The phone is ringing, and I don't recognize the number, All Caller ID says is, "NAME UNAVAILABLE".
Please help me figure out who is calling and what they want

nonme calls from 9 phone numbers:
The creeps call and let it ring twice and hang up. It pays to have Caller ID and screen your calls. Stuff like this didn't happen in the 1950s. But then people who had a beef with you could ring your number and leave their phone off the hook for hours. During which time your line was tied up and you could not call out until they hung up. Who is to say things are better now?
Just got call on my landline. I register all my numbers on DNC but still get these
It's a spoofed telephone number, trolling for active phones (so they can sell the number to other asshole scammers), or pitching either the infamous "Card Services" (Rachael) scam, or the free trip to Bahamas scam. I called the number back 30 seconds after the call, and found it was an invalid (out of service) phone number.
Regarding the Bamahas cruise scam.... there are two scam companies (pretty much owned and operated by the same family of criminals) operating out of the Orlando, FL area ("Caribbean Cruise Lines" and "Bahamian Cruises"). They pitch a free cruise, only have to pay NOW (with a credit card) for taxes and port fees. They don't tell you about all the extra costs, the 2 hour high-pressure real estate sales pitch you have to sit through, or the fact you can't get a refund. It's a SCAM.... even the "costs" they charge you for are grossly inflated over actual fees. People who have given them their credit number have found all kinds of additional charges tacked onto their account.
I filed a formal, written account against one of these companies for violating DNC. I called them "criminals", "scammers", and a "fraud" in written public documents, and you know what, they didn't even blink. A legitimate company would have been howling SLANDER / LIBEL, and threatening legal action.... the fact they didn't challenge my representations of them almost proves they are a criminal operations.
They did claim in their response that all of their calls are to telephone numbers provided by a (mysterious) lead generator that scrubs their lists of numbers in the DNC database.... so that I must have "authorized" the call..... what a bunch of bullshit.
Don't let anyone you like fall for this scam.
Caller didn't leave message but other complaints out on this phone number say it was a recording about a Bahama Cruise
Caller didn't answer when I pick up. Harassing. No caller ID just phone #
Received a call today from Atlanta area. Did not pick up. No message.
Called this morning - didn't leave voice mail. No caller id, just phone #
Unknown caller, never left VM, haven't returned call
More SPAM from Toronto. Thanks Mayor Ford!
The female teacher is the adult predator who loves having the sexual power over a young male. Young males are easy to control and manipulate and the female teachers love the power. A number of them are married like Mary Gowans. It’s not like they lack a normal sexual outlet. Sexual deviance in the Toronto District School Board is a human rights issue, but we all know how cronyism protects middle and upper class white female sexual predators like Varla Abrams, Gordy Stefulic, Vivian Mavrou and Mary Gowans. If it wasn’t for the media and the student coming forward to file legal action, Mary Gowans would have been teaching in Canadian public schools and who knows how many more students Mary Gowans would have molested and send over 2,000 text messages to? Benjamin Levin is trying to push his sexual grooming manual to students in the form of a Sex-Ed curriculum plan. Those female predators who work in Canadian public schools tend to take advantage of these explicit sex-Ed classes to groom students. The Canadian public schools are not safe for children because sexual predators who teach in Ontario are given privileges, legal representation and rights and more support is given if the accused is a white female teacher. Even the Canadian mainstream media glorifies the white female teacher who is accused of sexual exploitation of minors. This is outright sickening and we wonder why the NSA is spying on everyone, but the public school cronies are allowed to hide and cover up allegations of sexual exploitation in Ontario public schools.
Did not answer. No message.
@ColdCallKiller - good tip. I do the same thing, saving junk calls to a contact called "Junk call". In iOS7, you can then block that contact from future calls.
called at 16:56 Pacific, Dec 11
I did not recognize number...and did not pick up.
Bast@rds called my cell... "You have won a cruise to the Bahamas". Hahaha.... has anyone ever actually gone to the Bahamas on these guy's prize-nickle? Wish there was a way to block calls from my cell brand... can't find it. Snake Oil Salesmen & Snake Oil Ladies...hahaha. They must actually make money this way.... PT Barnum's great quote must be sadly correct.
did not pick up. Looks like it is doing alot of calling today.
unknown caller, not first time this number has called my phone which is on the do not call list.
Unknown Caller - Answered my phone, said hello twice and the end abruptly ended without a response.
Recorded message saying I won a cruise. I hung up.
I tried calling back and got busy or fast busy (both)
I got so many free vacation to the Bahamas from these people I would never have to come home. lol they call at least 5 times a week.
Received a call. Did not pick up. I'm in the Midwest, United States. Based on reports I'm reading in this block, I'm guessing that this is a computer that is searching/seeking out numbers.
If you have a smart phone, here's what I suggest you do...
1) In your Contacts/Address Book, create a Contact with the name "DO NOT CALL" or "DO NOT ANSWER"
2) Every time an unrecognized number calls you, DON'T ANSWER--let it ring through, and then Google the number and see what sites like this, and others, say about the number.
3) If suspicious, add the number to your "DO NOT CALL" contact. On more recent phones running Android, for example... a single contact can have 20, 25, even 30 different phone numbers associated with them!
4) If your phone won't let you add any more numbers to your contact, start another contact... call it "DO NOT CALL2"... and then "DO NOT CALL3"... etc.
You'd be surprised how many of these numbers cycle around. A lot of telemarketers and scam artists use the same numbers over and over again. Florida, in particular, is a hotbed of criminal activity, especially the fraudulent telemarketer type.
Must be an auto-dialer. Got 15 calls in an hour. Finally put on airplane mode. They seem to have stopped for now.
Interrupted my meeting. Didn't bother to pick up.
Got a call, don't know this number. Did not pick up.
This number appeared on my cell phone I did not answer did not recognize number do not want returned calls. Using my minutes
Came in on Texas cell phone.
Called my cell, left no message. I don't know any "Sharon Duffey."
Free Cruise....yeah, right!
I did not answer the phone; they didn't leave a message.
When I answered they hung up
No answer, hung up when I picked up the line.
robot caller selling free cruise spam
Just called me from the number you try to call back goes straight to voicemail.
Scam call, do not answer.
Shows up on caller ID as "STATE ATTORNEY", no message left.
I have been getting this call many times a day for past few days all hours on my cell phone but have been unable to answer due to illness. I do not owe Capitol one anything. I will tell them they will be redirected to the police if they call again.
called and didn't leave a message
Before everyone gets in a huff - this is Capital One - I have credit cards with them and I was 3 days late paying the bill and they are calling to get payment. This is not a scam number, it is legit so I would suggest that if you have a Capital card that you make sure you are up to date with payments and if you do not then call back and explain it to them!
"Linda, with an important business matter" is a recording from Capital One. Pay your bill 1 or 2 days late, and they press the 'play' button on the cassette recorder and "Linda" comes to life.
A man left a message masturbating over the phone
Keep calling about an interest rate. I don't own a credit card.
Phishing scam beware.
I read about this number on another site. Somebody had a good suggestion, so I decided to follow it.
I called back the number and they asked for my "16 digit account #". I told them I didn't have an account, however this number had called me twice today.
The lady then asked for my phone number. I gave it to her, since obviously they have it anyways. Then she asked for my name. I told her I wasn't telling her my name, since I don't have an account with them. I asked, "What is the name on the account" and she told me. Then she asked for the last 4 digits of my social security. I told her I wasn't giving her that information. Then she asked for my address, and I told her I'm not telling you my address, but this is the address number of my house. Within seconds she apologized and hung up. Kind of scammy, kind of not.. I'm on the fence. BUT maybe I got them out of my hair. (By the way, I doubt an institution would reveal even a customers name in that fashion.)
If you do business with Capitol One call them using the phone numbers on your monthly statement, not one someone (Linda, in this case) gives you. This has to be a scam and fraud. If you have a computer you can find all the legal phone numbers for Capital One on their web site.
capital one demanding $$ I don't have
PHISHING CALL BEWARE - (same as Wally said) - Call identified herself as the fraund departmnet for a gas card. Gave a call back number of 888-638-8396, but the phone showed CTI and 972-653-1000. I went online to my gas account and there was no fraud on my account - everything was current. The caller was phishing for data.

THE MATHEWS LAW GROUP IS CURRENTLY INVESTIGATING A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST CAPITAL ONE FOR CALLS TO CELL PHONES, ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT OWE ANY DEBT AND ARE BEING CALLED IN ERROR OR BEING CALLED FOR SOMEONE ELSE'S DEBT.
THERE IS NO OUT OF POCKET EXPENSE TO YOU WHATSOEVER AND WE HAVE OBTAINED CASH RELIEF FOR MANY OF OUR CLIENTS FOR THESE TYPES OF CALLS.
Call identified himself as the fraund departmnet for a gas card. Gave a call back number of 888-638-8396, but the phone showed CTI and 972-653-1000. There was no fraud on my account and everything was current. The guy was obviously phishing.
I emailed Capital Ones Fraud Protection "sector". I will update when they have replied. The questionnaire goes as follows.
Hello Abuse Squad,
For the past week or so now I have, on a daily basis, generally 3 or more times that day, have consistently received calls from the number 813-274-1837. The person calling is horrific. Whether it be 8 am on Sunday, or 3 pm Wednesday, or 8 pm Friday, the calls do not stop. She claims to go by the name Linda, and has important business to discuss with me regarding my Capital One account.
I honestly don't for see this being you gents and lassies. It's way too harassing, no prior mailed warning, my next due dates for payments aren't until 12-14-2011, and so I don't feel I'm being hounded by the ACTUAL Capital One company, whom I've enjoyed banking through.
If you can give me any insight for this matter at hand, I would love to know whether I actually have business to attend to, or a number to block.
Sean (Noone gets to know this on this site, sorry folks)
I am pretty surprised that people have been getting calls from this same number for over 2 years now. More surprising is that it is the same b/s statement provided by this annoyance known as "Linda". I have never had an issue with Capital one, and know my payments are not due until the 14th of December... she has been calling for 2 weeks. I fully believe it is NOT Capital One, and I feel because of the distance in her voice, it is an automated call.
Whether or not I'm right, it's annoying as crap.
They call my home phone x8 EVERY day. I pick up but don't say anything just press the keys repeatedly then I hang up.-------------ANNOYING MFers!!
I've been recieving calls from this number for the last month at least 5 times a day even late at nite and early morning
Lady has called my cell phone several times. Twice she left a message saying she was from Capitol One and the call was regarding an important business matter. I don't have nor do I want a card with Capitol One and I don't give my cell number out, so these are harassing calls, and I contacted my cell phone carrier to block them.
It's Capital One!
813-274-1837 called my cell phone again. i have added to my recorded message to capitol one which made my outgoing message really long. and so, evidentally it is a robo call / hear pick up and start message / or a very stupid person because the message left by "linda" was more than half over and started near the end where it has of the number to cal (only part of the number to call was recorded).
813-274-1837 called my cell phone again for 4th time in 5 days.. evidentally it was capitol one because no message was left this time.
i have a true message that:
"this cell phone number has a new owner with NO way to contact prior owners. Capitol One: Linda - i cannot help you. please do not call again."
i usually have my cell phone OFF because i use it for outgoing and emergencies only. plus, i have NOT given the number out so any call cannot be from anyone i know..
Googled this number when I had a missed call. They called me back and it was "Aliza" from Capital One and I said no you aren't and hung up. I am blown away at how many posts are on here pissed at Capital One, when clearly this is a scam. Credit Cards NEVER call and ask for your acct number. If it sounds, fishy, it is.
I looked up this number and it said it belonged to a actual woman - not a business. However, it came up in the voicemail as "Capital One". That's so strange. Why would the use this poor person's number?
Everytime this number calls me I get a voicemail that is just pure static. And if I dont answer and my husband does, asking to take a message, they immediately hang up.
Linda doesn't have any interesting opportunities. She just wants me to pay my Capital One bill. Sorry Linda, no funds here. Oh and P.S. I don't take creditor calls on Sundays.
Been calling up to 6 times a day since 2/16/2011. "Hi this is Linda, I may have some opportunities you would be interested in from Capital One."
This and other numbers from capitol one have been calling 3 to 6 times a day since the first of Feb. I called the number back, they do ask for your credit card number, but if you just keep pushing 0, you will get someone to talk to. I called and told them to take me off their list, she said it would take 1 to 3 business days, I told her BS that with computers she can do it NOW. I also told them that every time I got a call from them they would get 10 from me. They are just trying to sell stupid crap.
Called three times in a row. "hi this is Linda, I may have some opportunities you would be interested in from capital one."
This number is being used by scammers that are using Caller id spoofing similar to that available at spoofcard.com
The "linda offers" calls you guys are really recieving are not part of capital one at all, rather some unidentified anonymous entity wishing to steal information using Caller ID spoofing techniques.
I have the exact same experience as several posters here. They call constantly, sometimes 5-6 times in a row, but do not leave informative messages. I often get voice mails of just breathing into the phone, CREEPY.
Keeps calling, actually one of my children picked up and talked to someone and gave them my cell number, but I've not received a call on my cell thank goodness.
called at 8:30 AM on Sunday...is that legal?
They left a voice mail saying they had an offer, they must use the line for more then one purpose since I'm not over due it's not collections for sure.
seems to be cpaital one trying to sell something
They kept on calling me while I was in the hospital with cancer. There killing me.
We have received calls from this number for the last 5 days and the person they are looking for is no longer at this address, we wish for your company to quit calling us. They call at all hours and when I asked the young woman who called this morning to take us off their calling list, she just hung up on us. Please see that our number is removed from the calling list.
This "unknown" number calls ALL hours of the day and night. There is a brief recording, "please stay on the line for an important...cut-off here.." then you hear background noise but no one answers, they just breathe in the phone.
We you do speak and say hello..they hang up on you. This is harassment!
FRAUD NUMBER- ASKING FOR 16 DIGIT CREDIT CARD NUMBER OF MY CAPITAL ONE CARD!
I PICK UP BUT NO ANSWER- I CALL IT BACK AND IT IS A MESSAGE ASKING FOR MY CARD NUMBER!
They just called me at 11:15 PM
what a freeking pain in the patutie - oh i c - it is capital one. the worst credit card in the world.. no matter how loyal you are and how that you are perfect in making payments- just having one lowers your credit score. so linda take that and shove it up your butt.
hi this is linda from capitol one, and i have 175 different phone numbers to call you from and to harrass you!!!!
I keep getting calls from this number askiing for "Steven" but no matter how many times I have told them, there is no Steven at this number they keep calling. Damn don't people listen?
A good idea is to buy a cheap pre-paid phone and give that number out to all creditors - then put the phone on silent and check it from time to time... or when you can make a payment =)
I didn't know who is was and they didn't leave a message. Probably a scam
Capitol one Linda trying to sell something
Called my cell phone and left no message.
This is the 3rd different number that has called saying "This is Linda and I'd like to talk to you about opportunities at Capital One." I don't own a Capital One card. I think it's a scam so they can get my money.
I missed a call from this # Sat 5/8 @ 10AM PST & got the same msg when I returned the call. Bunk!
Another clown call....yukyuk
Left no voicemail. Called at exactly 3 p.m. on 5/6/10. When I tried calling back, the recording said subscriber has chosen not to receive incoming calls.
went to voicemail. no message
Called my cell phone, left no message. I returned call and block my phone #. Message said, "At the requst of the subscriber, this number does not accept phone calls."
Didn't recognize number so didn't pick it up. Caller didn't leave message.
CALLED MY CELL NO MESS!!???
I just got off the phone with a guy. He, first, tried to tell me that my payment was due. I told him that I know that it's not due for another 2 weeks. He then told me that he could take payment over the phone so that I could avoid late fees. I, once again, told him that there would be no late fees because the payment isn't due yet. He then told me that I needed to pay the bill by the end of the month. Why do I need to pay the bill by the end of the month, if it's not due at that point.
These people call me many times a day, and I have no idea why. I'm not over my limit, and pay my bill every month on time, in full. It's making me want to just not use the card anymore at all.
It's Capital One Credit Card Collections department
Capital One.....calling looking for someone else who had cell number over 18 months ago.....relentless....calling from 10 numbers 5 times a day for last 10 days. Spoke to someone finally (not very good English) and notified them they were harrassing a 10 years old and that the person they were looking for hadn't had this number in more than 18 months and to STOP CALLING!!!! They said they would but give them 24-48 hours....all ready 3 calls since I notified them of wrong number....we'll see if it stops in a day or so.
There seems to be two different scams operating from this number.
The first one is an offer to lower your credit card interest rates. The second is the old "prize pitch" where they tell you that you've won a prize (a vacation, for example), but need to pay a fee or buy something to receive your prize.
Obviously, both offers are bogus. The only thing that you'll end up with is a bunch of headaches from either a stolen identity or frivolous credit charges.
Super Bowl Sunday 2:30PM. This is a sacrilege on Super Bowl day. It must be Capital One collection. Went to voice mail but no message left. There other number which I receive 6-7 times a day is 877-801-2498. They are merciless and I have tried to keep up payments. Not anymore.
Called at 8:20am on a Sunday morning... need I say more!
As mentioned by "bob", it was a recorded message about credit card rates. The message was very garbled and then cut off part way through.
called cellphone..recorded message stating you're credit card account...and you need to call....DON'T!!!just hang up!There is NOTHING wrong with you're account.Ignore it.
Same, no message
Let the call go to my voice mail. No message.
Called at 8:50 PM, one of over a dozen Capital One numbers. I've been making the minimum payments, they keep harassing me to try to get me to somehow cough up more money. 8+ times a day when I'm paying their minimum payment, on time, every month, is just ridiculous. Screw these guys, I'd try to work it out if they weren't so obnoxious but this makes me want to declare bankruptcy just to stick it to them.
Another message-less early morning call from Capitol One; I have 2 accounts in good standing - 1 more call from these assholes and I'm going to cancel both of them, cut their cards up and mail them to their CEO.
e pluibus unim third number. I missed one payment in five years. they do not leave voice mail
Linda @ cap one has "opportunities". Retd call. Refused to give my acct #. Person came on line. Is a collection call. Changed to email billing and I must've missed the bill. Linda's msg is very deceptive for a collections call.
Continually get calls from Capital one using different numbers! 813-274-1837, the latest one. It is a nuisance for the phone to keep ringing. They aren't suppose to call me at all.
It's Capital One and they have no souls.
Citifinacial is a legit company. They manage credit for dozens of companies. If they are calling you it is about a loan or revolving credit account you have. Some of the big names are Home Depot, Exxon Mobil, City Mattress, Haverty's furniture, and many others. If they are calling you from this number, you are probably late on one of your installment plans.
This is one of 10 numbers that Capital One have called me from. It started around July 21st and went on until August 1st. Then nothing and it started up again on August 17th. Same numbers, same stupid message from "Linda" calling to tell me about some "special opportunities" - always the same annoying recorded message asking me to call back a special 800 number (800-955-6600). At least 2-4 calls every day starting as early as 8:30 am and going right up until 8:40 pm at night. They even called on a SUNDAY!!! This is now bordering on harassment! This is the same as another person who reported this same thing below.
nuber shown but no voice mail left... calls over and over and over...
THREE calls on a SUNDAY - 10:07 a.m., 1:09 pm and 6:29 p.m. I have been keeping a log of all the calls because I am getting fed up and ready to report them. This is now bordering on harassment! I don't even have an account with them!
yes, it is capital one. same with 801-943-0000, 757-483-4840, 951-243-2302, 215-977-7223, 816-420-4003, 562-483-7846, 559-332-2306, 714-374-8035 plus unknown or private. I had 57 phone calls in 5 days. I guess the reason was I made my payment online after 2 pm and it didn't post on time? are they so desperate for a $30.00 late fee? I don't even owe more than $100. I will close that account this week. the harassment is ridiculous.
if this capital one they really need to stop playing these stuped little games of calling from all the differnt numbers trying to get people to answer and when you do answer no one is there they ack like kids shame
I didn't know the number, didn't answer it.
Capital One does this from time to time, calling over and over, leaving no message, or hanging up without a word if I actually answer. Our card with them is in pristine condition so they have no reason to harrass it. If they want to change the terms of my card, WRITE ME!! By the way, I'm off on sick leave at the moment and calling me early on a Sunday, especially on Fathers' Day is an outrage. Give it a rest!!
They called at 5:43pm on Tuesday asking for my mother. He used the words "Urgent", "Very Important". My mom is sick and was sleeping. He left this call-back number 1-800-532-7320 for me to give to her. She says it's CitiFinancial calling about her car loan.
yip It's Capital One Showers Leshaun they call all day all night 7 days a week/ If you were laid off and can not pay no matter how many times you tell them you are waiting for unemployment they will keep calling to hear the story over and over.
Number unknown to me. The left no message.
Who is this? I don't have the foggest idea who is calling. They never leave a message. If it is Capital One there is no reason to call me.
well it was on my callerID and i was trippin i thought it was my brother who has a972 number and works for the gov and it said CITI period i still dont know who they are!
Got a call that caller id said was Incomplete Data. Did the *69 and tracked the number on here to read that it is from Citi. I don't have but one credit card and it is our business card and certainly not from Citi. If we need anything for personal use we pay cash. No clue.
the calls are NOT coming from Killer Creative Group-- the phone number FORMERLY belonged to KCG years ago and still shows up on a few web directories...but it is not us, so please refrain from complaining to us--- The site to go to to remove your name is www.919-359-0144.com
called, hung on the line and then hung up.I do not own anyone money or owe any money to collection agency of any kind so I think it is a non profit or scammers calling.I am on the DNC list and have filed a complaint with the ftc.
I get a call from this number at least 5 times a day...I do not know who it is so I do not answer. They NEVER leave a message so I would assume it is a creditor of some sort (they are all after me too...lol) and it is getting anyone as they always seem to call when I am doing something and not near the phone. I think they are watching me!! :-)
These jerkoffs call at least once a day. A reverese lookup results in the company being:Killer Creative Group
293 Wyndfall Lane
Clayton, NC 27527
Art Galleries & Dealers
I agree with Preacher Bob.., why would I go to their web site and give them my number. It's clear they are using a dialer. So, why confirm a number by entering it. I will spend my time, however, finding ways to relentlessly call their number and post it on every roadside gas-station restroom, park restroom, bar restroom, and porn sites that I can find.
no name annoying answered no one on line or no one answered.... this is really getting to be bothersome.... calls all the time.. and I have been on do not call list and am not going to go to a site to enter my number to be removed... go to hell
You can be removed from their calling list by going to their web site and entering your number. The site is www.919-359-0144.com
Called on Sunday evening and asked for information which they should have already had. Outrageous!!!
This is Citifinancial. It can be a credit card OR car loan payment that is past due.
Citi Corp. Called for co-worker. When I told Him (Hector) he got irate and started yelling. I tried to explain it was a workplace and personal calls are not allowed and he started getting even more mad. I finally had to hang up and he just kept calling and trying to make me argue with him. Is this crap legal?
This is CitiCards. They finance a variety of retail and gas cards.... if you are receiving phone calls its regarding a past due account that you have or simply for the wrong person. Just tell them the phone number they are calling you at and they can search for who and what account they are calling for. If its wrong number they can remove it.
Call my cell phone 3 to 5 times a day 7 days a week. They have been told its a cell and illegal to answer while driving. Stepped up calls when mentioned BK.
this is the first one from this number but I get calls from 972 655 5217 at least 3 times a day 7 days a week. i am close to changing my cell number that i have had for 5 years just to shake em off. credit cards suck in general. if everyone stops paying the fees, hopefully they will crumble.
They keep calling me. Today I got this call twice. Once at 10:32 AM which I ignored, and once at 2:53 PM which I answered only to get the automated reply asking we to "stay in the line for the next available representative" (I hung up).
My cell phone is number is brand new and I have never given it to anyone outside my family. I only give out my land line #, never my cell phone #.
Also, my phone number has already been listed in the National Do Not Call registry (donotcall.gov) for well over 31 days.
This is not CitiCorp's collection agency. If it was, it would be an 800 number. I've talked to them several times and the last time threatened to have them investigated for fraud and phishing and since they've left me alone. It won't let me copy the info (thank you, Lynx browser), but you can get their location and such at rschrey.phonesrch.hop.clickbank.net (a link that was suggested to me by a friend when I spoke to him about said phone issues). I used the info obtained from this service to register a complaint with my local police department and the Better Business Bureau. I suggest everyone else do the same, and hopefully with enough complaints this scam will be shut down.
It was a collection agency calling about my Home Depot card. Dumb me, I forgot to update my new billing information after I moved and forgot to make my payment. No worries, everything is taken care of.
This time they left a message - something for Jerry Brown since I live in CA and don't like invasion of privacy. The voice said this is not business. You're damned right, it's an intrusion. Write me a litter if it's that important. Until then I will assume you are an ID thief making vain attempts, or a government goon abusing power. You will get no response on the telephone unless you say who you are and what your business is and you have business with me, or if you are known to me. We know there are exceptions to the Do Not Call List. I doubt this is one of them coming from an unlisted number. I did the White Pages Reverse search on it and whoever it is won't make me spend fourteen bucks to bother finding out. Some things should stay in Texas. That much I already knew.
We have nothing with Citi Corp. They are a real pain, calling 16 minutes apart day in and day out. I have told them to take us off their list, but to no avail. Will have to turn them in, this is getting ridiculous!!!
I have 2 citibank accounts and arrangements have been made. They still keep calling though. I suspect it is the Goodyear card since I owe the most there.
This call comes in constantly. Caller ID says CTI and the number always come up (972) 653-1000 and (972) 655-0010. Today alone I had 6 calls on my home phone from these numbers. When you call back all you get is Thank you for calling Citi Cards Our Office is now closed... Guess what I don't have a Citi Bank Account so I am guessing it is fraud so watch out.
This number called our business, looking for an employee that is no longer with the company. Its some type of collection agency.
No message. I let the machine answer the phone. Just an automated recording saying sorry I had to wait so long, then someone came on said hello and hung up.
I answered and there was a recorded message saying there was important info about my home depot account(that I don't have)press 1 for english. So I called my local Home Depot and spoke to CS she said to not answer any call like that and to call back in the morning to talk to the computer room/office
They are tryin to oollect a past due debt thats their own fault
If they were not money grubbers out trying to scerw people over they would have had their money
No but they want to play games
People In Hell Will Get Ice-Water and Air Conditioning before they ever get anymore of my money
AM I PISSED YOU BET
stop this! I do not want to receive this calls anymore. They are annoying!!
Had a recorded message regarding CitiCards. Stated it wasn't a sales call. Got another call and I answered, but no one responded.
They've called twice in the past week and it's a Texas area code, that's all I've been able to figure out. This is my cell phone # and they don't leave a message.
We've been getting calls from this phony outfit for weeks, if not months. They always ask for cc#, or SS#, and if you don't give them those, then they ask for just the last 4 digits of SS#. No way, jose. Not gonna get it. So we asked them to send us a bill (they said we owed $90 for a citi health card, which we've never had, and the last citi account we had was closed in 1999, and credit report shows this to be true). So we ask them to send us a bill, and they hang up. Every time. FTC, here I come. I'm lawyered up.
A cell phone I don't know who the person is. It is a woman who does not identify herself.
Would like to know who she is.
This is Citibank Collections. They also use 423-477-6983 and 972-655-0010. Want to get rid of them? Call (866)458-7618 and tell them that you do not have a Citibank card or a Home Depot card or any late charge card that is owned by Citibank and they will take you off their auto-dialer. Just press the "Language" key prompt and wait through the rest of the prompts and someone will answer. Done.
they called. I had no balance. Not sure what they wanted. Maybe selling insurance?
this number (CTI on called ID) has called 5 times this week. Left one prerecorded message with a call back number. Just called again at 8:30 AM. Stop calling me!
called and hung up
Somebody gave them my number as their home phone.
They took my number off their list. They asked for a Mariya, obviously wrong number.
He said he was from Citi Card and that we were 6 days late on a payment. This is a scam!!!! I have not had a Citi Card for about 8 years. He was trying to get information.
I too called and the lady asked for my SS# which I did not give her. I think bottom line is that this is fishy and no one should be giving out any of their personal information. If you have an account with a company they should leave you a message and say they are calling about a specific account # ending in and then the last four digets. Seems this company has gotten their hands on a list and is calling to get personal info. for their own personal use.
I don't even have a Citi card...they must have me confused with the previous owner of this phone number.
I called the number back and they asked if I had a CITI account and I probably do but I never use it so then they asked for my social security number. Wait a minute! I don't think so. I asked that they take me off their calling list and they didn't say they would. Strange. Very strange.
Called for the umpteenth time @ 1:15PM EDT 16 July 2007. Lady: "May I speak with ________?". Me: "There's no one here by that name". Lady: "Thank you.". She hung up. This number shows up on caller ID daily but now that there's been notification that the requested party does not live here, it will be interesting to see if it shows again.
said they were from citi corp. when i called my card co. they told me they had no record of anyone calling me. she said not to answer because it could be fraudulent.
They asked for someone I don't know and appoligized. They called 4 times within 1/2 hr. I blocked the number but the log shows they are still calling.
This dang number keeps calling me on my cell...upwards of 10 calls a day.. it is always dead air. This is irritating and it wastes my time and minutes.
Filed a report for wrong number.
Multiple calls from this number, all times of day including just after 8AM! (thought they couldn't call before 9AM).
Mostly no messages. Once or twice, message with a toll-free number to call but doesn't say who or what is calling.
Apparently some ass is giving my number as his home number. If this is a collection agency call, this jerk is racking up A LOT of debt. I got other calls asking for the same jerk 9never heard of him).
CTI- But when I got a human they said they wanted a donation from me for the Police fund. Anyone else get this one?
Received a call yesterday. I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. Today I called the number and immediatley they wanted my credit card #. When I asked which card, they said Citi card, I told them I don't have that card. Then I hung up.
Yeah, they called me twice but I don`t answer because I don`t know the number.
These retards have been calling my house for 3 years asking for the wrong person.
Caller ID as CTI. No message.
These calls should be reported to the PUC.
These morons call our house anytime from 7 am till 9 pm including Saturdays and Sundays! I so want to pick the phone up and give 'em a good ole' Southern cussin' but it's our policy to NEVER answer unidentified calls. This is the only reason we keep our landline and don't give our cell phones numbers out at all. From what I see here, we have no dealings with these people. If they are stupid enough to continue calling a number that won't answer, then have at it. Our phone has an off button!!
I stopped paying on my Home Depot card, can't afford to pay anymore... Trying to collect their money
I did not answer the call and no idea why they called me.
Will not speak English...
No message. I called back because this happens frequently. He asked what I was calling about. I said I don't know. He asked if I had a home depot, shell or Sears card. I said no. He said well, I can't pull up an account. It just gets so maddening. Choking is too good for them.
Please stop calling. I would really hate to use dirty language, but if i have to i will.
this person does not live here. pleasse take me off this list.
annoying cock suckers call 3 times a day. I hope they all die in a firey plane crash.
I got these guys to stop calling me by using a free letter on www.adviceontime.com i want to thank mark for giving me the website.
Friggin Stalker Home Depot.
Card is up to date ...no balance..still get a zillion calls from these morons
Won't leave a message, looks like Home Depot. If they just left a message, I would call them back to take care of whatever problem existed.
Left a pre-recorded message to call their 800 number regarding my account (which I don't have). However, it's a legit number for Citi/Sunoco collections; in my case they're looking for someone who conveniently gave out the wrong number (being mine) in their application. Call them back and they'll kindly take your number off their lists if it's in error.
Hope Depot, shmo depot ... leave a message and I'll call back, duh.
no one was there when I answered
They call constantly so maybe if they would leave me a message I would call them back! I NEVER answer unknown calls!!!
SO leave a message and maybe your matter will get taken care of!!!!
I threatened them with their life, then asked the woman what she was wearing. And if she knew what Jack the Ripper did.
citi cards suck
You answer the phone it says stay on the line for an important message. Good idea call me and put me on hold.
Didn't answer this call but the caller also didn't leave a message.
Just the number. They have called 3 times in the past week. They won't leave a message.
Just the number
THIS IS ANNOYING!
Citi Corp financial collections.
