Who Called Us

This dishonest company is trying to be ‘an annoying stalker’ from Oct. 2012. They are calling almost every day and do not live any message. I am on the The National Do Not Call List (DNCL) and had a phone call to DNCL, 1-866-580-DNCL (3625), November 19th 2012 and had conversation with John Robert. This guy from DNCL did not want to write down the dates when I have this so annoying call; this John Robert might only to read the Unsolicited Telecommunications Rules. I was forced to interrupt him and had continued these rules by myself. I forced him to write down all dates but I am not sure that he did this. But he promised to transfer my complaint. November 19th 2012 I had 24th phone calls from 1- 866-801-1526. And today, January 2nd 2013 I had this annoying phone call #40 at 9:52 am from 1-866-801-1526. This John Robert did NOTHING with my complaint.
I would like to ask DNCL for what they get the wage???? For doing NOTHING??? Shame to both these companies – and to ‘Junk-stalker1-866-801-1526’ which has a pleasure to call a second year, and to DNCL, 1-866-580-DNCL (3625), that does northing and gets a wage.

So how do we get the calls to stop?

Report a phone call from 866-801-1526 to the Prime Minister's office.

Keep getting these calls from Icore Canada. They leave a fast brief message. Not sure if it's related to Bell or Rogers.

When I answer it's says to call back asap because and that it's important, but I don't get to hear the beginning of the message because while I'm saying hello the message has already started and then leaves the number 1-866-801-1526. I think it's a scam and it wants you to call back...don't

I received the first automated phone calls on Sept. 7, 2011. It is now Oct 25 and they have not stopped. No name shows up on the telephone display. The voice message slyly gives no company name except "Canada" at the end, as if the first part of the name has accidentally been deleted. The message insists that I call 866-801-1526. I never answer those kind of calls so I am ignoring it. I understand that debt collection agencies, who think you may know the name of someone they are pursuing, use this tactic because for them to call you in person could be an infringement of the law – and THAT IS WHY THEY HARASS YOU INTO CALLING THEM because, if you do so, they are legally in the clear.

On the other hand, it could be an identity fraud scam - see Joe's story below. Either way, don't call them and definitely report them, as I will be doing as soon as I find out who the appropriate authority is. What is interesting is that this scam seems to have access to debt-related info. Now how did they get hold of that? Hmm...

We bank on the call every 7:30 am, EVERYDAY, and every day I tell them there is no ROD here. They say they are calling about an issue with the "City of Barrie". We haven't lived there for twenty years and not in the habit of leaving behind messes. These people are unreal and we be contacting the police if they continue to call this week!! We have told them over and over if they wish to mail us something they are more than welcome but will not be providing any information. Unreal!!!

A woman who could not even speak proper English wanted personal info over the phone. Fraud ignore calls from them. Says she is from a collection I do not have anything in collections.

THEY HAVE CALLED ME SEVERAL TIMES. THE ONE TIME i ACTUALLY SPOKE WITH SOMEONE SHE SAID SHE HAD SOME INFORMATION TO DELIVER AND HAD TO MAKE SURE SHE WAS SPEAKING WITH THE RIGHT PERSON. THEN SHE TOLD ME MY BIRTHDATE AND MONTH AND ASKED ME WHAT YEAR I WAS BORN? SHE WANTED ME TO TELL HER MY ADDRESS, AND I ASKED HER WHAT THIS WAS REGARDING. SHE GAVE ME SPECIFIC DETAILS OF A DRIVING INFRACTION I HAD IN 1995, AND SAID SHE WAS DOING COLLECTIONS FOR THE "CITY OF TORONTO". I DID HAVE THIS PARTICULAR INFRACTION BACK THEN, HOWEVER I HAD PAID IT OFF IN 2001. NONE OF THIS SEEMED OFFICIALTO ME. SHE SAID THEY HAD AMILED ME SOMETHING AND IT HAD BEEN RETURNED FROM ME? I HAVENT RETURNED ANYTHING LIKE THATIN THE MAIL. FURTHERMORE, MY CELL PHONE IS REGISTERED IN MY FRIENDS NAME? SO HOW DID THEY CONNECT ME TO THAT CELL NUMBER (SCARY) I ALSO LIVE IN B.C. AND HAVE SINCE 1996? SO THE "CITY OF TORONTO"???? IS JUST LOOKING ME UP FOR TICKETS NOW??? I DON'T THINK SO, BESIDES I PAID THE ACCOUNT IN FULL YEARS AGO. THERE IS DEFINITELY SOMETHING FISHY GOING ON HERE. I SUGGEST THAT IF THESE PEOPLE Call you GIVE THEM NOTHING! ESPECIALLY DONT ANSWER ANY OF THEIR QUESTIONS ABOUT PERSONAL INFO. THEY ARE DEFINITELY WORKING SOME KIND OF IDENTITY FRAUD SCAM!! SO BE CAREFUL AND HANG UP ON THEM, OR BETTER YET BECAUSE IT IS USUALLY A DIFFERENT PERSON EACH TIME THEY CALL, NEXT TIME WHEN THEY ASK IF YOU ARE WHO YOU ARE, TELL THEM THEY HAVE THE WRONG NUMBER AND HANG UP AND THEY WILL STOP TRYING, WORKED FOR ME. BE CAREFUL OUT THERE THERE ARE SO MANY SCAMS YOU NEVER KNOW WHO YOU ARE DEALING WITH ANYMORE! GOOD LUCK

They are calling up to 3 times a day, from 7:45 to 9:20, and I believe other call that just hang up.
How can I stop this, we are 76 and 80 years of age and dont need this.

this place keeps calling my house for my nephew ,i have told them so many times to stop calling cause he is in jail for the next 3 yrs.they dont seem to get what u tell them, like enough already stop harassing me,i dont know who they r or y they want my nephew,but they could have the decency to stop calling me when i tell them ,every dam day all day long

call from 866-801-1526, said they are a collection agency named icorn, obivious they had the wrong person. extremely rude. we called back and got another rude person who hungup when we requested a supervisor to report they had the wrong person. Little do they know, I'm a federal police agent who going to make their day today from work after I check them out.

Okay everybody - you can stop feeling helpless, trapped, held hostage and frustrated. I got my life back by using PhoneTray Free 1.35. Just download the file, purchase one of the inexpensive modems that PhoneTray recommends and you can kiss those annoying phone calls goodbye. They still may call but PhonTray intercepts the calls after 1 ring, hangs up on them and they won't be able to leave messages (which are just as frustrating to deal with). Eventually it will stop. These @$$holes have been calling me 5- 10 times a day on my cell and have called me at work twice. As a victim of identity fraud, I am working with equifax and the RCMP but these people keep calling me, even though i have told them it is being delt with, and no i will not pay them anything, since it is not my debt. They keep threatening legal action on me, which they cannot as a identity fraud victim. I am getting seriously annoyed with it and am considering changing my phone number.

by law if you tell these people to 'DO NOT CALL HERE' they have to stop calling, and if they do, you legally have a right to sue them.try this it has to work.

This is rediculious, they have been told over and over that my son does not live with us and still call all hours of the day. Do they think we can control our grown childrens actions, or think we can pay for them? I wish we had the means to do that, but since we don't, do have to live with there calls forever? We are not in the best of health and often retire early, this is so maddening. Ideas anyone?

How many times must they be told that they have the wrong name and address?? Need some sound advise how and where to stop them calling. Do police act on these requests?? Would someone please update this site re how to put an end to icor canada??

Wow - they are persistent for sure... again looking for someone else but they call all day any day. Collection companies, by my understanding, have certain guidelines as to times they are permitted to try to make contact and this company is way out of bounds. I have the number saved on my phone as DO NOT ANSWER. I too can play it out as long as they can. Good luck everyone.

These #$%$% call me 5 -6 times per day sarting at 7 : 15 a.m. and as late as 8:45 p.m. . They never leave a message. I called them to see who they were. they were evasive and rude and i wasn't even the person they were looking for, it was the previous owners of the house I bought a year previously. However they still call and call and call. I think I will take the route of other testimonials and call the OPP and see if they can do something about these idiots.

They called and when I answered the guy I spoke with was beyond rude, saying I was immature and not responsible after asking a few questions about why he was calling and the fact that I had settle with this company well over 2 years ago. I had asked to speak to a manager and he said no, that I had to call back and get someone else to transfer me to a manager. I asked for his name and the number to reach a manager and he says "You would need a pen for that, do you think you can find one??." So if you get a guy named SID hang up quick as he is very rude and unprofessional, but I guess thats the kind of people that this company hires!!

They have called 10 times over the last week. I usually hang up as soon as I hear that no one is immediately there. When we did speak to them they
wanted someone who wasn't even at our address. They said they would remove our name, but still called 2x again. What a nuisance!

I started making a game of it; seeing how fast I can answer -> hang up. The games are becoming less and less now, more and more days apart (from daily to twice a day sometimes).

These people have called repeatedly for months,up until now it has just been messages on my machine but I got very angry when they woke me last Saturday at 7:03 am. Then again 2 more calls last night on my machine...so I called...I told the guy to highlight my name and remove me from the list or I will call him every flippin day at all hours ...he will remember me I was a potty mouth...LOL.hmmmmmm no message today we'll see.

This number calls me 3-4 times per week.
I have never returned the call as they do not say what they are calling about,just an automated message proclaiming the importance of returning the call, also I assume it is a collection company and as I have no debts the calls are in error.
I have registured my # with the do not call center but still they get through.
It is very annoying and damn invassive of my time. Even if I answer the call it is an automated message, not even a real person to tell to f@*k off!!

They are asking I believe for a Devin something. She is very difficult to understand but it's always the same woman calling. I have told them repeatedly to stop calling, they have the wrong number and they still keep calling. I called in a complaint to the OPP today.

this number is from Iqor Canada, a collection agency. do not return calls here, this is spam a message " this is iqor canada it is very important to return this call" report this to consumer protection or the do not call registry.

Maybe someone should use a fog horn

My number is unlisted. They continue to call for my son. After I continuously demanded for the caller to identify themselves, the woman said "Icore Canada Collections". How ironic since my son owes nothing. The calls continued. Well I have reported these callers to the "Ontario Provincial Police phone busters". The next evening a call from them again and to no surprise the caller was a male. I had informed the caller I have reported them to the police. These individuals become abrupt, rude, evasive and begin to become irrate when you begin to ask questions of them.

I am sick and tired of these people calling at all hours of the day - nerve wracking - I have a son in the army and everytime it rings, I am scared to death that its to do with my son - they are calling for other son and have checked and no money is owed - what can we do to get them off our backs?

She was very evasive in providing information because she was asking for my son - they had previously called before and I told her to call when he would be home, they never did. She gave me a reference #.

These idiots tried to get through at 0750h ET on Friday morning. Luckily all toll-free numbers go straight to voicemail, so no-one was awoken by this call. They did not leave a voicemail, unlike on the other numbers they call from: whocalled.us / whocalled.us / whocalled.us / whocalled.us

this non-english speaking person calls 2-3 times per day....starting early in the morning

They called three times to-day although we have been telling them for a month to stop because they have the wrong person.
