called two or three times looking for someone else, even though i told them that this was not that persons phone they still continue to call me

This company calls repeatedly asking for a 6 year old child! They want him to pay a doctor bill! This is Illegal! They wont stop calling even after they have been informed that he is a minor!!!

I constantly receive this call. It is an automated call saying that it is a call for Jeffrey Richardson and if I'm not Jeffrey Richardson to hang up. It's been going on for a couple of months.

why do they call me? I have no debt? why no messages, why why why

I don't owe anybody a freaking penny. Noone. But I get a call from this number about every two weeks, and the coward(s) hang up. I just received another call. I got a new cell phone number in July, so obviuosly they (whoever is harassing me) is trying to locate the person who previously had my number. Hey, idiots, stay on the phone and let's have a conversation.

Only got 2 things to say.
1. If you tell them to stop calling you, they have to. Even if you are the person they are looking for. Its called harassment. There is some government agency you can report them to, but I have a better suggestion. One I like anyways.
2. 1-866-620-4645 is their 'toll-free' number. Only its not toll free for them. Only incoming callers. Last time I checked, it was about .50 a call. I say call them about 15 times a day. I always do. At the end of the month, they get a huge phone bill and maybe will have some debt collectors calling them!!

I've recieved calls from this number sometimes asking for a Timothy Massie. I've sent them an email telling them to remove my number, so I guess I'll see if that works.

They call here at least 3 times a day. It's a recording asking for my name, then call back asking for my dad's name, then call right back asking for my mom's name.

I got a call asking me to press "0" if I was the person's name they stated. I was and I did, but then all I got was some music, as if I was on hold, and I waited about a minute and a half before hanging up. If this was someone that really needed to get in touch with me, then they should have a real person call, not an automated message. If they call again, I'm not picking up. I don't have time for that nonsense. :-P

thanks, jim. i called the number & told them that I've had this cell phone number for a year. She said she took me out of the database. We'll see. I've got the time, date & person I spoke to in case I have to call them again. Anyone have any luck getting off their call list?

Recording left on our answering machine saying they are PSS - calls from this number and from 919-719-2940. Calls several times a week for weeks. We never answer.

Usually does not leave message, however this time they did. It was automated said it was PFS and left a call back of 1-866-620-4645. They call like 4-6 times a day. Sounds like a company that calls for multiple collection companies.

I get a call every day wanting to speak to a Kelvin Cousins! I called these folks and they told me they would take my number off of there list. They did not ask me any questions, which i thought was VERY strange.

Calls every day. Recorded message asking for some guy we don't know. The only 2 options they give you is to either press "0" if you are him or get him to the phone. So, if you are not him (as we don't even know who this guy is) you have no option to tell somebody to leave you alone. I tried to hit "0" hoping that the "human being" would answer and I would tell them they got the wrong number. However I was placed on hold indefinitely. I also tried to call the number back. All I got was a busy signal.

I found free letters on adviceontime.com that you can mail to this a@@holes to get them to stop calling you. They also have an article on how to deal with them. Fight back, they have to respect your legal rights.

~First an automated voice mail from a medical collection agency out of NC~These ppl call where I work, to the main switchboard that I answer for, asking for employees (that don't work there)..or employees(that do work there)but are not allowed to have personal phone calls during work hours. Our company is scrict about that. I tell them all the time that the employees they ask for are either terminated, or not allowed to accept personal phone calls. They laugh and threaten to come down and make me get the employee. I have talked with out legal department and they say I am within my rights to refuse to put the calls through because of departmental policies. Yet, they continue to call, sometimes as many as 10 times a day. Each time they "demand" that I "GET" that person "NOW"! ~~Did it ever occur to them that if the person has such outstanding bills (or their loved one did) that the person has passed away, is still not working because of medical condition, is way behond in bills because of a serious medical condition or the loved one it involves has passed away.~~

This is interesting. This number came up on my house phone. I didn't answer it, but another number, similar companies, keeps calling my cell phone, and an automated voice leaves a message on the answering machine, saying that there trying to collect debt money from someone I don't even know, and ask me to hang up the phone if I am not this person. I try to call the number that they give me to tell them that I am someone else, and to stop calling, but it doesn't go through. This is similar to Ellen's comment on this page, below, and Phil's, and Emily's comment. But why are they calling my cell phone? I just thought since someone was in debt, they made up a false telephone number because they didn't want to be caught, and it just happened to be mine. I wish they would stop calling my phone, there is no way in hell I am in debt, or I wouldn't be typing this message, and I would be homeless. Whoever they are they need to stop calling!!!

It's ACS, and they're looking for me over a hospital bill that I'm working on. I've told them numerous times not to call my cell phone and they won't remove the number, so I just don't answer.

There is never a person to talk to...If you call the number back it is always busy.

This is a collection agent, they call my cell phone. You can call their office direct @ (919)755-3900 or E-mail them. I do not know how effective this is. Good luck all

Got 2 calls from this number - did not leave message. Also recvd call from 919.863.0689 which I guess is the same place.

They called I answered. A recording came on asking if I was Olivia Lopez, I tried to wait on the line to tell them that there was no one who lived here by that name. I never got to speak with anyone, maybe next time I'll say I am Olivia so maybe I can talk to someone!!

They also call me looking for "Alisha Brown" Or Amanda Rice.

This company keeps calling me for a debt owed by an "Alisha Brown" although I've had my home number for a year and a half and never heard of Alisha Brown. I have telephoned them several times to ask them to stop calling my number as I do not have unpaid debts and am not Alisha Brown. They promised they would stop calling, but have not. Where can I file complaints about this?

MAchine called and asked me to stay on line. It started ringing for someone else to pick up, and after 10-12 rings, I hung up. Redials gave me a busy signal.
