Who Called Us

Hello everyone, I have just been notified that my information was posted to this website. First I would like to say that this number was disconnected when I moved. I found out from the FCC, that the number was spoofed by people who were trying to run a scam. Second, I would like to say to the blogger Lee, who posted personal information on here about me this was totally disrepectful. If you went to the point to look information up about me you could of contacted me personally and this could have been solved a long time ago. You could have gotten me killed or hurt by an upset person who was receiving these calls. There were 18 or more reports posted on this web about calling and only a few people stated to call the FCC. Instead everyone else just continue to keep the fire going. I'm a mother and an adult who would never play on the phone. I'm very upset because my name has been posted on a lot of links for this foolery. Please next time if someone is calling and getting on your nerves contact the FCC A.S.A.P because nine times out of ten it is a scam and the person name who is coming up on your caller I.D don't even know that their name is being used in this scam.

First of all who's ever calling you should, have caller id the caller the owner of the number has not lived in that area in over two to three years, lets be adults if its the wrong number don't answer.aND YES WE HAVE NOTIFY THE FCC HAS BEEN CONTACTED AND WILL BE DEALT WITH.

This number has been calling us for over 6 months. My wife and I work nights on weekdays and weekends. Yesterday, Saturday August 23, 2008 my wife was awoken at 08:30 by a phone call from 913-397-0998, Kansas. She explained that the person they were looking for (same last name as ours) does not live here and never has lived here. She went on to explain that we work nights and please stop calling...this past Friday there were 10 messages from this Kansas company. This morning August 24, 2008 at 08:30, we were both awoken by the same number calling from Kansas...this was after a thorough and honest explanation provided to them yesterday...WTF...! This Kansas company needs to be fined by the FCC for harassment...!

My wife and I both work nights. This Kansas company has been calling our home number for over 6 months...all hours of the day and night. Yesterday, Saturday August 23, 2008 they called at 08:30 and woke my wife. She explained that there is no one here by the name of Steve...with the same last name as ours. Caller ID showed Tenil Shorter calling from 913-397-0998 (which according to my sources is in Olathe,KS). I searched records and found out that Tennil Shorter and her husband, Jeffrey, live in a duplex at 15053 W. 123rd Circle, Olathe, KS 67217!

So do most people call back numbers on their caller ID? I find that strange. I don't look at caller ID unless it pertains to voice message. I really don't care if someone called my number in error, so why call back every number that calls you while at work? Different strokes.

If it is important, there should be a message. Hell even debt collectors for neighbors leave me messages. Something I ignore.

This is annoying as Hell, this 913-397-0998 has called my home for 2 monts, never left a message. I don't answe blank calls and will not start. If this important enought to call my home 16 time in day, it's important enought to leave a message.

I DON'T HAVE ANY CREDIT CARDS.
THEY DON'T TALK EVEN IF YOU ANSWER THE PHONE.

Have been calling at least 6 or 8 times daily for a couple of months. I never answer. I tried to log their calls off my caller ID, but now it seems that each call I get from them erases any record of their previous call from the received calls list.

for people we do not know...it's our phone, we pay for it not them. Never leave a

They call at least 10 times a day and I have an answering machine......but this company is so stupid as never leaves a message and only says.....hello......hello.......cannot they figure they have an answering machine.

Three calls while I was at work, per Caller ID, no message. To the trolls telling us all to pay our bills, let me help you with your ignorance. These jokers (and those at other bottom-feeding collection agencies) pull phone lists by last name. When I have answered calls like this -- and they usually call while I'm at work -- they NEVER ask for me. It's usually someone else who shares my last name (though in the months right after I got this # I did get calls for a person with a totally different name, who I guess had this # before I did). And just try telling them that the person they're asking for isn't at this number. They call you a liar, and worse. They start from the position that everyone they talk to is lying to them. Then they get abusive. I just don't answer numbers that I don't recognize any more, and turn off the ringer on the phone if I don't want to hear it ring. But don't take an attitude with us, trolls. The fact that it's a collection agency calling does not mean that the person being called owes a debt. Bottom feeding scum suckers like these critters have nothing better to do than try every number listed for anyone with the same last name, and don't give a flip who they annoy (or curse at, or ... ) and nothing to lose.

Started getting these calls early August, 5-10 times a day, i don't answer numbers i don't know, found it odd they didn't leave a message. called number from another phone and it said it was not a working number. Called my cell phone co. to report it in case of fraud and they tried the number as well and said they got the same answer, it was not a working number. I am guessing this is a group of people calling people who owe others money and trying to get your personal information for identity theft or something fraudulent. If it were a legitimate business they would leave you a message or speak to you professionally when the phone was answered. I am getting 5-10 calls a day from this number. I would be glad to join a class action law suit if one is filed.

Called today left no msg

They are called Encore Receivables Management. Their direct dial number is (866) 247-1087. They don't know who Tennil Shorter is, but the operator also told me that, due to security, she couldn't tell me much. I bet that this Shorter person works for them and is calling from their own phone. The Encore company is in Olathe, Kansas just like the Tennil Shorter number originates. I told the operator that there is a large number of people who are angry that the phone keeps ringing without anyone on the other end. I told her that her company better figure out the problem before they have a load of angry people calling. The operator tried to tell me that it was computerized and it will hang up if it doesn't detect anyone on the other line, which is BS because I jump on the phone whenever I see "Tennil Shorter".

This number calls my phone at least twenty times a day, even on Sundays. I tried to call the number back, it says it is not a working number. I answer and there is silence on the other line. It does not leave a message either. It is very annoying and disruptive. I wish it would stop. It statrted about a week or so ago and has increased in frequency since then. Thank you.

I think this is indeed Encore or ERMI, Encore Receivable Management, Inc. (ERMI) a collection agency out of Olathe,KS. Keep a log of times and numbers they call from. If they call you more than 5 times in a day you can report them. I don't think they can call before 8:00 AM or after 9:00 PM. Review the comments below on how and to who you can report them to.

I received a call from this number today. They never leave a message and then when called back it says number not working. I am getting sick of it because they call all day long.

I've gotten these calls for the last few days
They call every hour and I haven't gotten any response when calling back.
For those who are saying it's a real debt you owe, I have no credit cards and no bank account, I am under 18 and have no bills I pay monthly, therefore no debt.
They tarck new phone numbers.
I am the only one who gets these calls in my household and I got my first phone a few months ago.

i have no idea who this is....i pay all my bills (contrary to what yarrr says)....they call about every 15 mins....extremely annoying since i work midnight and am trying to sleep during the day....i refuse to answer if i don't know who's calling...at least leave a message...these people are sooooooooo rude

Most likely it's Encore Receivable Management in Olathe, KS, but won't answer to find out. Do you have a credit card issued by GE Money Bank or Discover? Missed a payment? Also get calls from 888-545-4511 or 877-409-2110? These are known Encore numbers.

Debt collector looking for blood. Don't put up with harassment. Write them and demand no more calls to your cell phone.

pay your past due bills and the calls will stop :p

ignore the calls and they will keep coming. simple as that. if you say you don't owe debt, your probably full of it. these people don't call because they enjoy it. YOU OWE MONEY $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

This is annoying, no one "talks", the calls come 5 or more times a day, etc. I see the name of the Company showing up on the Caller ID from others, being changed.

I have received numerous calls from them in the last few days. Sometimes it shows up as Tennil Shorter. But I noticed one person below also mentioned ERMI. They are indeed a collection agency. I keep getting calls from this person. When I call the number back it says the number is out of service. When I answer the phone the line is silent. No one speaks and I do not hear a sound.

They called my mothers cell phone, and finally left a message looking for "Travis Ballard". I told them that it was not his number, but I could help them find him via Google. Today they called the home phone looking for "Travis" again, told her the same thing as before. We pay our bills and the only one that I owe money to is my dad for a small loan to buy a car. I know that this may sound crazy, but just answer your phone. They were kind of direct about this "Travis" guy, but I told her that he does not live here, or have I ever heard of him. Looks like I better check Equifax to confirm that my "credit info" did not get borrowed.

Started calling 08/08/08, called 10 times, called 15 times on 08/09/08

These assholes are caling nonstop for a person that does not live here anymore. They are a low life collection agency who even hangs up on you when you say hello. I am trying to get a class action lawsuit going against them for harrassment and against anyone who hires them. They harrass inocent people non stop and had the nerve to tell me I broke the law when I told them I was the person they were looking for just to see who hired them. It was QVC and their corprate office will be recieving the same sort of harrassment if they don't change their ways. They never sent a bill to this address or made a phone call to inquire about not being paid yet they hire thugs to call here and harrass the innocent. QVC'S number is 484-701-1000 if you would like give them a taste of what they are doing to other people. I will be leaving a PO Box number soon to recieve any imformation from any of you wanting to sue them for harrassment also. Encore will pay. If they make sweet little ol me so angry I am sure someone crazier then I am will go in their with a machine gun soon.

I received a call said I was unable to talk at work, the woman refused to hang up tying up my line so I couldn't work, when I tried to us the phone she insulted me and swore at me repeatedly before hanging up never giving the company name.

this number calls, and no one answers the phone at the other end, it is just silence--when i called the number back, a recording says the number is discnnected.i don't owe anyone,or collection agency's any money, so why do they keep calling?--at least they should answer when i answer at the other end--and why does the recall say the number is disconnected?---i have a star 60 option with my cable phone service--i press that --punch in their number and they can not call me anymore---any one having this problem --check with your cable phone srvice, or phone provider, and see if you have a similiar option to block their calls---

They have started calling around 8:30 in the morning. I don't answer.

i wonder if this is the same company calling from 571-431-1965 and 877-409-2110 which is an unscrupulous collection OR phishing call center (I think their name is ERMI?). They call 10-15 times a day asking for a male (I won't give his name but I'm a female). When they first called I didn't know who they were looking for so i gave them my phone number which they couldn't find in their database, so they asked for my SS# to look me up!!! I said no and hung up. That was 2 weeks ago and I have answered the phone multiple times to explain to them that they have the wrong person and the wrong number and the calls continue.

i got 5 calls from this number today, some people need to get a ****ing life...seriously.

I ANSWERED THE CALL IT WAS FROM A COLLECTION AGENCY WANTING TO SET UP A PAYMENT FOR A PAST DUE ACCOUNT. THEY WERE ACTUALLY VERY HELPFUL SINCE I AM BEHIND DUE TO NOT WORKING. SO IF YOU OWE ANY MONEY TO GE MONEY THATS WHY THEY ARE CALLING
