How do you perform a reverse license plate owner check up? I have to know if there is any kind of way you can enter in a license plate number on the web and see the identify of the person if it belongs to or the address of that individual. Can anyone help me to solve this? This is an Illinois plate with S at the end of it. Please e-mail me whether you can do a search or post if you know how you can do a totally free one. This is crap!! Definitely a loser way to do business. Answered the phone and there was background noise, but no person or recording. Call back and get a recording trying to entice you into purchasing new products.

They called two days in a row, at different times in the day. After doing a Google search of the number it appeared that it was Sprint/Nextel (my provider) calling to find out if I wanted to add an additional line to my phone. I called the number back and it was indeed a recording from Sprint/Nextel asking if I wanted to add an additional line. All I had to do was press a number on the keypad to tell the "no". From what I understand that will stop the phone calls.

This def sounded like a scam to me. Claimed to be calling from Sprint, but didnt have any of my plan information. She first claimed that her system was down, then changed to saying that she had limited access only, and then changed back to claiming her system was down. She wanted to upgrade my plan, but didn't know what plan I had...wanted to upgrade my phone, but offered my lower phones. Definitely sounds like a scam to me. I'd be careful about giving them any information at all.

I get multiple calls from this number. Checked other "who called" websites and it is either Sprint, or an independent company hired by Sprint to get you to sign up for more features. It seems nothing can be done to stop the calls.

I have been on the do not call list for 5 years....they just ignore it and call anyway.

I have received several calls, one form 866-463-3021, and one from 818-986-6001, both was trying to give me a third cell phone at no charge. This has happened to me before, but it was for two new cell phones, like a dummy I took the offer, which almost cost me over $700 dollars. I was able to get Sprint to take away the charges and let me keep the phones. I did send an E-mail to Sprint about this, don't know if it will help, but like some others I will not keep Sprint if they can't get this stopped.

I just received this call for the second time in a week. I called it, listened to message asking whether I wanted to add a line to my Sprint contract, and then selected the option to "never" get calls for new features in the future. To say the least, I was p|ssed. I just called them and had me removed from their tele-marketing list (cell calls and text messages). I then sent the following email to Sprint's Customer Service (details of my displeasure and the result of the call): "I have been with Sprint for several years and have always questioned why. Your plans are expensive and your third-party marketing groups (866-463-3021) are obnoxious at best. I just called Sprint's Customer Service to have my name removed from all marketing lists via call and text message on my cell phone. As I was ending my call, I immediately received 4 text messages confirming my decision to "opt-out"! They were from the following 'numbers': 325433, 767463, 468767, 4347. This is ridiculous! I asked to be removed from your lists and you respond with 4 unwanted text messages?! I've had to put up with a lot from your company because my husband and my in-laws are on your plan but I have never been pleased with the service or the expense - I can't wait until my contract is up so I can go to another carrier. My husband and I can easily go with a company who respects their customers rather than harassing them. I regret waiting this long to make that decision."

I called the number back from a land line, it is Sprint. The message says they are calling to inform me of special promotions and to ask if I would like to add a new line to my account. It gives the option of .not interested in any promotion at this time.
Hopefully they will stop calling now.

This was a call from someone representing SPRINT service upgrades. They asked what my current bill was ($115) and offered me service instead for $69. The service sounded exactly like the service I have now. When I started asking them about extra taxes and service charges for data and txt plans they said all of that would be included on my new bill. SCAM! The lady said she that it was OK to trust her because the phone call was being recorded and that they can't lie on the phone. SCAM! DO NOT ANSWER THESE CALLS!

I have been getting hit up alot with unknown phone calls today. This time I answered and no one was there. I called the number back and it was Sprint. They want me to add a line on to my account. I let them know I do not want to be bothered by them with this campaign or any others.

I have been getting calls from this number for months. I tried calling the number back and it was a pre-recorded message from Sprint. I contact Sprint and they refused to do anything about it until I had given them my user name and password for my account. This is ridiculous. You have to wait three seconds before the person actually responds to your "hello". They've called several times and I actually spoke to them twice. Supposedly it's Sprint but I have a feeling that it's just a telemarketing company for Sprint. They were offering a free phone upgrade if I changed my plan. However, they didn't have the correct info for my existing plan (which I've had for a year now). They thought I was paying close to $100/month for my phone, it's really only $35. If it were really a Sprint person, wouldn't they have accurate records? When I said I only paid $35, they said "Oh, well we can't help you then."

SPRINT ASKING IF I WANTED TO ADD A PHONE TO MY NEXTEL PLAN.

All i get is a message telling me I have a message in a voicemail box. They call at all hours of the day and night, and it goes in spurts. Sometimes they call for 4-5 days straight, then not call for 4-5 days.

There was a message left on my voice mail, and all there was, was a bunch of background noises, people chatting, laughing, and going on about nothing. There was no one talking directly in the phone to leave a message for me!

Did not answer the phone but called back machine said it was sprint.

I also have a Sprint cell phone.

The caller , who did not identify himself, then asked the relative what I was paying for the cell phone service. The relative then hung up the phone.

I picked up the phone and pressed the button to take the call. Immediately my phone turned itself off. I had to remove the battery and reinsert it in order to make the phone work again. I have to remove the battery regularly, but this is the 1st time it happened at the same time as an incoming call.

Many seem to have received calls from this number on their cell phones, but my story is a bit odd. The woman spoke only after the second hello. She identified herself as a Sprint rep and asked to speak to Elizabeth Taylor. Yes, Elizabeth Taylor. My name is not at all similar. I could hardly contain my laughter as I told her she had a wrong number. I doubt this is the type of behavior to expect from a call center under contract with a corporation like Sprint. A highly ineffective scam if you ask me.

It is Sprint, trying to get you to take a survey. This is the 6th call. They will call right back sometimes and anywhere from 8am to 9pm.

It is Sprint marketing its new products to its existing customers. If you call back, there is an option for those who are not interested in ever hearing about Sprint promotions, but I'm not sure how reliable it is.

I just called Sprint and found out it is them calling. I have been on a do not call list since 2003. She said since I was a customer they are allowed to call. It's possible that a marketeer is spoofing Sprint's number on the caller ID. I've gotten 6 calls in the last week on my cell, but I never answer 866 calls on it, so... It would be very disappointing to discover this is truly SPRINT marketing their stuff to Sprint customers.

Yes, this is Sprint. Apparently they call existing customers and simply expect you to call back when you get annoyed. If you call back you can select option 6, "not interested in any new promotions," and hopefully this will stop the calls.

Called Sprint and told them to stop calling. Was told no way to block incoming calls. Put on hold, informed by Sprint technical support of the option to enable "no direct mailing" (I think this is USPS mail) and "no direct calling", this only applies to Sprint solicitations. You have to call Sprint to have this enabled, option is not available on the user side of the web site. Until I get the bill and find out if I'm truely getting billed for these calls, I don't know for sure it this will help. Also just completed the DNC registry for all my ph#'s.

This must not be Sprint, although thats their claim. I complaint e-mail to Sprint and filed with National No Call. Sprint must stop this or at least loss my business.

If this is actually from Sprint, I'm going to change my carrier. If your carrier is the one spamming and harrassing you, they need to go out of business. They've also recently spammed me with text messages trying to "show me features" of my wireless web service. They've called 3 times in the past month and don't leave messages.

I've been getting these calls for a week now once a day at first i thought they were telemarketers but then today when they called i just couldn't stand it so i decided to google it and see what i got and yes i have sprint too so if i recieve anymore calls i'mma call them and freak out on them and demand no more calls like that and if i get any more i'm dropping sprint and tellin everyone i know not to use sprint

This number is a sales call from Sprint. The want to sell you another line. If you call the number you get a Sprint recording telling you this.

I realize I always get a call from this number asking me for promotions ONLY when I'm over my minutes...it's is if they deliberately try to ring up your phone bill.

Got a bunch of calls from this Sprint toll free number, and complained to CA's State Attorney's Office, got my number removed, but I guess they have short memory span (2 months) and I just got a call from them again. If it keeps up, I will complain again.

This is Sprint and Nextel co. It is their promotion number that they use for an automated system. You have to call the number back from your cell phone and I think hit 6 so they won't call you back. ??? That is what I got when I called it.

This number has been calling my cell phone for the past couple of weeks. The first time I answered and I got a lady with a very thick accent trying to sell me Sprint stuff. I couldn't understand her very clearly, she was breaking up and it was very loud. I hung up on her. I thought that it was strange that Spring would be calling my number when it is not the number one number on our account. My husband's number is the primary and I am off of his account....

I have gotten this number a couple of times today and yesterday while at work, so I don't get to answer them. That's when I decdided to google the number and found this site, glad to know I'm not the only one.

They can't charge you for minutes if it goes to your voicemail can they?!

They called and didn't say anything when I answered so I just hung up. I called Sprint directly and asked if someone called me today. Lady said there were no notes that someone called. Received two calls in the past three days from this number. Both times I answered and an Indian Gentleman knew my name and said he was from Sprint together with Nextel and that the call would not count towards my minutes, I would get a free phone out of it, and they just had a couple of questions. I was asked questions like "do you make many international calls". I wasn't about to answer anything personal, but I wasn't asked anything unreasonable. The second call did ask when I started my service with sprint, so that seemed a little shadier (shouldn't sprint know when I started my sprint service).

I emailed Sprint support and they don't seem to know anything about this and the response was pretty unsatisfying. Not sure what to do if they keep calling back like many people on this page claim :-(

This number has called me several times. Today they left a very lengthy message (I assume on accident) of chit chat in what sounds like an airport or a call center (very noisy) and background noise.

They call once a month. When I don’t answer, they leave no message. The one time I answered it took them about 5 seconds before acknowledging that I answered the phone. He then went on about 2 phones for the price of one, a brand new plan, etc, and claimed to be calling from Sprint.

I never gave out the phone number to my secondary cell phone... Got a call from this number on 4-18-07 at 5PM, and another one at 12:35PM on the 19th, no messages left... I wish they would leave my phone alone.

Got this call at home, nearly broke my neck trying to find the phone only to find it was an 866 number. Hate that crap. Once they called me at around 9p.m....and I'm a school teacher who has a long commute, so I go to be about that time. Was I pissed to find Sprint trying to sell me (oh, sorry, GIVE me) a new phone. Not sure if this call costs anything or not, sure hope not, because I have the cheapo 200 minute plan.

Now, if they were offering me a free rack of lamb at a local restaurant, I might have not been so snotty to the caller.

i've been getting these calls for weeks now, honestly i thought it was an old employer until googling this number. i called 888-382-1222 to be added to the national do not call list and sent an email to officeofprivacy@nextel.com... we'll see what happens.

Someone from claiming they were from sprint called and were trying to sell me a package with all kinds of options included so i wouldnt have to pay seperately. Only thing is i have all the options in my current package. Wouldnt they know that if they were from sprint? Scam is all I know.

No one left message after calling on my cell. This number is making sure your curiosity will call it back to sell you something if you are on the "Do Not Call List." Clever ploy to sell you something. They are all doing it.

Just got a call from this number to my cell phone, no message and no one there when I picked up.

I have gotten calls from this number at least five times in the past month, I find it hard to believe it would be sprint behaving as unproffesionaly as alot of these comments suggest. I hate answering calls I donot know during day time mins, but I think I will next time just to see if it is as ridiculas as alot of these post claim. I have been a sprint user for about six years and will be very mad if it is them doing internal marketing.

I dialed the number back and got a recording asking if I was interested in adding an extra line of service to my existing plan.

I chose not to and hit #6.

i emailed sprint about this number .... thay say it is a sprint agent calling ...... they tell me to make them stop calling i have to call the number back and press 6 .....

They called, I answered, sounds of a call room but nobody spoke to me, then after 7-8 seconds they hung up. I've saved it as a "contact" on the cell phone and set it so it won't ring (silent), along with 866-463-3020. My solution for calls from people like that.

Call Sprint. Tell them about this website and the phone number. This proves that a lot of people are affected by these calls and they will investigate. They are doing that right now for me. Call customer solutions and let them know. If it isn't a scam then whatever...but if it is, something can be done.

THIS NUMBER IS A FRAUD! if this number calls you. I don't know what there motive is but I just talked to Sprint and they know nothing about this crap! don't tell them anything that they could benifit from. Most likely they have gotton into your online account and tell you just enough to make you listen. Be careful, change your online password and you should be good, I don't know if they will keep calling but you are all the wiser now

Received call today. Just showed 866-463-3021 on my phone. I don't give out my cell # so it looks like from what everybody else has written here it is a Sprint representative?

After receiving missed call, they have call several times with no message. I called them,Sprint wanting to sell service through a recorded message. If you remove your number they just move that number to a nother computer auto dialer.

I've gotten SEVERAL phone calls from Sprint from this number trying to sell me crap. I emailed SprintPCS and got an email reply back that I'd have to ANSWER the phone the next time they call back.

Since then my phone vibrates on its own and the buttons don't respond a number of times without having to press really, really hard for a response. Also, my phone will cut out the output speaker and vibrate at the beginning of a sent call. Frustrating. I wonder if this is a firmware upload sent by Sprint to make me feel I need to purchase a new phone without sending marketing materials.

For Sprint, if you call their servie number, *2, you can tell the represenative who answers to take you off the marketing call list.

Sprint. Tried to sell me an upgrade or a new line of service. It was 8:09 PM on Friday and 8:22 PM on Saturday. Because of those late calls, trying to sell me crap.. I cancelled my service with Sprint and switched Cingular.

I never give my cell number to anyone I don't want to hear from, and both my home and cell numbers are in the DNC. I NEVER answer "blocked ID" calls, "unknown ID" calls, or calls from numbers I don't recognize, nor will I ever return such calls unless they leave a message AND it turns out to be someone I want to talk to. [I believe this has happened maybe twice in the 4+ years I've had this phone.] Of course, no message was left, and that seems to be typical of this caller. So, I don't know who really originated the call - I just know that I didn't answer it, and will NEVER answer it no matter how many more times it shows up.

I guess my decision to try Googling this number - after having no luck whatsoever with 411.com's reverse lookup - was a good idea. I'll have to remember this site!

If they are calling to charge up minutes, call them back at the weekend. I have gotten calls from Sprint in the past month about new services. Last time, I told them I am not a contract customer but an "at will" customer having run the course of the contract a few years ago and I have no intention of changing anything and being bound by contract. If this does turn out to be Sprint, then I will ask them not to call anymore and let them know that I will cancel. They may not care if a contract subscriber threatens to cancel because the cancellation fee is a deterrant to that (was there with a billing dispute and issue of misrepresentation the first month I had them) but they do care if you are an at will and can cancel without penalty -been there, too. Had lots of discontent and trouble while on contract. After expiration 3yrs ago than changed and they have been great. I kept them because no one else has service in both RI and NH area where I spend a lot of time. Being a non-contract cell phone customer is the best cell phone experience I have ever had - things work the way they are supposed to and interaction is far more respectful. But I will switch and sign a contract and use a pay per use phone for the NH times where used minutes on road are few and I can bring Vonage for in home use. I won't be overjoyed to have a contract again but if this becomes a nuisance then there is no question. Before Sprint I had cingular and liked their system and customer service. It would not be a hardship.

Came two days in a row, both during the morning. No message either time. No identifying caller ID. Looked up online because was too late at night to call back if it was a person and I was curious -and I found this page. I have Sprint and after reading this will call them about it.

The number is for sprint to offer you more of their delightful services... on you you dime, or 40 cents as the case may be. I called them from land line and told them if they continue to call me I will cancel their service!

I tried to complain to sprints and they said they can't either block this number nor track where is it coming from, all they can say is to change my number. How ridiculous is this? I wrote to them to do something about this or we should all report to Consumerreport.org to complain about this.

In one of the calls, a woman spoke and told me to hold on for a minute and I could hear in th background people laughing and joking around. This went on for a couple of minutes before I decided to hang up.

After receiving several missed calls from this number, I finally called it back on Sep 9. The recording claimed it was Sprint, and gave me an option to remove myself from their list. Since then, I have received calls from a DIFFERENT number (866-463-3020), and removed my number AGAIN on Sep 19.

I received a missed call notification from (866) 463-3021. I looked it up and found out that this number has made the rounds across the US & apparently posing as a Sprint representative. I did the do not call registry for both cellular & landline, but I still get insane amounts of calls. I also found out that the registry may not go in to effect until October this year (2006). I guess I could start answering the phone "Good afternoon, National Security Agency, how may I direct your call?"
