Don't believe this really is Country wide or Bank of America. They ask questions to extract personal info.
Guy claimed to be agent Jerry, agent number 448579.
I've gotten real calls from Bank of America, so I know the difference.
If this is countrywide we don't have a mortgage with them anymore they sold it to another company so they need to stop calling. They call over & over & never leave a message.
They left no message.

They call here constantly and i told them to take my number off their list and they said ok and within a few minutes later they called again. I am tired of them calling here constantly.
Countrywide calling i guess - according to other posts on this thread. - i never answer unknown callers - i wrote and asked them to remove my name and number months ago - and as usual they ignored my request - ok Countrywide - do it too many more times and I will report you to BBB and FTC - as i am on the DNCL .
I keep getting repeat calls 3 or 4 times a day. Who is this caller? Can anyone help me find out who this is?

I talked to them after they called over and over. Hopefully it really was someone from Countrywide Mortgage Company.
call all the time - never leaves a message - i think it is countrywide mortgage company - i am getting very irratated with this company. they caused the problem in the housing industry , and now they want to rook me into something to help bail them out. NO WAY !
They seem to be desperate to make personal loans, but I'm sure the last thing they want is to lose our mortgage business. I'm so tired of their mail and phone calls I'd like to look for a lender who might take the mortgage off their hands without going through another lengthy application and fee. Trouble is, the mortgage companies sell our loans back and forth like dealing a card game, and I could ending being sold downstream to them again.

This is from Countrywide. They call us EVERY freakin' day. Today we received calls at 12:15pm, 1:20pm and 2:30pm. Same as everyone else... no person on the other end, no answering maching message.

It was after 8 pm edt just put the baby to bed and ringggg! I asked if he knew what a time zone was and he said no. He said he was calling from CO I think, I asked if he knew what state he was calling and he said no!!!!! Nice CountryWide...nice. BONEHEADS!
Here is another possibilty and problem. Because Congress has failed to act, businnesses are indirectly allowed to call anyone repeatedly at any time. Because "caller ID spoofing" is not illegal, what's to keep Countywide for claiming "It's not us it's a spoofer." Also, It may truely be an ID spoofer. We may never know. I get calls often now despite the fact that I am on the do not call list. There are websites that allow for false caller ID. It's called "caller ID spoofing". Here is a link to a USA Today article about it usatoday.com. ID spoofing is a form of identity theft and should be protected / punished as such. It's not. Elderly are being scammed regularly. Imagine, Your banks caller ID shows up. You answer, the calling person asks for personal information such as SS# so as to securely discuss your mortgage. You tell them. In reality it is a scammer using "caller ID spoofing". You have been phished. Congress needs to act and act yesterday with a hammer fist. Caller ID spoofing is not a joke or harmless prank. It is identity theft with devastating results. Then again, some businesses may oppose that legislation, rendering the "do not call list" useless.

18 of 40 CID's is this number. I would call this harrasment. They never leave messages and always call twice.
It is my understanding that the number 800-518-0270 belongs to INFLUENT, a 3rd party on contract with Countrywide. They generate calls to numbers that is provided to them by Countrywide. My phone number is unlisted AND is on the National DO NOT CALL Registry for over a year now. I have explained it to Countrywide that I am NOT (and I WILL NEVER BE) their customer; but they seem to be too dense to understand that! All they do is to keep saying "I'm sorry" and continue to generate calls AGAIN, and AGAIN, and AGAIN! I was able to get to speak with the supervisor at INFLUENT (Mr. Matt Shook) and he provided me with a point of contact at Countrywide (Mr. Jim Mooney and his manager Mr. Kevin Gillmore (???) at 866-518-0270). (Note: the number seems to be the same with the 866 as area code instead of 800). Mr. Mooney promised to have my number removed from ALL OF THEIR DATABASES; so as to never ever ever get a call from them. That remains to be seen! I have never been so fed up and utterly disgusted with a company as much as I am with Countrywide!

This is Countrywide Home Loans. I have had conversations with them (if it is really them). When I call back the number, the greeting is indeed Countrywide. I do think it is them and it is valid as I am a customer. I have asked them to stop calling, they just want me to refinance into a loan that is not good for me. They put me on a do not call list. We'll see. I have a countrywide direct loan officer from a local office so he can take care of this if they don't stop calling. Give that a try too....call your local office, they are in every major city.

Countrywide. I have an existing loan, and I'm not interested in another or a refi, but these guys are relentless. They call several times a day. I just pick up without saying a word and place them on hold. Yesterday the caller stayed on the line (I had it muted) for several minutes. I'll NEVER use Countrywide again!

There was a pause after I answered, so I knew it was computer generated. When they asked for me or my husband and couln't pronounce our last name, I said neither one was home right now, could I take a message? She said "no message, ma'am" and hung up.
Countrywide called 7 times yesterday!. We block this number so it doesn't ring through but see it in the phone logs.

Countrywide called us from this number. We have a mortgage with them, but this is someone trying to offer us different financial products and refinance offers. I told them I wasn't interested last week, and they called back today.

I have a mortgage with Countrywide. It is a recording to offer me an equity line of credit that I DO NOT WANT. This is very annoying and I want it to STOP. If I want another loan, I will apply for one.

As previously stated, it is Countrywide Financial's marketing department calling to offer a home equity line of credit to their existing customers. I called the number and stayed on the line after the recorded message and was connected to a "live" person. I asked the operator to place me on the do not call list and she took my information. She also mentioned that it may take up to 30 days to process the request... like that's believable.
We'll see what happens.

I have a mortgage with Countrywide. BUT, these people call, email and snail mail me constantly reminding me that I have good equity in my home and that I should take advantage of a home equity loan. PLEASE! I have equity because I don't take out their dumbass loans!
It is Countrywide. I called them to tell them to not call me again. Their phone center was closed (although I called them just three minutes after they called me). I then went to their website and tried to e-mail them. I got my information went in, the screen went blank, and a message came up saying something like 'we really want to talk to you. Give us a call.'
We are on the "do not call" list, but they continually call us - most of the time, even when we pick up the phone, it gets disconnected. They never leave messages. EXTREMELY ANNOYING
