Who Called Us

They call almost every day at 2:15 and the caller id says voice mail. I called back and it just rang.

they changed my phone bill payments and when i told them to let me think about it they hung up and i cannot figure out how to get a hold of them

i don't care if it doesn't apply. they're using that as a loophole to call.
i still reported them. F them.

since when is putting your name and number on the do not call list an invitation to call further? it's like they stop one kind of calls but give your names to another list of jackass tm's to call you. oh, we're gonna go ahead and do it anyway, we don't care...

we've been on dnc for more than 31 days so
i filed a complaint at dnc.

I wish I know how these jerks got my phone number. Their call is NOT welcome!

Keep getting calls from the same number for all the before mentioned reasons... I cant stand getting these calls...I'm always at work and not able to get my cellphone just have messages on my voice mail. Returned the call to get off their call list said number has been disconnected

These idiots called here at work today, on 2 seperate extensions that we have. This time they are wanting to help sexually abused and molested children.

called several times - ignored call

They called @ 1135 wanted to know if I wanted to know where the violent offenders live and what they look like. I asked them how they got this number and was told the computer I explained that we are on the do not call list and asked to be removed!

I received a call from this number 877-266-6277 asking if I wanted to know what kind of offenders live near me and if interested to press 1
but then I hung up the phone...now to realize on the news today that this company or people are scammers. Good thing I hung up

I called back to request to be taken off the list. The gentleman that answered hung up on me when I asked to be removed.

Left a message about info. on sex offenders in my area. They called me before but I don't know when (their phone # was already here when I started to type it in). DON'T EVER CALL THE NUMBER(s) BACK!!!!! AS SOON AS YOU CALL THEM, YOUR FEDERALLY PROTECTED PRIVACY IS GONE BECAUSE YOU NOW HAVE CONTACTED THEM! IT'S A LOOPHOLE. REPORT THEM AT donotcall.gov AND EVENTUALLY THE GOVERNMENT WILL TAKE THEM DOWN!! I know you want to call them just so you can yell at someone but you just can't. This is the best we can do! Go to the website, every time!

I called the number back. The first person I talked with hung up on me when I refused to give her my name, but the second person said our number could be taken off of their calling list. We'll see if they follow through on this.

Got a recorded message asking if I wanted to know about "sex offenders in my area." It also went into statistics about child molestation. I called the number and requested to be taken off.

Anyone who receives a call from this number needs to please file a complaint form 1088C with the FCC.

Today I got a call from this same toll free number. I am going to report them to the local television investigative reporter here in Atlanta. DNC may prevent calls from telemarketers but you also have the right to not be called again by an organization.

I called them back, asked to be removed. The lady was very nice, apologized for any inconvenience & said my number was removed. She also reminded me they were non-profit therefore weren't governed by the DNC rules. I said I knew that but don't call again.
We'll see.
People- don't get so eaten up with hatred over things you don't agree with, just take the time to take the correct actions; also understand the laws of the DNC for petes' sake!

Ok I did some research thsi is a telephone company called United American Technologies you can find a great article on wikipedia they attempt to use conservative views to get people to switch phoen services. Thay are soliciters bound by the do not call regulations and have been recipients of many law suits.

Recorded message with mucho fearmongering about sex predators. I pressed "1" & said (to human) "Take this number off your calling list immediately." We'll see.

Got a recording of a lady asking if I would like to know about sex offenders in my area. What crimes they committed and where they live. When I picked up and did not say anything, they hung up. I guess they are listening to see if anybody speaks before a live person comes on the line. I bet they would then ask for some donation to help their cause. Sounds like a scam!

Recording kept stressing to "Press 1 now!" to indicate you are against child pornography. Which of course, you are. But this sounds like a scam. You don't know if going further would actually get this stuff sent to your house. Ewww. No option for automatically being removed from their call list.

The recording claimed to be with the National Campaign to Stop Pornography. Press 1 for more information. I did...and the man who came on wanted me to personally identify myself. When I would not...he hung up. I called back...got what sounded like the same man...who also eventually hung up on me. I am not going to give out my personal info to someone I have no way of identifying (they have the caller id record...which from my understanding does not get blocked when calling 800 numbers). He sure did not want to give out any identifying information about his agency except for the speil about them being with the National Campaign to Stop Pornography (and I can verify this how?)

It is ILLEGAL for telemarketers to pose as religious groups or to use recorded messages.

If I were on the fence on this issue, the fact that they have telemarketers might convince me to support gay marriage. That might be a good thing to tell them when they call, in fact.

These people have been calling at least once a week for several months. No one there to even tell not to call again. Even if the DNC rules do not apply to these calls, if you don't want someone to call your home, they should be made to stop!

Sadly, the DNC rules do not apply to political calls.

They are the National Campaign to Stop Pornography. I called them back because my daughter had answered the phone and I caught the tail end of a recording. They start out wanting you to sign a petition for tougher laws about internet access to porn sites aimed at children. They go on to explain that most major telephone/internet providers help fund a group that supports these kinds of sites and they want you to switch your service to United American Technology, which is a filtered internet provider. I never change anything over the phone anyway, so I told them I would call them back if I was interested. The gentleman was very polite and courteous, though I am on the DNC registry and do not like unsolicited calls. Nonprofit organizations are exempt from the DNC rules. They didn't mention one thing about gay marriage and I was on the phone with him for 7 minutes. I would have signed the antipornography petition if that was all the call entailed, but it seemed that I would somehow be agreeing to switch my phone service(a verifier would need to speak to me after I gave any info)which I am not willing to do.

they sent me materials as well, once, with an online location to take a survey that looked suspiciously like a personality test, rather than a genuine survey. I don't trust the motives of this one.

They have called 8 times with me telling do not call again. When I asked for a manager the manager slammed the phone down.

They claim to be against child pornography, but they obviously are stupid because they think all child porn is from gay couples, and not from religious organizations, as studies have shown.

I received a message from this number and (this time) it was the Parents Against Child Pornography thing. Probably just a front to get them in the door to talk about their same sex marriage shtick.

They called seeking support for Parents Against Child Pornography. I tried to talk to them, but they hung up on me shortly after reaching a telemarketer.

these people have been told not to call my phone number anymore and they keep calling. They are a group of so called concerned parents to stop same sex marriage. allowance for same sex marriage will open up the ability for authorizing insurance for kids over 21 who live in the same home as well as elderly parents. Also, there are tax benefits tied to this allowance.

A bunch of hate mongers destined for Hell, that's who they are. They don't even understand what they are "protesting" Report them to the Do Not Call people if your number is registered. I want to call them just to let them know I TEACH their kids and I'm gay. The next generation won't be tainted by their hate!

As others report, I have had my name removed from their DNC list three times now. They still call every 3 weeks or so. I'm also on state and federal DNC lists and have reported them.
