How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).

This number calls a lot, seems to be trapcall app I installed on my iphone years ago trying to get me to rejoin their service by calling and harrassing me pretending to be comcast or someone else.
I used Sean's advise (From his 2-25-2010 post) and used Comcast's own call blocking feature to stop the Comcast survey from calling me. Worked great!!
They call at least twice a day and never leave a message. This is harassment.
This is a persistent caller-I finally picked it up and they claimed to be comcast but they are not. They scheduled an appointment for me and when no one from comcast showed at the appt time, I called Comcast. They said they didn't have a work order in and didn't have any surveys done on the day I received my call. best to block this number.
I have been receiving calls from this number every day this week and at the same time. The caller just hangs up and doesn't even say anything.

almost always these days with big companies is that a machine will do the actual calling and it's supposed to switch to a human at some point. does'nt seem to always work. this is most likely some glitchy software on comcasts end. maybe? anyway call comcast and make them aware there is a problem. easiest thing is to complete survey i would imagine no matter how stupid it may be(if you actually get to that point on the call)seemed to work for at lesat one poster
Unknown caller out of area keeps calling and when I answer no one is on the line. Would like for it to stop. It happens enough to be annoying.
No message left, but we did have Comcast install Comcast Voice a few days ago. I just blocked this number via the Call Screening tab on the Call Manager on my online account. (I love that I used Comcast to block calls from Comcast. Great!)

Received a second call today from this number. When I answered, they just hung up. I decided to call Comcast. After being transferred to a second operator, he listened patiently to what I had to say and offered to put me on their do not call list. I said that was fine, but I wanted to have a message sent to someone who could do something about the issue. Again, he patiently listened while I explained that Comcast had hired a company to do the survey in order to increase customer satisfaction, but that the survey company, by acting irresponsibly, was creating a great deal of negative publicity for them instead. He took all this down and said he would forward it to his manager. It's all I can think to do for now. Remember - more calls equals getting something done.
I had a hang-up on my cell phone from this number. I called it back and it says that it is a Comcast customer satisfaction survey. Judging by comments on the net, it's clear that this is a survey company hired by Comcast to conduct a post-installation survey. I did have a Comcast installation in the last week. The reason for the hang-ups is that the machine that dials the phone for the survey company dials more numbers than they have people to answer them. The idea to to keep their workers busy. So they dial 20 numbers when they have only 10 phone workers, on the theory that 10 of them will be busy or not answer. However, if 11 numbers pick up, they don't have anyone to take the call and so they just hang up on you. Obviously the company controlling the machine can program the machine to make as many calls as they want - in other words they can control the "annoyance factor". These guys seem to value their own wallet more than their customers.
The way I view this is that they are taking advantage of poor consumer protection laws to annoy 1000's of people a day in order to save themselves a few dollars on their minimum-wage labor. If this outrages you, consider writing an email or calling your congresspeople. You can also call Comcast customer service and tell them that you are annoyed by their survey company. Many phone calls equals action on Comcast's part. Good luck!
I never pick up 866, 877, oe 800 numbers. They keep calling. Bastards.

This Phone # has been calling for three weeks atleast six times a day all times of the day and night I am getting ready to try gaing on donotcall.gov and block this #. I have never had any one pick up on the other end of the call. I can't stand this, comcast does suck they have to be the worst company I have ever had to deal with, they have been put weird charges on my bills and when I call them they can't tell what it is or why it's there and those charges on there made so I could not order the roy jones fight or any other movies for over a week intill they could find what they did wrong

This is customer service calling from Comcast. They called a few times everyday and since I didn't know who it was I ignored them. I saw here that people were saying it was Comcast, so I answered, answered the 4 or 5 survey questions they had and haven't had a problem since.
This number appears to be Comcast, 'gauging customer satisfaction'.
lookup 8663759723 on this website, it's another number Telstar also uses and has more posts, including contact information for the company, reason no one is on the line when you answer, etc.
as for me, after many months of letting this company harass me, I contacted comcast today to request they take us off the Telstar list, and they said it was done, effective immediately, and when my husband called again later today, 'a manager of a manager' told him it takes 30 days to get off the list! it's a start.
this company is so annoying... they have been calling us pretty much every day for months now. if I answer the phone, it either hangs up righ away, or there's just nothing. my husband did mention that that company is calling on behalf of comcast, but we have cancelled comcast a month ago, and they're still calling! oh, and when we cancelled comcast to switch over to verizon fios, comcast called us a few times to try to get us back, and those calls did say comcast on the caller id!
These A*holes called my house at dinner time asking about my "new" comcast voice service that some how they seem to think I recieved meanwhile I have had comcast for phone service for over a year and don't know what they are talking about. I call comcast to find out that ya they do hire this outside marketing firm to do proactive questioning on new installations and that a rate change promted a report sent to them by "accident" so that they would call me. How annoying. You can however have them take off your account any proactive solicitation but you have to ask for it. I am more upset that yet another effing outsourced foreign company has my information that has NOTHING to do with the service I have purchased. This crap has to stop.

This number called me each day over the past 3 days. I did not answer it and no message was left. I did just move and had my Comcast service transferred, so I guess the call is a survey regarding that. I will have to answer it next time and complete the servey so they stop calling...

This number called our business cell. No caller ID etc. After we gave our business greeting, they hung up. Elapsed time 5 seconds.

this call was a joke. The caller didn't speak very good English. Said this was a Comcast survey. The 3rd question was what sent me over the edge. Did you create an email address at Comcast.net and receive your welcome message? I've had Comcast internet for years...why would I remember that far back! What would be the point of that questions? I hung up. I need to block this number.
I keep getting calls from this number that I don't answer. The problem?
1. I've been getting at least 1 call every day for over 3 wks now.
2. No VM is ever left.
3. They are calling my new cell # (I got it 1/26/07) & the calls started almost immediatley after I got it.
4. I called this # back, only to find out it was Telstar wanting to make sure my Comcast install was successful.
5. I called Comcast 3 times to advise them that they have the wrong number for someone (as Comcast had called to confirm "my" install appt B4 hand) Comcast actually gave me the name of the person whose acct has my cell# on it!!! Isn't that illegal?
6. I have requested my # be removed from Comcast's records each time & that they notify Telstar of the same--I am still getting calls from Telstar.
7. I have called this # back, but advised that cannot lv message.
8. I waited thru the message again last night--this time I heard a "beep" and DID leave my # requesting it be removed, and to stop calling me. I do not know if the message actully recorded, or if it will do any good.
9. No one at Comcast seems to know how to reach Telstar.
GRRRRRR! I have a "pay-as-you-go" cell #, so I do not answer (and pay for) any calls I do not recognize--but I am getting tired of having to delete the missed call list from Telstar!!!
(And besides, don't you think they would give up wanting to see if I was happy w/my install after over 3 wks?!)
