I don't answer they get an earful of fax noise... They gave up after 4 days. ;)

The guy behind this scam is Howard George and their web site is: www.receivablesperformance.com Everyone being harrassed and abused by this commpany should go to www.ripoffreport.com and file a complaint about him and his commpany. Be sure to use his name and tie the company innto it. He claims to have revenue over 18m per year and a debt portfolio over 3.5m. Hit where it hurts; by filing complaints (we need to file 1000s of them) will cause his customers to drop them like rocks. If anyone has info about the companies that sold their debt to these losers put that in the post too. Let's get as much bad PR for these losers as we can. It's time to fight back!!!

That guy called Specialist from the June 2009 post who wrote he is an RPM collector sounds kind of sick, like he plays with himself when he makes these calls. Don't follow his advice and do not call him or else you'll have some sick perv whacking his meat when you're trying to tell him about your bill problems.

February 3rd, 2012 Resident47 RI

Joanne and many others: You don't need a valid debt or a derogatory trade line on your credit reports to be hassled by debt collectors. They call third parties to alleged debtors all the time for permitted skip tracing purposes, or often pretending it's a trace to annoy and shame an intended target whose location is already known. Runaway skip tracing is arguably the most common problem the debt industry creates.

To a ''not me'' case I always recommend putting the agency on notice, just as you would if you were the target and the debt claim was invalid. Send a cease-comm notice via USPS Certified with return card. The FTC and many consumer watchdogs explain how to draft one. This will set a legal landmine, as such a notice is ignored at their peril. This can also help pull the agency under the shadow of TCPA, which carries treble damages for ''willful'' violation.

Don't let chest-thumpers like ''Specialist'' from June 2009 fool you. Nine out of ten those skip trace calls are not accidents. The collection rep is not your best friend and not your financial advisor. A ''50% sale'' is a common offer across the industry, and no bargain for you when the agency paid maybe 08% of face value for the entire debt portfolio. Not to mention ''settlement'' offers have to be arranged with exacting care to keep scofflaw collectors from welching on their deals and/or reselling ''forgiven'' portions. What's more, collection agencies cannot simply park a bad trade line on your credit bureau reports the way a hunter sets a bear trap. When they pull, it must be for a good reason, and what they report must be accurate.

That rep's whole rant is straight from the industry songbook, in which the constant refrain is that everyone he talks to is a cheating liar deserving of punishment. Then suddenly he's your pal when you drop your healthy skepticism, handing over his phone extension to secure more commissions. He wants you to ask "How do I pay" before you demand "Prove I owe"! The chance to preserve your rights slides away quickly. Here's a place to learn how:

Do not give out personal information to these people. They are tricky! They knew that I had the EVO and what my data plan was and how much I paid. It is creepy! I called Sprint to report it. It's confusing because these people don't speak English well but neither do actual Sprint customer service representatives. Sprint did clarify and say they will NEVER call cell phones to promote offers. These people have a website (sprintusers) if you google under the phone number - maybe Sprint should investigate???

Dexter: My theory is the collector wants you to think RPM and Glenn have an established relationship. Bungling a last name could be an opposing tipoff. If you are the named person or know that person, maybe you'll be off guard, or so it's hoped.

Getting them to take me off their list wasn't easy but I love making the confrontational call. I did the polite call {please take me off your list} The guy was very nice and apologized and said he would take me off his list. The next time they called, they were closed? I made a firm call {why are you still calling} the following Monday and she took a little more info and assured me I was out of the system. Yesterday, I got another call and made the rude call {this is the third time. no I don't want what your'e selling, All I want is for you to take me off your list!!!! Quit with the sales script and take me off your list} After having that conversation and being transferred four times, I finally got a supervisor on the phone. After a few minutes of the same crap, he said "It takes three billing cycles to remove you from our system" Three months??!!?? This could be fun. That means I can call and abuse these people till after Thanksgiving. Then he said he had access to the system and can take me out right now.

We'll see. I just had to suspend the "Golden Rule"

"Receivables" called this morning, I answered. There was a recorded blurb saying a representative will be on the line shortly, then a live person was there, asking for Glenn. Sounds like this bunch will say anything when skip tracing to avoid revealing a business name and true motive for calling. Of course, the FTC requires some discretion for privacy concerns, but many collectors use this rule as a weapon to confuse and intimidate. The suggestion from "Certified Mail" in July is correct if you are certain their target is not you.

September 16th, 2010 LittleMac MI

I first got a call from them one week ago. The gentleman was very nice and polite and asked me if I knew my neighbor, Marilyn who lives across the street from me. I told him we waved sometimes, but I was not acquainted with her. I said, "What are you, a bill collector or something?" He said "No, she hired me to do some business for her, but the number I have for her has been disconnected." I said, "If she hired you, one would think she would have provided you with her correct number. You're a bill collector, aren't you?"
He again refused to tell me he was a bill collector. Then, he asked me if I would take down a note, and bring it over to her door and leave it there. I told him I wasn't comfortable doing that. He thanked me for my time and the call ended.
Now, starting yesterday evening, their computer keeps calling me, when I wait for the message to finish and be connected to a real person, it's a woman, asking for Marilyn. I explained to her I am not Marilyn, and that she lives across the street, they say they will take me off the list, and the list updates at midnight, so if I get another call, to just disregard it. I told her she told me that yesterday, and apparently the list did not automatically update. They called for Marilyn again this morning at 8:20.
How can I make them stop?

Sprint called from this number - but it was NOT promotions/upsell/scam, etc. It was merely Sprint to check if a problem I called in a week earlier was resolved. Often, when you call Sprint with an issue or change of service, they will ask you "would it be alright if we check back with you in a week to make sure...".

I generally ignore these calls but the one today was the straw that broke the camel's back. I have reported them and you should too at: www.ftc.gov

Where do I report a debt collector for an alleged violation?

Report any problems you have with a debt collector to your state Attorney Generals office (www.naag.org) and the Federal Trade Commission (www.ftc.gov). Many states have their own debt collection laws that are different from the federal Fair Debt Collection.
The business to complain about has details listed below. If they have broken the law at all, they can be punished if the right people hear about this. I think it's important because otherwise they continue to get away with it and waste other people's cell phone minutes too!

I recently changed my cell number and they had JUST called me AGAIN. i dont know how they would've found out my new number?!
I called the number and some lady answered and said 'Is this Cassandra' , didnt even ask what my number was or account info or whatever the usual bill collectors get before pulling up your info. Called and spoke to my 13 yr old daughter insisting that someone by the name of "Kristen" could be contacted at this number and became agitated when my daughter told him no one by that name lived here and that we don't even know a Kristen.

This is a collection agency. After several calls that lasted over two weeks I finally picked up. The person on the phone said he was looking for his freind James. When I told him that I did not know a James but I wanted to know why he called me several times a day for over two weeks he repied "I have not personally called you before today". When I asked who he was he said "don't worry about it, I'm looking for James". Shortly after that he said he worked for RPM and then began going down the road of being somewhat of a smartass. I asked for his boss and he said that he did not put his Boss on the phone for things like this.
This company has some bad practices and even worse people. Their calls are automated so their system will call you relentlessly even if they have a wrong number.
Fright Back! Report them to the BBB and the FCC!!

Go to rpmcollects.com

These folks are the trash of the Western world. They are trying to collect from me on a parking ticket from 2003 that doesn't exist in the DMV database on a truck I haven't owned since 2004. I have been told that I need the DMV to write a letter saying I don't owe the debt but unfortunately a DMV field office doesn't do doctor's notes.

These jokers have been calling me for four years. It just started again 3 weeks ago after an 18 month reprieve.

They have several complaints filed against them for fraudulent claims.

So they call day and night, will not tell me who they are, not that I need to know because I have caller ID. Called them back today and asked them to PLEASE take me out of their data base, he cut me off and said oh this is Joe Scotts residence, I said NO ITS NOT...long story short if you read about debt collection on the Do not call registry on the FTC link, section 804 and 805 basically tell you that if you ask them who they are and they do not identify who they are, they are violating the FTC rules in regards to the FAIR DEBT COLLECTION ACT...I think we should all get together and file a class action lawsuit for harrassment. These kids that make the laws have to be unaware that they are breaking the law? Arrrghhh I am so pissed right now, I wish I didnt have a phone in times like these.

They called my boyfriends phone at an ungodly early hour so i picked up. I said hello a few times and got no answer finally a rude woman said hello and asked for my boyfriend, when i told her he was sleeping she insisted that i wake him up right away..when i said no she asked why many times in the rudest way possible. I have read that this is a scam trying to pin false debts onto you, and i know for a fact he has no outstanding debts. WATCH OUT FOR THE RUDE BITCH!

The company is called Receivables Performance Management. They are a collection agency. They kept calling, so I googled "receivablesperf" which what was listed on my caller id. I called their 800 number and asked why they were calling my number. Turns out they were calling for someone that does not live in my house and that they would take my number off their listing.

Calling starts around 7a.m. They call and hang up several times in a row, never leaving a voicemail. I see from other comments that they are a cell phone company collection agency. I have only ever had one carrier and still use them, so no way I owe any outstanding phone bill. They call at all hours on every day of the week which is illegal. You would think that if they really wanted money they would leave messages and tell you why you owe money.

301-882-9950, 425-984-6246, 425-984-6248, 866-212-7408, 866-212-7848, 888-745-9332 are most of the phone numbers the Receivable Performance Management, LLC (Collection Agency) are using. They are located at 1930 220th Street SE Suite 101, Bothell WA 98021-8410 and are also using a PO Box 768 with the same City, State & Zip address, too. The Founder is Howard L. George and he runs a website: //ReceivablesPerformance.com for gathering Clients to keep them in business. They do use a Demon Dialer of some sort to "Hunt Down" targets who may answer their phone which is why you rarely get a live person on the calling end when you answer.

To combat these types, there are a few tactics. First, when you answer your phone, be sure you are NOT doing something important (especially driving) and wait for the live person to get on the line as this may take a while. Say hello politely several times so the Caller will FEEL comfortable they are talking to someone who is "Civil" enough to deal with. When they do respond as a live person, your FIRST QUESTION will always be: WHO ARE YOU TRYING TO CALL, PLEASE? without yelling at them. DO NOT TELL THEM WHO YOU ARE, they called you looking for someone so find out who they are looking for, first. 9 times out of ten, they will have the wrong number but you MUST inform them that you have had your phone number for so many months or that it is a relatively NEW number for you so that these people will FEEL you are telling them the truth and not someone trying to hide from debt collection practices. If you are NOT the person they are looking for, DO NOT lead them to believe that you may know that person, either. It is NOT your responsibility to be contacting someone else for them. If they continue calling you, inform them that if they continue to keep calling you (especially on your cellphone), you will treat this as harrassment and will report them to the phone company (forget about the police for now). The phone company has a legal department who handles this problem.

The Second Step: If you ARE the person they are trying to contact, YOU MUST ASK them politely to tell you what address they have on file for you. Do not give them any new information about you no matter how they TRY to coherse into doing so. If the address IS correct AND it is a CURRENT address that they can reach you at; YOU MUST tell them to send EVERYTHING IN WRITING to you at that address on record. Ask them to sign their letter to you. Never, NEVER, handle transactions over the phone such as giving them additional information, especially where you bank at or give them credit card numbers, or where you work, etc.

When they call again, wait for the live person (again) to inform them you are waiting for their wirtten demands in the mail BEFORE you can respond any further BECAUSE YOU ARE REQUIRED TO VERIFY THEIR CLAIM FIRST before proceeding any further. You are still letting them know that you are a reasonable & civil person to deal with, so politely excuse yourself until you have THEIR documentation in your hands. If RPM rebuts with excuses to continue before you have a reasonable amount of time to validate their claim, you may politely let them know that you know HOW to reach MR. GEORGE and his company and to please be careful with what (the Caller) says for you may have to use that against (the Caller) at at later time. This type of caution usually stops them from proceeding unless they are trying to upset you. It's an attempt to get you to lose control which you already have over them. You can also inform them that this call may be TRANSCRIBED (not recorded) in case you need it for a later date. You want them to hang up on YOU, not the other way around. This is how You maintain control over them.

Third: When you actually have their written demand for payment, hopefully you will have their name and best of all, their signature as well; now is the time to do your research on verifying IF the debt is genuine. There are all sorts of information on the web for fighting for your rights. Use them. Check to see if the Statute Of Limitations had expired. Check websites for help on writing proper letters such as legal Demands to Validate Debt. Most importantly, always write (never communicate over the phone) with the intent to use the U.S. Mails with the Certified Delivery WITH a "Return Receipt" mailed back to you at YOUR address. It is much better to use their (RPM's) PO Box address because it is difficult for the RPM Rep to skip signing the delivery receipt when it is at the Post Office for pick up.

When you use the Mails, you maintain your protection and have evidence to use against them when it comes time to prosecute them for violating the laws. And they will be breaking many laws. Do your own research for yourself, do not shrug it off because knowledge is power! It will build your confidence when someone else tried to use bully tactics on you again. Read, read, read, write, write, write. Use the laws, it will stop them EVEN IF YOU DID HAVE A DEBT. The most satisfying part of all this is when you win your case and the actual valid debt amount is awarded on your behalf.

Now, go out there as an American Citizen and know the Law.

said that I was going to contact the attorney general of our state if he continued. He asked if I was threatening him - told him no but that I'd heard they don't have a very good reputation and he was proving everything I'd read and heard was right. He said " well there are just a lot of people who get overly upset LIKE YOU ARE " After telling him again to remove our phone number - he told me " I'll tell you how this is going to work!!!" He was running his mouth trying to intimidate me, but I know my son's credit report is clean because he just applied for a loan and there was nothing outstanding. I repeated that I want my phone number removed from their calling list and then hung up.

RPM, ReceivablePerf, Receivable Performance Management. Debt collectors which are bottom feeders as they try to collect past due debts that are well past the statute of limitations.
You can find all you want or need to know about them on their website: www.receivableperformance.com Their location is in WA. Their website lists area codes 425 and 503 and they have both 866 and 888 numbers. I have no idea who they are paying for the 240 area code MD phone number. No doubt another scum sucker like themselves.
If you are having trouble with them, keep track of the number of times a day they call as only 1 call is allowed whether or not they actually reach you. Then report them to the WA attorney general's office consumer affairs division.

I finally bought phones that allow you to set different rings for different numbers.. I just programed there's in as silent!! I don't owe them anything.. I have talked to this company. I sent them a copy of a cancelled check that paid the original debtor.. they still call... and call.. and call...and call.. they are calling about a bill of 34.88....save your long distance.. ughhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! I truly believe they think it is such a low amount that I will pay them just to shut them up.. sorry.. I work for my money. I do not throw it away.. PLEASE PEOPLE KEEP YOUR BANK RECORDS. THIS WAS A BOGUS CALL TO BEGIN WITH AND IF I HADN'T KEPT MY BANK RECORDS I WOULD HAVE HAD NO PROOF!! I also ran my credit record.. nothing about this company or the original debitor..

We get calls from these people as well. They will call for a couple of days, never let the phone ring more than two or three times; it's gone to voicemail once but no message was left. Then we will hear nothing from them for several days and then the cycle starts all over again. I see someone says they are a collections company for verizon. Yes, I have verizon however my bill is paid up each month, and is paid automatically through verizons system so I KNOW it gets paid! Besides, in the past, when I was overdue with verizon they would call me directly, or send me a text on my cell phone, not through some debt collection service. I don't owe anyone else any money either. I will not answer the phone so they can call till dooms day if they like but it won't get them anywhere.

No one but my family knows this cell phone number. I cut my land line off 3 mos ago. I have no idea who they are or what they want but all my bills are paid and paid off so I dont have any bad ones out there that havent been cleared up. Today they called and then 3 min later called again about 8pm....sometimes they call at 7am and i am in bed. i am disabled and sometimes hard to get to a phone when it rings. Oh well, guess i have to call them. I do know that this number belonged to someone esle and I had to call a credit company back and tell them she did not own this number any longer. I've had so many phone calls from this number, the "press 6 to opt out" never worked, I finally answered the phone (thinking it was Sprint) and twice I talked to someone with a VERY think accent, got nowhere and hung up. If you are having problems with these guys you need to go to the Federal Trade Commission's website (ftc.gov) and file a complaint there. It soundes like they are in violation of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act which can be found at: www.ftc.gov If you talk to these people again make sure you get their name, name of their company and date and time of call. i know first hand about what you all are talking about, the reason they keep calling is because you never give them a chance to verify the number was dialed. these people are in automatic dialers so never know what number was called. but if all you say is wrong number and hang up they are forced to call back. if anyone else is reading this and hate the calls, STAY ON THE PHONE AND TALK ABOUT IT DONT HANG UP BECAUSE UNLESS CONFLICT IS RESOLVED THEY ARE FORCED TO CALL!!!!

They called my cell today, left no message. I'm always curious when a strange # calls and doesn't leave a message. I look here first! Beca left a comment asking: Is it a coincidence that I just paid off one if my debts and now this collection agency calls?" (paraphrased) The answer is NO... it is NOT a coincidence. I JUST finished cleaning up every last thing on my credit report. I owe no one! But thanks to my clean-up and updated info being in the credit bureau's data base, these bottom feeders know how to reach me! I got a call from another bottom feeding agency for a debt incurred over 20 years ago! That debt was my first credit card as a youngster and I didn't realize that before I had even spent a dime on the card that Capitol One had already spent $190 of my $200 limit in fees and charges! I made ONE purchase for $21, thinking I would pay it off right away and build up my credit. I got my first bill... for $360!!! I paid the $21 + interest and never paid the rest- on purpose. I find that the most predatory lenders use the most scumbag bottom-feeding collection agencies- like this one. If I felt guilty (which I don't) and paid jerks like these for a 20 year old debt, it would become ACTIVE on my credit report and ruin my now good score! I feel no obligation to these jerks- they're barely ligit.. if at all. I will continue to not answer this # and all unknown numbers and suggest you do the same. Too bad... I used to live right near their Lynnwood, WA office, but live in another state now. I would LOVE to make a visit in person!

9pm calls ..Sunday .. Annoying. Thanks for all the feedback on this. After reading here and reporting my 2 spams I've put this # in my blocked calls for my vtech phones.

Received calls from this number sometimes multiple times per day over SEVERAL weeks. I usually didn't answer. When I finally answered there was no one there and I hung up after saying "hello" twice. They JUST called again and I answered. After saying hello twice, someone responded and asked for someone that doesn't even live here! I responded with "There is no one by that name here. PLEASE stop calling." The guy kept interrupting me and saying there was nothing to be upset about. Finally, since I couldn't get a word in at all I hung up. Wish I could punch that guy or get his phone number and keep calling him and asking for someone else - I'm sure he'd still think "there is nothing to get upset about"! Think if they call again I'll just start in screaming. I am SO angry!

Has called my house twice daily for about two weeks saying it a person named Rhonda. Finally called the number back and asked for my daughter saying she owed some money. She asked them to send a bill, which they said they had already done and she had signed for it, which she did no such thing. Then asked for her credit card number. I will be reporting these people to State of CT.

This company has repeatedly called me, looking for someone who no longer has this phone number. I have asked them repeatedly to stop calling me, yet they persist.

Being that we constantly get calls from other collection agencies for someone using our unlisted phone number- usually for the ones who had this number before us (over 6 1/2 years ago)- this is probably who the call is for. My husband and I live on his disability and pay our bills as they should be, so we would have no reason to being hearing from a place like this. If not for the ones who had our number previously, then it's someone who's stolen possibly my husband's identity in the past (a few times).

I have been receiving calls from this number, and when they ask to speak to an indiviodual who is deceased, they are informed of such conditions. If they could make my son speak again I would apprericate it, but all they are, are degenrate bill collectors. They tripped themselves up, and exposed who they really are by the 20 telephone numbers. In checking 240-210- 7113, it was found that the main number is 866-212-7408, and when checked belongs to Receivables Performance Management LLC, 20816 44th Ave W. Lynnwood WA. 98036. A company that has over 400 complaints file to the BBB, against them, who also has a rating of " F ". You now have the name and address of this phony company, just look them up, and you will see what garbage they really are. They should have their breathing terminated, for the harassment they cause to innocent people. One can only hope that will occur, for the well being of many.

October 22nd, 2009 Pi

Got a call from (877) 671-1851 today at 9:00pm. They have been calling a couple of times a week for several weeks now. Tonight I called the number back and the automated voice said this is Sprint/Nextel and they are offering a deal on a second line of service. If you want a second line of service dial 3, if not dial 6. I hit 6, hung up then programed my phone to not ring for this number.

October 20th, 2009 bh

When I have these repeated calls, I program this number into my contact list as "Don't answer bogus call." I also customize the ringtone to "no sound." Try it. It works!

October 16th, 2009 Howie CT

This is SPRINT calling with promotions for existing customers

October 14th, 2009 Bill IN

Only the second time that I have received this call. But if it keeps up and becomes more frequent. I will drop Sprint in a HEART BEAT!!!!!!!!! I did now answer the phone, if i don't know whos calling my cell I will not answer untill I do a reverse lookup or search like I did here. Then I call them back and give them a ear full. I dropped my land line because of the crap and increased my minutes on cell where and when does it all end???

October 10th, 2009 SLK CA

I have been getting these calls for the past several weeks, they hi-jacked someone's name from my contact list, so the call always appeared as though it was calling from him. I've talked to them briefly once, hard to understand, represent themselves as Sprint, hung-up on them & they still call. I guess I'll have to learn how to block the number, gotta find that phone manual.

October 8th, 2009 HS VA

It's simply a company trying to sell bundles of telephone/internet services.

October 2nd, 2009 its NOT Sprint

What's with you people? It's NOT Sprint! It's scammers trying to get your personal information. NOT Sprint, NOT a 3rd party bill collector, probably NOT in the western hemisphere. It's a SCAMMER! Wake up! Sprint might suck, but give them a break... it's NOT them! Do you people answer all those e-mails you get claiming to be your bank, your credit card company, eBay, or PayPal too?

September 29th, 2009 problem solved NY

Call the number back, listen to the options, and select the one for "not interested in any services". I just did it, so hopefully it works. This is the second day in a row for me getting these calls and I do not want to make a habit of it. I was also informed that this may not be sprint but a scam from telemarketers. But I am not sure since I am currently on the "do not call list". But who knows how effective that is nowadays.

September 16th, 2009 D OK

My Sprint cell phone rang. Said they were Sprint and knew our name. I said I didn't have free daytime minutes and she said, "Don't worry since this is Sprint." Asked if I was authorized to answer questions about account? Girl with foreign accent. Hard to understand. Asked for my PIN number to continue. I said I didn't want any promotions and I hung up. My bill is paid.

Saw I missed a call from 877-671-1851 at 5:31pm while I was out, duration zero seconds. No message left.

Two and a half years of history from this number on this site and they are still at it... I only hope those spreading this misery taste a full measure of the same from a similar company.

September 9th, 2009 Sprint Sucks MD

We keep getting calls from this number on our Sprint cell phones. It's bad enough that Sprint service is expensive and is generally poor overall. They need to start blocking this and similar companies from using their network. And yes, it can be done.

September 2nd, 2009 On time

To the jackass that sad to pay your bill on time to avoid these calls, we pay ours early!

Got this call again today, been quite some time since the last so I guess they made it around to me again. The last time they wanted me to upgrade but the operator got shook up when I asked for a particular phone they didn't have but was on Nextel/Sprint's site. Third party vendor, makes you want to cancel service because they let people like them work with Nextel/Sprint.

And Kiowamaster, why are you here....did you not pay your bill on time?

September 2nd, 2009 JD

About the fact that we get these annoying calls and no one is on the other end, someone told me they auto-dial at all times a day.
then when you answer the computer keeps track of the time of day you actually answered so a real live person can call at the
that same time of day.Don't know if its tru but it makes sense to me. Best to not answer if you do not know the number.

I recommend looking at their website. What I find truly fascinating is that you really have to look around on there to find out what it is they do. It's like they are ashamed of themselves-- as well they should be. They make a living taking peoples' hard earned money away. People pay because they can't take the calls, and want them to stop. If you do that, remember: you'll feel like dirt for the rest of your life.
They collect zombie debt-- debt that has long ago expired, and in some cases isn't even on your credit report. Call them what they are: leeches.
Don't bother answering the phone. They will eventually give up and sell your debt to an even lower form of pond scum.

I called Sprint/nextel as soon as I called this number (877) 671-1851 from a land line. It is NOT SPrint or Nextel. They looked up that number and it is NOT one of thier lines. They do NOT call fo promotions unless you are on thier calling list. I have had nextel for 5 years and have NEVER once gotten a call like this. Do not answer it.

August 26th, 2009 Kiowamaster

If you would pay your bill on time you wouldn't get these calls! Why is everyone shocked that you are getting these calls? Just pay the bill or call them and make an arrangement to pay it little by little.. They just want their money and will take it anyway you want to give it to them.

I have received dozens of calls from this company, mostly with no answer or with a recorded message. Frequently, they call and no one answers on the other end when they say hello. Thanks to whomever posted the name of these lowlifes. I just sent them a letter telling them to cease and desist and will send them one with a registered letter next week. I am on disability and can not work and have been very sick for 20 months and am awaiting surgery. They won't stop calling when you tell them on the phone. I did this with another company which kept calling me day and night and once I sent them a registered letter and also told them I am disabled, the calls stopped and I never heard another word from them. They have called me from 8 am to 10 pm, seven days a week, sometimes as many as 5-7 calls a day.

I shouldve noted that yes he identified himself as being from Sprint but sounded ridiculously unprofessional. I'm pretty sure this is NOT sprint if they are quoting usage minutes that they make up and ask for a PIN. They should never ask for a PIN. Just hang up or don't answer.

August 11th, 2009 V. WA

They called and knew my name and stumbled over a script about whether I'm maximizing my account. He repeated himself and was not smooth on the phone when he asked for my PIN number "to make sure I'm getting the most of my account." I hung up.

I received a call from this number at 6:37pm but did not answer, because I wasn't sure why a toll free number would be calling be on my cell. The next day I noticed I had a missed call from them again, the time on the call was 11:45pm. Why are they calling my cell phone so late.
