Received call at 11:40a PDT. i did not answer, since i did not know the phone number and the area code was not familiar. According to other sites reporting phone calls from that number, it's a scam. Glad I didn't answer.

Call back to 864-223-1911 states the number is not in service.

Rec'd a call from this number. Did a reverse lookup through Google and found several sites and blogs claiming this is a scam artist if you answer the call. My answering machine caught the call, but they hung up. I don't know the validity of this being a scam, but I thought I would warn others to beware just in case it is.

This number has called several times in the past week. It shows up on my caller ID as M C Mitchell. There were several times that I was not home when this number called, but the times I did answer I got different things. The first time a guy said he was from Sprint and my number was chosen to receive a free cell phone. I told him I was not interested. He responded saying "You don't want a FREE cell phone" and I said no and he hung up. Tonight they called again around 6 p.m. and said they were from Verizon (it was a guy) offering a free cell phone. Again I declined and he hung up. At 9:30 p.m. tonight (on a SUNDAY) a woman from this number called. I played around asking what I had to do and she went on how they would send the phone to my doorstep all they needed was my name and address. I asked where she was calling from and she said Protel. She gave me an address of 1228 Beverly Hills Drive Los Angeles, CA 90174 and a phone of 800-207-0378. I than told her that I was not interested that I've gotten several calls from this number and several times I've said I wasn't interested and that they need to take my number out of their system. She hung up. I called that 800 number back and it appears to be a fax machine. I'm looking stuff up on the internet to see if I can find this address but nothing. This is really annoying especially when they call at 930 on a sunday night.

after reading all of your comments....this has to be an attempt to rip people off. A woman with a foreign accent, called me at my workplace, introducing herself as calling from Verizon Wireless.....(I have Sprint). As soon as I heard her introduction, I stated..."this is my workplace, please take me off your list".....and hung up. But, after reading all these comments, I'm convinced this is a scam and these people have nothing to do with wireless networks.....

Called twice, once unknown, second time with the 1911 number. First call was for a sprint phone, second was no respoce.

'Free phone from Sprint' Scam from India; they've called me on other phones as well. The irony? I work for Sprint.

Recvng calls from these scam scum for about 8 months now. They call from many different numbers also "out of area" and "unavailable" with the same script same voices. I naturally stoped answering after the 4th call. They will stop then continue months later.

If these are people (Independent call center Agents),(At-Home Agents)working for large Companies using large communication systems, maybe we may not see the big picture in the eyes of these large Companies.

I have not had a cell phone in 10 years and my landline is unlisted.
Makes me wonder, how can these guys get our "unlisted",DNC List numbers.Cussing at the scum is not the trick.
I thought I saw a link on this site for computer software that can identify and reject these types of (spoof I.D.)calls.

Once again I have to look at some of these large telecommunication Companies and question how far they may reach, ie. collect data, outsource cheap labor/products/services, merge with crazy people/sponsored independent Companies, to attract consumers to a product.

If these guys are at home scam scum out for personal info., there must be some type of satellite/computer technology out there that can track original submitted call location or (location thats using the spoof numbers), so we can find if the actual original signal calls are made in U.S. or other regions.

There are sooo many people here complaining about the the same unidentified group of disturbing rodents.
This will take the people to investigate this all the way through.

An Asian named Steve Williams called from 347-487-1144,said I can get a free sprint phone. I ask where is he calling from, he said the company's name is Digital Mellinium Services 1625 Waterlanding way, NY 11753. I tell him I already have a phone, he ask if I could recommend any friends or family that needs one. GET A LIFE!!! Question? has anyone given them their information and has anything happen to their credit etc.?

I received this call and would not even confirm my name. I quickly discovered through questioning that this was not a legitimate Sprint contact. When I requested information to confirm their claims, he hung up. I went to Sprint website. THIS IS A PERSONAL DATA THEFT SCHEME. They are trying to get your personal information and have hijacked someone's phone number to do it. Please read Sprint's press release regarding the lawsuit they have filed about the data source.

Today is the first day I've received these calls. There've been 9. To stop the calls for now, I just set my phone to only accept calls from the phone numbers that are stored in my phonebook. All others go directly to voicemail.

I was expecting a call from Sprint LVL 2 Tech. When he said "hello I am calling from Sprint" , I could detect an accent perhaps from India.

So I said in my best South Carolin-ese "Hiyo I thout you waz my cousin from over ther in the holler and I waz lookin to pass the phone 'round here to the rest of the kin since you waz callin from back home in SouCaroliner you know what that would mean to them folk doncha?".

He politeley told me he was calling from Los Angeles not South Carolina.

I relpied "Are you sure, you sound exactly like the cousin of mah friend like from my little town 'round the bend from the fork in the river near the drawbridge".

He replied again that he was in Los Angeles in an even more pure Indian accent.

SO I changed back my voice and intonation and said, "I'm sorry my ANI shows your call originating in South Carolina!. He waited a second and hung up.

after this guy calls soooo many times i was as rude as possable hung up on him he called back. he calls back i cuss him out call him all outta his name then hung up. he still calls back like 10 times. my son tells him not to call back but he still calls. i told him that i didnt want the phone ..but the weird thing is that it did not even come buy mail it was thrown in my yard and my friends phone was done the same way well if you get the call tell him to put the phone in his ass ...and if he askes you for you credit card number tell him thought that is was free you dumb ass rag head...well just letting you all know that phones are droping out of the sky so i guess all i can say is burn the bitches up if you get the chance to do so

He called to tell me I had been selected for a free Sprint phone. I told him not only did I have a Sprint phone but that I worked for Sprint. He then hung up.

Recieved 9 calls from this number over last 2 weeks. All hangups. I googled the number and came to a blog which contains info from tons of people who have all been called from this number dating all the way back to March 2006. Sprint says the number isn't one of theirs.

I've got a call today, called the number back not a working#. I didnot give him a chance to offer, he asked for some one and I info he had the wrong #.

this number comes up as "unknown" on our phone, but they continue to ring our fax machine. The thing is, both our phone and our fax line numbers are listed on the Do Not Call registry, so whoever this is, they are violating the law!

My husband received a call from this number and the person on the other end was claiming they were from T-mobile. They told my husband that he was going to receive a free camera, flip phone and my husband told them he did not need one. I called the number back and it said the number I was trying to reach was not in service. I also googled the phone number and found all the comments about this number. My husband found out this number is a South Carolina number. I believe it is a scam. I called my local news station and told them about it, I hope the news will look into it and try to stop them.

I got a call about 9:00 and I told him I couldn't talk right now then my phone rung two more times with unknown numbers about 10:40 then it rang again with this 864 number he told my number put up to get a free phone worth 200.00. I told him I was not interested and what was he doing calling me at 10:45 he said he was sorry, I had to end up hanging up on him.

I recieved a call from Gary Moore last week. I said hello then pause then I said hello again then she said hello and said I can get a free sprint cell phone. I then hung up and called back *69'd it. The operator said the phone number was disconnected. Tonight 7/23/2007 I got the same call from the same guy said.I said hello he mumbled hello. I then said hello again then no answer then said bye and hung up. I did some research online and phone on serveral sites that this happened to other people. I contact my loacl police station to report it.

I filed a complaint with teh FCC and received an offical letter from Sprint cc: FCC and this is what they have to say:
Sprint Nextel did not authorize or condone this subdealer's activities.
Sprint has removed my umber from their internal do not call list and I have not received a call from this number in weeks.
I filed all these complaints online to various agencies included the Attorney General's office and Governors office of AZ. The FCC and Sptint itself was what got me relieve.
So file your complaints today. Good Luck everyone.

i think your right TOM. Same indian accent and auto dialor delay. this time i said hello enough to keep him on. mentioned sprint and my number being selected for a free phone.

This SHADY corp got ahold of Sprint/Nextel cell numbers and are basically cold calling. this is my guess.

This telemarketer claims to be calling "on behalf of Sprint". He has an accent, probably Indian or from that region. When answering, the line doesn't pick up right away, which usually indicates an auto-dialer setup; when you answer there's a slight delay while the call is transferred from the automated system to this guy. That's probably why some people report that nobody is on the line. After aggressively pressing this guy for a while, I finally got him to directly admit he isn't a Sprint employee, but claims to work for "Digital Millennium Services". This guy sure doesn't sound like a "Gary Moore", so maybe the reverse lookup info is outdated. He (or someone similar) has called several times before, and when I bother to take the call I always clearly refuse the offer and request to never be called again; obviously that doesn't work.

I've gotten 30 calls in the last 20 minutes from a gentleman reporting to be calling on behalf of Sprint Wireless. Called the number back and got an operator intercept that stated "This number is no longer in service".

Received a call from this # at 8:55pm. I had to say hello several times and finally get a "how are you." Bit the guys head off for phoning so late and he goes on to tell me how my # was chosen to receive a free cell phone. I told him I wasn't interested and to remove my # from his computer. I got this call twice on my cell. It is those SC people. I missed both calls and did not call back. At 8:20 pm tonight, around 8:45 pm last week.The White Pages reverse phone is listed as the SC Scarlett person. Creepy, how did they get my cell number.

I have received four calls from this number. I'm wondering if it is one of those "link" calls that once they get you on line they have technology to place other long distance calls and have them billed to your number. I'll not answer any more of their calls.

On my caller ID it comes up as "Gary Moore", backed up by Google search. But just hangs up on me. Busy signal when I redial.

As I was reporting this I received another call, tried to answer but they hung up when I did. I guess they will go on blocked callers list.

Called 6/16 at 7:50am and 6/17 at 8:30am. First time, said they were going to send a Sprint cellphone to us, my wife said "Good, I'm going back to sleep now and hung up." This morning the Asian fellow said he was from Sprint but then we were disconnected. This is a landline and we have no business relationship with Sprint.

I just received phone call from this number today and they said they are calling on behalf of Sprint. They are some kind of telemarketers trying to sell Sprint service but I think it's not authorized by Sprint.

This company is SPRINT

Received a call from "Danny Smith" at Digital Millennium Services (sounded like an Indian call center) offering a free UT Starcom cell phone if I set up a new Sprint account. They called my cell phone number and said I was pre-approved at this home phone number because of my good credit. Then proceeded to ask for my personal information because "all we have is this phone number which was selected randomly to received this one-time offer."

The guy was persistent, but oh my, they need a new script.

Got call at 9:45 local. Rec'd quite a few times before and always, no voice, no nothing. When i try to call back, i just get a busy number. looked up on goggle found this is a SCAM. guy asks for name, birthday and SSN

I got a call from this number and searched for it here. I do telecommunications so I am hear at least once a week. I work on a PBX and I do not want people to call me directly where I work, so I can alter the digits that are being sent to the phone company to say anything. What I am trying to say is that is probably what they are doing as well. It is probably a scam. When I call back, it is always busy.

Called from 864-223-1911; dead air call. Released after two attempts to get them to acknowledge. I am a Virgin Mobile USA customer, our company uses the Sprint network. My Sprint phone also received a call from this number last week. Maybe it's something to do with a information leak in Sprint's system?

I was in a rush when the phone rang this evening, and when no one responded to my initial "Hello?" I got irritated. I repeated my original hello, then threatened to hang up if I didn't recieve a response, at which time they hung up, causing the phone to click very loudly in my ear. We don't have caller id on the phone I picked up, so I *69'd them and got this number. After reading a few of these posts, I tried calling the number to see if I'd get the same out of service message, but have repeatedly heard only a busy signal. So I reported them to the National Do Not Call Complaint Registry, as we are on the do not call list.

Got a call from this number at 4:29pm this afternoon. There was no one on the other end.

If I answer, there is a few seconds of silence, then they hang up. When I call the number, I get a message saying the number is out of service.

I just get a call from this same # 864-223-1911 & a message was left with someone heavily breathing on the other end. On my caller ID, which is blocked to ANY caller that doesn't identify themselves it came up, "unknown" (all in lower case), so I figured it was telemarketing scheme of some sort, as without a person/company unblocking their ID, it wil not allow a call to come through (well... it's not supposed to.) I am also unlisted. Best policy is if an unknown # comes up on your caler ID, simply do not answer it. IF it's important, someone will leave a message (but that still doesn't mean it's not a scam.) If you get repeated calls from the same #, simply block the #, if you have that abililty/feature on your phone service. They usually charge for this service, but maybe if enough consumers complain enough to the FCC & other regulating agancies, we can screen our calls like email - have an exclusive list & be able to set perameters of our own to filter unwanted calls. I am also on the "do not call list" I received a call VERY shortly after also from a "unknown", and number wasn't available on my cell phone, so I'm guessing whoever is doing this is getting info from some sot of database. I do not give out my cell number to but a VERY few people so it's conceiveable that they are getting it from the pre-paid cell service I have or some other such database. Hmm...

Phone call on caller id said unknown, tried to call back and said phone number not in service. Yahoo search stated south carolina, don't know anyone there.

It's mother's day, and got this stupid scammer (I'm assuming) calling interupting my day. But, never let it ring more than twice, so by the time i pick it up, no one's there. But in the past i have gotten the "free phone from sprint" call. Rarely use the landline, so not sure if it was the same number.

Called at 1:07pm Hawaiian Time (7:07pm Eastern). Left no message. Called the number but got message saying the number is not in service.

I filed a complaint with the Michigan Attorney General back in December '06 and I still get calls. 27 calls in January - 30 calls in February. It's never going to stop. Now I just play games with them, like "How long can you keep them on the phone" 46 minutes is my record to date. So far I have learned it is more than 1 person, and best I can figure is they are after Social Security Numbers. The scam changes from week to week, free sprint phone, free verison phone, ect. If asked where they are calling from they always say New York, however not one of them has been able to remember which county they live in or, work in or, know what the weather is like in New York. Sometimes the caller ID says "S Carolina Call", and sometimes "unknown" but, it is definately the same people.

AARRGGGHH!!!! It's 9:00 p.m. and again these people call! This time I picked it up and hit the # sign 6-7 times. I was told that this will confuse the computer that may be dialing and could possibly throw my number out of the system. I tried it because I had nothing to lose. Then I hung up abruptly.

I have seen that thisn umber is assigned to some people named Moore. I am wondering if these idiots that are calling are using that name as a coverup.

I'm not calling them back because I am afraid that they will get a record of my number to keep calling.

I am on the Do Not Call List but I think that this number gets by because it is considered a private home number.

I am thinking about answeting next time (if I get a call) and telling them to send thephone to the nearest Sprint dealership in my area code with the phone number they called attached (as proof that it is me) and I will pick it up. Bet they will hang up considering it requires no info from me.

I received a call from this number tonight ~ saw it as a missed call when I got home. Searched the Internet for the source just like you did. I have a "do not call" tag on my number. So if he calls again, I'll report him. It's a $11,000 fine ~ if they are actually enforcing that law.

I am in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area and I keep getting calls from Greenwood, S.C. (864)223-1911. They have even started calling on Sunday mornings as early as 8:00 a.m. I have asked that they quit calling but the man with the foreign accent just ignores and keeps insisting that he send me a free phone from Sprint.

i got a call with this number ,the guy told that i've been selected to receive a free cell phone from sprint .

he took my details and they called me again and told that i got approved for a free cell phone and verified the details and after 5 days i got a cell phone from sprint . its a legit call .

This number among many "unknown" numbers keep showing up on my caller ID for the past month. Last night on Easter Sunday (4/8/07 at 8:33pm) I decided to answer because I was pissed! This asshat with an Indian accent was on the other line and just as others have mentioned...he was sarcastic with me when I laid into him saying "this is the 6th time you guys have called me this week! And now on Easter Sunday you're bothering me at 8:33pm?" He immediately said "Happy Easter Ma'am" I said "Do not patronize me! I want you to remove my number from your computer right now and never call here again because I am very, very upset!" He had the nerve to say to me "very, very upset ma'am? Not just very upset? Very, verrry upset?" I told him to f-off and he hung up on him.

He called me again tonight at 7:09pm, same telephone number and same Indian towelhead muther-effer! I was furious as you can only imagine! I answered with a very abrupt "helllloooo!!" because there was a long lull at the beginning of the call at first, just like the night before. Then the same a-hole said "Hello, this is Sprint calling" and I said "yes, and you called me last night too on Easter Sunday at 8:33pm!! I'm very upset that you did not heed my request by removing me from your call list or computer system, you need to remove me NOW!" Then I asked for his name and he said "Sorry ma'am but I did not call you last night, my name is Christopher" then he hung up on me. Piece of crap bastard!

I just a received a call from this #on my cell phone, but because it was unknown to me I did not answer. I did a search on Google and here I am.

Well they just called me again. I let him tell me all his speal and every so often I would hit a number key so it would sound on his end. When he asked for my personal information I said hold on, beeped the phone again and said "operator did you get the trace, this is the number that called me yesterday. He guy hung up. Just got this call from Digital Millenium Jericho, NY. I won a Sprint Phone but I needed to give them my address, DOB, DL #, SS# in order to get it. I got online and found this site and then irritated them by asking questions. The one that drove the guy to hang up was continuing to ask the names of his supervisors...and then his name. All Indian-type accents but their names: Brad Williams, Jonathan Walker, Max Kelly. When I asked how so many foreign accents in one office could all have anglo names, he hung up. We must find a way to stop this BS. OUR COUNTRY IS BEING UNDERMINED BY LOOP HOLES.

There's only a handful of places that have this phone number other than friends and relatives.

Use a proxy to post here. He's already got your number. Maybe even your name. And if you are not using a proxy, it's possible that he now has your IP address too. That's all that's needed to start hacking.

They want your name, address and social security number and won't give you a valid number to call THEM at. They hung up on me when I insisted I wasn't going to give my SS# to them just because they told me to "trust them".

I got a call from this (864) 223-1911 number today at 4:26 p.m. I was on the phone with my friend so I didn't answer it. Didn't leave a message and I'm glad I didn't answer... since apparently this person is calling everyone. When I googled it, it said it's from South Carolina and I don't know anyone from S.C. Creepy.

You get the idea. You should report them to the DNCall Registry, but don't expect much. They are "spoofing" their caller ID. They need a number to show up when they call because many people will not answer a "private" or "N/A" number. But the number that shows up is very likely not real (or once was real).

Imagine the poor sap who's number they chose to use as the "spoofed" number. Is it any wonder that it's now disconnected.....

Received a phone call earlier in the day from same area code and was Sprint, received another phone call around 8:47pm and there was dead air.

These people have repeatedly called my house in the last week. Today alone I have received five phone calls from them and when I asked for a supervisor on two separate occasions the person on the other line hung up on me.

We are registered with the National do not call registry and we are reciving calls 3 to 4 times daily. We asked sprint to discontinue these marketing calls and we are still reciving them. If this continues we will file a formual complaint.

Seemed shady since I'm on the Do Not Call list. Thankfully, there's always my trusty bud, Google, to separate the important calls from the crap. Next time they call I'll answer that it's the police department...or FBI...maybe that'll help.

This is a credit card scam where they have someone from India calling to have you sign up with Verizon, Sprint or another wireless carrier and ask you for your credit information. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO. Report them to your Attorney General, FCC, FTC and the Do Not Call registry so they can track them down and put an end to these harassing calls.

I've been receiving calls from this number since October 2006. I get calls between 5am and 9pm almost everyday. The company that they claim they are calling from is Digital Millenium Servies in New york state. I have spoke to a company representative by the name of Jasmin and Diane and have told both to remove my number, but this has not happened. Just today on a Sunday morning a was awken at 5am by the same caller. I have listed my number with the National "DO NOT CALL" Registry since 2/26/2006, and have expressed this to the telemarketers, but at that point they simply hang up. This man places me on hold and comes back and says I need to pay a deposit of $150 and asked for my credit card #! I asked for the name of his company and address and he stated it was Digital Millenium Services 1625 Water Landing Way Jericho NY 11753 and that his name was "Sean Smith" I have never known an Indian-accented person to have such common name!

This scammer is also impersonating himself as a Verizon Wireless rep. They are still investigating.

I thought I had ridden myself of this parasite. On THANGSGIVING DAY this guy calls. I put him on speaker and went along with the info he needed (fake of course) and then let him know about this website and that WE all know where and what country he's in. He eventually hung up.

Kept getting the calls. Claims he is from Sprint with free phone. I found this site. Decided to play them. Put on an accent and went to town.

Afterwards I called Sprint and it took nearly 50 minutes to finally get somebody in their Fraud division to talk to me.

If you are a Sprint customer. Dial *2 and ask them to connect you to the Fraud division. Ask that they do NOT put you into the automated attendant. (At the writing of this (11/21/06) they made changes tot eh automated attendant and it is incorrect and will put you in a loop with no way out but to hang up and re-call).

Tell them your story. Also contact your local and state's attorney general's fraud office.

Called it at midnite MST, a black woman answered I had obviously awoken her and she said "There have been no calls from this phone, we are asleep." She sounded like she was. I rec'd 2 more calls from this same guy today...(am and just now @ 2pm. This morning I answered and told him he won a free cell phone from sprint, where should I send it? All he said was 'How did you know?' He is a moron. I hung up. I told him the same thing again this afternoon, and hung up, maybe he will give up on me. He uses different names, 1st it was doug, now shawn patterson. And when I googled the #, it doesn't show as a Greenwood.SC # anymore, it says from Texas. Which is crap too. What can you do?

I was being harrassed by these people, saying I won a free Sprint phone. They were calling a few times a day. Each time I would answer and tell them I don't want their phones. I think I have finally gotten them off my back.....I SHOUTED AT THE TOP OF MY VOICE, screaming obscenities at the guy, telling him where to shove his phone. Haven't had a call in a week.

He told me that I won a free phone from sprint. I told him that I was an alltel customer and I didn't want the phone. This guy and sometimes a woman continues to call my phone, sometimes four or five times a day. Once called me thirty minutes after I told them that I wasn't interested. This has been going on for about a month.

Just received call at 7:54 am this morning....came up Unknown name....when called back as this is a local call for me....And I know exactly where this call is coming from...said was no longer in service...I have been receiving at least 4 calls per day the last week or so...starting at about 7:55 in the morning....I will try harder to answer the phone next time....Am going to have a local cop check out the address this week...

This is so annoying I am thinking of having my number changed, but it might happen with a new number. I shouldn't have to do that because of these jackasses.

This guy is calling my terminally ill father, and is asking for me.. I haven't lived in that location in over two years. And it looks like every one else is having the same problem.. He is calling for me, but when my dad tells him that I don't live there, he becomes agitated. This started about two weeks ago. I even went so far as to contact one of the neighbors to have them send a message to the address, on the reverse look up.. no one has called me at my Louisiana residence. But just like everyone else you get a disconnect notice when you call. My dad said that the guy had a middle eastern accent and to put someone on the phone that he could understand and they hung up
My dad also said that at some times there appeared to be an Asian accent also.. Either way, they are calling multiple times a day.. its driving my dad nuts.....

Since 10/24 when I tried to push the conversation along by answering his questions and being friendly, he hasn't called.

There is no point in filling complaints with the do not call people.

These are overseas identity theft scamsters using a FAKE caller ID number.

They cant be traced. period.

You can tell its an overseas boileroom.

I played with them for awhile to waste their time.

4th call in 2 days. 1st time I told them to screw off. They called back again twice today so this time I went along with it.

Free cell phone, free everything but then after they got all my information including birtdate, they wanted $36.

I told them no.

Obviously, I gave them fake info.

Clearly overseas scamsters collecting info to use for identity theft and soforth.

The broken english was the first clue. Even worse than those who work for my credit cards !

I am in So. Mississippi. THIS IS A SCAM FOR IDENTITY THEFT! Last Friday I got so angry after 5 calls that I called Sprint corporate headquarters in Kansas City and spoke to Lisa Davis. It turns out it is not Sprint calling at all. I told them I am on the Do Not Call list but they kept calling anyway. I received the last call last Friday night after reporting the problem to Miss Davis that morning. She said I would get a free phone, free shipping & handling, etc. She needed my full name, date of birth (to verify I am over 18 years old), & my complete address. She said I would have a 9-digit PIN number to activate my cell phone when it arrived. She wanted my PIN now while we were on the phone. The PIN number had to be my Social Security number! I told her I knew they were identify thieves and that I had already reported the calls to Sprint Security. She hung up and I haven't gotten any calls since. Miss Davis said she had received other complaints. I called Miss Davis back today after the identity thief called last Friday night and told Miss Davis about the personal information the caller wanted. If anyone has your full name, date of birth, complete address, and Social Security number, they can apply for credit anywhere! Miss Davis' number is (toll-free) 877-875-7505. This is Sprint's customer service number. There are 2 Lisa Davis's at that number. The lady I spoke to twice is African American. She was very helpful and nice.

more calls from morning to night, starting @ or around 8 in the morning and continuing until 1130 - 12 in the evening. did, however, speak to a young man who did identify himself as a Sprint representative and told him of complaints to the FCC and the carrier of the phone number, he told me that he was aware of the complaints. I then cursed him out a bit. I feel kind of bad about that bit, but it is so dang shady. They of course have since called again, and I ... just called again, asked the guy what call center he was calling from. It is 1265 Landing Way (?) Jericho, NY. This may be why the guy was trying to connect with the fellow from NYC, I'm going to end this post and try to find the number for that address.

I got a call from this number to, I looked up on the internet grom google,
he called 2x but they were miss calls, I called the mumber back and it was getting a error message this number is no longer in servcies.
I knew something was up, but when I read everybody comments of this number, and I put 2 and 2 together I knew this person is a fake.

I have a lot of time on my hands. That said, I looked up the number, looked up the address, even got (a nice color glossy photograph with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back explaining what it was), called some of the neighbors to make sure this wasn't some friend squatting in the residence making use of a homemade lineman's set to beep out a message to an estranged ally. I did mention that I have a lot of time on my hands. They do have a nice pool in the back, but it appears to be a seasonal residence. Maybe people are renting out their numbers when they aren't on site? the phone number is not an active one. When dialed, I reveived a polite message that no-one has this number. Hell's bells, I just now received a call from the buggers, and have been for months. Maybe the house is calling me, a'la haunted variety of a polling domicile (you know how nervous houses don't like picking up the phone, not to mention lack of opposable thumbs, even though they do have wings, it being a ranch house and all), or it could be a false forwarded number, I wish I had the ability to ping a phone. But I digress, Bank Of America has farmed out it's number as well (to an insurance company; don't cuss them out on the message, it only makes them call more) I wish we could make a server that would bombard these jackals with phone calls electronically, sort of like a Cult Of The Dead Cow mail bomb, that would spread viscous strawberry jam all over their attempts to ruin my meal of Ramen noodles and tea.

Agent said the same Sprint spill. I told them this was against the law. They must have given me bogus information because I've been trying to find out where this "business" is located. I spoke to a Supervisor named "Karen" the address they gave me was:

I have contacted Alltel, and they are having this investigated. If anything strange shows up on your bill, you should call your carrier immediately.

I've seen this call come up several times. My son is stationed in MS, and I never know if this is him calling. When I called back, I got a recording that said it's not a working number. They called back, and I told them that I had reported Sprint to the Better Business Bureau and that they were NEVER to contact me again. The guy apologized. I, too, am an Alltel customer.

i set my phone not to ring or vibrate to this number, but i do see the missed calls. the next time they call i will answer "sprint customer service" and ask them for their resale id #.

Rec'd call at 4:30pm, i IGNORED IT. i FIGURED HE IS A SPAMMER TRYING TO RIP PEOPLE OFF SINCE i GOT ONE OF THESE CALLS ABOUT A MONTH AGO. pisses me off!

He called again and this time I answered and put him on speaker in front of all my friends. He went on his script about the new Sprint phone. Sounds like he's getting info for identity theft. There is a very long delay when you speak with him.

Missed a call on my cell phone from this number. Received call last week from same number. It was an unsolicited sales pitch. I told them I was on the do not call list.

I told this guy I was on the Nat'l Do Not Call list, but he started telling me that not all companies are notified of the list, blah, blah. I told him that if he called again, I would contact an attorney.

I have been getting the call's but I don't answer because I did not know the number.

This guy has called me 3 times already. Each time he has a different name...one time he is David..the next he is Mark. He must have also moved as of yesterday he was in NY and today he is in NC (with a SC area code). I told him if he is in NC to let me know exactly where so I can put my foot in his ass. His response "do you want a free phone"
We called Sprint and this guy is NOT from Sprint. They said they have been getting alot of calls about this guy. I showed them this posting board and they were shocked. If you are getting the same guy calling please post up about it.

Rec'd a call at 620pm(cst) it was a missed call. Tried to call back and recording said that the number is not in service. no clue..

I just called a number from another post about a (704)# and he said he'd find out who it was and tell them to stop calling. Call (701)456-3700 and anyone there will take their number and yours. Also, file a complaint everytime this number calls with donotcall.gov. It may not have an immediate affect, but it can only help.

Have been receiving calls from this number 3 times a day at least for the past 3 days with no message left. When I returned the call on the 3rd day I got a recording saying the number is disconnected.

Someone from this number is calling me 3 times per day. He says he's from Sprint and has a new service plan for me. I finally told him I was not changing service and to NOT CALL BACK. He called back in the next hour. Tried to call the number back and it's not a valid number. Is there anything we can do about this fake accent boy?

Got a call from this number on my cell phone, it rang once then hung up. I also tried to call the number back and got a "this number is no longer in service" message.

Tommy told him he was tramatized as a child because when he was a child his dad held him down and shove a broom handle up his anus (no offence to anyone). He proceeded to ask for names and info again, we refused and he told us he knew our name. He said it was Carol Gamby (I get tellemarketer calls for her all the time). I got pissed and asked him "Do I sound like a f*cking carol To you?!?!" He started to sound frightened so I asked again. He told me I didn't sound like a carol so I asked why'd he say that?, I asked "did you think that sh*t was funny?!?!?". He said he didn't want any trouble so tommy said "Look my sister's here now, she's waiting for me to please her. Call me back in an hour we should be done having sex and might buy the phone." He actually hung the phone up.

Yeah I got a call from some asian guy talking about a free cell phone from sprint. I told him I already had a phone but that wasn't enough. My friend tommy calls so I join him in on a conference call. He tries to give me and my friend the phone but we repeatedly refused. So we start to make up very elaborate stories hoping he'll hang up and never call again...we were wrong. This is where it gets funny. He started by asking for our name and address we told him we can't give our name to strangers. So Tommy told him he wanted to get to know him better. He asked about his favorite foods, color, tv shows, etc. I on the other hand was listening and laughing. He appearently likes pizza, doesn't watch too much tv, and never replied on a color. Then He asked for my information again and we refused. He said he knew we stayed in North Carolina so we told him we were moving to West Virginia...because they allow incest (No offence WV). He didn't know what incest was so we explained that it meant to have sexual relations with an immediate family member. We said we like to have sex with our cousins and sister. He asked how often we did it and we replied "all the time". He said he had sex with his cousin 6 times. After that he asked about how we felt about gay sex, and meeting up in NY. I told him that sh*t was f*cking sick (no offence to gays)!

Called several times tis weekend. 8:20 Sunday morning and several times after that. Called again this morning, I did not get to the phone any ioof tyhe time but when I called back, got the recording that it si anot a working number

I have received calls from this number several times this passed week. Today is Sunday 10-15-2006 and I received 4 calls today!!
They said they were from Sprint and I could have a free Cell Phone. I told them I do not want it and do not call again.
I asked them to remove me from there calling list each time. No such luck.
I have reported it to the National Do-Not Call list.

I received a call from this number today, but couldn't answer the call, but nor could I call back to see who was the person called me.

Missed the calls from this number before but finally answered. Guy asked for Dan and I said this is him. He hung up. Called the # back and got the out of service recording. Strange.

I recieved a two calls from this number 10-19-2006. First call was at 12:19pm and the second call was at 5:16pm. I called Sprint and they were vexed by the situation and oculd only offer me more minutes since they can't block a call that shows up as a "not in service."

This number has called me 4 times now...Once 10/8/06 at 1:22, then 3 more times while I was at work 10/9/06 8:13am,1:54pm and 2:57pm. I have a prepaid cell phone, so I generally don't answer numbers that I am not familiar with.

Got a call from this at almost exactly 2 p.m. PST 100906. On my cell phone. I didn't answer it. I accidentally answered a call (forgot to take down the number) the other day that was silent when I flipped open my phone (I was trying to make a call, and the unk call coincidentally came in right before I flipped open my phone), and I can't help but think the two incidents are related. No message. Caller ID just showed the number, no other info.

So far they've called twice within 2 hours...no msg left. I tried calling back and it says # is disconnected. This irks me when telemarketers and/or scammers get my cell phone # and continuously harrass me.

Ok well a couple days ago I got like five phone calls within 8 minutes and it came up opn caller ID as "restricted" i answered four times and no answer so on the 5th call i pushed ignore. well now a week later i am getting calls from this nu,ber like in the morning and at night..annoying!!!

Some guy tried to get me to get a new cell phone from Sprint. didn't sound right to me. he didn't even know that I already had Sprint. I think he is trying to scam people.

I got this call at 8:26 AM and decided not to answer a call from a strange number early in the morning. I noticed they did not leave a message, and so I called the number back. A recording said the number was out of service. Shady.

called at 8:45 pm. I was already in bed. Thought it might be someone I knew, so I looked it up on the net.

Second time I've received a call from this number on my cell. I did not answer.

Rec'd call at ~12:34pm. I didn't answer, they left no message and when I tried to call back it a recording said the number was no longer in service. I dialed it back immediately after they didnt leave a message and got the recording.

This guy is a but head on the other end of the line. He said I have been choosen for a free sprint cell phone I told him I all ready had one from alltel. He hung up. Called again today I told him the same thing and asked him if he wanted a free knoppix cd shipped just to get his responce & hung up before he could respond. Next time he calls I will ask him if he wants a free knoppix cd again & give him time to respond. I don't like scammers & I fight back verbally over the phone to them just to stump them.
