I do not have a wachovia account and this number has called me 3 or 4 times now. They better stop or there will be hell to pay...no pun intended!

It's Wachovia calling to let you know you OD'd your account. As if I did not know that already. Duh... I guess the folks in Charlotte, NC need that money to stay a float? I guess the big question is why the big boys have all flocked to NC. Hum... Must be some huge loop hole to crawl through and screw the hell out of us all. If they would change the shitty way they post transactions and do it like everyone else, we would be having this conversation. Once again I have to do battle with the Comptroller of Currency and send a nasty gram getting them to correct there ways! If someone called me and wanted my social it would be an instant hang up for me. I would never ever give a caller my social if I did not place the call in the first place. Guess it

this is not a real wachovia number. they continued to call me when my account was no longer overdrafted. i spoke to a branch representetive who called the number for me and confirmed it was a fraudulent number. likewise, if the bank did call you they would have your last name, social and account number in front of them when they called and you could ask for it.

I have seen in several places that people have called Wachovia and asked about this number. They were told that this is NOT a Wachovia number. Chances are, it's a scam. Might as well be safe, if you're unsure, and call Wachovia first to make sure.

They are a bunch of crooks. I went to put money in the bank (a Check) and they held it for 10 days because I had insufficent funds --- I had insuficent funds because they held the last one...go figure! I am outta there tomorrow!

Yep, agree with Scott. I never use this account, but pulled out the check card when the strip on my other one went bad. They cleared the transaction with the merchant even though there were insufficient funds. In a case like that why on earth wouldn't they decline the transaction??? Oh wait...its so they can charge a $25.00 overdraft fee. Silly me.

Apparently this is NOT really Wachovia...if you speak to anyone from Wachovia they are not affiliated with this phone number. Do not give out any of your personal information to this number. Don't even call it back.

From Wachovia, whom I had talked with the day before and was told there would be no problems concerning my account, even applied some kind of credit. This was a machine-- push this number, push that number--to use a credit card to cover an overdraft. Finally reached an automatic message that said to call back some other time when they would not be too busy to talk to me.

I received a call from this #. Didn't know it was from Wachovia. Sent it straight to my fax line. I have overdrafted my checking account, but have a problem with the overdraft charges and Wachovia will not return my e-mails and they charge $2.00 for a phone call regarding your account. I was appalled at this notion. They are not my attorney nor are they representing me in any way. And I will continue to leave the account this way until they respond to my concerns. Too scared to call since they charge for this service. Hope they don't charge for e-mails, too. However, I do not see how they come to this policy. Why charge for phone calls and not e-mails or online banking access, etc., etc. BEWARE WACHOVIA ACCOUNT HOLDERS!!!

I agree with scott regarding Wachovia's fee's. Did not realize they were that bad with their clearing policy!! Do now, I received a call from this number.

October 3rd, 2007 Scott

You get these guys calling you when you OD your checking account wanting to know when you're going to make good on bringing the account back into the black. If Wachovia would change it's shitty clearing and posting policy this would not happen!

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker or something like Nomorobo.
