The phone is ringing, and I don't recognize the number, All Caller ID says is, "NAME UNAVAILABLE".
Please help me figure out who is calling and what they want
home survey | homesurvey |
homesurvey calls from 9 phone numbers:
The usual free, wireless home security system scam robocall. If they were legit, they wouldn't be violating the Do Not Call law.
Until these people start losing friends and loved ones, they will probably never respect the Do Not Call list.
Does anyone know any way to make these ridiculous calls STOP?? they are constant from everywhere.
No message left, calls and hangs up.
..nothing that hasn't already been said. "NoMoreRobo" doesn't work either (just another DNC that perpetuates this cra-.). The pc & the internet have borne an entire generation of frauds, scams & Thieves that will do Anything besides a real job. These .."people".. think what they do IS one!!
Security on CID.
Robocall (illegal) trying to push a home security system. Pressed 2 to be removed and had nothing but silence and eventual hang-up. Called the number back and a recording immediately picks up and says to push any number to be removed. Same thing - silence & hang up, no confirmation.
Got a call @1:09pm 1/9/14 to landline ph # CID said Security. Man started to leave msg on ans mach & after 2 words (not understandable) hung up.
Was not home to answer...have had to quit leaving voice mail on due to these morons...What part of DO NOT CALL don't they understand?
no message left, no idea who "security" is
My daughter answered and recieved a message saying something to this, "This is not a sales call. A murder has happened in your area." Then a disconnect. What is this all about?
This thread contains another copy/paste garbage post from the Toronto SPAMMER.
You have seen his multi-page off-topic posts many times.
This one hides legitimate security system scam posts.
Called around 1:20 p.m. when I was preparing to leave the house. I noted the caller ID had an unfamiliar area code and said "Security" so I didn't pick up. The machine did - it rang the 6 times - but then evidently hung up half-way through the message so I suspect this is a rip-off type call.
Another Federal Do Not Call robocall violator making the usual "free, wireless, home security system" offer.
repeated calls from this number. id'd as security. i don't respond at all.
Recorded message starts out by saying crime has been increasing in your area. Don't know if sales call or home survey as others are reporting.
called no message left who is security ?
strange calls coming from this number
who is it?
CID "Security". In the past I had pressed "2" to be removed from list put they continue to call.
a call back to the 402# gets me a recorded message asking me to press any number to be removed from the list!
a) I shouldn't have to request to be removed.
b) what if I have a rotary dial phone?
Came in Out of Area hung up after 4 rings.
Home Survey was on my caller ID also. It shows as Rhode Island???
Told me my brain weighs 8 lbs. after I told not to call this number anymore.
Yet another home security scam.
There was a death in the family and we ask them to quite calling and they called more
Free home security system scam. Unbreakable lifetime contract required, no way to cancel without huge penalties.
Did not recognize phone number and don't know anyone in Rhode Island so i didn't pick up, seems to be another telemarketer based on reports from others. being on the DoNotCall registry and reporting these guys to the FTC and FCC doesn't seem to help.
I was actually home. I try to pick up so I can get my number removed. I pressed #1 to talk to someone so I can tell them to remove my number. #2 was that option, but I'm sure I have already tried that. When I got a woman on the phone, I asked to be removed and she said sure and HUNG UP ON ME! And you try to call back and get a busy signal!
I have found THAT IF I DON'T PICK UP, THE CONTINUE TO CALL. I HAVE HAD SUCCESS ANSWERING THE CALL AND HAVING MY NUMBER REMOVED BY LEAVING A MESSAGE OR PRESSING A CERTAIN NUMBER.
IF YOU PICK UP, THE CID SYSTEM REGISTERS THAT THEY HAVE CONNECTED AND WON'T CALL BACK FOR A WHILE.
Why do people think if the phone rings they must answer it? You have
CID, USE IT! Do you let anyone coming to your door into your home? Of
course not. Wake up people, these are crooks, DO NOT ANSWER when they
call you! They manipulate the CID system so the info is probably fake.
If for some insane reason you must answer it's too late! Soon as you
answer you've told them your number is valid. They sell this info to
other scammers. Pushing a # to 'remove yourself from their list' does
absolutely NOTHING for you. Do NOT call them back!
IF YOU DON'T RECOGNIZE THE NUMBER DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE! WAKE UP!
Stop these calls with Phone Tray Pro - www.phonetray.com
The phone block system the phone company charges you for does NOT
block all the calls Phone Tray Pro does. I have NO connection with
Phone Tray Pro, I am simply an EXTREMELY happy customer. Best money
I have ever spent! DIGITONE ($100)(Only blocks 80 #s), TELE ZAPPER,
PRO CALL BLOCKER ($50), CALL BLOCKERs Amazon.com sell etc
don't do nearly what Phone Tray Pro does and cost a LOT more! Don't
waste your money on these worthless gadgets. As of 08/28/13 I have
205 #'s, 12 Wild Card #'s and 18 CID names on my PTP Black List that
will never get through again. The DNC doesn't affect scammers.
Don't be so naive. You can report them to the FTC but honestly when
was the last time the federal government ever did anything for you?
Oh I forgot, Obamacare. Speaking of scams!
Got a call from 4015621453 Warwick, RI. We get calls every day from telemarketers and other scam artist and the do not call list does nothing to stop them. What else can you do to stop these SOB's from calling?
ROBO SPAM CALL, obviously the DNC list is useless, even AFTER Spam Callers are reported to proper authorities.
Does the NO CALL list work at all?! We get several each week from these scam artists and we are on the NO CALL list and we block about 25 independently of the list with a function on our phone. Enough already!!
Hi, this is Operator _ _ _ _, I'm having a great time on board with the captain, Obama, and Romney. We're all having a blast, can't wait to see you! Xoxo, _ _ _ _.

I'll talk with you tomorrow. It's been my pleasure, please hold the line for more information.
this call is from Mitt Romney Trying to get a vote! OBAMA NATION BITCHES! IF YOU DONT LIKE IT, YOU CAN ANSWER THE CALL AND GET YOUR ASS ON THAT BOAT WITH CAPTAIN ROMNEY!
The captain and his company are Obama loving worthless niggers. Thank you.

By the way all this data is public information, therefore is available for any legal use by the annoyed public, compared to what they are doing, which is harassment.
I ansewered the qustion then a real guy came on and said he will send me he tickets
No one there when I answered.
hello stop it john solice sr
As ''W'' suggested, being unlisted does not hide your phone from a sequential dialer. No one with that gadget needs to ''have'' your number. It merely tries every number in creation by rapid brute force. Possibly numbers are flagged for retry according to the response.
I have an unlisted cell phone number, how the hell did they even get it? Ugh, I thought I'd be safe from scams and telemarketers with a cell phone. guess I was wrong. Btw, they were telling me I "won" two tickets to the Bahamas if i pressed 1 on my cell.
Offered "two complimentary boarding passes to the Bahamas" IF i pressed 1 on the phone..uhhh, scam much?
need to know about the cruise i won
Called my unlisted and screened work phone with their stupid message, so they must be using an illegal random dialer. Put it on speaker and wasted their phone-line time until their machine gave up. Pure rip-off. Anyhow, I have been to the Bahamas - and you would have to pay me a great deal to go back (also a pure rip-off). Can we hunt them down and put them into a public pillory?
Im wondering what this is all about?
The government is tapping phones..don't accept the call.
All these ppl want to blow u up..they don't get the vacation they want and all I get is to see cursing words thrown @ you..yeah y is this a scam..I wouldn't do it to u..poorters..kick a brick and break a toe..

Just for the heck of it, I played along with their bait: Your Captain Speaking; Answered 10 automated questions with the promise of 2 free cruise tickets at the completion of the survey; Listened to a spiel from "one of their sponsors" which was a home security company; Talked with live person who asked if this phone number was the best at which to call me and what the zip code is; Automated "Captain" told me to go to www.surveyclaim.com to sign up for the tickets. Needless to say, the whole thing is a scam. They even called me at work, on our unlisted number! How do they get the numbers they call?
fucking bitches i hope they swallow their tongue
These people have started calling me 2-3 times a day, looking for the dead-beats that had my phone # over 10 years ago! I keep telling them, I am NOT who they are looking for, do NOT know the dead-beats, but they keep calling....... What can I do?

Has anyone gotten scammed out of any money? Anyone know how to report this?
They called me a few minutes ago. Heard an automated voice saying my credit card balance is payed in full. I just hung up. Not a good idea to stay on the line with people like these. Probably even a better idea not to answer the call, but if you do, just hang up on them, it's not worth it.
Just received a phone call from this number at my office. Same as Lill below, "a recording saying it was cardholder services and I could lower the interest rate on my credit cards but this was the last notice. Press 1 if you want to lower your rates." Annoyed that I'm getting a telemarketing call at my office, I pressed 1 and spoke VERY briefly to a woman who did not immediately give me her name. She asked if I was responding to the "lower interest rate" offer. I answered yes. Then she asked if I had more than $3,000 in credit card debt. When I answered no, she said, thank you, and hung up on me. Total conversation time; 6 seconds. They will continue to call people regardless of the law until they are stopped.
Asks me if i want to lower the interest rate on my credit cards. Once i ask how they got my number, they hang up on me.
I am looking for more information on the complementary cruise pass I just had confirmed on the telephone from a caller named "The Captain"
wanted to claim my trip
I have learned how to deal with these calls. Reporting the number that is on your Caller ID to the FED or your state’s Attorney General does no good because it is usually either a forged number or it is a number that can not be associated with the caller, and therefore cannot be used to identify the real caller.
You need to get a REAL number that can absolutely identify the caller in order for the FED or your state Attorney General to be able to sue the real culprit. The only way to get that real number is to talk to the caller and turn the tables on him!
When you get this type of call feign interest. That means that if the recorded message asks you to press 9 then go ahead and press 9 to talk to a live person. While they give you their pitch, keep feigning interest. Sound excited that you may be able to have your interest rate reduced. Keep them talking. If they ask you a question, answer it, but don't answer it truthfully (and NEVER give them your Credit Card number or anything else that is real).
After a couple minutes you will have them hooked. That is when you have to go to the bathroom, or check the oven, etc. Ask them if you can call them back in a few minutes and get a phone number from them. Chances are they will give you a real number (and their name). Call that number back a minute or two later and ask for the person that you were speaking to. Talk to them just long enough to ensure that you are talking to the same person and that the same conversation is being continued. At that point, tell them that you are on the Do Not Call List and that you want to be placed on their own internal DO NOT CALL list. Also, let them know that you now have a valid phone number to report to your state of the FED.
I did this a month ago after receiving dozens of calls offering me to reduce my interest rate. When I asked if I could call back I got the number ‘1-866-942-6441’ along with the company name ‘Sapphire Financial’. I called back a minute later and spoke to the same person and the conversation picked up where it left off.
I was able to report all this to my State’s Attorney General and because they have a verified bonafide phone number, the AG can sue the company, which they are in the process of doing so now. Now when they call (and they continue to call) I feign interest so that I can get a verified, bonafide number that can be used to SCREW them both legally and royally
Until you can get a verified bonafide number, there is nothing that you can do. If you can get a verified, bonafide number, the FED or your state’s Attorney General can do something,
By the way….If you do feign interest and they don’t give you a number when you ask….just tell them that you will just call 1-866-942-6441 and ask to speak Jennifer Sallies instead. More than likely they will be calling for Sapphire Financials and hearing their real number and the owner’s name will really BLOW their mind.
Have some fun at these jerks expense rather than getting aggravated
I was called by the caption saying that I won a cruise for two and i was ready 2 go but I knew it was a crock of shit anyways by I was ready to get away before I started school.

Offered to lower interest rate on my existing credit cards.
I talked "Chris Johnson" past verifying my name. He wouldn't give me his phone number (obviously didn't know) but said it should be on my caller ID. He also stated that the phone number did not take inbound calls unless I become a customer, so I couldn't call him back.
I got him to agree that he would not ask for my personal financial information over the phone on a call that I didn't initiate.
After about 10 minutes, he asked me a credit card number in good standing so that he could verify my eligibility for their program.
He assured me that he wasn't charging my card, just checking my balance and last payment.
Of course I refused. He said that consumer protection laws cover me against unauthorized charges. I still refused.
He said that I obviously was not interested in lowering my credit card rates.
I said that I wasn't interested in being scammed. He hung up.
did i win?
and how do claim my prize?
Same happened to me Today. Apparently these guys don't respect the "do not call" list.
I'm going to file a complain.
They called a team # (rang at many desks). I have asked them to remove us before, they call regarding free cruise, and now to lower interest rates. Since I asked them to remove the numbers before, I don't believe they can call, but when I try to register a complaint at the dnc govt site I lock up. Nice.
Answered the phone and had a recording saying it was cardholder services and I could lower the interest rate on my credit cards but this was the last notice. Press 1 if you want to lower your rates. I get the same recording at least 15 to 20 times a week. So I press 1 and a man came on the line asking if I wanted to lower my rates and I told him to stop calling, this is a business and I was tired of them calling. He started arguing with me that they have never called before. When I told him I was tired of this, he hung up.
I recieved a message about 5:30 oklahoma time looked up the page and found it to be a joke ....This is bullshit id like to ring that guys neck...
A LOT OF PEOPLE MISS THE POINT.
These crooks are telemarketing against the state laws.
DON'T YOU ALL REALIZE THAT THEY POST FAKE TESTIMONIES IN THESE ALERT PAGES?
Please wake up and smell the coffee!
They are simply doing ILLEGAL activities.

same bullcrap somebody needs to do something about this ediot
same here. i scrolled down i read some different points of view about these crooks. i agree with the person that suggests to stay on the phone as long as possible-as long as it does not interfere with anything else in ur life) and at least waist their time and perhaps avoid someone more gullable to fall in this disgraceful scam. One interesting reaction I am having thinking about it is that at least the people that are actually calling us are making a paychek. didn't we understand what broought our country to this recession, lies and greed whatare these young callers thinking*&^^they still truely think that going on in patterns of greed and lies will benefit them? sad.
got same bullshit as everyone else 2 tickets for cruize BULLSHIT
THIS IS SO SAD
these god damn retards are full of shit i talked to the captain and he said i was a winner thats a crock of fuckin shit
lmb i want my tickets
If you take a few minutes to search on the Net about this topic, you can quickly realize that the Credit Card scam related to gifts and/or low interest rate offers has been going on since at least, 2003. I've read enough on this subject to come to the conclusion that these call centers (wherever they are located in the world) operate without any fear of being caught. They cause hundred of thousand dollars losses daily to the credit card companies and guess what? The credit card companies pass their losses to the users who are…you and me. As of today, these pirate call centers are still operating in full force across North America. They have found the loophole for escaping from FBI and RCMP. The typical “model citizen” usually reports the fraud to the attorney or local police. I have news for you. You can file as many complains as you want to the authorities, they just can’t catch them! You can threaten of reporting their annoying calls to the phone companies, you can swear, being rude, vulgar with them – They are the ones controlling the game. They just hang up (laughing) until they receive a call from the next gullible person (and the wheel keeps turning). Whatever you do or say, you won’t be taken off their automated calling list. The heads of these scam acts like a computer virus. They are very much up to date with the changing law enforcement techniques and like a moving target, they disappear in the field. You can find numerous blogs and discussion forums related to this scam (this one is one of them). For every thread on the Net that exposes their illegal activities, they have members posting a message denying complains of people who got ripped off. They introduce contradicting information in blogs in order to confuse people who are unsure about the legitimacy of their offers. They have fake web sites, fake names, fake addresses, etc. Based on these facts, I think the only thing that can be done is to interfere with their practices. How can this be done? By “putting a stick in their wheel", hitting the weakest spot – their need to grab personal information from you. I’ve been practicing for quite a few times now and you’d be impressed by how patient they become when they feel that they have you as a fish on their hook. Again, the only power you have over them is to spend as much time as you can to waste THEIR time. This time you spend with them is time that they can’t use for screwing other people. I've learned a lot from reading in threads on the Net. Here is what I started doing: the principle is to play the game of being interested by their offer, providing fake information, pretending, acting, and creating delays. I hear you say that you don’t know how to reach them because whenever they call you because your call I.D. shows: 123-456-7890 (or any other spoofed phone i.d.). Didn’t I tell you they were smart? Here are a few numbers that still work as of today: 1 800-501-0100 (to reach the vacation trip scam) | 1 888-786-6201 or 1 800 943-3250 or 1 800-961-9830 (to reach the MCS credit card interest rate scam). If you need more numbers you can with a little effort “google” the name of the organization along with in the search field and it should pull more numbers to call to. Finally, here is my recipe for a great "obstruction" session upon these scammers: 1) take a hands free phone (portable is even better as you can still conduct you home activities) 2) get them to go through their entire sales pitch by encouraging and acknowledging every once in a while 3) make it last as long as your time permits (they are the one assuming the charges of the “1-800” communication). 4) When you feel that they suspect your “game” (or when you’re bored whichever comes first), find a nice and polite way to tell them that they've just wasted 15-20 minutes (sometimes more) of their precious time stealing other gullible people. I guarantee you that you will get some reaction at the other end of the line. Give them a ride and flood their phone lines! Make their life as miserable as they do to us. HEARING THEIR FRUSTRATION IS A GREAT REWARD AND PURE PLEASURE. Don’t be intimidated if they threaten you of anything, they are totally harmless.

Received a message from, "This is your captain."Taking a survey, Stay on the line and win a trip to the Bahammas----- This is crap.... How do we stop this?!
I was supposed to get a free cruise for 2 to rhe bahamas
I got a call from 000-000-0000 like everyone else. Answered the dumb survey and gave my postal code to a lady (who was really bitchy!).
I hope they can't do anything to me with my name & postal code.....
I want to report them to the Canadian national "do not call" list but I don't have a number to report :(

I also recieved that phone call at 8:29pm on November 11,2008. From a man who said he was a Captain and that If I answer a few simple questions, that I would recieve 2 boarding passes to the Bahamas. Now since I gave you my time and answered you questions. I want to know where are my boarding passes? Something needs to happen. You have my phone number and I want an answer.
They need to quit doing this to people, because one day it will catch up to them!!!!!
after taking your survey and went to the site you told me to go to i came up with this, well i am a federal agent and i will be looking it this.
Yeah what they said I supposedly won to tickets for a cruise
I was told that if I answered survey questions I would be awarded an all inclusive cruise for two to the Nassau/Bahamas
my name is what this cruise is worth whoever is doing this you got alot of time on your hands find something eles because i agree with the last guy the captain is bullshit "wake up the ship has sank "
fuck the captain!!! This is all a bunch of bull-shit. what is the point behind the stupid questions?
I received a call from the Captain tonight (phone number 000-000-0000). I punched random answers to the survey questions just to get through to a human. I did! When I asked her why she was able to call me even though my number is registered on the Federal do not call list, she hung up on me!
FYI - I've seen other postings from people who did give their credit card/banking information. It didn't work out so well and they're having trouble getting back the extra money that was taken.
There is a police department that deals with Telemarketing and Internet scams, Phone Busters.
My Name is Julius King. Julius has received two phone calls about this trip on a cruise ship. Julius has not heard a response from the Captain. Please insure Julius that this is not a joke or prank. Julius would like to hear something soon. Please contact Julius at email@example.com. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Sincerly: Julius King
My Name is Julius King. I have received two phone calls saying I won two tickets on a cruise ship. Julius is beginnning to wonder if this is true or a scam. Please inform me of the results of my winnings. People are wondering the same thing. Julius would like to know, when are the boarding passes showing up. Please email Julius at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please let me know something as soon as possible. Sincerly: Julius King
I received this call on Nov 4, 2008. A recorded message from "the captain" came on and proceeded to give me instructions on how to complete the survey. I was offered 2 free tickets to the bahamas!!! Well, I did complete the survey and then was directed to surveyclaim.com. I tried to check the the telephone number because it was so odd. The number was 000-000-0000. This has got to be a scam!!!! Freakin losers...tying up my time like that and ME being so foolish to believe that I would get something for nothin!!! This does not happen in THIS world...The guy was right about nothing being free...not even the air for your freakin tires!!!! lol
Okay we get it, this is a scam! But the other weird part is that, all of the messages below say the same shi*t! LOL. It's probably themselves writing these messages, how lame, im changing my number, losers.
told me i have 2 tickets to the bahamas i know this is a scam
I was called to take a survey and was offered 2Tickets for a Nasau Bahamas Cruise.
Don't waste your time - this is a rip off
I would really love to have these tickets to the Bahamas! I've never had the time or money to buy some of my own, so now that I have the time I don't have the money. So, I'm pretty sure you know how bad I want this for me!!
how do i get this cruise as you say
ha - they said I'd won 2 tickets to the Bahamas. Answer 10 questions and they'll be yours. I did. Now type in your postcode and your phone no. I did. And the website doesn't even work !!!! I tried to send a complaint and .. guess ... the website rejected the message. If it's a scam, they got me ... the wankers.
too good to be true ; i normally just hang up but thought i would answer the questions this time, dont suppose i should be heading to town to buy new dresses yet
They call my phone at work and everyone hangs up on them. They have called for weeks. I finally listened to it and did they survery. I was told i had 2 ticket just like everyone else. This is stupid and i wish someone would consider filing a law suit because this is false advertisment and it WILL stop....
I did everything they wanted and they said to use my phone number and zipcode tried and it seems like it is a scam cause nothing came up
That I had two (2) tickets for a cruise to the Bahamas
I'll be expecting your call within 2 days time and of course the two free cruise tickets to the bahamas as well, otherwise don't waste my time by lying to me just to get a survey or a sale for a home security system.
is this a scam?
that i had two tickets to the bahamas
this is your captain etc take survey receive a free cruise to surveyclaim my husband is an attorney send the tickets
Can you please call me back regarding the free cruise to the Bahamas that was promised by your survey company?
--Diana Hilbe 951-685-7880 or my cell phone for easier access: 951-536-7964
I received a call from Unavailable and I pressed button responses for a free 2 boarding passes to bahamas. He said I would get call in 24 hrs from HomeSecurity Services and to login to www.surveyclaim.com, however this wasn't showing anything and I put this into the google search bar and found this site.
I got a call. HE said this is your captain speaking, do this survey you earn two boarding passes to the Bahamas I gave them my name, phone number & zip code. Was told to go on line to survey claim. com, to fill out my information & that someone would be in touch with me within 72 hours. Yes I think we have been scammed, but for what I dont know. They didnt get any vital information.Oh well I guess I answered 10 Questions for not a thing.
It is a violation of the FTC Telecommunications Act of 1996 for anyone to call a cell phone using an automated dialer. This includes outbound IVR, Predictive Dialers, and Auto Dialers (Outbound IVR was used in this case by Answer Solutions/Householdsurvey.com on behalf of their client Regal Empress/Imperial Majesty Cruise Line). Any company that violates this act owes $500 PER NUMBER CALLED. That's right, this company now owes you $500 minumum if they called your cell phone(and a big fine of $500 per cell number that they have ever called). In order to collect you need a recording of the call (use a handheld digital recorder and save the file) the date/time of the call, and the number they reached you at (your cell phone in this case). You will need to have legal papers drawn up (or google the right form language and send it along with a letter of intent to file against them to Answer Solutions along with a copy of the recording). An enterprising attorney could file a class action suit and wipe out both Answer Solutions and the Regal Empress (plus make great money for themselves in the process)
Note that the Act I mentioned would allow them to hand dial cell phone numbers but that is not the case here. If they called you on your land line you are out of luck.
I must be an idiot I almost fell for I would never give personal info out over the phone
I never get involved in these, but was tempted by just answering 10 questions. Strange - they haven't got any other details - what ARE they up to? I doubt well get our cruise, just as well, I can';t afford the passport at the moment!!!
I just had the same experience as described below, 30 minutes ago: horn blowing, Captain speaking, 2 free passes to the Bahamas, answering 10 questions, gave my name and postal no., and the website householdsurvey.com to confirm my reward. Of course, after going through the website for 15 minutes, I realized that I was scammed. Just a trick for people to check their website, I suppose. That's why they didn't ask for info that's too sensitive. I also noticed that there's nowhere on the website where we can actually gave the visitor their contact info--no phone number, no email address! That means, they don't want anyone to find them or to bother them! The only difference I have than the rest of the people before me was that the phone number that showed up on my caller ID was 1-808-371-0359. I haven't called that no. back cause I don't want to be charged for it. Who do we report to anyway?
just had the same message and the same questions what is this going to cost me
My Mother got this phone call while recuperating from double pneumonia in the hospital. They called saying this is your captain speaking, and wanted her to complete a 10 question survey. At the end they told her she won and asked her name and number and wanted to know if she paid her bills by credit or check. This is a complete scam, just trying to get money from people. Please do not go to the web site or waste your time.
Just got the exact same call with the captain and the ridiculous horn!A litlle piss'd that My husband and I aren't really going 2 Bahamas 4 free but hey could be worse, could have given a cc#!!
The captain sounds like a right wanker. I wouldn't want to sail anywhere with him - I'd rather swim and take my chances with the sharks.
does anyone know how to stop these calls !!
I received late evening a call from 8087839321 asking me to take a survey to win cruise tickets. I knew it was a scam but was curious what they would ask. They ask 10 questions and then live person came to phone asking what names i wanted to read on the ticket and ask for zip code and confirm my phone number. He then directed me to website www.householdsurvey.com. Then it followed by another recording.
They did not ask for anything legal such as bank accounts or social security number or birthdate, so it did not worry me so much but it was strange call.
I got the same message containing 10 questions to answer. then it was transfered to a customer service agent and she asked for the initial details. the refered website was the same as www.householdsurvey.com. its strange to know that the people are using now telephone as well for the scam purposes. thanks for alerting us.
I get this same call every month.. well today I decided to take the survey just for laughs, and answered the 10 questions and then spoke with a live American operator, who only asked for my zip code and confirmed my home phone #. And told me a rep would call me in 48-72 hours..Told me to go the website u all mention and log on and view my info to see if its correct, and told me I log on by entering in telephone # and zip. I didn't go to the website. I found this one instead.. so I'm pretty sure its fake because how could they afford to give us all a free cruise for a rinky dink survey that has generalized questions? Anyways the lady told me I'd receive my tickets in the mail.I get 100 calls a day from scammers
rec. call for a free cruse to the Bahamas....
what is this shit do i really get a cruise to the bahamas
I received a call from 808-954-5062 telling me I had won 2 cruise tickets if I would take a survey and go to householdsurvey.com. I am assuming this is a scam.
Automated message blowing horn saying I could win a trip to Nassau, Bahamas for taking a survey.
The web site exists. It does NOT load a Trojan on your computer. These scams are bad enough without alarmists making them worse. I bet you pass on every alarming scam email too.
Just hang up and put your number in the Do Not Call Registry. If that fails, just HANG UP. No one is forcing you to stay on the line, and for the person asking if they should be worried, yes, yes you should be. Telemarketing scam artists will come to your home, throw survey wrapped stones through your window and refuse to leave until you fill them out.
"Just tell us who your long distance carrier is and no one gets hurt".
You should be worried about blatantly showing your stupid side in public.
from reading other peoples reports, mine is very similar.Horn blows,10 questions, boarding ship at NaseauDid mention 65$ per person costs.
I was also called last night. They said it was the captain and if I answered those questions I would get a curise to the Bahamas.
They called many times and i have been told that i have been taken off of the call list but the calls persist.
Bogus survery company.
just got this call and the number is the same thing as project abrahams for the ps3 game resistance 2 so i though it was for this
I just got the call tonight and thought this is too good to be true, so i came straight on here to check i didnt even open their webpage because underneath was 'householdsurveyscam 'cant they get done for this its false advertising i wouldnt off done the bloody survey if i wasnt going to the bahamas lol.
Same as all the other messages - did called ID - number withheld
I received a call in regards to the same thing from bank of hawaii cntct# 808 954-5062
I just put in any old number for each question, but then when I entered "99" I got a recorded message to say that my phone number had been removed from their database. Maybe worth a try?
This is a BIG BIG SCAM. I repeat SCAM.
Do not fall for it.
where are my tickets for the cruise
To good to be true!!!
"Hello, this is your captain speaking. We are offering you two tickets to Nassau, Bahamas in exchange for 10 questions.........don't miss the boat, press 1 now" or something like that. Number is out of area. Called me 3 times this week.
just received call from household survey offering trip to nassau answered survey gave name and postal code now am worried said will get back to me in 48 to 72 hours tried link on internet no link what a load of rubbish get rid of these people blacklist them
i just got that call 2 minutes ago and went straight onto then web page and found these comments what a joke. Why not be honest with people im sure we'd still do the survey if we weren't recieving anything. But the fact that they make it sound good and it's a lie is a complete joke.
I have just had a phone call, in the background sounded like a ship that I have just won a trip to Bahamas. I answered the survey, stupid me and gave away information and was told to go to household survey.com to verify information. Then they will get in touch said something about paying 58 pounds when getting the ticket. I feel this is one big scam, different from the usual.
i got da call 2day and went straight 2 da library and got on da internet and found these comments. they help 2 believe that it was 2 good 2 be true.
says free bermuda cruise for 2,ask about cars, renting or owning place ,sewig sistem comunity or...,car over 25 thousand miles or not ...etc
am i going to get the tickets without a credit card number?
I have had this call twice in the last fortnight, stateroom cabin for 2 including all meals just complete the survey - the web address brought me here. I am not normally a sceptic as I have had numberous calls over the years saying I have won a holiday and all you have to do is come to a meeting (Timeshare) however I have always attended and always had a great holiday without buying a timeshare. This though I think is different even if 2 tickets arrived to cruise around the Bahamas you would have to get there a 91/2 hour flight at your cost there and back no great deal - I would love to hear if any one has actually recieved tickets.. I certainly haven't.
all i can say is some day these people will meet at the pearly gates and wonder why they are locked.
I had a phone call to say I have won 2 free tickets. Having read all the other messages on this site I guess it must be a joke.
same as previous entries - horn, captain etc. but the additional offer at the end was to be able to lower the interest rates on my credit cards if I had 3 or more with a total balance exceeding $10,000.00. The name given here was "Consumer Victory group". The person that speed talked was operator 9456.
got a call saying captain calling freaked me out but anyways its a scam theres no website on here so i guess they got a laugh huh...
We are on telphone preference service. Annoyingly the call does not hang up immediately on disconnect either.
Just as below. Very strange, some sort of hoax?
I had a call from ( this is your captain speaking) and all I had to do is answer 10 survey questions. Then I was told to log in this site and claim my trip for 2 cruise to the bahama and verify this with my own phone # and postal code on the net. Gave rep my name and contact number and time to call and then got a recording saying to go to www.householdsurvey.com and it brought me here. SCAM ALERT!!
was told i won two tickets.but they wanted my credit card details.got to be a scam.stay away from it.
I had a call from ( this is your captain speaking) and all I had to do is ansrew 10 survey questions. Then I was told to log in this site and claim my trip for 2 cruise to the bahama and verify this with my own phone # and postal code on the net. There was also something mention about a gov't boarder service fee for $59 per person. Scam! Not all of us can win a trip to the bahamas on the same ship.
i did fall for the call too !! I worked on cruises for 9 years and have actually been unfortunate to work on the regal empress years ago back 7 years ago it had gone bankrupt I would advise anyone not to go on it anyhow even if they send you the tickets !!!!!
called today am by same survey cant find site
THESE GUYS ARE FAKE..DO NOT TRUST THEM...THEY ARE ONLY OUT FOR YOUR INFORMATION...AND IF I EVER FIND OUT WHAT ALL AMERICAN COMPANY IS DOING THIS..THEY WOULD WISH THEY WERE NEVER BORN...DONT NOT FALL 4 THE SCAM.//SPAM!!
THEY CALLED, DIDNT ASK FOR A CREDIT CARD NUMBER, DID THE SURVEY, WENT ON LINE AND PRINTED OUT THE FREE VOUCHER FOR THE CRUISE, BUT ITS NOT AN ACTUAL TICKET. BUT I DO HAVE A CONFIRMATION NUMBER AND IT SAYS KEEP FOR MY RECORDS AND ITS GOT THEY'RE LOGO ON IT. IS IT REALLY FAKE?
So glad I checked with you first, have had the same call 10 minutes ago.
Went to Voicemail, this is a big scam, don't answer and don't get fooled
i just got a call and it said that if i answer the 10 questions i would win 2 tickets to the bahamas and then it told me to claim my tickets go to www.householdsurvey.com but when i went it was a diffrent website.
Got this phone call last night - they're getting good. What information are they getting out of me that isn't available for everyone? I don't get it, why all the trouble? As for the phone companies doing anything - HA! They take your money and run - Once, my son was raking up hundreds of dollars for this HABBO web site - three times a day at $10 each time - the phone company never once picked up one of their own lines to inform us of unusual activity! The credit card companies do this! Why can't Bell?
(808) 561-1224 or 8085611224
This has to be some kind of spam phone number. Arrrrgh!!
What is this supposed survey?
Do they really give you a free trip in Florida or is this another TIME Share scam, where you have to site through half the vacation in sales pitches to Buy, Buy, Buy?
Better book your own tour, I got scammed on this type of thing with a trip to Orlando, I had to buy plane fares and all the freebees were gross hotels, not clean, and I chose two different locations and WAS required to Go to a time share presentation at BOTH hotels, 2 Days out of 5 were shot. No Disneyworld only a half day, as the time share guy kept us 6 or 7 hours...............BEWARE
automated message saying i won a ticket to bahama, ask me 10 question and this guy came online to aks for my name and my zip code and then he hung up on me !!
Said if we completed the survey we got an all expense paid trip to Nassau Bahamas.I was told i would receive 2 tickets i was supposed to log on to www.householdsurvey.com to claim my tickets. When i tried to log on all i found were alot of different websites that i could visit. Never got the website they said i would go to.
These people are so stupid that call. all i want to know is how to get them to stop calling
Received a call, went on line to discover alot of ripoff reports for this scam. Please have them stopped.
I am really fed up with these silly American voiced phone calls. Nothing is free in this world. Why doesnt the phone companies do something about it.We all know it's a SCAM
Yes, I received this message and there will be a followup call in 48 to 72 hours offering this special. Two ticket to the Bahamas on a cruise ship. This is a faud call......
this was a spam phone call. no website exists.
householdsurvey.com called last hight. Told me to visit website. Said they would contact me with 2 tickets for Bahamas for answering questions taking 1 minute - took a lot longer. also had the @Captain speaking' message twice. My line is supposed to stop these calls.
i recieved a call today and yes a BIG RIP OFF....DONT GIVE THEM ANY INFO..WHEN THEY DO CALL BACK...IF THEY DO CALL BACK LIKE THEY SAY.
Received this call, exactly as described by others. Of course it is a scam. The old adage, "if it's too good to be true" is well heeded in this case. The reason someone will ask for a $59 fee is so they can capture your credit card #, or worse, your checking account, if you pay over the phone by check. Be wary, don't fall for this scam.
Just got the call on my direct office line. It disconnected before I could pick it up . . . glad I didn't pick it up and thank you for your comments.
did not answer because it was my business phone.
This was a waste of time and energy.
got the same phone call...there is no website...big scam all around! can't anyone stop them?
Yeah, this is a Joke! Just another way to scam someone. There is no free cruise, no website, and deffinately no captain!
Received a phone call blowing a horn and an automated guy calling himself captain. The captain said that if I took the survey that I would win a trip for two to the bahamas. I took the short, ten question survey. At the end of the survey a representative came on the phone and verified my phone number, the best time to call, my first and last name, and my zip code. Gave me my log in information and web address and quickly transfered me to another recording that eventually disconnected me. I tried to log in to the website (www.householdsurvey.com) but the site does not recognize my log in information. I attempted to use the "contact us" link to find a phone number, but all i got was an option to send an email. So i filled in all of my information and tried to send....unsendable, false link.
the same as slowdown
I recieved a call at home saying i won 2 free tickets & to logon to www.householdsurvey.com also to obtain my tickets
DO NOT GO TO THEIR WEBSITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It does exist and it loads a trojan on your computer. I notified every state and federal agency I could think of that would care about malicious websites (CPA, FTC, FCC). Unfortunately, none of them were concerned that the website put Trojan.maliframe!html on my computer because lucky for me, I have Norton at the office and it destroyed the Trojan. For those of you who have the Trojan on your system (who knows what it is doing), perhaps you can find a government agency that will give a $&!*.
This company has been selling "free cruises" for a minimum of $478 up to thousands of dollars in hidden costs and fees and they've been doing it for years. Nothing they say is true.
I received this call today on my cell phone. Thanks for the information from others I added that number to my auto reject list on cell phone. Just rember that nothing in life is free except advice from everybody we know!
I knew it was Spam - answered anyway - said "hello," and received a dial tone. This has happened more than once. Not sure if this is the same company.
RECIEVED A CALL DID NOT ANSWER. CALLED BACK PERSON RESPONDED RUDELY NO I DID NOT JUST CALL YOU. I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE SCAM IS BUT THEY WERE OBVIOUSLY ANGRY THAT I CALLED BACK AND ASKED WHAT THEY WANTED. NUMBER WAS ON CALLER ID
i receive a call yesterday saying something about taking a survey, and 2 ttickets trips for a cruise. they said i won and somebody will contact me in 48hours.
Your website will not accept my phone number of 01209 215957
They called 3 times today from 9am to the last at 7:50pm. They don't leave messages on the VM.
Those D-bags called me as well, dude I was pretty sure it was a scamzini, Oh well.
I got a call, it said captain speaking, answer 10 questions and recieve 2 tickets to the Bahamas on a cruise. Damn scam never again shit.
Got a call, captain speaking, answer 10 questions for free cruise to Bahamas.......Yeah Right!
Same as the rest. Answer 10 questions for free cruise tickets. Should have hung up immediately. Rep claimed it was not a time share deal and a cruise rep would contact me. I doubt it.
this # is a total rip off do not give them any information when you see this # dont pick up i yo do the website that they give you does not exsist
Also go message that I would get 2 boarding passes for a cruise for 10 answers on my business phone. How do we stop this phone spam?
I received a call from this number to my work phone. I didn't answer since I didn't know who was calling and let it go to voice mail. The message was the same as Aliyyah offering me a trip to the Bahamas. How can these numbers get disconnected?????????!?!?!?!
I was told I would receive 2 tickets to cruise to the Bahamas. I was supposed to log on to www.householdsurvey.com to claim my tickets. When I tried to log in all I got were different websites that I could visit. I never got the website that they said that I would go to.
How do i get the tickets for the cruise to Nassau, Bahamas? I think the whole thing is funny like a prank call in the
old days or a fart in dead silence. I don't know i was distracted for a few minutes what a waste of time for the person
on the other end. Maybe they can do something with the recording of my voice?
I just got his call too but i went to the website, it didnt work..so is this all a scam?
Answered the questions and went to web site, which do not work. As usual I guess this is a a trap to get money out of innoence folks.
Sounds same as everyone else - wish I wouldn't have given my cell number - asked lots of questions as to what they were going to do with it and how they could offer a free trip - said the cruise industry has been down and by offering me this trip I'll tell my friends and so-on and so-on. Said not everyone who completes the short survey is offered a cruise. Well after reading all these comments I beg to differ from her comment. Wish I hadn't given them my name and number, but they'll never get a CC# out of me.
I can't believe how many people below ask if the call is real or a scam LOLOL
You don't get anything for free in this world, ffs, we even have to pay for air to inflate the car tyres!!!
A word for the wise, if you receive a scam call that isn't an automated message, have a whistle handy and blow like mad when they speak........ you will find they don't call back :) :)
responding to call thsi morning on 01462742815. I am writing to confirm the cruise to Nassau Bahamas
Had this wierd horn noise, then captain tell me i'd recieved complimentary cruise to bahamas, did survey to see what happens. When put through to live person they asked for my name as per ticket and confirmed my tel no back to me. Went on-line to see site, but surprise does not exist, scammers need to be outed. Some poor old person will probably fall for this! Am waiting for a call back so I can tell them to F... OFF!!!!!
nothing for nothing
Automated message same as all others, my code is if something sounds to good to be true its a scam...
I got the call saying I would win tickets for a Nasau Bahamas cruise if I answered the quick survey of 10 questions. Well, I fell for it and gave them the info because they didn't ask for a credit card #. I feel ashamed and angry that they can do this. What can we do about them?
AAnother idiot bites the "what have I got to loose " bait. Now I will have a hoarde of calls at home since I did not want my work phone number called. At least I am hoping by doing this the fog horn calls will cease. Its two or three times a week. I think they should be forced to send everyone bothered by this a trip!
captain saying i won a trip to bahamas and i had to answer to 10 question survey in order to obtain the two free tickets
had this strange call from THE CAPTAIN saying won cruise just had to answer questions - which i did - then passed to a real!!! person for my name and phone number silly me I gave info - then internet but wasn't able to log on - just a scam don't waste your time - just waiting for call back want be bothering to answer !!!! total waste of my time
got call free trip don't be stupid nothing is free don't fall for it i just wish i was able to see these people i would give them what they deserve a good old British uppercut
I received the same message. It's got to be a total spam. www.HouseholdSurvey.com is not even a valid URL. Strangest thing is that I got the call on my work number which is not posted in any directory. Not sure what the purpose of this scam is...
was called and told to go to householdsurvey.com to register my phone number
we want our damn trip, and we want it now! you know where to reach us.idiots!
I just recieved the same call as everyone else, i guess this nice scam has been going on for months... well after all this time, has anyone found out anything more about this crazy call?? EVERYONE KEEPS POSTING THE SAME COMMENT... WE ALL GOT THE SAME EXACT CALL.. DESCRIBED TO A "T". itd be nice if someone had some answers to the major ?......
I just got this call at work a few minutes ago. My call was the same as alot of the others...Horn blowing...captain speaking..answer 10 questions and get 2 free cruise tickets to the bahamas...then transfered me at the end to a live female voice asking my name and best phone for me to be reached...very strange call....
had phonecall 10 min ago do they charge u 4 the call
I also got a call from these people. Did anyone hear from them?
Send me by mail the information for theBahamas trip for taking the survey.
I was offered a cruise and was told to go to www.householdsurvey.com and complete the questionaire, I was then told I would recieve a email confirming the free trip but I would have to pay 59$ per person for the boarding ticket. I spoke to an operator who asked for my telephone number and my postal code both of which I gave to her. I don't understand the call at all as it is obviously a scam how are the making money out of people. The automated male voice stressed this was not a free gift?????????????????? well maybe not because they did want 59$ each I am very interested to find out exactly what the point of this is. Plus the questions were quite bizarre in the fact I couldn't quite put 2 and 2 together.
is this fake
take me off your calling list
how can a survey get away with b s the public . their should be some comintsion Iam sure this is not leagle sorry about the spelling
Not only do these guys call serveral times a day (with the call display showing as 000-000-0000), when I stayed on the line to ask them to remove my number from their call list, I was hung up on. I found the Toll-Free with a quick google search, called back (got a new person) and asked to have my number removed and was told they couldn't do so until I gave them my name. When I advised them that all they had to do was delete my number, I was hung up on once again. I called back again (got yet another person) who proceeded to tell me that my number wasn't in their system. I hung up this time. Seriously. Not only a scam... but REALLY EFFING annoying to have that many calls coming from them every day.
Please take me off your list and do not call me ever again. Thanks!
Automated survey call claiming that I would recieve Carribean cruise passes if I answered questions.
and put my number and postal code
Message from carnival about free bahamas trip.....is it real?
DO NOT GO TO THEIR WEBSITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It downloads a Trojan onto your computer and you probably don't know unless you're lucky like me and your anti-virus caught and destroyed it. It downloads as soon as the page loads. There is no contact information on the website, only a contact form, which procedes to a server error page when you click send.
I sent an email with all the info I have to my State Attorney General. Please if you have the time, do the same. This company is out to screw us any way they can and NO ONE is getting a free cruise, just hidden fees in the amounts of hundreds of dollars. Do a search for "householdsurvey.com" and start reading some of the posts by those who've been duped already.
NOT A LEGITIMATE COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!
hope it was real.it sounded real.
I got one of these - the number was withheld
Key phrases in the call include:
This is a public opinion poll. You will receive two free boarding passes for an all inclusive cruise to Nassau Bahamas
In agreement with this confirmation, you are responsible for a $59 per person US Governmental Port and Service Fee paid directly to the cruise line fulfilment centre.
Please note, this is a complementary offer - you have neither won this, nor is it a prize.
The guy says it
I JUST GOT THE CALL PRESSED # ABOUT 5 TIMES AND IT TRANSFERED ME TO A MAN; GAVE HIM MY # AND ZIP CODE. HE WILL CALL ME BACK. AND WHEN HE DOES I WILL ASK HIM ABOUT THE TIX TO BAHAMAS. I CAN'T WAIT FOR MY VACATION. AND THE INFO I GAVE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ME. I USED TO BE A TELEMARKETER. NOTHING LIKE THIS THOUGH.
got the call just now/ I realized too late that it is marketing firm seekign clients. But I gave them a lot of bogus answers and s&*%^%*t so there
I got the call today and i figured i'd do the survey and just wait for somebody with an indian accent to get on the phone and ask me for my credit card...everything has panned out so far...i answered the 10 questions, was directed to an operator who asked for my zip code and phone number and he told me to go to www.householdsurvey.com and login...it worked and it asked for my email where it sent my sample ticket through "imperial majesty" cruise lines for 2 day cruise to Bahamas and somebody will contact me within 72 hours..everything sounds good so far and i'll keep you guys posted
I rec,d same call at work yesterday 1st ships horn the male saying he is the Captain saying take short survey 10 questions and win a cruise to Nassau Bahamas,at the end said go to this web site householdsurvey.com ,and a ships person will call back with in 72 hours with boarding passes, this sounds to good to be true.Although I have won a cruise and trip to Florida before. Will just wait and see NO MONEY or CREDIT CARD will be given on my end.I am Not that dumb.Husband also said sounds to wierd to be true.Becareful all.
same think happened. i live in uk. just had call promising bahamas tickets. just hope nothing bad comes from it. didnt give them any credit card details of course.. any idea if anything worse than just more junk mail they can do with the answers to the questions they asked?
I am selected for cruise to bahama for answering the automated questions on household survey. Awaiting the details on the same.
Recieved call. I want my cruise tickets
i just received the call with the horn and the trip to the bahamas and my sister answered the questions they asked is she at any risk?
I got the call; answered the questions; now have come to Internet sight I was told to go half-way down to confirm info...if no internet someone will call within 72 hours. By reading the other comments don't have a good feeling for the OFFER panning out. Husband says, "Sounds too good to be true."
said i won a cruise just had to complete survey
I recieved the same call twice.....still there is nothing......
I recieved a called and take to a representative I gave my phone and my zip code what do I have to do??
april 30 i recieved the same call i gave limited info to survey and recieved a dummy bording pass to imperial majasty cruise lines. never heard any thing else, this is a very convencing scam i recomend giving fictional info this will cause them simmilar aggravation
i am replying for boarding pass approved today
I just recived the phone call today and the caller said the same thing, now what I want to know is how can we STOP them? Something needs to be done , this is nothing but a SCAM!!!!!
I got a message from this too, actually it was today and im trying to see if its true by finding the site it provided me but i forgot lol
They told me the same thing
called from 808-499-7129. A recording walked me through the survey. When I called this number back, the line was busy.
I had a call from the above which said I would receive a complimentary all-inclusive trip to the Bahamas and when I tried to register to claim this, I was unable to. I was asked to participate in a survey to receive the trip and I did. It must be a scam
i got the same call as everyone else here....After reading all these posts i realise it's a scam & feel a bit silly, esp after living in Tenerife & fending off time-share touts on a daily basis....
.....but i don't think it's anything to worry about - just don't give the fuckers yer credit card #! I figure it's just a carrot & stick thing - a way 2 get us 2 answer the questions, so then they can sell our details 4 a fee 2 loads of companies so they can send/email/call us with spam/junk mail ads. Nothing sinister, & not worth getting worked up about.....
If u saw the ridiculous scams they do in Tenerife! I am in the UK, & us british go on holiday 2 foreign climes & get scammed by our own people trying to make a quick quid! once a company started up offering to help win back the thousands of pounds people had spent on imaginary time-share...for a fee. Of course it turned out to be the very same time-share company, who then scammed the same people all over again!!
there are some cunning fuckers out there.....but from my experience of the time-share crew they aren't a very happy & lucky lot
hope this helps
Odd that I've had call display since the start (October 1990) and that this kind of number, 000-000-0000, has never shown up. Like other people below, I got the ship's horn, went through the short survey and was transferred to a live person. I did not go to the website...
Automated message blowing a horn saying I could win a trip to Nassau, Bahamas for taking a survey using touchtones.
RE: Free CRUISE
This is what I got(copied and pasted below) after looking at the email address they gave me over the phone.NO other questions to answer just had to review my info and make sure spelling was correct. They have a confermation page that you can print out with a Free Cruise Voucher. So far looks like I have to find arrangments to get to Florida where the 2 day 2night cruise leaves.
The information that I have provided through this process is true and correct. In exchange for my participation in a Consumer Market Research Survey, I will receive a complimentary Bahamas Cruise. I accept this reward and agree to be contacted by a travel coordinator within 72 hours to go over the information regarding this reward.
Got the "Captain speaking" and horns call today 17/4/08 on my land line. Knew it was a scam but answered questions just for devilment. Did 1471 but caller had withheld number. Opened website and entered my phone number and first 3 digits of my postcode as instructed but red message said my details did not correspond with their records. Guess I'm just lucky!
Automated male voice saying I had been awarded a cruise to nassau for participating in a survey, involving ten
questions. The only cost involved would be $59 for US port taxes. I was then transfered to a young lady with
an american accent who asked for my name.
Just received a call from some company blowing a horn saying if i answer some questions i could get two free tickets to a cruise in Nassau. I answered the questions then a pushy guy came on wanting my postal code. when i said i had some questions myself, he didn't know anything, he said he was just a rep taking the information down and that he had done a few of these trips too. when i asked a few more questions, he just put me through to the automated recording again. i hung up. He was operator 705. Has anybody received a free ticket to a Nassau cruise?
just got a call saying if i answered 10 questions I would automatically win 2 tickets to Nassau then come to this site and give my postal code and tel number i wish there was a way to stop these scams Im sick of the tel calls....
got the same call, from # 1-000-000-0000, i was pumped so i answered the entire survey, didnt give my postal code but gave my name to the creepy guy, then an ad came on for something... strange, BUT I WANT MY TRIP..
I received a call w/ a horn blowing in the background and a captain telling me that I could win a trip to the Bahamas if I answered 10 simple questions including my name, my age, address etc. I wasn't sure if this was real so when all was said and done I went to the website they told me to go to claim my tickets to find out that it wasn't real and someone now has some personal information on me. I am pissed that I could have fallen for something like this and that this type of thing is going on.
I WANT MY MUTHAFUKIN TICKETS, I CHEERED FOR JOY WHEN I HEARD THE CAPTIAN SPEAKING. CUNTS DISCONECTED THE NUMBER!
same thing, junk call waste my time wih that
I was dupped! I answered the entire survey and went to the "website" only to be shown a multitude of ads for everything from cruises to home security. I am just upset that they lied and I won't be going on that paid for cruise.
I just got the cruise ship call - I guess I'm not going to the Bahamas anytime soon
liar,s got same call yesturday i asked if was real man said yes stay on line for more infro that was it asked also for name and postcde joker my old man will sort out this unknown caller just let him or she try
Same thing here - Free Bermuda cruise if I answer 10 questions. I did it just for the fun of it - this too, is the FIRST unsolicited commercial call I have received in over six years! When I finished answering the questions - my age, whether I own or rent my home, how I purchased a TV, Car, Groceries - check, debit or credit card - a woman came on the line and asked me what my name and phone number were (DUMB me gave it) Thank God I have enuff sense to NOT give out credit #'s. then she told me to go too www.householdsurvey.com which brought me here. UGH!
Can u turn this in???
Called and did not leave a message....junk call!
They have called twice in 2 days. Never leaves a message, and since I don't know the number I won't pick it up.
Recording and you had to push numbers to answer questions. I just hung up.
ok. i also had this call. what's going to happen??? i answered all the questions and gave them my name and postal code. how are they able to scam me with that information?? i'm a little worried.
they said i won atrip to the bahamas and had me do a survey
I just got his call too but i went to the website, it didnt work..so is this all a scam?
I HAVE JUST HAD A PHONE CALL, SAYING I CAN WIN A CRUISE, IF I ANSWER 10 QUESTION, GOT THROUGH THE QUESTION, THEN A MAN CAME ON THE PHONE, ASKING MY NAME AND POSTCODE, WEIRD... AM WORRIED NOW, WISH THESE CALLS WOULD STOP!!!!!!
They forgot to send the information to my free trip.
I love trips....
Call back and give me the information. It's COLD here. I'd love to go where it's warm.
i heard the horn and the "captain speaking", answered the questions and was told to go to the website... which i did, but was unable to go straight to the site... so i googled householdsurvey.com and went to the third thing listed and it led me to this site . i logged on and went through the short process and am now waiting to see what happens next.
EXTENDED CAR WARRANTEES
company called again today, to say i had won the free pass for Bahamas cruise, and it would be sent in the mail. However they ask for credit card #. What happened to free? I said no, they hung the phone up.
Try contacting your state attorney general's office to report.
calls all the time
Called my phone at 10:39 PM, I get up at 4:00 AM to go to work. I did not answer and just went back to sleep.
Illegal call to a cell phone from this number with a moronic pre-recorded message about some cruise scam.
These calls are voice activated. If you say nothing then no recording is played. If there is a person they will break the silence first. I remained silent; ergo no message; ergo spam call; ergo waste of time; so I hung up the phone. 'nuff said.
I received a call from 808-783-9321 on 3/14 and 3/18 and it showed up as a wireless call. "captain calling" with the horn blowing, free cruise tickets if you take this short survey................I HUNG UP.....DIDN"T take survey. But I tried to call back and it was busy I tried again and it was Virginmobile your account is to low, add money with a credit card or top-up card at virginmobile.com. I don't have virginmobile...
This is a crazy call... Want them to stop calling my number.... I'm going to email you about the suit. I just hate thinking about these people being able to get away with what they are doing.
also there was advertisement for home security installation toward the end of the phone call. At www.household.com i do not see a survey to log in. Scammers
survey to answer 10 questions, same as above post state. Said repre. would be calling me back later. To go to www.household.com and log in with zip code and phone # to this survey. strange phone call. It should be stopped. Who would be the proper authority to report this to?
Caller offered 2 cruise tickets to Bahamas, for completing a 7 question survey. I have since seen online that they are scam artists trying to pressure sell tralel packages. All who commented said to STAY AWAY from them.
I just got this call. Didn't pick up. Don't know anyone who'd be in Hawaii. But I do find it ironic that one of the sponsored ads through Google linked to this page is for a caller ID spoofing service of some sort.
being that anything goes mentality these days these callers will probably get away with it even if reported to the proper agencies.
stop stupid calls!
I want these stupis phone calls to stop!
Answering machine picked up, no message left.
I received a call from this number today and it showed up as a wireless call. It was the same thing that others have described about the "captain calling" with the horn blowing, short questions, and free cruise tickets. I did the little survey and was transferred to a live person who asked what name I wanted on the tickets. I was immediately hung up on when I asked if the tickets where real. This is the first time I've received the call at this number but it's a new number. I got the same call numerous times at our old house.
I called the number back and got a recorded message saying my balance was too low to make this call. But I could add money to the account with a credit card or top-up card at virginmobile.com. It also mentioned something called sugar mama where I could earn minutes by using my cell phone in my spare time. It directed me to sign up for it at virginmobileusa.com. I called the number back several times and got an operators voice saying it was disconnected or just a busy signal. The last time redialed I got the virgin mobile message again. Has anyone else called back and got the weird message?
I'm going to email you about the suit. I just hate thinking about these people being able to get away with what they are doing.
Free Bermuda cruise if I answer 10 questions. I did it just for the fun of it - this is the FIRST unsolicited commercial call I have received in over six years! When I finished answering the questions - my age, whether I own or rent my home, how I purchased a TV, Car, Groceries - check, debit or credit card - a man came on the line and asked me what my name and phone number were. Very strange.

That I had two tickets to the Bahamas
Can we say scam??

I RECEIVED A CALL THAT I WON (2) TICKETS FOR A CRUISE TO THE BAHAMAS. THEN WAS TOLD TO GO TO THE

automated recording stating I will receive 2 free passes to a cruise to the bahamas for answering 7 questions. They will contact me in 48 to 72 hours. What is this?
i recieved a call saying "this is ur captain.I answered a survey and was given a website to claim tickets for a cruise. the next day they even called me back yo remind me to go to the website to claim my tickets! is this it?
This is your captain....etc. Answer a short survey and win 2 tickets to the bahamas.
I was offered 2 boarding passes for taking the survey, my phone number is 361-596-4403, 922 FM 532, Moulton, Tx 77975
this survey site is a scam they offer you 2 free tickets to the Bahamas, the only catch is you get 80% off the tickets price, and you paid the 20% by credit or debit card; it is a ripoff.
about my 2 tickets for the cruise to the Bahamas
i was told that i have 2 cruise tickets to the bahamas and to come to this website to claim them i entered in my number which is 704-837-5466 but its not goinig through you guys need to assit us with these problems we are having or is this even legit!
unfortunatly, this is only a 2 day 2 night cruise. which means there may be an overnight stay or not. The ship looked small and out dated. unless you are close to port of departure, I wouldnt bother. This may very well be a scam!
"This is your Captain Speaking" It told me
I have qualified for two tickets to Nassau/Bahamas
go to www.surveycruise.com
to claim my boarding pass
Is this for real it brought me to this site?
Survey.com called 5/14/07,said I won 2 tickets to a cruise to go to their site and claim them w/the code given, tried the site and came to this.
take a survey get 2 free tickets for a cruise
I need my broading pass information. I don't have time to answer question for nothing. Was this a waste of my time?
This is your CAPTAIN!!! You have 2 cruise tickets after you answer a few questions....Well, they get your phone number and zip and You get NOTHING!!!!
that i have 2 tickets for a cruise.
When can I expect to get the tickets and all information involved?
