Got a call today for $10,000 minimum autotrading investment promising great returns. Phone # was CTI 949 752 2836

2010-03-29 05:00:10 UTCTony A

This might be a "boiler room" operation. If you answer the phone and speak with them, the original caller will ask if you are interested in a "passive return or strong compounding return." The original caller will pass you along to someone who has more authority/knowledge or .... possibly who is simply a better "closer," to reel in the "fish." They are only interested in you if you have at least $10,000 to invest in a "proprietary program" (black box software). The automated system would be "licensed to you for 18 years" and it will automatically (presumably with artificial intelligence of a sort) trade for you in the S&P 500 future indexes. They say it only makes 4 to 6 trades per month and will give you an income of $525 per month on a $10,000 investment. That would be $6,300 per year, but the annual profit figure they toss at you is that you will make about $12,800 per month. They call their company "CTI".

Fed up with the calls? Capitol Hill is responsible for this mess.
(Our crusty politicians).
Check out the link and see what I did to these credit card collections hogs.

CitiGroup Collections. Let's all cut into their profits. It's not like their EVER going to pay back the bailouts anyway. Check out the link below.

Two calls this week. NO ID. Have never purchased anything from Zales

2008-09-29 23:58:15 UTCSara

This is Citifinancial Auto calling about a late car payment!

2008-03-21 13:51:07 UTCRuss

CTI stands for some kind of Collections Agegency- not necessarily Citi-Bank; I've got a Home Depot CC that if I'm "15 minutes" late on they call right up like clock-work. Nice to have such "dilligent" collections group. If youever feel like no one cares your around just miss one of your card payments with these folks- they'll check right up on you!

2008-03-08 16:34:21 UTCTiger

I don't answer calls that state "incomplete data"

2008-02-25 03:12:42 UTCKristina

This Tx # calls us all day every day from morning til night on our Cell Phone. I have everytime I do acrually pick up, I am told to wait for the next representative!! I have no idea how they got my cell # of all things, but it just wastes my mins. and I dont even have a cred card w/ them!!!

2008-02-20 13:18:02 UTCme

Do not have a Zales Card, it is obviously Citibank per the comments listed below. Why would
anyone ever want to do business with such a annoying, pestering, low count company. Left message
saying it was in reference to EXXON account, total retards.

2008-02-18 19:55:16 UTCRon

I'm tired of them calling and I will not answer it EVER!!

2008-01-16 20:22:50 UTCrenesands

No citi account but I think they are "behind" a credit plan for tires i bought. I offered to pay by credit card--not acceptable but the best I could do after the San Diego wildfires delayed my work 6 weeks. Law prevents harassing calls from creditors--how can we apply it to these paragons of phone-spam?

2007-12-29 04:04:56 UTCVery Annoyed

This call comes in constantly. Caller ID says CTI and the number always come up (972) 653-1000 and (972) 655-0010. Today alone I had 6 calls on my home phone from these numbers. When you call back all you get is Thank you for calling Citi Cards Our Office is now closed... Guess what I don't have a Citi Bank Account so I am guessing it is fraud so watch out.

2007-09-13 21:21:30 UTCElsie

This is Citibank Collections. They also use 423-477-6983 and 972-653-1000. Want to get rid of them? Call (866)458-7618 and tell them that you do not have a Citibank card or a Home Depot card or any late charge card that is owned by Citibank and they will take you off their auto-dialer. Just press the "Language" key prompt and wait through the rest of the prompts and someone will answer. Done.

2007-09-07 12:59:17 UTCMary

Caller ID shows as CTI. They've called 6x this week, twice in the past hour. They use different #s; also 972-653-1000. I reported to donotcall.gov

2007-05-25 20:40:34 UTCI hate citibank

These people are bunch of retards this keep calling the wrong number.

2007-05-17 17:58:19 UTCJulie

They've called at least a dozen times. I told them the person they're trying to reach does not live here! We've had this number for 3 years. Very frustrating... wish I could report them!!

2007-05-15 20:23:23 UTCRossi

Came in at 16:21 on 5-14-07 with CTI shown. This and other sites advise is CitiBank collections, others experience Home Depot card comments. They left no message or call-back number on mine.

I also noted two other calls on 5-14 and 15, using the number 972-653-1000 with CTI also shown on caller id.

2007-05-03 13:31:18 UTCsleepy

they called 11:30 pm just to wake me up I guess....this was the 3rd call.

2007-04-24 23:48:12 UTCBob

Caller ID shows Irving TX. They keep calling and never leave a message.

2007-04-20 20:48:05 UTCanonymous

thye are fakes!!! Trying to steal account numbers!

2007-04-19 15:05:49 UTCStefan

Said it was Citi Cards, but I don't have a Citi account.

2007-03-27 09:38:33 UTCSteve

I'm guessing it was citicards.

2007-03-24 13:00:32 UTCAngry Reciever

Please stop calling. I hate to use dirty language. I will if I have to.

2007-03-21 10:36:04 UTCJoe

CallerID = CTI
Recording calls every day requesting callback at 800-200-8054.
IS THIS A SCAM?

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker:
