They called and said "Tim" I said "Yeah" and they asked "How are you doing?" Then hung up before I could answer. They called my cell phone while I was at work.

NAsty people. They keep calling here. I called them and told them to take me off their list as I am ALREADY ON A DO NOT CALL LIST. The lady hung up on me.

I called her back. I told her I was recording the call, calling every regulatory agency and since I have 5 calls from them on caller ID I was calling the police and filing a harassment complaint.

She removed my number immediately. I have phone and email confirmation.
EVERYONE SHOULD CALL/FLOOD their CUSTOMER SERVICE @800-553-7633 and demand the same.

i received a phone call from this number and didn't recognize the number, so i did not answer. they did not leave me a message so i phoned them back. the outgoing recording said to leave your number if you wanted to be on the do not call list, but that mailbox was full. you can always block calls from your phone either through your phone carrier or the phone itself.

I received a call this morning. It appears from Florida.

First time they called. Machine got it but no message left.

i got called today from Active Periodicals 954-573-1440. They said they were gonna bill me for mags i dont get from them. When i asked what card are they billing to, i said thats not me, i dont get ur mags, can you take me off this list and cancel anything you want to send me i dont want it! The guy said, "ill cancel you, ill cancel you right now!!" then slammed the phone down & hung up on me?! Who are these people and how can i be sure they will stop calling and im not getting charged for something i never ordered from them?! What is going on??

These idiots keep calling, and hanging up on me, daily and no matter what I do or who I call, it never ends... I won't give any info to anyone calling me, and there have been numerous calls for donations. This crap is getting old. If you have your name on the DO NOT CALL list, they still call you... It's a wasted effort!

got a phone call from this number i did not pick it up and they did not leave a message. after reading the comments it is my belief that this people are getting phone numbers and info from Walmart.com.. If you shop at walmart and get a receipt saying to go to their website and do a survey they want your address and phone number and say to answer a few questions then they want you to subscribe to some other sites to be eligible for to be entered to win a $1000 gift certificate. Even if you skip the sites they say you do not qualify unless you pick some of their sites. Even if you don't pick any of them these people from those sites still persist and start calling your number or numbers you put down in the walmart site.

I too was TRICKED into giving my information in hopes of receiving a free i pad...should have known better!! I don't usually fall for crap like this but it came from who I thought was a reliable source..I have received lots of junk emails and numerous prank calls from this phone number..VERY ANNOYING...and to make it worse no one says anything the one time I answered!!! I AM REPORTING THIS NUMBER TO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL TODAY!!!!!!!!

The Do not call registries are for residents of the state in which they reside. Use your search engines for "state (name of statre) do not call" and register your phone number with the do not call registry in which you live.

Let me tell you about my experience and how I met up with them. I received an email to evaluate the Apple 4-G and get a free phone. They got my home and cell phone number. Then I was asked to subscribe to two periodicals. I did. Then the network wanted me to buy something daily. I unsubscribed to the 4-G phone. Now they want me to download a text message on my cell phone. I am told that they cannot bill my credit card until I download the link.

This is a scam and if I give into them I will be liable for even more merchandise. So they ring my cell and landline phone daily. I will let you all know what happens next. Meanwhile, I am not buying anything from them.

They have been calling every morning at exactly 8:36am for the past 2 weeks. I know this because that is the time on the CID. This number either shows up as "Blocked Number" or "Private Number", but it's the same number. So far I have not gotten a live person. Going to call their customer service line on Monday since it's ringing busy at the moment.

This number called me today at 11:42 am CST and was on the phone until I answered with a "hello" greeting 3 different times. I have never been to fort lauderdale!

They wait until I answer and then hang up. Kind of annoying when I'm in the middle of something!

This number has called my cell phone for the last three days, sometimes twice a day.
My cell phone doesn't even ring when I receive the calls.....I get a "Ding" on my cell, notifying me of a new voicemail....
When I check the voicemail, it says that if I want to have my # removed from their list to leave my phone # saying "don't bother me". When I try to do this, I am told by an automated voice that the mailbox is full and no more messages can be left......
This is really pissing me off, because I have a pay-as-you-go cell and I am only charged if I make or receive calls......SO.....I have to pay when these idiots call me, even if I don't use my phone that day!!!!!!

If you look up Active Periodicals on the 'net you will see multiple negative stories claiming scam etc. Don't Answer, if you do talk to them report to FTC. Also, many stories from former employees. The 'net is loaded w/ BAD BAD BAD info. Called twiced today, no message. caller ID says "Active Periodic" sounds like someone trying to sell magazines. I don't answer these calls.

I answer the phone and they hang up. Tried calling back and get a mailbox that is full. They even call after 9pm this is very annoying

These people have called four days in a row, including weekends, and woke both my children up from their naps, four days in a row. Thank you for posting their 800 number. Although I was unable to reach a person to talk to, I was able to request my number be removed from their calling list, and I allowed my screaming children to leave the remainder of the message.

This number keeps ringing on my cell phone, but when I answer, nobody is there. I tried calling back, got a recording if I wanted my number removed, to leave my number and a message, then another recording that the mail box is full, and I am registered with the "no call list"...

These people called the house and asked for me. Why? I don't know. They stated I won a $1,000 web shopping spree. They asked if I was single or married. I said single, then they asked where I was employed. I stated i was an unemployed college student (which I am). Then she asked If my spouse was employed. I said "how can my spouse be employed if I'm single." The lady got flustered and said I had to be employed to qualify. These people are annoying morons obviously. They still called twice the next day.

Just great now they are calling me on my cell. How the heck did they get my number? I don't give out my number only to family and friends, when asked if I have a cell I say no. So how did they get my number? I ended up putting the number in my "phone list" no name and the ringer is on off. This is the best I can do for now at least it won't ring and I won't pick up. I'll try the number from "Deej" see if that works.

Connie Keith if you paid by check...call the bank and make a "stop payment". If you paid with a cc (credit card) call your card company and tell them to stop payment that this is a scam. I hope you did not sent cash because then you are out of luck.

Same issue with this number as you all have. When you answer, they hang up. When you call beck they tell you to leave your number and they will remove it, but the voice mail is always full. Finally found a number on their web site and talked to a woman. I told her to take my number off their calling list. Hoping it works! 1-800-553-7633

Is the company information. Call their 800 number because each time we do it costs them money. Leave a message about the weather, your dogs whatever..... I don't even care about caller ID on their end, they already have my number somehow, must have got it from the no call list. I don't answer when their calls come in anymore and rather enjoy knowing each time I call the 800 number it costs them:)

I am now calling their 800 number several times a day for each time they call me and leaving annoying message telling them how much I was annoyed by their calls and to use the do not call list. It costs their company money each time someone calls their 800 number. An email to the company and responded asking me for my number so they could take me off their list. I responded all they had to do was use the national do not call list and they would have me off their list.

They call and when answer..they hang up...

This is an unknown, unauthorized organization attempting to get personal information from individuals who have mortgages with Wachovia. These calls are being generated from several numbers - not just this one. My research indicates that Wachovia is aware of this situation but is either unable or unwilling to do anything about it. Several times my answering machine caught sounds of many individuals at phones (like a telemarketing facility) and once a female voice said,"Crap, they can hear me!" Then hung, up. Several individuals who have answered their phones from these numbers have reported they were told to call a different number in connection to their Wachovia account. When that number was called, these individuals were asked to identify themselves by giving their full social security number. DO NOT ANSWER. DO NOT CALL THEM BACK. BLOCK AND REPORT THESE NUMBERS!

This number calls my cell looking for a "jamie" every day... twice a day... this girl evidently had this number before me because i have recieved calls for this person for the past 2 years, mostly credit card companies and things of that nature so this company could be some kind of collections company, not really sure. They have started calling and just hanging up in my face twice a day. I have reported them to the do- not- call registry.

I have been getting calls from this number and the caller id shows that it is active periodic. I have never been home when they call and thank god they don't have my cell phone number. I am glad to know that I am not the only one they are annoying but we do have to find a way to make these calls stop!

I do not know who this caller is. I am on the Do Not Call List. They will never leave a message either. Continuous calling is harrassing. When I answer, there is no one there. It is just silent. I want them to stop calling.

I was once a telemarketer and I wish they would call back, especially if it were a woman. Both of us, being very lonely.....I'm sure we could have some 'phone fun' :) - - Anyhow, this is what's going on.... Their phone system is buggy. This is a somewhat common problem. The reason they will call, let it ring a couple of times and then hang up, seemingly right as you answeris as follows: Actually, it's the computer that's hanging up because even though the line is ringing on your end, it is not being detected on the dialing end. Therefore the computer thinks that there is a problem with the line and simply hangs up. BUT if you can get them on the line you can have some fun. I suggest your record such conversations in States where permissible. It's so lonely there in those cubicals, talking to rude zombie morons all day long and these people could sure use a break. They would probably just love to make some new friends. Also, you may have something they need besides your kind voice, understanding and promises of romance. Always keep a list beside your phone which contains information on things that you also would like to sell like that old rusted out lawnmower or those pee stained stuffed toys. However, while being fair always keep an upper hand and make sure they do not unfairly overwhelm you with their own petty selfish unimportant sales agenda. If you find that they are being a 'hard sell' then try moving off to some ice breaking tactics. Please avoid politics and the Barack Osama Lama administration. Try things like fashion, favorite places and food. Ask your caller where he or she is at the moment and if they are alone and if anyone else there can see what they're doing..... Are they in a cubical or wide out in the open? This makes a difference. Ask about what they're wearing, both visible and not so visible..ask them about colors.....and what about things they like to EAT and how they like em....um, cooked. Yeah, ask em if they are hungry and when they last had food. Oh, and don't forget to get a home phone number. It's only fair since they obviously have YOURS. Also be sure to breath hard and pant a little since it makes them feel more appreciated.

These calls atsrted four days ago - I have received one or two each day. Supposedly you can ask them to take your number off the list, but of course their voice mailbox is full. I have e-mailed for them to stop.

They keep on calling my cell phone and my home phone. we didn't pick up but they just keep it coming

Keep calling and I'm on the do not call list

I have had 2 calls within 3 hrs time span from this number and when I answer it cuts off or hangs up

They started at 8:03 am & have called every hour since. They don't leave a message on my machine!

Both times I have gotten these calls, there was no one on the other end. After about a minute (I actually waited to see who came on), the call was cut off. This was the first of two calls like this. They're obviously automated. Maybe if an agent can't get to a live connection within a minute, it clicks off. Whatever; it's a pain in the butt and a waste of my time.
