Hmmm, I see the trouble in this thread started in April 2009 with that ninny ''Wyoming''. It's been wall-to-wall comments like ''stop calling'' and ''remove this number'' ever since. I hope you've all enjoyed the increase in junky calls from publicizing all those phone numbers you had meant to protect.

Now hear this: Your caller is not going to dutifully study random forum complaints and obey no-call orders based on anonymous comments. Your caller does not maintain this site or this web page. How you handle this depends on the type of caller and what's been said, which for the readers would have been very useful information to share. That is the function of a mystery caller site.

The magic phrase for sales callers is "Place this number *on* your Do Not Call list". Don't tell us, tell YOUR CALLER! Better still, find an address and send a cease-comm notice via USPS Certified with return card.

I have had 27 calls from this number. Never a message left. They just hang up. I am turning it over to attorney general.

I get a call from this number almost everyday. They always ask for Janice Jackson, and I always tell them they got the wrong number. This is my brand new cell phone number and I've only had it for 3 weeks. Will they stop calling me if I say she is dead?

These idiots have called my brand new cell three times in the week I've had it. I see that, from other posts, they get worse as time goes on.

Another thing is that I genuinely do not have an account with these people, or any credit agency in the US as I've only just moved here 3 weeks ago after living in Europe my entire life.

I have never been late on my card, I paid it off and closed the account in Feb 2008. The have been calling me ever since. They keep charging me the $8.00 monthly fee even though my account is closed. I have called 4 times to get them to stop charging me the 8.00 a month and sending me a bill and every time they say they will take care of this. They call my cell phone and home phone 8-12 times a day and no one is there when I answer. I just called the 866 number and was transfered to someones voicemail. I left a message telling them again to stop calling me and that my account is closed. I am calling an attorney because they are harrising me for no reason.

I paid off my Continential Finance credit card in Feburary and now they are having these people call me and say that I owe them money!!!!!!!

I don't owe anyone. This company is repeatedly calling my call to harass someone else who used to have this same phone number. However, in the process of harassing someone else they are harassing me. This harassment is indeed a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act as well as similar (in some cases more expansive) laws in the various states. The only thing that will stop this is to make it unprofitable by suing them and taking their money to which you are entitled as a matter of law and justice.

got a call tonight at 750 which i did not answer. the way i see it if it's important they will leave a message, right? I guess not. They have been calling for days, leave no message, and always call at night to where whenever I call back the "Ofices are closed".I work 10 hour shifts and dont always have time to return a call right away. these people need to get a damn life and stop bugging everyone.

I told this scum company off today.
they called where i work and asked for an employee. I told them that the supervisor would not allow personal calls, and for them to contact the person in another way or at a personal phone number.
They wanted to leave a message.
I told them i had a general voicemail box that all those employees pull messages from, and no personal messages should go on it.
Only business messages.
She replied "This IS busines!!"
I said " Not our company busines, so therefore, you WILL not get through!"
She says " Oh, I see, its that way huh? We'll see about that!!"
I said" Yep. Its that way. Try reaching that person another way, not at this number. You WON'T get through here, I will see to that!"

Then I hung up.

calls to my workplace for an employee that works night shift. keep telling them that employees can't receive personal calls and the person they want is on night shift, but they continue to call over and over. guess i will have to turn the number over to our legal dept. because they keep calling and harrassing.
