Caller ID says TEXAS, but every time I answer, it hangs up in my ear. Tried calling back but get a busy signal each time.

Have been getting calls from this number every day for past 3 weeks, but no message left, and nothing shows up on caller ID
These people go by different names, numbers and agencies, be very careful one of them said he had to identifyu my account so he asked for my mothers maiden name?
Crazy, better off just not talking to them, it goes in one ear and then out to another agency for citi. I talked to them 4 different times in one day and they still couldn't get it right, from now on they are getting the sient treatment.He Mohammad Arsi, Bob Barnett, Shey and Ruquyae' you are not doing your jobs.
Caller says it's CitiGroup. They wanted my SS# so I laughed at them and told him to suck eggs. I called the number back and dialed 0 when it asks for a 5 digit extension. Got a guy who I acted up with until he gave me a "supervisor." She was the biggest brain dead script reader I've heard in a while. Really, Citigroup... if this is your collections department, no wonder our banks suck in this country. Scammer suck hairy tools.
This number has called me everyday for weeks. On several occassions I have answered and they ask for a woman's name that is unknown to me. They then asked me to confirm my name for their records which I did not give the first several calls and then finally gave them my name and asked that they update their records and quite calling me. They have not.
I have received several calls from this exact number, and a few from a very similar number which I suspect is an extension, since the beginning of September. Caller ID shows nothing but the number, and the caller never leaves a message. When I have answered, there is always a pause followed by a voice (usually male, once it was female) asking for a name I can't make out, but which is not even remotely close to mine. After I say that they've got the wrong number, the caller apologizes and quickly hangs up as if it were an innocent mistake, but the fact that they've continued to call makes me think this is some sort of scam. CitiFinancial doesn't have a reason to be calling me, if that's who it is, because I've never had an account with them or used any of their services.
I have a new cell phone with a new number. This number started calling me today, multiple times. No one on the other end. I blocked it after seeing this. Too bad you can't reach out and smack them

I've reported this number to the FTC online. ID said Citigroup. No one was on the line when I answered. Report all such calls to the FTC. They pay attention. Do-not-call people do nothing.

I got calls from this number. It is was CitiGroup. It is their collection department. I had forgotten to pay a credit card bill; it was past due. The woman I talked to was very polite. I appreciated the call because it helped me avoid further finance charges. If they call, you might want to consider answering if you had thought you paid of a credit card an you actually did not.
ONE WAY TO STOP THE CALLS IS TO PAY YOUR BILLS.

I get calls from this number and my bill is current. Noone leaves a message and noone is there when i answer the phone. If it is a collection agency, their system is a bit flawed.

Every day for weeks now I get at least one to three calls. I never answer. They never leave a message. I do not have any accounts with Citi-Group, nor am I behind in any bills, AND I have an unlisted number. Can anything be done????
Responding to Good Credit: Maybe you need to get over yourself b/c most of the people that get calls from this Citi number don't have accounts or are not delinquent on existing ones. It's completely irrational to always assume that someone is automatically irresponsible with money just b/c they receive a call from a "creditor." Must be lonely up there on your pedestal.
numerous calls from this number. never get to speak to anyone. a couple of times, recording said hold for important call. no one ever picks up. eventually hangs up. return call to number gets busy signal.
We keep getting calls from this number--most of the time they are hang ups. This is very frustrating. We are an Assisted Living dealing with Vulnerable Adults. Answering unwanted calls takes staff away from the residents.
Please take our number off your calling list. We have no account with Citifinancial so they have no business even dialing our business number. If you are calling for a staff you do business with, we cannot call staff to the phone. Call them at home as we will not take their calls here.
Several calls throughout the day. No one there. Guess what -- I'm going to pay the cost to have the call blocked.
I tried to opt out of their 'NEW' reduction plan. I argued that the 'reward' of paying my account on time that would lead to a lower interest rate every year AFTER I paid on time for the next year was what I had been doing since I owned the card - 1994! How was punishing me NOW with a higher interest rate and then bringing it back down to where it should have been MY REWARD?? I did nothing but play by their rules and their own rules have now bit them in the A$$! I don't feel sorry for them. Let their bail out money pay for my card. The only way I can opt out now is to not pay them for 60 days (their rules)and then my opt out is automatic. So now I am going to look for a settlement instead of paying of the remainder of my card since my credit is sqrewed at the end of my 60 days.
Tired of the constant phone calls from Citigroup (name on caller ID). I received one today at 8:30 am, around 4pm and now at 7:20pm. I picked up and answered "hello" several times and they hang up on me. Where are our rights for harassing phone calls? I don't even own a Citigroup/Sears card.

Dont they ware what they are doing do disturb ill people need rest, child nap times. I do hope company has a better policy than to ask their employees to hang up on their customers. Why are these people even on their payroll. All they do is to call then hang up, many many times.

I have received 4-5 calls a day from this number for the past month. Everytime I answered it was dead air. Everytime I called back it was busy signal. FINALLY TODAY I was able to get through.
This is Citi Client Financial. I have 2 Citi cards, and also Sears and Home Depot are carried through Citibank.
They were calling me regarding a past due balance on my SEARS card, which I paid last week. I asked them to remove me from their auto-dialer.
