Called yesterday evening as ALZEIMERS from 951-289-4361. They will get no more donations from us!
They call at least twice a day.
DO NOT CALL LIST
Our neighbor passed away a few moonths ago & we made a donation to the Alzheimer's Assn on his behalf. Now these jerks are flooding us with give us more money calls. 8th call (some w/"Alzheimer's" caller-id but most "Not Provided") in the last 3 weeks. The more they call the less likely they will ever get another dime. I know it's a wonderful organization but telephone soliciting is such an intrusive and annoying way to beg.
when this number calls I pick up the phone and they hang up.
This is InfoCision acting on behalf of the Alzheimer's Association. (It is always better to donate direct to the charity, regardless what you may be told by the people calling.) Looks like this company is relentless. They are using many different numbers, including:
888-771-2959
951-281-3716
866-855-8398
877-224-5803
877-213-1826
The reports I've seen in other states also say that InfoCision clients get around half the gross, if they're lucky. At least one is nearly underwater from its admin fees. See discussion under this number: 9018819984
These calls are coming from InfoCision Management Company, a FOR PROFIT telemarketer that handles fundraising campaigns for lots of charitable organizations, including the American Heart Association, American Lung Association and the Alzheimer's Association (this call). I have dozens of calls on my Caller ID display each month from an InfoCision caller, usually identified as a "Toll Free Call". According to the Pennsylvania Charitable Fundraising Database, the Alzheimer's Association received just 48% of the contributions made through InfoCision in the state from 2002 through 2009. Yes, InfoCision received just under $900,000 of the $2,055,041 generated in Alzheimer's Association fundraising campaigns during those years, in Pennsylvania alone. That's one client, and one state! No wonder they're so aggressive! It seems to pay. Since I'm rarely home when they call, I'm not likely to ever get to ask them to stop clogging up my Caller ID.
This number calls once a day. I never answer, and they never leave a message.
Answered call no one on the line.
Since our daughter donated once to this organization, we've received calls almost daily from different toll-free numbers, most of which do identify them.
Woman called 7:30PM on Sunday night. Identified herself as calling on behalf of Alzheimer's, thanked me for past support but was rather insistent on sending me a package so that I could contact friends and family in order to generate additional contributions. Looks like aggressive greed. Did some research - The CEO, Henry Johns, pulled down $706,845.00 in salary and benefits last year.
Called this morning before 8:30. Whoever this is has a lot of nerve.
They got my answering machine; some stupid chick just kept saying, "Hello? Hello...Hello?"
Hung up on machine
