How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

they call and call and call
This is from Palmen Chrysler Jeep and they want to purchase your vehicle with a promotion to purchase a new vehicle.

I have had several calls over the past week from this number. I picked up once, but no one answered and it quickly hung up.
Received a calll from this number and the caller ID said "800 Service", of course they left no message.
I never get unwanted calls on my pay-as-you-go phone, not at least until today. I guard my phone number with my life. No one gets it because it is an emergency only phone, it cost too much to have conversations on a pay-as-you-go phone! Anyway, I recently dropped Facebook because of a potential, dangerous, stalker and had to open a new account. Just after opening my page and sending three or four friends request, Facebook locked me out saying my account was reported as fake. They requested my phone number or government photo id. I opted for the phone number but gave them my cell because I can just replace it if necessary. This was on Friday 6/22/2012 and now, today I get this call from someone I don't know. Facebook sold my number on one of those information lists, probably and now I will be hounded by marketers and others who get hold of my once private number!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was a rep calling on behalf of a local car dealership. He asked if I had a few minutes to answer questions and proceeded to ask how many miles was on my car. I stopped him at that point and said I was not interested in trading in my car, if that was where the conversation was going. He obliged and ended the call.
